This site is incredible. I use it all the time to access my computer at home from work. Never had issues. It's fast and reliable. They also provide really good apps for android and iphone. Highly recommend.
10 months are remaining on my year-subscription. Unlike most services, LogMeIn will not refund the next 10 months that we will not be using the subscription. Customer for many years. Clunky software and the service is even worse. Hung up on me the first time that I called to cancel.
Logmein is a good remote access software. I like many of the others that have reviewed Logmein were happy with the product and the pricing and service several years ago. They have continued to increase their cost. Not just incrementally but exponentially. I've called several times in the past couple of years to address their auto renewal and cost increase to no avail. I called to cancel the subscription that I had with them and asked them to prorate the exorbitant fees. They auto renewed me at the end of September. They told me that they couldn't prorate the remaining 9 months. (The annual fee was $2000) I asked them to show me where I had a agreed to those terms and they couldn't, they said that was just their policy. My advice is to stay as far away from Logmein as you can. There are better solutions out there for remote access to your computers.
I have been using LogMeIn for years, when I was managing a small (10-15 PC's) office of an engineering company my wife had. It was great! (2005-2007). Easy to use, intuitive interface, one almost felt the product knew what you need/want to do, and it made my life as sys admin easy.
Years later, I get the "trial" version, and all I wan to do it to access my desk top at home from my new laptop I'm taking w/me on holiday trip. I can't do it! The damn thing is all screwed up. I created account, installed it on desktop, logged in with the same credentials on laptop, installed it on laptot... and I CAN'T FREAKING CONNECT! The computers (DeskTop and LapTop) don't see each other! I spent 3 hours trying to do the most basic of installations/configurations - one PC trying to access another one. Brand new install. NOTHING WORKS!
People at Logmein, how did you manage to screw up a great product? And you now want $350/yr to buy it? NO FREAKING WAY!
I have all these warning signs going off in my gut. I have been called several times by "UNKNOWN", who turns out to be LogMeIn123.com. They claim to be with Microsoft Tech Support. I believe that this is FALSE. Plain and simple these calls are nothing more than Sales Calls, with the "Tech" using highly pressured speech to trick anyone into buying their Services by "Running Scans" on your computer, and then notifying you that "No-one can use this computer until you fix it". I ordered them to disconnect and remove my phone number from the Call List after reading the customer reviews.
The company has raised its pricing by 425% in just 4 years.

Try Splashtop.com or tightvnc is a better solution.
Had Log Me In as a last resort option to work from house the past 4 years, but now with making a permanent shift to house during COVID-19 Epidemic there is no way for me to put up with the delay. In the course of 4 years the yearly price went up 10 times the original amount and the speed and response time never increased and may have even got slower. Far to many other options are available these days to overpay for a slow connection.
Autorenew, slimeball sales tactics. I was basically told "go ahead" when I said I was going to dispute the charges. Held my credit card hostage for years. Each time telling me that i agreed to renewing my contract, when I never did. For two years they told me that they had put my account on "Do not renew" and for two years I would call to ask why they kept charging me. They would say that I had once again agreed to autorenew my account when I absolutely had not. I'm not filing a BBB complaint and have already had my credit card company start the process of disputing my charges.
I have been reviewing a lot of remote desktop applications and have chosen Splashtop. It costs me $99 a year and supports up to 10 PC's. The security is strong, it seemed a little harder to install but after my second setup, it's easy. I also think Slashtop is easy to use and I'm glad I had the opportunity to test it! Go take a look and see what you think...
I would NEVER suggest GoToMyPc (now owned by LogMeIn)!
I started out with GoToMyPc and have been a customer for over a decade. When LogMeIn purchased GoToMyPc and they raised the cost by over 400%. Customer service didn't discuss any other opportunities with me and left my only option to cancel the service I had for over 10 years as a customer.
I would not suggest LogMeIn to anyone as they are not customer focused and do not have any interest in retaining their existing business.
Note: I started with GoToMyPc and they were GREAT, that is who I miss...
This company was connected to a company called Seamlesschex.com who sold me a pirated 2020 QB Pro program. They did provide me the program which I had purchased by responding to an email thinking it was officially from Intuit QB when in fact it was a phishing company that got me to pay $626 for a program that is not licensed by QB nor did I really need. I am reporting both of these companies to the Federal Trade Commission and the Police Dept. I am also notifying my Bank and CC companies as they got all that information from naive me. Learn from my mistakes. These thieves are getting tricky these days.
While remotely I was trying to troubleshoot a netwroking problem on a computer (trail version) Some one on the Logmein side typed in my browser challenging me to find their router IP address. Can you image that?! WOW, negative a million stars for LogMeIn.
I have a subscription with Logmein back when the contract was $79. The subscription as auto renew through Paypal. About 2 months ago, I got a notice from Paypal saying I was charged $699. I did not recieve any notification from Logmein about this huge jump in price. When I called up to cancel, they told me that I cannot get a pro-rated refund as my subscription terms required a 30 days notice prior the termination day. Here is the RUB: I my openion, a $79 dollar contract is very different from a $699 contract. The terms I agreed on was based on $79, not $699. This is a suspeciously bait and switch practice, robbery in broad day light.
To make sure LogMein can't auto-renew their scam I had to go to the trouble of cancelling the card I used to pay them the first time. I advise that if anyone else has had the problem of LogMein 's link not responding as it's supposed to, get rid of them and be sure to cancel your card or I suggest you will be billed again and this time it will be for nothing.
I have paid for the service, and in the last few months they changed the system requirements, making my office server OS no longer acceptable. They told me they had posted it on their website, and that I should have been aware. So when I requested a prorated refund for the service I have paid for and cannot use because they changed their program, I was informed that they cannot do that. So I get to pay for the service I cannot use because they cancelled support for an earlier version of Mac OS. I cannot update my OS due to an older software that has no update.
Don't even consider doing business with this company. The actual service was only mediocre and the fact that they make it nearly impossible to cancel is criminal.
Great free software for accessing other computers. I have a few clients and family members with it installed so I can fix their computer, even when they are in another country.
The site is being used by fradulant scammers, they call up, and pretend to be from microsoft or citrix, and than ask you to log in via logmein... so that they can help speed up your PC. Called them to complain, and filed a report, an d the people only ran g legal rings about needing a subpoeana! UXA BS... All i am asking for them is to investigate and block the scammers. Worse is they know there software is being used by Scammers! Dont buy, don't use and nothing from a Co that can't be bothered! Am I Bothered YES...
My company was using Log Me In since 2012. The cost of subscribing to this service has steadily increased and they have no way for you to cancel online. Two years ago we upgrade to Log Me In Central which has jumped from $1581 a year to $2500 last year and now to $3700 this year. My credit card on file had been replaced and right up until renewal it was showing the wrong expiration date. I intended to let their automatic renewal fail and leave it at that. Unfortunately their billing system understands how to update the expiration date automatically when the credit card number does not change. I called them literally TWO DAYS after they renewed to complain and demanded they cancel my account with a pro-rated refund and their support rep just said "No". You have to cancel within 30 days or they'll renew you regardless. These are aggressive billing tactics that I think most people should avoid if they can. Log Me In also owns Last Pass and Join.me so beware if you are customer with those companies.
Tip for consumers:
Software works fine but there are so many less expensive choices out there with far better customer service.
I have used LogMeIn and Cubby for many years both free and paid subscriptions. They have gone from a great helpful company where I recommended them to thousands of my customers to " Do yourself a favor do not use this appalling organization" They have like so many other companies in the IT world never learned how to work with or communicate with their customers. It is too easy to make money so they have no respect or understanding of what their customers want or need. They took $600 out of my account with no notification whatsoever, they said they sent me an email on the 6th Aug 2017 (it didn't come through my sever). I asked why when they were doubling my subscription they didn't ask for any acknowledgement from me that I received the email or approved it. No answer just "that's the way it is" so I cancelled asked for my money back and have gone elsewhere. What they don't seem to understand it like Dell, upsetting a few customers isn't going to hurt such a big company but when those few start giving horrible reviews like this it will eventually kill the company. This is the last of a line of nasty spiteful things they have done to customers in the past few years. Each one could have been handled in a slightly different way and I would have still been a loyal paying customer but their cavalier attitude has finally driven me away. I can only imagine that the person in charge is a very rude selfish brat with little or no understanding of how to treat customers: That or worse they are so arrogant they just don't care. Either way don't waste your time on them there are many much better alternatives.
BEWARE - Logmein will bill your credit card and then take weeks to refund. I love the product but their business practices are highly questionable. I would never trust them with my personal credit card data again. - If you are a small business owner THINK TWICE before you sign up. Can you afford for LogMeIn to S-N-A-T-C-H money from your account without warning and then take weeks to refund it? Take this review to heart: LogMeIn is not someone you want to do business with.
I had been a customer for 4 years with the PC to PC product. It worked as well as some of the other Remote software. They attempted to have a remote solution for Ipads. It DOES NOT work! When I tried to get my money back for the service that doesn't work, they refused to refund my money and I had to cancel my card to get them to stop charging my account. The Technical Support couldn't explain why their product doesn't work, they just sent me a youtube link to try to explain how their product works. Very Very disappointed! I would not recommend this company for any remote control or webinar services!
I had started with LogMeIn about a year after they began their service. It is an excellent product and was, at the time, very affordable. Since they have been bought out they almost doubled their price each year when I renewed. So I gave up (found a different product) and requested termination of the service. I was on a monthly subscription. They continued to deduct my bank account after May 2017. I called them and they said "your contract is for 1 year, you are just making payments". I spoke with my bank, Wells Fargo and stopped the transactions (stop payment requires seller identification and a fixed amount. Much to my surprise, they suddenly deducted $350.00 from my account on January 12. I called and they said "there is nothing we can do about that, you have signed an agreement and you are required to pay" (untrue, I never signed anything.
So, back to the bank to get the illegal transaction removed.
Don't fall for their tactics to get you started, you won't be able to get away from them.
Here is the simple truth:
2005 - 2015 ~$69/yr
2016 = $162/yr
2017 = $190/yr
2018 = $349/yr (website price. They offered a discounted price of $249/yr when I called to cancel my >10 year subscription)
NO LONGER WORTH THE PRICE. TIME TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE
Gotocom*logmein auto renewed my account without my authorization, charged my credit card and refuses to refund the charge even though the account is no longer used and wasn't for the last 8 months of the prior term. Customer service rep Mauricio stated the policy was NO REFUND for any reason. This is criminal.
Tip for consumers:
removed your credit card from the system to avoid auto charge at renewal if you intent to cancel the service

I love this website. A friend of mine who is in IT has set up a profile for my computer, which means that he can help me from a distance whenever I need it. Brilliant!
Contacted tech support for Duplicate Photos Fixer Pro -- a Systweak app. Got LogMeIn who rammed through answering my question in order to try to hard sell me their tech services.
Now I am paranoid that they installed malware on my Mac. AVOID THESE SHADY OPERATORS - BOTH OF THEM
They refuse to cancel the contract and keep on withdrawing money on credit cards.
Unfortunetly there is nothing you can do since customer service doesn't exist
