This site is incredible. I use it all the time to access my computer at home from work. Never had issues. It's fast and reliable. They also provide really good apps for android and iphone. Highly recommend.

“Will not pra-rate cancellation”

10 months are remaining on my year-subscription. Unlike most services, LogMeIn will not refund the next 10 months that we will not be using the subscription. Customer for many years. Clunky software and the service is even worse. Hung up on me the first time that I called to cancel.

Shocking Criminal Scammers, they increase there subscription by 300 - 400 % after the first 2 years, so you feel settled and possibly won't notice what the do! My fees went fro £74 to £359.99 in 3 years. With absolutely no notice or confirmation... This is a complete scam and their staff are also extremely rude and unhelpful.

The first year I purchased this company subscription it was priced at £74 for the year, all fine.

The 2nd year they sent me a renewal notice for £109, quite a bit more but still fine.

The 3rd year they didn't send me a renewal notice at all and it was missed by me that in fact, they had charged my account by £251.00 that's more than double the previous year!

This year they sent me 2 emails stating I needed to update my card details. I did not update these details as I wasn't using the service and didn't really want the service anymore. They sent no notification of the highly overpriced new rate.

Then just yesterday they somehow took £359.99 from my account. When I called them they seemed to act like it was perfectly normal to inflate their prices, like this and were in fact extremely rude.

They have canceled my account as I threatened legal action. However, I'm sure they would not have done this for everyone.!

I now also feel very uncomfortable that they have the software installed on my machine. As they are a very unscrupulous company...

DO NOT USE THEM... UTTER SCAMMERS should be locked up for fraud...!

Hilari Escudero is absolutely terrible. VERY rude and the next "customer care" representative was kind but hardly any help. Spend your money elsewhere!

Tip for consumers:
They will scam you into another year of service!!

I have a MacBook on which I installed LogMeIn. LogMeIn claims you can use your local printer to print from an offsite computer which you have accessed from your local computer. That feature does not work with a MacBook. When I contacted Tech Support, the technician acknowledged the problem, then gave me a lengthy process that I would have to use every time I wanted to print to my local printer from an offsite computer. It was far too cumbersome, so I never used it and wasnt going to renew my subscription to LogMeIn when it expired. Well, LogMeIn automatically renewed my subscription ($69.95) without my permission or knowledge. When I contacted them for a refund I was told that they had a strict no-refund policy. So, I guess it is legal for LogMeIn to steal money from it's customers through their automatic renewal and no-refund policy. If you desire to access offsite computers, you would be much better off using "gotomypc.com." It is a much better program and can be canceled at any time.

They have now tripled the price over the last two years, and there is no option to cancel a subscription.

As a remote access service provider, I cannot stop the auto-renew without speaking to someone - they won't answer the phone.

I called AT&T which provided me a number thinking I was calling AppleCare. The technician, Brad immediately asked me to connect my IPAD2 to my computer. When I connect he immediately went into my files saying I have all these foreign files in my computer and need a CISCO or Microsoft certified specialist to clean my computer. He never addressed my initial reason for calling which was about my IPAD2. He gave me a reference # stating that he can get a specialist on the line but it will cost me between $120-$250 for them to clear my invasion and to put a profession network security on my system. He kept insisting I do this because the specialists don't take any cases, you have to be referred. Immediately this started sounding fishy to me so I told him no and hung up. This morning I immediately called AT&T back to report what I experienced last night and hopefully their fraud division is investigating this because I gave access to all my files and information on my computer. I am very nervous about this situation.

Look, I've used this product for over 10 years and I just canceled my subscription, you know why? Well, because of manipulative and dirty business practices. Let me explain, Auto-Renew is SO auto that you cannot cancel it, there's absolutely no option on their website to cancel. I feel this is a $#*!ty business tactic. If your product is good then let the quality of your product and your customer service sustain your reputation. Don't try to hold your (in my case especially loyal) customers hostage and keeping your account auto-renewing by making it a huge PITA to cancel! Here's another thing, when I tried to downgrade my service from "LogMeIn Pro for Power Users - $349/yr for 5 Computers" to "LogMeIn Pro for Individuals - $149/yr - for 2 Computers" their website wouldn't even show me the option to do so. I even tried to use an alternate browser to access the website without logging into my account and it wouldn't show it to me because they flagged my IP address! So then I really got pissed, closed both of my browsers, cleared the caches, connected to my VPN service and tried to access the LogMeIn Store and guess what, I could see this wonderful option of purchasing the $149/year service. After that experience, I called them and canceled my service. Does there product work? It works well, but they need to change their corporate culture of sneaky, slimmy, and questionable ethics in their business practices. Let your product's reputation speak for itself! I worked there as a customer representative and their sales culture is COMPLETELY UNETHICAL! They hike up prices with no other reason than they thought it should have gone up, and the only "discount" is to offer the previous price. Customers are currently paying the same amount for a TWO computer subscription that they did for a FIVE computer subscription just in 2016! Completely absurd. They do not care about customers as they are lowering the standards in terms of their service reps. Reps have to handle all the (understandably) PISSED customers while they themselves are frustrated with a company that does NOT treat them well. They focus on the fact that they are a "premium" service and they are secure. I can confirm that they are more secure than most other remote services. However they do NOT care about you unless if you are a large company. If you are under PRO and need more than 5 computers with no remote printing move over to CENTRAL. If you are using less than 5 computers, unfortunately they dont care and will continue to rise prices until you leave.

My company has used logmein for our employees to access their desktop machines when they're away from their desks. Until today we trusted logmein to have a presence on machines which have sensitive data on them. We trusted logmein with our data.

This year they hiked their price by 35% (from £189 to £249) and auto-renewed. I discovered the increase when I was reviewing the accounts. They say they sent me an email but I didn't see it. I called them to cancel the service and ask for a partial refund, however they will not turn the service off and they will not refund any of the fee they charged us.

They say that because we used it (in August, several of us were on holiday abroad and this is when we use it the most) they have to charge for the whole year.

From a security standpoint this means that if you are a logmein customer you have an agent installed on your machines provided by a company that will add services you have not requested to your account, change the amount of money they charge you without securing your consent and then take an increased sum from your account without your permission.

So the answer to the question "Will they also steal my data?" can only be "Well, they help themselves to money without asking, so it's best not to risk finding out."

This is the nature of a breach of trust.

Do not install the client, you cannot be sure they will act in your best interests, they certainly didn't in mine.

They also take forever to answer the phone, and if you point out any of the above to their call centre staff, you have a one in three chance of being hung up on.

On the third phone call I was able to get them to agree to delete my payment details but I cannot get them to terminate the service so my guys don't accidentally re-install it on one of our machines thereby opening us up to (what we now know to be) a huge risk.

Utterly amoral.

Avoid.

I am a longtime Logmein user for Prob 15 years. Started off as a free account. I kept on adding more computers till one day they stopped all access and forced me to pay to continue using their service. I loved the service and decided to ignore their forcing me into payment, and just paid for the service.
Over the year they VERY SLOWLY started doubling and tripling the subscription cost. This year they just changed the account type and price from $950+ LogMeIn Central - Basic 100 yearly subscription TO $1,800+ LogMeIn Central Base 100 yearly subscription.
Changing the subscription type from Logmein Central Basic To Base and charging me double without notifying?
I need to call them every single year to get my account back to the Subscription type that I need and then go back and forth to get the price back to something that makes sense.

This year I upgraded to a super expensive subscription which also gives licensing for Kaspersky Anti-virus. Midterm of our current subscription I get an email that support for Kaspersky will stop in September which means that I got Kaspersky for half of the year that I paid for. The real reason they had Kaspersky was to get you hooked with a subscription then force you into using their new logmein antivirus.

BOTTOM LINE,,,,, DON'T SIGN UP/and get hooked WITH LOGMEIN except if you want to get robbed. Your price will go up 100)%+ yearly!
