I called because my baby monitor stopped working (absolutely LOVE the product) I called and the gentleman I spoke with was calm, friendly and very helpful! I was calling for some ideas to try and ended up being sent a full replacement no problem. This company is amazing as well and their technical support. Would highly recommend!
DO NOT BUY ANT LOW.REX ITEMS FROM THIS COMPANY. SERVICE TOTALLY SUCK. THEY NEVER ANSWER THE CALL. MOST OF THE TIME PHONE SERVICE IS DOWN. AND CALL TAKERS DONT SPEAK ENGLISH. THEY ARE TOLD TO READ SAME SCRIPTS OVER AND OVER FROM THE MATRIAL THEY ARE PROVIDED. AGAIN. SPEND $100 OR $200 MORE AND BUY A PRODUCT FROM A RELIABLE COMPANY.
I have purchased 3 systems from lorex. The first one was excellent, the picture is great. Two of the cameras have already gone bad and were replaced. The next two were purchased on August 13 and my order was missing two cameras. I contacted customer service, they assured me that they would send the cameras. I have yet to install my systems because I am missing cameras. It is now October 31 and I am currently on the phone holding(for 55 minutes so far) attempting to get this resolved. I cant even return the systems as it has been past their 60 day return policy. I have called 12 times over the past 9 weeks and still nothing. TERRIBLE.

Worse experience ever. They will jerk you around and do everything to not honor warranty. They have you jump through hoops to get warranty. They purposely mislead and just make you go through endless steps and lie to not honor warrantly. Told many times (after 15 different calls and "required" troubleshooting with tech service which I can't understand and have no clue) that warranty was authorized but I had to email reply with required info they already. They pretend they never get the email I sent 30 times then send me email so case is closed because I don't responds. Liars and bull$#*!. System less than a year old and problem after problem. I am about to throw it in the trash. Tech support is worthless
You'd think that after spending 1k on a security system that their parts department would be easy to get parts... wrong. They don't care. They said they don't carry the power chord and I would have to wait for them to call me back... still waiting and I am not happy... I won't be buying this system for future homes... that's for sure

I've been on hold for a very long time... waiting for someone to chat with me a very long time. So long that I wanted to see if this was a pattern and boy, is it ever. From my experience this morning, I'm afraid the complaints on this site are legit. Purchased a home with a Lorex system and am having trouble getting it operational..
Doesn't work half of the time. When I try to access it from my phone it keeps saying something went wrong.
Uneducated people at customer service. When you call you get more frustrated. That's what they want so you don't call back. Full of s__t.
I just recently called Lorex to get a new adapter for one of our cameras. Simple, right!? Absolutely NOT! They do not answer the phone for hours and when they finally do they don't even speak English, let alone understand English! I was told that the adapter was universal! Not the case! They sent the wrong one! After days/hours on hold with Lorex I finally got through to someone that just kept laughing at me while a representative in the background was yelling the F-bomb the entire phone call! I still don't have the right adapter and it doesn't sound promising! And as far as the cameras go, poor quality, expensive and not worth the money! They also have a lot of lag time. Do not buy! They are very undependable and use up all of our broadband. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!

Oh Lorex! I don't even know what to say! The 16 channel system I bought last week was installed by a professional service and out the box nothing stuck on the welcome screen tried everything and nothing works! I just lost a lot of money today thanks to you guys! Now I have to sit on the phone to do a return which I have been on the phone for an hour already which is why I'm sitting here using this wasted time to write a review. I definitely will be doing a chargeback which at this point may be easier than getting you guys on the line.

3 weeks now waiting for 3 cams that will not work with lorex secure app they changed too lorex home app and all 3 cams do not work with it. After providing all the details they ask for. 3 weeks waiting, no security around my home and they dont seem to care. Nobody on the phone told me the replacements were all sold out. Now i am told 5 to 6 weeks to get my order.
After reading all these other posts i wonder if they will ever come. Or are they just giving us the run around.
Do the wireless outdoor lorex cams work on any other app for android?.
I ordered a 4 camera system with DVR and it shipped reasonably quickly. When it arrived I opened it up and all 4 cameras were wrong and much cheaper than the ones that I ordered. I immediately called support, got them the right info and they said that the expedited replacement cameras would be shipped out within 72 hours. It has been almost 3 weeks and I have spent hours on hold and every time it is "Please call back in two days".
This is my first purchase from Lorex and I am not impressed. They are unable to correct their own mistake. If I would have know that Lorex was such a disorganized company then I would not have purchased their expensive system.
I am to the point of sending them a daily request for status via email and I have yet to get a response to any of them. They already have my money and don't seem to care that I got scammed.
I purchased a premium cloud plan and 6 cameras for my house to work on them. After a few months they discontinue the cloud plan and all the software that supports the cameras. Now I am stuck with cameras that do not record and all I have is a live view of the cameras. Not to mention I still paid for the annual cloud plan that no longer works. They just take your money and run. Stay away from the systems from these guys,
I purchased a NR9082 receiver and have a loud buzzing sound from the receiver and called for replacement yesterday and after almost an hour of waiting on the phone, i was allocated a ticket # ******* and was told that they were transferring me to an advanced dept that would deal with my replacement. I waited another 40 minutes and all i could hear was the intermittent message that that all representatives are busy attending other customers and my call will be answered in a priority sequence. I finally hung up. Today i tried again and right now as i type this, I have been waiting for the last 96 minutes! Still listening to the same message. They have no consideration for customers time. Even if the products are reasonably good, I would never ever recommend Lorex to anyone. Seriously this is the worst customer service EVER.!
I have been waiting on my package now for 2 weeks when I paid for Rush shipping they told me that it was delivered to the wrong address I have been trying to speak with a supervisor for the last week and the only thing that they tell me is a supervisor is busy there's only one on at the moment and they will contact you back. I waited a week for the supervisor Malian (I believe that's the correct spelling, that's the name Sergio gave me and customer service) she still has not called. Called today same response same thing spoke to David said a supervisor will call me back or email me. Customer service that I have received is crappy it seems like they can care less to help you. I have been a Lorex customer for at least 15 years now and I have never received customer service this bad. Anybody know who I can complain to
I purchased a system with an extended warranty less than a year ago and returned a bad camera on an RMA. I could track the shipment as received. Now no-one will answer. Where is my replacement or original camera?
Ordered my cameras 20 days ago. Called customer service but they couldn't even give me a tracking # and the guy told me his system "was $#*!" and he couldn't give me anymore information! I've called 4 times wondering where the order went. Still haven't gotten delivered and I still don't have a tracking #! I will never order from this company again! I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from this company!
I bought their camera system because it said "Flir" on the website but apparently Flir sold them off already. This company is NOT an American company and has no US presence but profits off of selling to US companies and offering nothing more than a cheap pathetic Colombian call center that offers absolutely no solutions whatsoever. Their corporate office is a myth, doesn't exist. The website lists them as having a Canadian address with only an email address to contact them. Their product isn't half bad but their customer service is beyond awful.
We asked about the system and was told to go online and you can download the install book. In it it tells you how to add other manufactures cameras. Perfect so we bought a system. In reality it is there, but Lorex has blocked it and now you can only use Lorex cameras, which are kinda crappy. Had they been honest we would not have purchased, now trying to return. Scam company so not recommended. They mislead you and then say sorry, he must have been new. It is stiil in the manual you can do it, but they lie.

Do NOT recommend this company as the mislead us into buying the stuff and the we find it does not work with the existing cameras we have, as we were told it would. now they want about $1000.00 for all new cameras.

Tech support is a joke! Our system is less than a year old and doesn't work and have created ticket after ticket (x4 now) and telling them our place of business is open 11-5pm. They call at 9:18am! Our business has been unprotected for over 3 weeks so far because they can't get it right! Our call back time has been 4-5 days after they give us an escalated ticket with a specific time of 12 noon they will call. We will never buy this product again with this type of customer service! Horrible!

I wanted to add users to my account so I called the *******739, I was transferred somewhere that did not speak English or understand it. She did not know what is the number sign, hash, or pound sign. She was not knowledgeable of their device. I spend over an hour without getting anywhere.
Update to "Sad in Phoenix" review below: The Vice President of sales, Steve Gold, intervened regarding the issue with the noisy fan in my Lorex security system. FLIR Systems, Inc. replaced my Lorex unit. I am happy to report that the fan in the new unit is working fine. No more sleepless nights! Thank you Steve and Lorex by Flir. You took the time to care about your customers and provided outstanding service. "Happy in Phoenix."
I purchased the Lorex LHV******* Digital Video Surveillance Recorder at Costco on 12/31/2015. The video images are crisp and the DVR records approximately 1 week of footage (the length of time depends on the resolution you choose for your images). Please note that the connectors on the back of the DVR are set very close together, so it makes installation of camera cables a bit difficult, but can be accomplished with patience. Approximately one month ago the DVR started making "dragging noises" as if going through some type of back-up cycle, and now hums constantly, almost like when you purchase a radio alarm clock that has built in sounds to help a person sleep. The DVR sounds as if it is simulating "wave or snoring" sounds. I contacted customer service and they referred me to their Technical Department. Sadly, the Technical Department informed me that my warranty was no longer valid, even though I did extend my warranty on-line. Apparently, I extended a warranty that was already expired. What a shame that my Lorex system started making these "dragging noises" right after my warranty expired. These noises keep me awake at night. The surveillance monitor and recorder is located in my bedroom, and the awful noise interrupts my sleep. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend that you do not purchase this Lorex system, or ensure you purchase a warranty that lasts longer than one year. I am disappointed with the company for not offering to fix their product. I paid almost five-hundred dollars for this product at Costco, and the constant motor sound in my bedroom and lack of sleep is not worth it. Sad in Phoenix.
I have had experience with many companies but the quality of service is terrible. Within two months, I had a camera fail. It has been a month and I still have yet to receive a replacement. I have spent hours on the phone, and at every level of escalation it takes 3-4 business days to receive a response.
Products seem to work as advertised but their customer service really sucks. I've been trying to reach them for more than a week to resolve an issue that started a month ago. Left messages for callback... all he time hearing how important my call is. Never heard a word! Too many headaches... I wouldn't buy from them again.

I am on hold with Lorex as I write this. The timer on my phone indicates 2 hours and three minutes. Wait! They just hung up on me! Unbelieveable! The chat line is almost always "offline", emails are not answered, their support page gets no response. You would think something as mundane as a business's security would have a 27/7 hotline with real people. Not with Lorex! You buy, you are on your own. The products are basically good but if you do have a problem, tough. Flir used to have a very good reputation in industry but Lorex is really giving them a bad name. I strongly recommend looking at other suppliers before approaching Lorex. I for one will never purchase another Lorex product.

No customer support what's so ever they take your money and run. I have tried calling and also left my phone # for call back and still no results. Very very very bad customer support, same your money and make sure you buy from a United States base support.
I have tried for a period of 5 days to reach the technical support extension to this company's number to reset my administrative password. I get meaningless and misleading messages that suggest that the wait times are between 8 - 30 minutes, and then i am abruptly disconnected. I plan on reporting this to the BBB. I cannot use the cloud version of the app as a result.
