I called because my baby monitor stopped working (absolutely LOVE the product) I called and the gentleman I spoke with was calm, friendly and very helpful! I was calling for some ideas to try and ended up being sent a full replacement no problem. This company is amazing as well and their technical support. Would highly recommend!
DO NOT BUY ANT LOW.REX ITEMS FROM THIS COMPANY. SERVICE TOTALLY SUCK. THEY NEVER ANSWER THE CALL. MOST OF THE TIME PHONE SERVICE IS DOWN. AND CALL TAKERS DONT SPEAK ENGLISH. I bought an IP camera from Lorex directly. The camera failed after 5 hours of use. When I tried to get the camera replaced under warranty they refuse to honor the warranty because the camera is not plugged into their equipment but into a 3rd party POE switch. When I disputed their answer on the phone the support person hung up on me when I asked to talk to a manager.
I would never suggest or purchase anything from Lorex/Flir again!
Worst Company I have ever dealt with for warranty just installed a 16 camera system three cameras are bad they are making me jump threw hoops and still no satisfaction on getting replacements called my credit card company and they will now intervene on this case, Just Ridiculous!

The system works but I need to be able to access it through the FLIR Cloud on my home Mac. I have called and spent countless hours and it still doesn't work. The last call the tech changed my router password to password! You have to be kidding me! They make things worse than before you make the call. Now I have to dig through everything to get a secure password assigned to my router... AGAIN! And on top of it all I STILL can't access the system through my Mac. I regret ever buying this system because FLIR/Lorex is a mess to deal with. I cannot recommend buying this system solely based on the poor customer assistance in their support call center based in India.
During the summer of 2019, while I was at my summer home, Lorex forced a firmware update to all of its customers machines. What this did was break the users ability to monitor their own systems. They forced people to switch to a phone app for access. This, essentially, cut off my ability to monitor my property remotely, as well as turned off my cloud recording. They did this with less than a weeks notice. I am no longer able to use my system the way it was intended. CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IS NEEDED!
Watch out when you buy a system. The cameras and NVR are great. I purchased a 6 camera PoE 4k system with NVR. I purchased the 3 year extended warranty. You get 1 channel "free" cloud 2 days storage. If you want more, of coarse you can pay for it to the tune of $7 per channel PER MONTH. So thats $420 PER YEAR! I spent around $1000 for system and warranty and then they want $420 per year for cloud storage? Again, I am very happy with the cameras but that it stupid. They have no option for less than 30 days worth of storage either. I would pass on this system
Just don't. Don't buy these cameras or the dvrs. They don't last long, constantly dissconnecting, dvr female input jacks won't hold onto the male jack. If you try to post a negative review on their website, they'll contact you but nothing is solved, they won't post your comment, and they want you to buy other cameras.

The cameras have a good picture, but the software is terrible! I have to call all of the time to install, reinstall, etc. I have an Android phone. On my wife's phone (Apple) it is 100% better! Comes with lack of instructions. They tell you to put the DVR in a very private and secured location. I placed my system in the top of my closet, then I found out that it has to be hooked up to a monitor and a mouse to install the system. If I would have known that, I wouldn't had "hid" my DVR and would had put it next to my computer. The customer service phone, however, is answered VERY quickly... if you can understand who you are talking to! I have a hard wired system which I would never do again!

Use PAYPAL with these guys, i would have never got a refund if it wasn't for PAYPAL. Lorex is a disgrace.
When you press "add to cart" check your total, the system added $200 for no reason, called Lorex several times and emails, no answer for over a month.
After finally a month the idiot on the phone says "let me give you a case number". Today is 32 days and Paypal gave me a refund and Lorex still has no called me back
We've had nothing but problems with their camera systems. The app is terrible. Their original part number is no longer available as it was a complete system, but is similar to their part number HDIP*******AVW. We have both bullet style and dome cameras. Out of a 22-camera system, 7 have stopped working. These are not their bottom of the line cameras and NVR, these are the 4K IP cameras. I have spent more than 11 hours on the phone over the last year and nothing was resolved. 7 cameras still out. I'm searching for a replacement.
I purchased an 8 channel NVR on 11/17/2015, when i received it i hooked everything up and it ran fine, and looked great. After one week i noticed that the storage was full. How could this be? The LNR84W is advertised as having a 2TB hard drive, It turns out that the wrong HDD was installed. I was able to work with customer service, using *******@lorextechnology.com. They made things right and did an advanced replacement and sent be a bigger unit than the one that i purchased. It took a little time to get in touch with someone which i will attribute to the holidays. Overall happy with my product.

Purchase lorex 4 cameras, 4 solar panels, 3 year warranty directly from sales department. Miss information was relayed. Solar panel battery operated cameras are not reliable. The cameras have not worked since installed. Been back and forth with company all they want too do is replace cameras until warranty runs out. Lorex doesn't want to replace with hard wired cameras nor return money. {RED LIGHT-RED LIGHT PHOTO} STAY AWAY, DON'T BUY. NOT A RELIABLE COMPANY
No respect for customers! Took my whole system and tossed it in the trash. I'll accept the loss. No support. Terrible customer service, a lot of empty promises.
My video doorbell stopped working. I called tech support and I unistalled doorbell from outside and connected it via USB Cable on the wall. The doorbell lit up and started working. Reinstalled doorbell and it still didn't work. Called an electrician and he said the transformer in the doorbell burned out. Electrician installed a new transformer and the doorbell began working. Electrician left and 20 minutes later I had to call him back because my doorbell stopped working again. He found out the the Lorex doorbell had burned out the new 24 volt transformer. Called Lorex Technical Team to ask about polarity issues as recommended by the electrician. I was given the run around and the couldn't comment on polarity. Now I have an electrical bill and still no video doorbell. I am disappointed in LOREX.
Our equipment stopped working months after receiving because of an update. After multiple EXTENSIVE trouble shooting procedures with multiple people and always starting at square one) they finally decided to replace the unit. HAHA. It has been 2.5 months and nothing has arrived and no one is answering the question of where the unit is, NOR are they replying to any emails wondering where our replacement is.
Customer service personnel have always been nice but have no idea what they are doing, and the certificate number they give you means nothing… the next person has no idea what has already been done. NEVER would I get another Lorex and NEVER would I recommend getting a Lorex to anyone. Wasted our money on this garbage.

Absolutely do not buy Lorex products. They're faulty and couldn't even alert us that someone was breaking into our home! They also cannot even catch a cat that vomits in our lawn every night -- doesn't pick it up even right in front of the camera! Their tech and customer support is TERRIBLE. Unhelpful, uneducated on the products, and no deep desire to stand by the products either. Only buy these if you WANT TO GET ROBBED. They're HORRIFIC.

My DVR has failed. I contacted support via email on Dec. 3rd and got no response. I called them on the 9th and they promised to send me a shipping label so I can return my unit for exchange. On the 13th I called customer service only to be disconnected after automated system told me something 'beyond their control' prevents them from answering phone. I selected the call back option and did not hear from anyone. Today (the 14th) is a repeat of yesterday. No response and still waiting for a call back that I know will never come.
I was foolish to believe that this was a reputable company and I wish I would have spent more money on a DVR from a company that stands behind their products.

Please don't shop on price alone. Look for companies that will support their products.

I have owned this $2300 Lorex NR916 4K 8mp 16 camera system for almost 2 years and have had nothing but trouble. Lorex has replaced the NVR 3 times due to various issues leaving me with no recorder for 3 weeks each time. The night vision has always been horrible & I have spoken to Lorex at least 2 dozen times about it. The first photo is 8 feet from the camera "spot the person". The second photo is about 15 feet from the camera.
The specs and the hardware seem to be pretty good, but the support is horrible. Lorex support consists of telling you to reset to default config and reconfig. That is the absolutely worst customer support I've ever heard of. Software is not very intuitive, and support is lazy. I'm a tech geek and have installed several systems, and I work in IT so a lot of the configuration is natural for me. I spent almost 2K for stuff that works but even getting the wireless doorbell to work with the NVR is spotty at best. If you never need support I might give Lorex 3 stars but the support experience is a nightmare. No responses to email for almost a week, and when you call in you get offshored to I have no idea where. I only called to get information because there are no help files, and the documentation is lacking.

Absolutely the worst experience with a security camera system ever. Support is non-existent... unable to open files that their equipment produces even with their own software and players? Their first recommendation was for me to download a free player (VLC) from the web because it works better than their own... it did not which begs the question... HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO VIEW THE RECORDED FILES? Lorex has 1 support person helping multiple customers at the same time. That person does not have a good grasp at understanding issues and if you can wait 10 minutes between responses for the wrong answers... maybe Lorex is for you?
Omg. Listen up people. Do not consider Lorex. I have purchased 3 camera controllers in 5 years and even with extended warranties this firm will not honor their commitments

Bought a system that was delivered 2 months after order. No instruction manual. Sent the wrong, cheaper cameras. Beware of buying from this bunch of crooks.
What a pile of crap. Buy anything other than a Lorex product. Cameras drop out, passwords not recognised and trying to get help is all but impossible.
We can't get cables to put up our system locally. Tried to purchase from their site. But they want copies of our household bills before completing the purchase. Called customer service and was yelled at, demeaned, and treated very rudely. Asked the supervisor if there was someone I could talk to that wouldn't yell at me. He said, nope, he was the acting supervisor and what he said was how it was and that they didn't care if he yelled at the customer. Truly, don't buy their products unless you want a good xoensive papereight with a side of abuse.
