Almost identical experience. Started an $11,000 remodel on two bathrooms. Began in April completed in August. All counter tops ordered were incorrectly measured so we had to wait another month. The installers were competent but left a broken mirror which they blamed on us. Installers had no idea what they were to do when they came to the house. We had to tell them what to do. Very poor management of the project. We had to argue with the store several times to get the project moving and installed correctly. Many redos need to be aggressively demanded. Never again!
Lowe's online delivery dates are lies. We attempted to buy four different appliances and each time the delivery date was two weeks out. Two lhours later we received notices that the delivery was estimated 6-8 weeks later. Clearly a fraudulent attempt to get to buy and then be happy with long delivery dates. The lesson: buy from small locally owned appliance stores. You'll pay a little bit more, but will get your purchase in days not weeks or months.
Lowe's customer service is horrible. I bought hurricane impact windows in March 2021 and it took 2 years for the installation to be completed. My windows weren't all ordered, I had to follow up with the backorders, a custom window took two years to get ordered and delivered, the wrong windows were delivered twice and I had to contact Lowe's that no, these were NOT my windows with someone else's name on them! I received emails through all this that my installation was complete when I was still missing windows! I spent countless hours contacting Lowe's, receiving lip service, and doing their job of getting my project completed. I had to keep notifying them that no progress was made from August, 2021 through February, 2023. No one at the local Lowe's would return my calls and requests to speak with management at the NC installation headquarters were always met with'— is in a meeting.' I will never purchase from Lowe's again!
I go to Lowes two or three times a week and I'm not part of a construction business but I buy plants there (total warranty), I buy anything from lightbulb to grout to whatever else my husband needs.
The product and the services, both great! They deserve my business.
They lost my appliance. Lost it. Delayed delivery a week. Told me about the delay on the day it was supposed to be delivered. Not helpful in fixing the issue and were not nice either. Do not use them. They suck.
Bought a Honda mower from them. Transmission went after the regular warranty. Repairman claimed it had been stored in in a snow bank. Untrue. Wouldn't honor warranty. Don't bother with extended warranty at Lowe's it's a waste of money.
Today, Sunday 9/17/2023, I headed to Lowe's Sterling. I had a TV that I needed screws to fit the vase to the TV. I was so confused as I didn't know what size of screws I need to buy. I was helped by a great associate, Manu who was not only very smart to solve my problem in 2 minutes but also very kind, courteous and professional. He found the right screws, placed them and got a screw driver to tighten them and make sure they are fitting securely. Thank you so much Manu and all the Lowe's management. You're doing a great job.
Visited the store recently to purchase a Christmas tree. No one outside to help customers, after purchase informed they could not tie down the tree only put it one the car. After getting help from a kind associate who was working on someone looking at it, was rudely approached by needless to say a manager who did not have all his facts. He attacked me and the idea of asking for someone to look at the tree on the roof, accused me of calling and blaming Lowes for tying it correctly and then boasted that he was a manager. I asked for my money back he was so belligerent, another manager came and took the tree off my car.
I ordered paint from Lowe's which should have been a on the shelf item. There was no Lowe's a thousand miles closer to me and Lowe's send my product across the country and it was supposed to be here more than a week ago. I called Lowe's and they said as long $#*! it is in shipping, they won't do anything. Until I receive the product, I can't even cancel the order. The $426 I spend has cost me more than this order and Lowe's don't even care. I will not deal with Lowe's anymore. What is happening to these companies that can't get help, but on the other hand, these companies show that they don't even care. Good bye Lowe's, I will not be back!
