Wanting to purchase a ceiling fan. I needed assistance and waited around 30 min or longer. Ask associate at front to please page someone. She did page and still no one another 30 min. I went to the back and three people standing around and I ask could they help and the all started looking around like that's not my job. I told them never mind and left! Poor customer service
Dangerous Curbside Pickup Is A Sham
-I ordered several items for curbside pickup as I'm trying to stay away from people. I got the email notice that my order was ready for curbside pickup and I went to the Yonkers NY store at Ridge Hill.
- I got there and there was a sign to park here for curbside pickup and call this number. All 5 spots had the same sign with no phone number.
-An employee told me to go to the front entrance where there was a sign for curbside pickup
-A second employee told me I had to go inside
-A third employee pointed out a line for me to stand behind 2 other people waiting - but nobody was there
-I stood on this line inside the store for about 3 minutes and saw nothing was happening and I decided to get out of the store before I put myself in danger being around so many people (half of which didn't have masks covering their face)
-I went home and tried to cancel the order online. You can't do it on the website so I called the store and nobody answered
-I'm just going to call AMEX to get a credit. There is no sense dealing with this store. I tried to give the terrestrial store a chance but they totally failed at curbside pickup which really is not so complicated. Amazon, here I come.
Yesterday I came to Lowe's to pick up an item that was supposed to be here may 29th when I go to the long beach lowes... there's not a particular section for pickups so I hunt a employee down and asked them where are the pickups they tell me it's with the returns I go to returns and it's a long line... I don't understand why you're a pick up and returns are at the same location most companies don't do that and I don't think you should either because there were a lot of returns yesterday and also the employee that works there the young man he needs to be a little bit more knowledgeable and I

Lowes lies about delivery item... ordered two houses and got only one... they told me they delivered two... they wouldn't help me... they didn't help at all. They were just talking among themselves at the laredo local store... it was awful... incompetence... we had to call the 3rd party vendor because it was on our online order and they said they haven't even sent the house!... they said they would ship it to us... how come lowes said two were delivered. Something wrong with their inventory system or their workers are not trained to understand inventory. Its sad... please train better!
So Lowe's will only honor your military service if you sign up online. So because I wasn't they wouldn't give me my discount even though I showed my military ID. Will not shop there again Home Depot also honors military service without signing up.

Were damaged which then they replaced the 2nd ones the side were coming loose after using for only a two months
Called online thye told me i have to go through the manufacturer which i have been since jan of last year

Several issues. Purchased a washing machine for a good price (the reason they got 1 star) but the service was awful. They scheduled delivery and removal of my old machine promptly, however, when they arrived the men said they could not enter the house because of COVID-19. I understood that but was never told they would not be able to come in thus they had to take the machine back and reschedule for when they can come inside. The stay-at-home order has since been extended so will they even try to deliver it on the rescheduled date and will they still not be able to come inside? Who knows because trying to call their customer service line is a joke. No one answers and you are put on a lengthy lengthy hold (45 min) and no one ever does come on the line. I finally gave up after two tries. There is no email contact so of course you are stuck with no resolution. I will not be purchasing any appliance at Lower ever again.
I spent more than 6 hours on the phone and 2 trips to the store. Nobody "could help" but only give me a "incident #" and a promise of a higher-ups contact. 3 Times and no contact. They stole 369.46 off my gift cards (I a sure it was a system issue) and will not take care of it. The store managers says "I am sorry, you will have to contact customer service" (I have 6 times and waited on hold 30min-1:15 min each time). Customers service say "sorry there is nothing I can do about it... They will be in touch with you withing 24hours" NOPE. NEVER SHOP HERE. Look around at the other experiences on line and then find a new corporation that actually cares at all about their customers.
I am a long time customer. Horrible Customer Service. I had purchased with cash Lowe's made floor laminate. There were two boxes of floor laminate left over. I could not find the receipt and attempted to return it for a store credit about 45 days later. Store manager stated too many returns? Lowe's Return Center also would not authorize a credit. That's how they treat their customers? Very disappointed.
Ordered a ladder part, said it was in store, was not. Came home ordered on-line May 18th and it is not here, on May 25th? Funny the store is less than 200 yards away and I can see the South side of the building. They wanted to charge me $ 69.00 for shipping to my house. Wow. I'm shopping at Home Depot! Shame on you.
Lowe's now sells paint in gallon sized cans, but they contain 4 oz less than a gallon. Quart size is also smaller.
When did this start happening or has it always been that way? Was their price adjusted lower as well? I doubt it. This is very misleading, especially when you think you are comparing prices between stores. Just a note: Home Depot still sells gallon sized paint.
I ordered a brand new washer and dryer set for $1,500 online on May 15, and it was scheduled to be delivered between 8 AM and 8 PM (a whole 12 hour window) yesterday, May 23. Nobody ever arrived. I did not receive a phone call, email, nothing. I call customer service at 4:30, I sat on hold for an hour before actually speaking with someone, and the lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. She tried to reach someone at Lowe's for me since I couldn't, and they told her my order was supposed to have arrived between 12 and 3. After speaking with her for about 20 minutes, the call dropped (sometime around 6), and I never received a call back. I was told by an online customer service agent that they cannot call back if a call drops and I have to just call them back... so what is the point of them asking my phone number in case a call drops?!?! Please tell me...
After that, I tried calling my Lowe's store, no answer. Tried calling customer service, they were now closed because it took so long. Tried calling the delivery service, XPO, they closed too.
It is now the next day, May 24, it is 1:30 PM, and I still have not received my order. This afternoon I tried calling again and I sat on hold with customer service for 1 hour and 7 minutes before someone answered, and the agent said she couldn't hear me. So what did she do? She kept repeating for me to call the customer service number again, and then hung up.
I will literally never order from Lowe's ever again. This goes beyond COVID-19 throwing us all for a loop. This is just plain incompetence and terrible customer service.
I shop at Lowes Often, I get the 5 gallon jugs of water a lot and have never asked if I needed help putting it in my car. Today I bought four 10 x 6 floor decking boards, The guy that I asked for help did help but didn't seem happy about it. They never asked if I needed help putting them in my SUV I struggled for about 20 minutes and finally got them in By putting them crosswise in my car when I started driving one of them pushed up against the windshield and broke it. I am not blaming them for the break but I feel that if one of the 4 guys they were just standing around would've helped it might not happened. I will still shop at Lowe's but don't expect any customer service because I've never gotten any. By the way I'm a 72-year-old woman.
I called 7 times to find out the delivery status of an appliance I purchased, customer service used to be better than Home Depot, but now they are no different, if you could find your appliance elsewhere I would suggest you do so because this store is hopeless...
After 3 seperate occasions and no shows by the delivery company XPO and their rude representatives, I'll never buy from Lowes again. Millsboro Delaware Lowes never answers the phones, you're on hold for 45 minutes plus, the 800 I waited an hour and still never got a live person. I guess because the company has my money already I'm not a concern but when I dont pay that bill, we will see how fast they respond then. XPO delivery customer service should not be in business. The BBB and several online reviews show this is a common complaint. I'll take my money to Home Depot, they're cheaper and have better customer service.
Kudos to the delivery guys for wearing masks while dropping off item. But thumbs down to Lowes in general for not requiring that delivery personnel wear gloves... and clean and disinfect the merchandise that they install.
I've waited for over a month for a garage door. It's past delivery date by 2 weeks. Now my product is with some unknown 3rd party who keeps coming up with excuses why cannot come and charging a ridiculous amount to install! Cannot get anywhere with customer service! You'll just sit on hold for hours to get nowhere and even hung up on!
Expected a little more from the paint department. Virginia, who was trying to make me a paint sample match with the color sample I gave them, had absolutely no idea what she was doing, was just lazy and incompetent. She couldn't figure out how to make the color match, so she just started spitting out lousy explanations and excuses, like " unfortunately" it is so difficult to match a color in a sample size, and that i need to buy a bigger size, and also they don't recommend doing touch ups and, and instead, I'd need to paint the entire wall (what?), and that's because it's just so so so so hard for her (she was referencing the whole paint department) to make a correct paint sample. Does Virginia even understand the purpose and the concept of samples? I didn't know how else and in what language to explain to her that I couldn't just keep buying big sizes of paint that weren't the right color and returning them. She just stood there and argued back. I insisted that she makes another sample. But this time I had to tell her to adjust the color manually, and to add a drop of darker color to the original mix, because the sample kept coming out too light (how hard is it to figure that out?). She was unhappy that I weren't giving up and making her do this extra work, and she definitely showed it, but she still had to do it. The color came out spot on, go figure. I told her that obviously when she puts an effort in actually doing her job, it works out. LOL, she had nothing to say, and walked away. Needless to say, I am not impressed. I went to Home Depot to see how they would manage. They matched it with no problems and no attitude, so I'll be buying paint there. I will not take my business to Lowe's with that kind of nonsense.
I love the excellent customer service, friendliness, and hard work we've always received from Lori at the Naperville, IL store! Every time I go in there she is the most friendly person there and able to point me in the right direction. Most importantly I admire how well she keeps the customers at ease and things organized during the current pandemic. The way we do things has changed quickly but she's always able to adapt to the situation. She needs to be publically recognized by corporate on their Facebook and Twitter social media pages.
She's why we come back.

Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
