My husband and I recently encountered an incredibly disappointing customer service experience with Lowes, which left us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. We initially paid a consultation fee to have blinds installed in our home, and the process began smoothly enough with the measurements being taken. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when we found ourselves unable to get any further assistance.
Despite numerous attempts to reach out for help, we were met with complete radio silence. No matter how many times we called, no one answered the phone. It was incredibly frustrating to not even receive the courtesy of a response or an explanation for the lack of communication. In desperation, we even tried to contact the manager, hoping for some resolution or at least an acknowledgement of our concerns. However, our attempts were in vain as the phone continuously hung up on us without even the chance to leave a message.
Feeling increasingly at a loss, we decided to take matters into our own hands and physically go to the store to speak to someone face-to-face. We felt that surely, in person, we would be able to get the attention and assistance we so desperately needed. Unfortunately, even this proved to be a fruitless endeavor. We were met with indifference and a lack of urgency from the staff, who seemed more preoccupied with their own tasks than with addressing our concerns.
The lack of communication and unresponsiveness from Lowes has been truly disheartening. As customers who had paid for a service, we expected a certain level of professionalism and accountability. Unfortunately, our experience has left us feeling let down and questioning whether we made the right choice in selecting Lowes for our blinds installation.
In conclusion, the customer service we experienced from Lowes during our blinds installation process was nothing short of abysmal. From the initial lack of communication to the unhelpful and dismissive attitude we encountered in-store, it is clear that Lowes has failed to meet the basic expectations of customer service. We sincerely hope that our feedback serves as a wake-up call for them to improve their practices and ensure that other customers do not have to endure the same frustrating experience that we did.
Actually, we have had several bad experiences with the Lowes Atlanta Edgewood customer service. The one last night takes the cake and made me come out and post reviews. Last weekend we purchased patio furniture to be delivered. I was told they would email me my receipt and I would receive and email about delivery. After 3 days, received nothing. Called store at 2pm thinking they should not be busy. Immediately put on hold. Waited 20 minutes and then called back. Immediately put on hold, waited 25 minutes. Called back again and was on hold for 30 minutes this time. At dinner discussed with my spouse and we decided to drive all the way there to find out about our order. I decided to call while on our way. Actually, got to talk to a person. She took my info and put me on hold. We arrived 18.5 mins later. No customers were in line. Customer service rep was just standing there looking dumb. The phone was constantly bleeping. They provided terrible customer service on purpose. This isn't the only time we have had issues. We will now drive several miles further to the Home Depot. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ACTUALLY HATE THEIR CUSTOMERS AND PROVIDE TERRIBLE SERVICE ON PURPOSE!
For the past 5 or so years I have witnessed Lowes going to cheaper product lines which originally turned me off. I just always move to places were Lowes is closest to me. Because over the same amount of time I've been able to get product lines that i want from home Depot. Now and it is quite obvious that the parts that are changing for the worse are corporate decision. Case in point. For the past two times I've been able to get the deck stain that I need of the shelf. This time I look and had a hard time deciding which is what I needed? So I bought what I thought was right cause the sale person was super busy and I did not want to wait or bother him and I didn't have the time to wait that long. Well it was wrong not solid enough and a waste of my time. I went back and tried to find the right stain and the man says I need more of a solid stain and they have it on the shelf so I look and can't find it. He comes to help and points out a white base stain and I said that's not redwood. He says I can I can tint it for you. Never had to do this before. Then as I'm leaving the parking. I said to myself, it never asked for my veteran ID. So no discount either. A big screen always pops up and asks me if I'm a veteran. Why not this time. It just keeps pulling up the negatives for Lowes. I'm going to Home Depot from now on.
I am having the worst experience buying at Lowe's. I bought an above ground pool and I decided to buy it on Lowe's website to get the delivered to house. The delivery arrived only bringing the step ladder. I called Lowes the same day to complain about not receiving the pool. Lowes customer service told me to wait another day I did, and nothing came. I called back again and they told my order was missing. I had to purchased again and I chose the delivery to Lowes to not happen again, I went there I picked up myself. Now Lowes is charging me for 2 pools and the first one was never received. I complained about this charging and now I have to wait 60 days to resolve this issue. This is ridiculous. In meantime I am receiving the bills and interest just increasing. I wont buy from them anymore. Terrible customer service.
Lowe's is the worst company to buy appliances from my washing machine has been down since mother's day weekend and they have sent out 5 different tech's and everyone of them had a different opinion I have a 5 yr warranty plan so if anything happens to my machine it's supposed to get fixed and the guy told me I would have to pay 500 dollars out of my own pocket to get it fixed I will never buy from here again my washing machine is barley 2 yrs old if I'm going to pay that much I might as well go buy a new washer I think there full of crap and just trying to get more money out of us then when you call corporate they don't do anything but apologize and send you to this company called Callahan's which is worthless and the lady who answered the phone is rude as hell we had words she shouldn't be in the position she's in asking who is this not even hi thank you for calling but there going to F... You as much as they can and I guess my 5 yr warranty is worthless
Bought fence installation from Lowes in April 2023, product delivered May 4, MCLC Corp hired by Lowes to install. At my home June 14th, 16th, employees of MCLC only here 2 to 3.5 hours, barely anything done, many excuses, now today 20th, have to get more posts per installer installed wrong, go anywhere else and never hire Lowes or MCLC Corp
On Tuesday, June 13, two men delivered a new refrigerator to our home. We bought the refrigerator at Lowes Home Improvement in Frankfort, Kentucky. My husband and I didn't know it at the time, but Lowes outsources their major appliance deliveries to a logistics company called Spirit, which then contracts with other companies in the vicinity to make the actual deliveries. In the process, my engagement ring, wedding band, and my 20th anniversary band were stolen from my purse, which had been sitting on the steps inside our living room where the men were removing our refrigerator doors to be able to get it inside the kitchen. Believe me, I would never accuse anyone of this sort of thing lightly. However, the rings were zipped inside my wallet, and then zipped again inside my change purse. No one else was in our home that day, nor had I been outside the house. That's how I know they were stolen by one of these two individuals. I've filed a police report and also filed a formal complaint with Lowes. If you order from Lowes and need delivery, you have NO IDEA who's walking into your home. I believe Lowes bears some responsibility for ensuring their customers don't come to any harm during delivery of their merchandise.
If I could give this company zero stars I would. Ordering from Lowe's was an absolute nightmare. Three times we have waited for their delivery logging more than 16 hours of time frames for them to not show up, then missing one of the pedestals that we ordered and refused to still install the washer and dryer that we ordered. Then promised to show up two days later to install everything and we waited all day for them to not even show. We called and asked to speak to a manager and the manager said that they declined to take our call. We insisted, and she finally answered and was the rudest person we have ever dealt with. Again, said someone would call us within 24 hours and they never do. We ended up after all of this hassle, canceling our order and ordering somewhere else. Buyer beware do not order from this company! So much wasted time to still be out of a washer and dryer'
On Tuesday June 13,2023 visited this store to purchase an outdoor water fountain pump. Several different staff members in the store sent me rows / bens that I either could not find or didn't have what I was looking for. So I walked to the Service Desk to ask for the location of the pump. There where two ladies there AND THEY BOTH IGNORED ME! After about 5-10 minutes I turned to walk out of the door. One of the women looked up and said "Can I help you?" When I asked for the location of the pump she checked what appeared to be a cell phone and told me "You can only order that online." I asked I could look and the cell and looking at bird baths, NOT PUMPS. The she gave me directions to where there were about 7 different pumps. It's Home Depot for me from now on.
The stove was damaged bc I called after 48 hrs they said I would have to contact manufacturer. I ordered 4 appliances was not at the location when delivered. When I bought the stove I only got a receipt when paid. When the appliances were delivered they left no paperwork or anything. I was on vacation and the boxes were not opened until 5 days later. I called the deliverer which was told someone would call me back within 24 hrs. They did not. Then I was told to go back to the store where I purchased it which was 55 miles away. The manager told me I would have to call the deliverer. I was on hold for 47 mins. The person said their policy was they had to be notified within 48 hrs after delivery.I had no info stating anything and was never told by Lowes that a damaged appliance had to be
Reported within 48hrs. The tape is still on stove and the damage on the stove was so old it has rusted. I am a builder and have shopped with Lowes for many yrs purchasing many products. The service is awful and will not ne buying there any more and will pass the word around " Do not buy from Lowes.
DO NOT ORDER WINDOWS FROM LOWES! I ordered windows in August 2022. SEVEN MONTHS LATER, in March 2023, the windows came in and the installers found that the order had four windows sized incorrectly and two others were missing. The new windows have been sitting in their store since, at least, May 22,2023. Lowes Installation Services have repeatedly told me that they were in contact with a new installer, the installer would be reaching out to me within 48hrs and that Lowes would be calling me back to confirm. NONE OF THAT HAS HAPPENED. I now see that my window installation permit with the City of Cape Coral has EXPIRED. NOBODY CAN TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON. Where do I go to pick up my windows? I'll have them installed myself and Lowes can adjust my bill. Again, DO NOT USE LOWES FOR WINDOWS!
I have shopped at Lowe's extensively for years. They generally have a good selection of products. Their staff ranges from pleasant and knowledgeable to rude and clueless. Their appliance warranty service where we live is worthless. Response is agonizingly slow, and it appears that they hire the cheapest people they can find with limited knowledge. Whenever possible I buy from a local dealer who services what they sell. Well worth the small premium in price.
However, I am writing this review specifically to say that Cart the function of their website is atrocious. I was trying to order appliances for our condo in another state. Unfortunately, only Lowe's had the appliances I needed within the time frame. The website kept resetting to the Lowes near where we live to the point that it actually placed the order for that store. Every time I updated any information in the order process, e.g. billing address, it would change the delivery date. When I gave a new delivery address, the website reset the billing address to that address, and on and on. It accepted my credit card for the purchase for the wrong address, but not for the out of state purchase. One the most frustrating experiences I've had on a website in a long time. Given my assessment of the quality of experience at Lowe's in other areas, I guess it shouldn't be a surprised. No excuse for a company of this size to have a website this dysfunctional.
Store number 658 was supposed to deliver a refrigerator to our home in Delaware. The store is located at Lewes Delaware. At the time we purchased the refrigerator arrangements were made for us to be available on the 10th of June. We found we would not be available that day could they deliver it a day or so earlier and they told us just call 24 hours before. At that time we called I was on the phone almost half a day trying just to get a person and ask something about delivery dates and availability. Not successful at all, we went home to Pennsylvania since we're only in Delaware part-time. After 2 weeks we returned and after failing to contact them by phone, we drove to the store 45 minutes away and talked to lady who said no problem we will call you by this evening and let you know a window in which we can deliver it tomorrow. I waited and waited and waited that evening and no Call was received it's 9:00 pm and still no call received, so, perhaps I have to drive up there again and find out if, when, or are they going to bring a refrigerator to our house that we already paid for. While at the store I asked to speak to the manager but still have not seen him after waiting around we decided to leave go home and see if perhaps they would anoint us with their presence tomorrow. I doubt they can expect any more business from me.
I wish I had checked Sitejabber and other review sites before we tried to buy a new clothes washer and dryer set from Lowe's. This company is *totally* FUBAR!
Unfortunately, we ordered a new clothes washer and dryer set from the Lowe's in Keller, TX last Thursday.
The Friday evening before our washer/dryer were supposed to be delivered, I received a phone call from a computer telling me our items would be delivered between 4 pm and 8 pm on Saturday.
At 8:26 am Saturday morning, I got a call from the Lowe's (third party) delivery team saying they were, "on their way to our house." When they arrived, I was told that they had the dryer, but not the washer.
Side note: our old clothes washer is inoperative. Our old dryer works perfectly: we just wanted a matching set.
After wasting nearly an entire day trying to get our new clothes washer delivered, I finally gave up and told the Southlake, TX store manager to cancel my entire order. She was apathetic, and actually seemed happy to cancel our $1372 order, rather than try to fix the problem. Especially, it seemed, since she had "done everything she could possibly do."
With one phone call, she could have had our new washer delivered in less than 2 hours from a nearby store (which I identified with 3 phone calls). Instead, all she wanted to do was lecture me about computer glitches, company policy, and their "third party" delivery company. In other words, CYA! At which she is very good!
After more than five years, it might be time for the Lowe's board to consider a new CEO. Clearly, Marvin Ellison either doesn't care or isn't paying attention.
Home Depot will be delivering and installing the same brand/model/price washer and dryer set within the next few days.
I will never again step foot in a Lowe's store.
Lowe's sent my refund for an online order to my old address … so some strangers received my refund.
I placed an online order to be sent to my local store using a gift card. (I haven't placed a credit card order with Lowe's since living at my old address, so that was what they still had on file.) But for this order, neither my delivery address nor billing address was required.
When I canceled the order, they sent a new gift card for the amount of the refund to the address they had on file for me – sent via FedEx without ever bothering to verify my address. Now they say they only issue refunds to the billing address on file – which, again, had nothing to do with this order – and there's nothing they can do about it. They sent MY refund to some stranger … and they're defending the process that let this happen!
Such incompetence is astounding!
Summary: Shop elsewhere, Lowe's has sneaky rebate practices
I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in February 2023. With the purchase, I added installation since a rebate was advertised for a free basic installation. Only after completing the installation was I informed that they would not provide a rebate since I purchased the installation online with the dishwasher instead of by calling their Customer Service number.
This information was not posted anywhere on the product web page and was not referenced at any point during the check-out process. Only on the PDF rebate form (which you complete and fill out AFTER the purchase, was the requirement listed that the installation could not be purchased online).
This practice is misleading and unethical. It disappoints me that an established company would treat its customers this way. I spent several months communicating with customer service, including Tanya Rivera with Lowe's Executive Customer Relations, and never reached a resolution.
I recommend shopping anywhere else for appliances.
I was in search of fire rated attic ladder for a new construction/house. After long on-line chat with sales rep, who assured me that Lowe's had a fire rated ladder, so I bought it for $541 and picked it up 3 weeks later from a store. Paid a Carpenter $250 to install it ( 12 ft ceiling height). So, 4 months down the road, a building inspector told me that I would fail my final inspection because of the ladder, IT WAS NOT FIRE RATED! I contacted Lowe's customer service and was told that because it was passed 90 days, there is nothing they could do, no reimbursement. Lowes sales agent FALSELY advertised their product and there is nothing they can do? They just offered me 10% coupon for my next purchase. What a SHAME! Such a huge company can't take responsibility of their own wrongdoing! I'm disgusted by Lowe's customer service! What a way to treat customers!
Good and fair prices. The staff is helpful. It's nice that they took over for Sears Craftsman Tools.
I bought tools over 30 years ago from Sears and Lowe's never questions a replacement request.
Good Job!
Lowe's customer service is horrible. I bought hurricane impact windows in March 2021 and it took 2 years for the installation to be completed. My windows weren't all ordered, I had to follow up with the backorders, a custom window took two years to get ordered and delivered, the wrong windows were delivered twice and I had to contact Lowe's that no, these were NOT my windows with someone else's name on them! I received emails through all this that my installation was complete when I was still missing windows! I spent countless hours contacting Lowe's, receiving lip service, and doing their job of getting my project completed. I had to keep notifying them that no progress was made from August, 2021 through February, 2023. No one at the local Lowe's would return my calls and requests to speak with management at the NC installation headquarters were always met with'— is in a meeting.' I will never purchase from Lowe's again!
I have been a loyal Lowes customer for many years. I own numerous rental properties and have spent 10's of thousands of dollars in appliances and kitchen remodels over the years. For appliance delivery they give a 4 hour window for delivery and call you 2 hours AFTER the delivery window to tell you they are running late. You'll spend your entire day waiting for a delivery that may come or may NOT come and needs to be rescheduled! This has happen numerous times and calls to corporate fall on deaf ears! Going forward my appliance purchases will be with Home Depot or Queen City Appliance!
Answer: They aren't a s cam but their incompetency will make you pay extra for shopping with them
Answer: Same here and Lowes is no help! All they tell me is there is a delay, sorry
Answer: The price will be less but you will overpay with your time
Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
