The dress came on time and I gave them the correct measurements, but unfortunately it was a little too big. The customer service was amazing though. I got the dress for my sophomore prom and thankfully I have two more proms that will hopefully go well and I will be ordering again from this website. :)
Lulus used to be great and easy to buy from. I've literally been buying from them for 7 years now... however, my most recent experiences have been enough to make me never want to buy from there again. First of all, 90% of their items are CHEAP quality and are priced highly expensive. And it's only gotten worse over the years. Most of their casual clothing alone is priced between $50 - $90. Casual clothing! I'm talking about literally a tee shirt you can find at Target for $15. Two expensive dresses I bought from them, one was casual and one was formal; both of them ripped and fell apart on the first wear. You think you're getting good quality items based on the price, but you're not. I've seriously bought better quality clothing off of Amazon before. But, the thing that has recently turned me against them is their ridiculous return policy. First of all. Lulus sizing is constantly off. It's never been consistent for as long as I've been ordering from them. But, I am also someone who is in-between sizes. So I usually have to purchase an item in different sizes to see which one fits better. Which means that I end up returning the sizes that don't fit. However, Lulus now has a policy where if you return over a certain amount of money/certain amount of your orders within 6 months to a year, they will put your account on a "modified return policy". They are also supposed to warn you and inform you if they're going to do this to your account. They did NOT warn me, nor did they inform me that they did this to my account. I only found out that my account was placed on this policy because when I tried to return an item, it told me I could only receive store credit for it and that my account is also subject to being blocked from ordering from them anymore. When I complained about this, they told me that it should've been clear upon checkout, and that I should have seen it there. But nope! I checked out like I always have and everything was exactly as it always is. So let me see if I understand this correctly... they price all their items at unreasonably high amounts, their sizing inconsistently varies, and yet they expect you to get your size correct and expect you to like everything you order or else your account gets penalized for returning items back too much. How is this fair to people who fluctuate in sizing and are not always consistent in clothing? Do they expect all of their customers to look like the models on their website? Do they expect people to like how every single thing looks on them? Maybe if the items were actually worth their prices, people wouldn't have to return so much. I mean really... who wants to pay hundreds of dollars for clothing that's not even gonna last long? It's just very unfair. This is an ONLINE clothing store. It's not like customers can just come in and try on clothes to see if they fit. I have never experienced a store (online or an in-person) that has a policy like that. People should be able to purchase and return as much as they want without getting penalized. They clearly implemented this policy because they just care about how much money they're losing from returns. Oh and one more thing. They recently started charging restocking fees on every return. Most retail stores only charge restocking fees if you return an item that's damaged or has visibly been worn. Well now at Lulus, even if the tags are intact and it hasn't been worn or even opened, they will still charge you a restocking fee. And yes, I confirmed that with a customer service rep. She said it's a new fee that they are charging on any returns. Like really... Anything else y'all want to do to prevent customers from getting their money back? I will no longer be purchasing from here. I can't continue to buy from a place that doesn't value their customers. No customer should ever be penalized for needing to return items that don't fit them or that they don't like. I have loved Lulus for a very long time but, they have completely lost my loyalty. Time for me to find a new and better place to shop. I hope this helps to warn other customers.
These people do not care about their customers. I wanted to return something but couldn't because it was on clearance and they were being so rude.

UPDATED REVIEW: Spoke with a manager on the phone and will let me return garment and get a refund. Yay! Thanks Lulu's, I really appreciate the resolution (although I would have preferred not to pay shipping, at least they will refund my money). I was browsing on their site last week for an upcoming event and am happy to go back and purchase knowing they will correct their wrongs!
OLD REVIEW: I have shopped at Lulu's several times - I love their dresses, the price point is good and the shipping is pretty fast. Safe to say, I would've been a customer for life.
UNTIL NOW. I wore a jumpsuit ONE TIME and hand washed it per the instructions on the garment -- the white became totally stained from the black pants. They won't replace per their policies as stated:
"We do not replace damaged or defective merchandise that was:
-damaged by abuse or negligence (exposure to chemicals, caustic substances, open flame, high heat, sharp objects, etc.)
-damaged by misuse, general wear, or activities other than the intended purpose
Please note the life expectancy of any product depends on the individual using the product, the conditions of use, and the characteristic wear patterns of the user. Products damaged by normal wear and tear or that have exceeded the reasonable life of the product are not replaced."
Yea, those are totally legit policies in regards to refunds and replacements, however...
MY SITUATION IS NOT DESCRIBED BY ANY OF THE ABOVE. Clearly they don't believe in customer retention or backing their products -- instead they hide behind this policy even when the situation isn't the customer's fault and simply followed what their recommendations were.
Shame on you, Lulu's.

Ordered a drsss on the 15th and delivery date was given between the 20th to the 24th and I was concerned that the tracking information kept saying shipping label created waiting for package on the end of the day on the 19th so I contact lulus to live chat the representative Louise kept saying I am sorry and the package was sent today to post office and package will still take 8 to 10 more day to delivered so it wouldnt be here by the 24th when I have a wedding on the 27th and It wont be here in time
Horrible experience Lulus never replace the missing package that never was delivered I paid for clothes that I never received very disappointing

I would say I am between a 4 and a 5. I have shopped a lot at Lulu's online, so I have quite a few different experiences. My review is for those wary to try on of these side Facebook advertising online only clothing stores. I have tried a few online only clothing stores, and I think we all know most of the time what you receive in the mail is low quality, thin pieces with falsely advertised colors and patterns, which you wear 1-2 times and ditch later.
My thoughts on Lulu's:
-The styles are pretty chic and original / or chic and in fashion, and I always get lots of compliments. I MEAN a LOT of compliments.
-I have quite a few dresses dating back 3-4 years and they have held up well against time.
-I buy Lulu's for the styles they offer - the fabric is good but not great aka the fabric could def be of higher quality. In some ways it is on par or slightly better than what you get from Macy's, but way above Kohls, but def a tad below Express and American Eagle and perhaps even Modcloth. Then again I think generally speaking Lulus is cheaper than Express, and perhaps still even slightly cheaper than the ultimate Express coupon-er. AE items also tend to shrink over time - Lulus doesn't.
-Lulu's is expensive but its a steal when you find dresses on sale, and they do ship you a coupon after every purchase. Maxi's are always a bit more expensive in the 80-120 range for normal nice maxi's for going out or shopping in style, 40-80 for daily maxi wear, and 100-200+ sometimes for formal wear. But these dresses I don't wear 1-2 and forget about them in the back of the closet, I have worn them over and over again.
-They are true to size - I am 5'2'' and change and between 115-120 lbs depending on the time of year and an extra small fits me well. I have had to get some dresses tailored (but only if I really like the style and its worth the $ in the end). If you are in the 100-110 range expect to have things fit loose in some areas or get it tailored. Again, sometimes with these dresses I have found its def worth it. All in all, I like Lulu's because they offer a lot of styles for smaller / shorter women (A line, etc), that compliment our figure rather than fit poorly - aka hits below our waist instead of our waist and makes us look way thicker than we actually are.
-I have tall friends that also have found a lot of styles that compliment them well.
-They do arrive with a return label in the bag.
-Standard handling and shipping is within 5-10 days I have found. A bit on the long side, esp considering how much you spend sometimes to get free shipping.
-I only have had experience with the jewelry (which is cute - a cheaper version of Francesca's but I have had a piece for a year now and it has not tarnished) and shirts and dresses.
All in all, I would say give Lulu's a try.
I purchased a long bubble sleeved shirt on final clearance recently, I believe for $7? Anyways, if something comes from a warehouse that doesn't smell absolutely terrible, I don't wash it and just wear it out as is and that's what I did. Well, I don't know what the manufacturer did after completing the shirt, but they absolutely did NOT rinse the dye out bc throughout the day, the dye in the shirt stained absolutely everything that it touched a dark grey/purple. I chalked it up to being my own fault bc you're normally supposed to wash clothes before you wear them. Well, I go home to rinse out the color in my sink before I wash with my dark colors load and I spend the next 30 minutes kneading the shirt under warm running water and the dye just keeps on purging and purging and purging from the shirt? Eventually, even though I didn't see a lighter difference in the colored water that kept on POURING from the article of clothing, I decided to throw it in the wash anyways. It stained absolutely everything that went into that wash. My dark reds are now an even darker red, and my grey shirts are even darker? Shrugged my shoulders and moved on, hey, it added some life into my older shirts, whatever.
Found out that the shirt I ordered also wasn't preshrunk so it's a decent size smaller now, as well. Whatever, I ordered a large fitting size so now it fits differently but it doesn't look bad.
HOWEVER. THE REASON WHY IM WRITING THIS ONE STAR REVIEW TODAY. IS THAT EVEN AFTER MY 30 MINUTE PREEMPTIVE RINSE AND A WASH IN MY WASHER ON HEAVY LOAD WITH THE MOST AMOUNT OF WATER AND SOAP? AFTER ALL OF THAT. ITS. STILL. STAINING. MY. THINGS.
Final sale means no returns, I can't comment on the shirt on the website itself bc it's no longer offered, plus, it's only $7. So I'm keeping it. I just can't wear it bc it stains my skin and my bras while I'm wearing it.
