Customer service is the worst. I should have read the other reviews. Lycamobile can go verify this: on 5/5/2023 I used the live chat feature on their US website (my phone number is 626782**** go verify it in your log), and I wanted to ask something about my SIM card. The agent (Eyena) required me to pass a verification. That's normal. Then she asked for the 2 numbers I had called the most in the last 6 months. What? Why not the numbers I called today or something that is both identifiable and easy to give? Who expects to keep track of who I call the most? My mom, my bank, my lover? I gave some guesses but the agent denied them and then insultingly said they couldn't verify me anymore since my guesses were wrong, and when I asked for other ways to verify she refused. I have had experience with bad customer service, but never this dehumanizing. Literally they could just ask me what numbers I have called today or in the past 3 days. But they have to come up with this nonsensical test that an actual number holder STARING at the call log can not pass. I was very disappointed. EDIT: Upon the posting of this review, Lycamobile contacted me, went through the mistake, and gave me the info. So I have updated this review and increased the score to reflect my personal experience. It is not good that this happened, but it is good to know they can sometimes rectify their mistake.
Illegally charged me, cannot cancel the charges, have to cancel the credit card. They apply practices of digital thieves.
Trying to port in my number to another provider. Disgusting customer care service. Rep-Eli, manager-Pauline should be fired pronto.
I used to be happy with their service until something went wrong. The company made an authorized charge on my credit card. I was unaware of it until I got a late fee. I disputed the charge because it was unauthorized, but also I was still paid six months in advance. Lycamobile blocked my account. I couldn't' sign in and they refused to provide me with my own account #. They insist I get a letter from my bank saying the bank reversed the dispute and will charge me a fee, but they bank can't close it until Lycamobile responds, but Lycamobile refuses. Even with the dispute, I was still paid in advance. Had to find another provide and file a complaint with the FCC, ICC, BBB, Atorny State General and the ecomerce.gov site for problems with a foreign business. P.S. I had trouble sending photos and responding to group texts for almost a year. They said it wasn't their issue. But when I got a different service, the problem went away. It's almost possible to speak to a live person and no one is going to help you. Again, it's a cheap and effective service, but if something goes wrong, it's going to be a nightmare.
It all started when I needed to disconnect my card and link another one (Nickel Bank). I could not connect it, so I decided to use the top-up option from PayPal. The option was there, but it was impossible to top up. Somehow I managed to do it. I chose my own tariff to connect it again using the recharged balance. But it didn't work. I wrote to techsupport. After about 10 letters of correspondence I am told a short code, but not that one! I enter it, not expecting something wrong. A completely different data packet is activated! The nickel bank is charged for the day! However, it could not be activated before! How could this be?
I wrote back what was the right code - they didn't answer anything clearly. As a result, I was with this activated tariff for a month, just to connect my own at the end of it. I have already been sent a code in technical support. I entered a code on his phone *139********# and I was informed that this code can not be activated, come to the site and choose there!
That is, I have money on my balance, but I can't spend it in any way! I have never met an operator that completely fails to work properly with its customers. Not only do support operators not give you anything (they are not taught), but their own instructions don't work either!
As a result I was charged 51 euros for using the mobile Internet, even though I didn't even know it was working! I was pretty sure that nothing would work until I connected to the new plan. To say that I was angry - nothing to say. Just terrible service!
As a result I lost money, time, nerves and was left without communication. Conclusions do yourself
You can not talk to anybody without getting hung up on.
I am not sure how the government allowing them to do business in this country.
I have experienced the worst customer service with any company.Totally unprofessional and are taking customer for a ride
A month ago, I bought a plan for $45. When my SIM card arrived, I tried to activate it and found that it had already been activated by someone. The attempt to activate my plan also failed, as I received a message that my account is out of money and I need to buy a plan. What? Another plan?
I wrote emails to the support team several times. At first, they were kind and gave me standard activation tips. But when I wrote that all their advice didn't work, because the problem was in the SIM card that they sent me, and when I asked to solve the problem, they stopped answering me.
I got angry and asked for my money back. They refused.!Amazing company!
SO, I PAID $45 FOR THE PLAN AND GOT $0.0 IN MY ACCOUNT AND THE MESSAGE "ACCOUNT IS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED. YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FUNDS TO CONTINUE SERVICE. PLEASE BUY PLAN……".
You may be lucky and get a new SIM card that you can easily activate. But you may not be lucky with a SIM card or for another reason, and they will ignore you completely.
MY ADVICE IS STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE MONEY
4 times transactions with 4 cards, 4 browsers wont go through, this is not one time, it's $#*!ed! It doesn't worth the time and effort.

I rarely pen such harsh reviews, but the experience I have had with Lyca Customer Care over the past week leaves me no choice. It has been nothing short of abysmal.
I have been in a constant struggle to receive an activation code for my service plan, a process that should be fairly straightforward and instantaneous. To my disbelief, after seven long days and multiple calls to customer service daily, the issue remains unresolved.
Their customer service team appears to have mastered the art of lip service, assuring me repeatedly to 'wait another 24 hours' for a solution. Even escalating the issue to a supervisor brought no respite, only the same tired refrain. Such repetitive non-resolutions have left me disillusioned and exasperated with their supposed 'service'.
Moreover, their consistent failure to provide a solution has placed me in an awkward position, as I've had to rely on my neighbors' phones to contact Lyca's Customer Care. This regrettable situation has not only tarnished my reputation but has also made me question the credibility of Lyca as a service provider.
The customer service team at Lyca seems to lack the basic understanding that prompt and efficient service is not a luxury but a fundamental expectation of their customers. Their indifferent attitude towards the very customers they are supposed to serve is concerning and begs the question of what the term 'customer care' truly means to them.
Based on my experience, I'm forced to give Lyca Customer Care a rating of 1 out of 5 stars. My recommendation for anyone considering Lyca is to proceed with caution, if at all. The frustration and inconvenience I've endured make it hard for me to envision a scenario where I could recommend Lyca to anyone in good conscience.
In the end, good customer service isn't just about resolving issues, but also about respecting the customer's time and dignity. Unfortunately, Lyca seems to be failing on all these counts. It's a bitter pill to swallow, given my initial optimism about their service. I can only hope that my experience serves as a wake-up call for Lyca to improve their customer service drastically.
Don't start, scammers We paid €40.50 on May 13 for a bundle that we did not receive. After many calls, we were promised that the money would be refunded within 24 hours. After 2 days I called again and was told by a very unfriendly gentleman that I had to be patient, it could take 22 days before I would get the money back. The 22 days are now over and I call again. Now I am told that I have to re-apply because the account number is incorrect. Lyca also activated the bundle after 2 weeks, while the agreement was that the €40.50 would be refunded. We had bought another bundle pending the promised payment. Now almost 2 months and many minutes and emails further and still no refund. What a bunch of scammers! Update: Lyca responds and will treat my complaint with highest priority? This should have been arranged immediately after sending proof of payment. Will we now get our money back or will Lyca fail again? Or are the ladies here who call customer service again rudely spoken to by a man who doesn't speak Dutch? M curious. Update 13-7, now a week later: Still no refund! What's hard? Proof of payment sent several times, several times promise that lyca will pay because we have not received the paid bundle and have not received a single cent back. Real scammers, don't get involved. Update 14-7 Lyca does not want to fulfill the repayment of €40.50 that has been promised for 2 months. Because we are still using the bundle (which was not connected in the first place). Of course we use it, we have been kept on a leash for 2 months! My advice: take sim only from another provider and do not work with Lyca. If there is a problem you will have to deal with a very unfriendly customer service that says everything but does nothing
They are promising 50% discount in their site but they charging a full price. They are cheating customers.

Where is the 0 star rating, worst company in the world,if you dont want use they service, you could not get my account number and pin number,SCARM company,Beward!
Lycamobile is hands down the worst mobile network operator I have ever encountered. At this point I just feel like I was scammed as I ordered a SIM card with a National M bundle which has been uselessly sitting in my phone for a week now, still waiting activation. It seems I am unable to activate it myself due to some error so I contacted customer service on August 2, I got a process number and was told to wait until it was activated by the tech operators. Well, one week later the situation is still the same and getting some straight answers is impossible. Their costumer service is nothing but a big joke, the "assistants" are just trained to stall: greet you, ask how they could help, say they'll work on solving your problem and wave goodbye. Apart from these, they can't provide any answers or explanations, they're almost like very rudimentary chatbots. So yeah, I paid for a useless piece of plastic and sat with it in my phone for a week like an idiot, lost precious hours of my life trying to solve this issue until I figured out it's probably time to give up and purchase proper communications services elsewhere. If you are thinking about sparing a couple of bucks by purchasing their cheaper services, I'm telling you: you are not prepared to deal with that amount of incompetence, amateurism and disregard you'll be facing from the time you'll place your order and wait for it forever to arrive (you won't be able to track it) up until you'll open it and try to wrap your head around the tangled and very user-unfriendly steps you have to take to make it work. If there's any problem in the process you can just forget about anyone caring.
For many years in a row, I was a Lyca customer and in the last year, they are not capable to sort out any kind of issue. They charged me twice, and after all my dozens of emails sent to *******@lycamobile, it is still not sorted, because they have unprepared staff. You ever heard they can access your details but they cannot access data from your SIM, this is totally crap, the biggest nonsense ever heard, is their SIM, their system how can you have a technical department and not be able to sort out technical issues. I keep getting passed from one side to another. Their website is useless too, nothing works and the staff is useless too. Customer services are the most useless ever in this company. Save yourself a lot of hassle and avoid them at all times even if their offers look attractive, the more attractive their offers look the worse it is. Their coverage is the worse ever, data is absolutely slow too. Go to other providers like Three, O2, Vodafone, even Tesco Mobile is better than Lycamobile. Lycamobile is the worst you can relate to ever. The lowest and good for nothing company. They have blocked my number after they have overcharged me for no reason. They cannot reactivate because they are unprepared. My dad spent £20-£25 every month, and last month he tops up as usual and he is not able to use the services and he lost money because of them. And they say there is nothing they can do. They cannot refund the money, they say there is nothing to do. For over a month I cannot solve my SIM or my dad. Avoid this company. For real! It is useless, with lots of headaches and no results. I went to Three, for better service, instead of £25 pounds I pay £10 for the same service, so far no problem with this provider.
They are really rude. No polite at all. If you ask questions they get mad at you. Really frustrated with their talking over the phone.

I joined Lycambobile, sim only deal, over a week ago. I received the sim and new number and text several family/friends my new number. However, this new number had been previously used and was blocked on WhatsApp, attached to it, a photo of what appeared to be a stock image of an Asian girl. I therefore ported my old number across to Lycamobile, hasslefree! HERE'S WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU – because I had text several people, they deemed this as extravagant and blocked my number immediately. I spoke to customer service and explained that later that day I would need to speak with my son to find out which train he was getting back from school. Customer service told me it would be resolved in 1 hour, but that I would need to send a copy of my passport to verify (desperate, I very stupidly did this). Six hours later, and my phone still blocked, I spoke to another 25+ agents/bots online, all of which frustratingly terminated the conversation before getting anywhere. I called again from my work Teams number, by now very distressed that I can't contact my son. The customer services agent told me there was nothing he could do and that it would take 24-48 hours and that I should seek help by using a stranger's phone!
1 week later… my phone is still blocked! I have called customer service again today, for a PAC code to transfer my number to elsewhere, as I need a provider that I can actually use. They refused to give me this over the phone, stating I need to send a text. I can't! My phone is blocked! They advised I send an email, that will take 24-48 hours. Erm… if the last 24-48 hour saga is anything to go off I could be waiting forever. Meanwhile unable to contact my ill father or my child. I have had to seek help from the Police. I have read other comments and reviews, saying they have been unable to get a PAC code. Where to go from here?
Please don't go with Lyca. Very bad customer service and people can hack your SIM very easily. Bad bad
Today I spoke to customer service lyca person name MR JOHN, ID *******. Help me to transfer my old sim number to new lyca sim, HAPPY person and nice talk and solve my problem,
