As a seller, I was completely satisfied with MaxSold. They were efficient with their communication with me, arrived on time to photograph the items I was putting my home on the market and needed to clear all the contents. The online auction occurred on the dates we agreed and Pick Up was arranged and was efficiently conducted. Staff was courteous and experienced. Accounting was provided quickly and to my satisfaction. I would recommend MaxSold wholeheartedly. Thank you for a job well done.

First time seller and multiple technical issues such as: - Date I picked for pickup was not the date given to purchasers - Reports online differed from reports received (kept telling me one lot wasn't paid for online) - No instructions on what to do if lot isn't picked up - App DOES NOT link to a sale you've started - Uploading photos was a challenge Reported to Maxsold and basically told to bad. They only addressed the first issue and said a confirmation email had the same date as the purchasers despite their online system showing the data I had chosen.

I placed 6 items to be auctioned. 4 were sold, one was not picked up. And a table, the bidder came over and was just wasting my time that the item was not new!. I think that the MaxSold software should have offered these 2 items to the next bidder in line. I tried to write an "Unhappy" review when prompted for a review, but they appear to only accept the "Happy" type reviews. I also complained to the service rep., I was promised that they will offer the items to the next bidder manually, but they never delivered on their promise.
I think that the concept is good but the software is too simplistic

What a bunch of frauds. I purchased a dozen lots totaling over 2 grand at a recent auction in Virginia. I accidentally noticed that one of my lots had disappeared from the staging area. They had taken it and threw it on the garbage truck. I made them search the truck and get it back. Then after they left, another lot was missing. I tried to get a refund for a stinking 21 dollars and they refused. They lost my lot. Their incompetent staff threw it away with the things that did not sell. These people need to be watched every second. Find some company with decent customer service and some competency if you need to sell your products.

I have now purchased items at 3 separate auctions. I have found it a fun experience.
The MaxSold staff are terrific. They are very well organized, friendly and know the merchandise they are dealing with. I would not hesitate to tell my friends and family to give it a try.

I have now shopped through MaxSold a couple of times in a couple of different cities here in Colorado. I have been really impressed with the quality of the items and happy with my purchase. But what set MaxSold above the crowd is there customer service. No matter how many people are at a sale, picking up their items, the employees are friendly and extremely helpful. I have also been impressed with the measures that these folks take in caring for the property where the sale is taking place. It's a balance to satisfy both the end customers and the client. In a world where customer service is quickly disappearing, I have been so pleased with the service from what is ostensibly an online service.

I love this auction site so much, I have purchased so much from them and it is so easy to get just the things I want rather than going to garage sales or buying on line. I cannot say enough about what fun I have had since finding this site.

Hi have purchased two separate times with maxsold and both times I was given excellent service. Items that I purchased were exactly as described. The prices I paid for my items were amazing. The staff were extremely friendly. I would highly recommend buy from them.

I have been buying from Max Sold for a little over a year and am very satisfied with the quality of the auctions, The crew in my area are friendly and quite helpful. The quality of the items for sale is top notch and those items that are smalls are usually bundled in order to cut down on left over sale items. Keep up the great work.

This was my third time using MaxSold and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Not only did I get a great deal on the watch that I wanted, but I scored a couple other awesome items at the last minute.

The process is super easy and their staff seem super friendly. I will definitely be using MaxSold again very soon!

I'm always amused by 1-star reviews, so I always read those first, regardless of the business being appraised. With Maxsold, it is invariably comments about items not reaching some pie-in-the-sky valuation that the seller seems sure they would've received if only they had used some other medium to dispose of their grandmother's belongings. I've never sold anything with Maxsold, but their terms and conditions seem straight-forward. I suppose if you don't read the contract, or have comprehension difficulties, you could become confused.

As a buyer, I enjoy the experience of Maxsold. Being able to browse what is essentially a series of large garage sales from the comfort of my recliner, and not needing to be an early-birder to find items of interest, is very convenient. My biggest problem is controlling the impulse to buy more items than I actually need -- how can I turn down a selection of power tools for only $5?

They block your account after winning sucefull auctions for no reason? Spent over $1000 going to these auctions buying items. Went to Loog into my account says I breached security violations, no way is that true? Company is horrible customer service. Miss managed staff that just sit at the auction will not help you lift anything

Unless we’ve made an error in suspending their account, which is possible but unlikely, their review suggests they didn’t fully appreciate how we work operate prior to bidding with us (i. E. they seem unhappy we didn’t help lift items - but we outline this specifically - see REMOVAL/PICKUP section in our terms and conditions (www.maxsold.com/terms).

Additionally, we would hope that it’s a breath of fresh air for all customers to know that, regardless of how much money you spend with MaxSold, no customer is allowed to operate outside the process and policies we have all agreed to prior to bidding.

If this customer thinks we’ve made an error in suspending their account, they are invited (along with all customers who receive an account suspension notification), to complete a reinstatement request form for us to review. That said, account suspension (~1% of the bidding population) is typically the result of breaching the agreed to terms and conditions in the form of non-payment of goods, non-removal of purchases, and/or abusive/dangerous/threatening behaviour (and therefore a risk to the MaxSold community as a whole).

I have bid and won more than a few lots at online auctions through Maxsold. They offer complete descriptions, good pictures, large lots of items that are grouped together as well. They keep you up to date on how your bids are doing and when the auctions will end for last minute chances.

Pick ups are planned and executed professionally and friendly with never a glitch so far.

My husband hates Maxsold cuz he has to bring everything I will in the house, lol.

Go ahead give it a shot... Soon you too will only want to go with Maxsold.

I tried to show some pics from my latest haul but unfortunately it wouldn't allow them.

I got into the process late - did my own photography and descriptions - and still managed to sell 96% of items in less than one week. The interface is a little tricky to learn, but once you get a feel for it, things move quickly. MaxSold provides helpful support throughout the entire process as well. Best of all, the buyers come and pick up items - no need to move anything (except to help). My advice: Give yourself ample time, as presumably the longer your stuff is visible online, the higher the bidding could go; organize items into lots that make sense; use a proper DLSR camera, not your phone; and write accurate descriptions, not flowery overstatements. Anyway, it worked for me, the first-timer. I recommend MaxSold thoroughly.

I buy alot when I'm out of town on business so I rely on friends and family to pick items up once in a while. One auction sold me a lot of "silver" dollars, a real auction house would stipulate "nickel" dollars.

Another time, my buddy went to pick up an antique secretary hutch... your given a very strict 5-10min window to pick up your stuff. When my friend showed up there was a 3 hour lineup because it was a gated community and technically illegal to do what they were doing. Not too mention there was nothing antique about the piece. The nickel plated Robertson screws gave that away.

Total dog and pony show!

My 1st auction with MaxSold... Bid on 2 Mens' Bows, description was "Mens Bows C". In GatorCase. I wish MaxSold did a better job of asking seller for descriptions and providing more detail. Wound up paying 220$ for ~100 worth of 15-20 yr old CRAP. One Bow is unusable. Yes. My mistake for overbidding, but one would 'assume' MaxSold did their due diligence in making sure descriptions identified products to protect buyers, but in this case, protected the sellers.
The pick up site was a home, OMG, Nasty Nasty Nasty. Not sure I'll bid again on auctions here. But would ask MaxSold to do a better job of the descriptions so we know what we're bidding on. Site Lead? Unavailable to talk to... I just left w/the CRAP I won and with my lesson learned. G in Houston, Tx.

I have been buying from MaxSold for over 2 years now and have nothing bad to say about the company. The listings are always top notch and I am able to view the auction items clearly. Upon arriving for a pickup the team is friendly and greet you with a smile. I have not waited in line for any length of time and have been escorted into the home by a staff member each and everytime. My items are as described and if there is a discrepancy it is handled on the spot. I would recommend MaxSold to anyone looking for a great bargain. MaxSold has delivered on point everytime that I have purchased from them, and that is alot.

I have purchased so many items through MaxSold. Only once was I disappointed and this was a Seller Managed auction. The item was described as new but was so old and rusty I got rid of it at a recycling place. When I spoke with a MaxSold representative I was offered my money back but I declined. Apart from this one purchase, everything I or my daughter-in-law has purchased has been as good as the description said, and at reasonable prices. I recommend MaxSold unconditionally. My only problem is the more people I tell about this auction website, the more competition I have! Every day I go on the website and browse through the interesting items. I must add I have found the MaxSold employees have gone out of their way to assist me when I picked up my purchases.

We were downsizing and had lots to sell. If my wife and I were left to do the MaxSold job by ourselves we would have canceled our move. But watching the MaxSold personnel execute was a pleasure. As experts usually show us, professionals make hard jobs look easy and simple and MaxSold is professional. I would recommend MaxSold to my family without hesitation

Absolutely love not only buying things on Maxsold, but just browsing the auctions is fun, too! So much history and character connected to the majority of stuff that's sold on here.

This is the best site you can find if you're looking to repurpose or reimagine antiques. I've turned old unrelated things into conversation piece furniture that has class, charm and old world character. Can't say it enough how awesome this site is.

Major problems with their application. I did my job and spent two weeks cataloging items for sale. But their app has big glitches and they are not stepping up to help. They know my deadline is tight yet they have wasted five days not addressing my issues. In addition, I have found the over caliber of their support staff to be quite average at best. IMHO they do not appear to be problem solvers. They just let you flail in the wind as time evaporates. Im actually quite disappointed in their perfromance addressing a serious technical issue.

I've bought lot of things through Maxsold auctions over the last few years. Generally I feel like I got a great deal... it all depends on who else is bidding that night, sometimes you are really lucky, sometimes not so much, but generally you aren't overpaying. The app is straight forward and bidding is easy. Adding an option to receive a text reminder would be good for items you are following, I've missed items I wanted to buy because I just forgot. Overall it's great to have an option like this, in an area that has very few antique shops anymore.

I found MaxSold while searching for estate auctions in the MetroDC area... not only do they have many local auctions, the online bidding makes it easy to participate without having to hop around to several places biddin gun on items.

The only time I need to travel is when I win!

Makes it easy to find deals and coordinate pick ups without leaving the house!

They raised my items over 3000$. It was so obvious when they started doing it to me. They would bid right up to my bid and stop at a tie. But i would win cause i was at the number 1st. Nobody bids to tie someone. Humans bid to win. U only tie someone to make them raise the price. I have video, screen shoots, and a bunch of auction results where it is very apparent they are running the price up on everyone

Tip for consumers:
wait till last minute to bid so they dont have as much time to run the price up on u

Products used:
i bid on 90 items i was shill bid on atleast 30 of the items.

It's disappointing that this customer had an unsatisfactory experience - should they decide to provide more details on who they are / which auction was they were bidding on we would be happy to provide the detailed breakdown of the bidders in a shareable format.

Maxsold sells items from the Seller’s home as part of a downsize or estate sale while allowing family to keep the items they hold most dear and having Maxsold sell the remainder through a transparent online auction where the highest bidder wins with no influence by the Seller or Maxsold. For proof, you need only look what’s left after an auction is over - sold items are removed and the seller is left with an empty home.

We take our rule about unreserved to the highest bidder extremely seriously and are able to share anonymous bid information with bidders (or sellers) that have concerns about bids. All they need do is email support with the auction and lot(s) they would more bid/bidder transparency on and we will be happy to provide it.

What does happen is that most bidders wait until the last few minutes to place their bids which creates a bit of a frenzy for those not using the Maxbid feature.

Friends recommended Max Sold. We looked at the website and then signed up for a managed auction. The crew that came out to photograph and set up the lots were absolutely great. The online review of the lots went smoothly. We only had a few editorial changes to suggest. We were able to monitor the auction throughout the period. On the day of pickup the two individuals from Max Sold did a great job or verifying the buyers and pointing out to them where the lots were. Great way to downsize.

Cancelled my account over $1 They have my credit card but did not bill it. Plus the last auction I won, they gave me the wrong address and there was no customer service to help. I do not like the way they do business and do not trust them.
