As a seller, I was completely satisfied with MaxSold. They were efficient with their communication with me, arrived on time to photograph the items I was putting my home on the market and needed to clear all the contents. The online auction occurred on the dates we agreed and Pick Up was arranged and was efficiently conducted. Staff was courteous and experienced. Accounting was provided quickly and to my satisfaction. I would recommend MaxSold wholeheartedly. Thank you for a job well done.
First time seller and multiple technical issues such as: - Date I picked for pickup was not the date given to purchasers - Reports online differed from reports received (kept telling me one lot wasn't paid for online) - No instructions on what to do if lot isn't picked up - App DOES NOT link to a sale you've started - Uploading photos was a challenge Reported to Maxsold and basically told to bad. They only addressed the first issue and said a confirmation email had the same date as the purchasers despite their online system showing the data I had chosen.
My husband and I have bought many items at MaxSold auctions and find that the process of purchasing and picking up just gets better every time. The local staff are kind and professional and everything is as advertised. We recently ran our first auction through them and the process went super smooth. We really enjoyed the pickup day when everyone came to get their stuff - the people were so happy and we had a great day, plus we made lots of money too!
Finding your way after retirement is as murky as starting a new job, because it is one. Finding Maxsold has been an eye opener into an entire new world. Its not just "looking" at what is up for bid, but its the job of researching from the info given, using various websites and people. The "new" knowledge acquired in mechanics, pottery, painters, clocks, wood, vintage vs antiques etc... is invigorating and challenging. Broadened my mind in new directions.
MaxSold was overall a great experience in selling our items, but missed 5 stars because... some of the photos they took were terrible, some items were left off altogether, and MaxSold employees spent $1 to get what they wanted when we could have resold it ourselves.

2/4/2022 6:15 PM, I sent second message hoping they will do what they promised, "attempt to make it right in your eyes." I think is obvious to every conscious mind, is just another LIE. Maxsold, needs everything from you but you/ I can't get a simple explanation from them. Every normal company puts customers first, except this one. I will keep exposing this strange company so let's see who will get tired.
I've been a loyal MaxSold customer since 2013 when they first came to the Massachusetts area. I've bought furniture, homegoods, antiques and collectibles for myself, for gifts, and to resell. I like buying items in lots so I can keep (1) item and then maybe sell or gift the rest. Sometimes the items are just useful cleaning supplies, or paper goods - anything you can think of! The auctions are always well organized and staffed with friendly people.
First became acquainted with MaxSold in April 2019 (my first experience with an estate auction sale). It was conducted very professionally. I was fortunate to be able to purchase a complete 100 volume leather-bound book collection at the April sale.The website is so user friendly. Bidding on items of interest is fun - & winning even more so. My wife & I are now regular shoppers at estate auctions as our favorite hobby. Would recommend MaxSold to everyone.
Who else can visit your home two times, organize your things for an online auction in one day and return within a week (or 2 depending on auction length); empty the house; earn you a little money? MAXSOLD can! Its incredible!
I Just wanted to say what a pleasure it was dealing with MaxSold. From the first phone call to Bruce to the leadership and auction process with Adam for helping me throw together 2 auctions in such a short time. Also want to give a big shout out to the, on the ground crew of Tony, Julie, Keith, and Kat. Awesome crew and so friendly and helpful. Pleasure working with everyone. Just an incredible experience overall. Sure made the closing of my long time business pain-free and seamless. I've been purchasing items from auctions since I first found the MaxSold site. I love that you can view and bid on items sitting at home as compared to driving all over and dealing with tons of people at an auction. I've gotten some amazing deals on just about anything you can think of. The bidding process is so simple. I have had very good experiences every time I've picked up my items. The team is there to greet you and direct you to your items, which are typically nicely stacked in an area, easy access. The team has always been very professional, polite and friendly. There is absolutely nothing that I dislike about this company!
Just finished my third auction with Maxsold and have to say the staff there are awesome. They get things done quickly and have been accommodating to my deadlines. I am a Professional Organizer and use Maxsold as a platform for my clients to sell their goods. I always manage expectations by saying some items will make a lot and some will not but it is an average of the items together. The main thing is that everything leaves your home in those 4 hrs and you don't have to pay movers or post things for sale online, etc..
An Item I was considering had a separate picture of a matching piece but the matching piece was not mentioned in the description. I called Maxsold and the person that answered the phone, after viewing my issue, told me that if I would send an email to *******@maxsold.com describing the issue that Maxsold would contact the seller and get a clarification on the matter.
I did as requested but received this response. "Unfortunately, we only have one-time access to the premises and do not have more information other than what is present in the catalog and pictures. Please note that the description takes precedence over photographs." First of all, photographs should either match the item or take precedence over the description. Second, why would Maxsold not have the ability to make a call to straighten out the conflict. Not good business in my opinion!
Tip for consumers:
Purchase at you own risk because you can't count on the item being what is pictured.

We had the pleasure of having an exceptionally experienced and professional team that streamlined and flawlessly executed every small detail of every auction lot.
The monumental task of downsizing lifetime items became a pleasant 3 week event for us, with each of these auctions from the beginning to the pick-up. Both auctions sold 100% of the items. This, in itself is amazing.
MaxSold is an excellent choice, and in our opinion, the only choice for downsizing; fast, easy, sensible and with a wide variety of buyers. THANK YOU!
Have had a couple of experiences from buying side - easy to use site, bidding system is fair and equitable, items were definitely as pictures, and organization for pick up is hassle free and very coordinated.
Armani, a member of their sales staff, has called me 8 or 9 times. Each time calling from a different phone number in an attempt to garner my business. This is an over-aggressive approach to sales. I don't appreciate it all. It's pathetic, desperate and embarrassing. For every additional call, email and text I receive from this company I will find a new site to poorly rate the MaxSold business.
This was our first time selling on MaxSold. It was recommended by a friend who was a regular buyer on the site.
From my first phone call then all throughout my sale every aspect was extremely easy thanks to the amazing professional, friendly staff. Of course there were a couple of snags, but the in person staff and the phone reps smoothed everything out with very little stress to us.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to sell their stuff and make some good money.
I've been using MaxSold as an online auction tool for the past 6 years or so. I've found all manner of items and treasures and have been impressed how they have upped their game year over year. Bidding is easy, contact is great, and on pick up day they've always been helpful. Sometimes it's slow, but its usually because people are showing up at the wrong pickup time or getting large items. Overall I am more than happy and look forward to the next auction pick up day!
I had to clear my fathers home when he moved. As he was out of town kijiji just wasnt an option. Besides it would be time consuming and tedious. MaxSold came in one day and efficiently staged, photographed, catalogued and posted online all of his items. Two weeks later they came back and supervised the pick up and I was paid in a timely fashion. I couldnt have been easier and I realized a nice profit
After many years of scouring the local yard, tag, estate and flea market sales... I am so happy I found MaxSold... I am able to search for items and actually get them, without having to waste the day driving around only to find the item I'm in search of has been scooped up by another buyer... MaxSold is the way to go... they post pictures and descriptions and have very upfront rules and terms... I have won several lots recently and the MaxSold staff takes the time to make sure my lots are pretty much located in the same area of the house... everything from games to furniture... I am addicted! I have recommended this site to lots of friends even strangers (they better not bid against me)... lol. I KNOW when I downsize someday, I will be getting touch with MaxSold!
Be careful! Pictures does match the description which is sparse. When you go to pick up stuff it looks different. I asked for a refund for a few items and was kicked out as a buyer. Not a very nice company. Take your chances, it's a hit and miss.

MaxSold was great professional efficient and responsible. They handle everything. Where we didn't know what to do they took care of it for us, we just watched them work their magic. It's really awesome, thank you for your great job.
They handled my 147 lots of stuff we needed selling since we were downsizing. Wonderful results and good oversight by the MaxSold team. I would highly recommend you use them to downsize or clear out and estate. The whole process was very transparent and cost effective. Don't worry about the stuff you need to get rid of, let MaxSold handle everything for you! I am so relieved to have this behind me.

I have been buying from Maxsold (previously named Youbidlocal) since 2012. They have always been very professional - whether it's their online bidding site, up to the second winning or losing bids, the rapid purchase receipts once bidding closes, and their very personable customer service group on pickup. I really can't understand why there are any negative comments on them. I give them 10 out of 10.
I have been a buyer on the MaxSold site for almost a year. I have purchased many lots of items that were a great deal, a few that were not, but that is what online auctions are all about. Only once did I have an auction that was missing one item (evidence in the photo proved it was supposed to be there) but they offered me other items of similar value. Most times I feel like I got way more that expected. Everyone I have met that work for this company have been very nice, organized, and helpful. Keep up the good work!
