As a seller, I was completely satisfied with MaxSold. They were efficient with their communication with me, arrived on time to photograph the items I was putting my home on the market and needed to clear all the contents. The online auction occurred on the dates we agreed and Pick Up was arranged and was efficiently conducted. Staff was courteous and experienced. Accounting was provided quickly and to my satisfaction. I would recommend MaxSold wholeheartedly. Thank you for a job well done.
First time seller and multiple technical issues such as: - Date I picked for pickup was not the date given to purchasers - Reports online differed from reports received (kept telling me one lot wasn't paid for online) - No instructions on what to do if lot isn't picked up - App DOES NOT link to a sale you've started - Uploading photos was a challenge Reported to Maxsold and basically told to bad. They only addressed the first issue and said a confirmation email had the same date as the purchasers despite their online system showing the data I had chosen.
I have told many people about Maxsold.com. You are my very best favorite site. Usually check out your website daily to see if any sales are near me.
The staff is very nice. Pickups are arranged at most convenient times for buyers.

I have used maxsold for buying and selling items. Always get good deals as a buyer. As a seller we are enjoying the sold rate over 90% gone in 1 pickup day. Will use them again. Do it youself on the app its easy.
I really like what comes up with this site. It seems underexposed because I always find stuff really cheap and have fun exploring. Well worth your time to take a look. Everything I've bought has come as shown and agreed.
I don't know how I discovered MaxSold but boy am I glad I did. No matter what you're into or looking for, you will probably find it at an auction near you, and likely for a great price. I used to spend hours visiting antique malls, garage sales, thrift stores etc. looking for specific items. No more! Now I browse local MaxSold auctions from the comfort of my home. Bidding is simple, and winning an auction is thrilling! Pick-ups are fairly straightforward (once I was caught off guard when I was forced to manually remove shelves that were screwed onto a wall). I almost wish I could keep MaxSold a secret to reduce the competition, but where's the fun in that? I've even seen items I lost out on show up in a local antique store for 2-3x the price.
This site is very well run from both administrative and technology standpoint. They've clearly spent a lot of time working through how to make the best experience possible. One thing that I really like is that if someone thinks they're going to wait until the last 15 seconds to bid on something, the time is automatically extended to give the other bidders a chance to counter. Sometimes this incites a bit of a bidding war, but that's the idea. I've purchased many things through MaxSold. Some were amazing finds! Others weren't as cool as I thought they were going to be, but I've never felt ripped off and have always found good value in all of my purchases.
I love Maxsold, especially for furniture. When something is big or heavy, not many people bid on it. That's how I got 2 brand new, matching recliners for $1 each. I was so happy you'd think I'd won the lottery!

After years as a buyer, we've held two sales now. And just signed up for our 3rd! Unlike many other things, this MaxSold platform runs exactly as described... and you receive immediate support should you require any assistance. Recommended the Seller Managed Sale v. the MaxSold Managed as it's easy to create your catalog... you can do it at your leisure... and it's easy to manage the pickup. Plus, MaxSold staff is there (even on weekends) to help over the phone on pickup day. Best way I have found to sell off an estate, or sell down slow moving inventory. As with any auction, you must have realistic expectations of prices achieved. MaxSold twice now exceeded my overall expectation. Highly recommend this service!
My wife and I have been buying on MaxSold for a few years now, she with her Hummels, me with l. P. records and audio equipment and my favorite - ham radio gear. The items are always as described, and waiting for our pickup. We're also always happily greeted every time at the point of sale, which is a big factor in what brings us back. It's also fun to bid in auctions from the comfort of your home. We'd recommend Maxsold to anyone wanting to get into auctions and finding great stuff.
I have been an ebay member for a lot of years and have sold/purchased over 500+ transactions. When I found Maxsold i was of course sceptical of yet another online auction house as there are many. What i liked was i could bid on multiple local auctions online from home and then just pick up myself. I bid daily on various items that many times are rarely available and there's no reserve! I dont win em all but enuf to keep me interested. Even top prices are really well below market and rarely does someone 'goof' and run up price but thats goin to happen according to a famous circus owner. Move on to the next one!
I needed to downsize my 4 BR home quickly (5-6 weeks) and significantly (down to 1-2 rooms of furniture). Selling on my own, on FaceBook and Craiglist was just too stressful. The MaxSold team was efficient, professional, and straightforward throughout the process. I do suggest you ask lots of questions of your sales contact, and READ all of the materials before signing your contract. I notice a number of other not-so-great reviews by folks who did not do their own research beforehand. It is a bit hard to swallow, when an item goes for less than I as an owner think it is worth, but many items went for more than I expected. A huge relief for me that all of my items will be gone in plenty of time for the settlement. I could see this as a huge resource for folks with a parent's home that they need to empty quickly. Thanks MaxSold
After donating and tossing much of the contents of my parent's large apartment after my father passed, we were left with over 190 Lots (single or groupings of items) to sell. Maxsold gave us the tools and their team to guide and instruct us. We chose to do the labelling and grouping ourselves. The whole process was so convenient and easy and once posted, we did not need to worry about payments or times for pick ups. There were only a few things not sold - not a big deal as one person who came to pick up his purchases, bought the unsold items with cash on the spot. It takes time, effort and a lot of emotional stress clearing out decades of other people's lives; Maxsold allowed us to sell items that I know my parents cared for and would be happy hadn't been tossed. Hiring Maxsold meant there was extra money to put towards the cost of a funeral and burial, something many don't think about or plan for.
I read one bad review here. The reviewer mentioned items were in poor shape. That has never been my experience with MaxSold. I have completed several purchases - everything was as described. I woudl recommend MaxSold without hesitation.
I buy for resale on multiple platforms. Sourcing can be difficult. Maxsold offers a way to get a lot of stuff at one time and reasonable prices. The on site staff couldnt be more helpful, and the telephone support is equally helpful. The company is constantly trying to streamline the process and regularly asks for opinions to make things better which I appreciate.
Descriptions were vague and their picture quality not great. Pick up day was disorganized. Item not picked up was refunded. That's not right. Because the person who was outbid might rightfully have shown up. Also they take 30% off the top and THEN deduct $700. Once all is said and done the net doesn't make it very worthwhile. An excellent concept but but wouldn't choose a max sold auction again.
Had to wait 1/2 hour past specified time to get in. My lot was missing and they said they were watching the whole time "it only takes a second". Over 30! 0ieces of glass and pottery? I don't think so. People were wandering around unsupervised. If you can't guarantee my lot will be there not interested in bidding. Completely unprofessional

I have been dealing with this company for years. They have always been extremely helpful at the pick up locations. I have had to call because I was running late 2 or 3 times and they were nice enough to wait a minute or two extra for me to get my stuff. One time I lost out and was hospitalized for 2 months after an emergency surgery. There was no way to recoup my items however they were nice enough to get me a nice sized gift card from Starbucks. First Class Organization all the way!
After I used MaxSold`s seller managed auction services, I fell in love with the platform, ease of use, in built marketing, traffic, fast professsional support, and most importantly, the results! So much in fact, I closed my Etsy shop and now resell solely thru their platform. After 2 auctions that took a total of 2 weeks to complete, from start to finish, we had sold the same amount in sales that had taken us a year and 3 months to sell on Etsy. Powerful and 100%true! Thank u Maxsold. I am excited about selling online again!
MaxSold lets me easily find items of interest without leaving my home. Setting up an account is super easy. Bidding is easier and I can do it in my pajamas. Much cooler than other online auction sites because of how eclectic the items are. I don't need to get up stupid early and hope to be one of the first people in the door only to find items with wacky pricing. No pushing and shoving.
I know what I am willing to pay and I can hop over to get my new finds during a clearly designated time. Plus pickup is well organized and the staff is always kind and helpful.
My only complaint? I want MORE MaxSold auctions near me!
If I could give them ZERO stars I would. If everything left in your family estate is pure junk, and you don't care about any of it, then sure, go to max sold. But we had a huge estate full of some beautiful stemware, clothes, appliances, excellent condition furniture, lamps, artwork, vintage keepsakes, one of a kind collector's items, purses, you name it, and we will be lucky if we end up with $100. They group your items in ridiculously large lots. They take absolutely AWFUL pictures, and terrible descriptions. They do not care one bit about your items.
The process of Max Sold is great; however, if you want to get the best bang for your expensive items, then reconsider. This company reminds me of an online garage sale. The highest bidder for our $6000 dining room set was $62.50 and there were other items that were very low. I immediately let them know that they needed to contact the buyer of the table and let her know that I would not let her have our table for that low price. People bid low and get items to sell in their businesses or through other resources to make money. Plus, we paid $700 for the service plus they get 30% of the items sold.
Tip for consumers:
MaxSold is like an online garage sale. Don't plan to get rich.

I'm relatively new to MaxSold, but I've purchased items from about 5 auctions in the past month and my experience has been great so far. I've gotten some fantastic deals on various items (including art, collectibles, jewelry and furniture). The MaxBid function saves time and energy and works just like advertised (it doesn't go to your MaxBid unless necessary). Pick-ups have been organized and easy. Overall, a fun experience with MaxSold!
My auction in oakville made me feel that the seller had taken all the better items and left all the older, less desirable, broken, non working, mismatched items that were a step above value village and that the seller decided it was easier to auction them on unsuspecting people than pay for movers... you have to watch and know exactly what you bought because stuff seems to disappear with all the people going in and out. I spent a lot of time removing damaged/old items... the linens should have been thrown out they were so old and smelly. Garden tools broken and quite a bit of stuff was over 10 years old... i would prefer being able to see the items in a viewing before bidding on crap.
The maxsold site is easy to use and a great way to purchase items you may not be able to find in stores anymore. I love the vintage oddities that estate sales offer and Maxsold has been the easiest way to bid. Im always excited to check out whats available in my area.
I have had nothing but great experiences with Maxsold in North New Jersey, and New York. I use it to source items for resale, and I often get fabulous buys. I find it's easy to earn back 3x what I spent, but you do have to be careful and not bid too high on something that has already reached retail prices. I'm very often outbid and often see items go for far far more than they are worth. I recommend it for sellers too, as I wish I had maxsold when I was cleaning out my mother's house. I've probably bid on over 20 auctions this year alone, and won hundreds of lots.
Jaclyn from max sold was suppose to advertise our stuff get best prices instead no advertising made 100 on expensive stuff and then instead of 30% they want 300 so basically we gave our stuff away for free. And this $#*! stole our money. This $#*! lied and took what we didnt have
