As a seller, I was completely satisfied with MaxSold. They were efficient with their communication with me, arrived on time to photograph the items I was putting my home on the market and needed to clear all the contents. The online auction occurred on the dates we agreed and Pick Up was arranged and was efficiently conducted. Staff was courteous and experienced. Accounting was provided quickly and to my satisfaction. I would recommend MaxSold wholeheartedly. Thank you for a job well done.
First time seller and multiple technical issues such as: - Date I picked for pickup was not the date given to purchasers - Reports online differed from reports received (kept telling me one lot wasn't paid for online) - No instructions on what to do if lot isn't picked up - App DOES NOT link to a sale you've started - Uploading photos was a challenge Reported to Maxsold and basically told to bad. They only addressed the first issue and said a confirmation email had the same date as the purchasers despite their online system showing the data I had chosen.
Cancelled my account over $1 They have my credit card but did not bill it. Plus the last auction I won, they gave me the wrong address and there was no customer service to help. I do not like the way they do business and do not trust them.
This was my first time using the auction site and was extremely pleased with their organization of picking up items and their descriptions. I struggled a bit with the usee of their website but started to get the hang of it after the 1st bid. Workers friendly and accommodating.
I purchased 2 items at auction and scheduled pickup at 4:00 pm on Friday. Went to the location, up a dirt road in the mountains, and no one was there. Called 2 different numbers for Max sold. One went straight to voice mail, and the mail box was full, and the other I spoke with 2 different reps 3 different times. No one was able to get in touch with them. Called on Saturday, and told to send an email. I did, and received an email back stating I had missed pickup. I did not and have a picture of the address. Can't get anyone to help me with this. Not impressed, to say the least. Since pickup was not available I believe they should send it to me. It's not large.
I have to admit to being completely satisfied with my interaction with Maxsold personnel during their inventory/photography of my auction items and subsequent distribution to customers. They are real professionals and I would unhesitatingly recommend them.
Discovered this by accidentally clicking a Facebook ad. Glad I did, Have been able to get many items i needed and a bunch i didn't know I needed at a great price. Pick up has been super easy and organized. Have used it many times in the past, will continue to do so many times in the future.
MaxSold's website is user friendly which is very important! The staff is very efficient and knowledgeable with any questions that we may have. Great work ethics - is committed to helping us sell our items for a reasonable price.

I got a great deal and the staff at Maxsold were helpful and friendly. I was thankful when they offered to help pack a bigger item and even made suggestions if I needed extra time to get a larger vehicle. My experience was great!
I've just recently begun to purchase items on MaxSold. So far I really love it. I've purchased items at six auctions and have been very pleased. The staff is very courteous when you come to pick up your items. I think that the items received are described and photographed accurately and there always seems to be something in the lot that you hadn't counted on. Lastly I think that the extended bidding is the best idea in online auctions since online auctions. Ebay should have done this years ago. No more sniping at the last second. The extended auction puts everyone on an equal footing.
Tip for consumers:
Though most of the items that I've seen are not high end there is still tons of great stuff. I suspect that most sellers cherry pick or have otherwise tried to sell items on their own before hiring MaxSold. So pay careful attention to the photos and descriptions.
I just found out about MaxSold and immediately bid on some items. I won three, a statue, a weight set and a dish set. I am extremely happy with all of my items. The pick up process was very easy, we had a dolly to load the weight set, brought our own boxes to load up the dishes and carried out the statue. Easy and fun.
MaxSold is like a garage sale where you don't have have to pick through things. You can get everything from antiques and designer items to necessities. I cannot tell you how many items I have gotten at the price I am willing to pay!
I had already donated collections, mowers, power tools, furniture etc. before I knew about MaxSold. To my surprise what was left earned enough to pay for the subsequent haul away of what was trash and donation worthy. I couldn't be happier and intend to tell everyone about the service's success.
This was a lot of fun, almost like being at a live auction and the service with the notifications when I was overbid or won and then the pickup instructions were all very clear. Made for a great experience. I am now a big fan of MaxSold and will be watching all the auctions in my area from now on.
The people at Max Sold Auctions are SUPER nice. And Helpful too! I was thirsty, they gave me water! I needed help, and even though they weren't suppose to help, they did. Love them and can't wait for the next auction in my area!
Photographs do not manifest the odor of the product. A stinking carpet, fur coat,
Or mouldy furniture is worthless. Also, be careful with faded prints/watercolors.

I have been happy with all of my purchases from MaxSold. I have gotten some great bargains and the process couldn't be easier. Pickup is very simple, I purchase my items on-line, show up at my assigned pickup time, and I'm done! Its a great business model.
We used Maxsold for an estate sale this month and I'm so glad we did. 95% of everything we listed sold. On the pick-up day, the only people coming to the house are people who have already bought and paid for items - no lookie-loos or nosy neighbours! I found the whole process from star to finish very easy. Would highly reccomend Maxsold!
I just started browsing and buying from MaxSold Auctions and with my first Auction I have been hooked. I have been attending on-site auctions since I was a child and have sat through many auctions waiting hours for one item to come up. I no longer have the wait and what makes the process even better is the efficiency, friendliness and professionalism of the Max Staff. MaxSold makes the entire process way too easy... and I love it! I haven't had a bad experience yet.
I was a bit nervous at first but my experiences with MaxSold has SOLD me on this way of bidding on auctions. This company has been professional at every step of the way; from the online bidding process, to payment, to invoice management, to pickup! And the pickups have always been fluent and easy to manage!
I referred a friend for a seller managed auction. She was overwhelmed with the vast accumulation of "stuff" on her hobby farm as she prepared to sell the property. I assisted her by directing her to the videos online and by demonstrating the set up, cataloguing, photography and pick up techniques for her auction. She was delighted to see all this "stuff": leaving her farm car load by car load. At the end of the auction she had disposed of all the "stuff" that was holding her back from her next chapter in life. About a week later, I received a very excited phone call from her. Not only had she gotten rid of all the "stuff", but she made THOUSANDS of dollars from selling it. If you have a friend or family member who is weighed down with "stuff", hook them up with MaxSold. It's a very freeing experience.
They did an auction to sell my fathers house so we would have money to pay for his care in a nursing home.
I have a picture with one of the workers with her going through my briefcase. We have tried repeatedly to contact the company and get no answer. The police have tried to contact them no luck. I finally found an address in White Plains and still no response. I have emailed them called myself and no response. I think these people should be shut down.
They sold my expensive items for hardly nothing or kept the money and did not report any thing. They used my house and I found many items missing. They send vultures to your house and steal any thing that's not nailed down. They should pay people for the use of your house. Just a lousy scam company.

I recently bought some items from Maxsold. I bid on two auctions for the same day in Burlington Ontario. I went to pick up my items at the first location. The staff were wonderful. We told them that after this pick up we were heading to the next one. They were pleased we were having a MAXSOLD day! Some of them said to say hello to Paul at the next location. We went to the next location and found Paul. All the staff members were so awesome, helpful and always had a smile. This was not our first pick up and it won't be our last. We were happy from start to finish. Can't wait for our next purchase.
I use MaxSold as a buyer, and am always satisfied, have a great deal on what I buy. The pick up is always quick and smooth not really flexible, but it is what it is, no complains there.
Staff are always nice and friendly.

I just discovered Maxsold just a couple of weeks ago after using another online auction service. I made my first purchase and couldn't be happier. Great deals, great website that allows you to search for items you want and also to keep a track of your bids/purchases/watch list. Picking up my items was a breeze. I'm now waiting for my next auction to close so I can pick up more great deals.
Maxsold is great for deals of every kind. You can find normal types of things, like furniture, appliances, etc. But it's also like treasure hunting, because each auction has so many one of a kind items! It's a fun kind of shopping with great deals and interesting items!

It’s an unfortunate reality that the market doesn’t always pay a seller what a seller thinks is a fair price for individual things (or perhaps even in aggregate) under a competitive auction model (this is true for any auction company). Maxsold does its very best to provide both a detailed outline of our process (www.maxsold.com/sell) and share our past auction data (www.maxsold.com/past) to prepare sellers for the realities of the market when items must be sold. Sellers have both financial and emotional attachments to items and so our job is to sell only those items they need to part with - typically items that will soon be a liability due to a move / sale of real estate / etc. as selling the items avoids additional, ongoing, logistical and/or storage costs. Our model, which includes selling everything to the highest bidder regardless of price, guarantees our sellers a finite and transparent experience that passes the logistical burden onto the buyers as they MUST arrive and remove, with their own resources, all of their purchases from the sellers location during a short time window agreed to by the Seller. This saves hundreds (if not thousands) in labor alone. The other element that impacted this Seller’s result was requiring us to reschedule our team 3 times after we had already incurred costs to have our team on site as they originally requested.
Where other solutions try to control prices while having no control over time of sale, we give the seller control of time while giving up control of price to market competition. For people who have items that will soon cost them to hold onto, this is the most economic (and green) solution to the problem.

Additionally, our experience suggests there weren’t other 3rd party sale of goods options for this seller (as others would have denied service or cherry picked goods on the basis of lack of ‘mix/fit/value’ for their models).
