The first thing you need to understand is how an auction works, that's on you. If you don't like how it works than don't use it. The next thing you need to understand is the value of the item you are bidding on, that's also on you to decide. If you are a seller, do your own selling if you want to make sure you are getting the price you are going to be happy living with, otherwise you are at the mercy of the auction process.

I recently had to move after the death of my husband. I engaged MaxSold because I had difficulty selling things myself. I was also being pressured to move quickly. The initial meeting with MaxSold staff was a revelation. Two people came in and organized a sale out of a lot of stuff that wasn't well organized. They photographed my stuff and held the auction on line. Then three MaxSold people came in and got all that was sold to the right people. They even helped me look for a wedding ring that had been lost months before. If I ever have to do this again, i. E., sell a lot of things, I would be happy to engage them again. I recommend MaxSold as a way to downsize, whether it is because you want to or because you have to.

We used Maxsold to auction off the contents of our house. From the very first phone conversation right through to the end of the pick up process the staff at Maxsold were clear in the explanation of their service, gave solid advice and managed our expectations appropriately. We used their full service option and as a result sold over 90% of our items and after the initial fee and commission we actually got a decent return.
Wade was super helpful every step of the way and Avi and the cataloging team and later the pick up team were professional and efficient. If I were to make any suggestion at all for improvement it would only be that it might be a good idea to place a sign on the lawn for the duration of the auction indicating the information on how to access the auction. From the start MaxSold computer platform works great and is easy to use. The catalog works well and the bidding is easy. The communications with bidders is excellent and the item pick up is well organized and is to make.

Using MaxSold 8 times now, every time I go to the locations for picking up my treasures, the items are always ready for me to collect (or wrap) and the staff are friendly and most helpful. Thank you MaxSold!

I have bought MANY things off Maxsold and have never been disappointed. Descriptions are always accurate (no one saying BNIB, only to get there and find that Salvation Army wouldn't even take it), if there is damage they say so, if not, great! Have never had to try to return anything and have never had them over charge me. If you ask me, it's better than eBay!

I have participated in estate sales and on on-site auctions for many many years. Even as a child I recall going to auctions and waving my grandmother's paddle to win my "things". As I got older the stress would get to me to the point that I would bet on things I didn't need just to win LOL. When I first discovered maxsold, I was skeptical. But after at least 10 successful auction purchases (and a few that I was hoping not to win haha) I can truly say that Max old issiimply the best auction program to participate in. With no reserve and no minimum bid, friendly employees working at every site, easy in easy out, easy pay and complete credit card security it is the way to go! If i ever have to downsize or know someone who is I'll recommend MaxSold without hesitation

The Maxsold team was great. They did such a good job cataloging everything. I would highly recommend this company to help with any estate sale, downsizing or moving. Everything we had listed, sold. It weas truly a terriffic experience.

Do you have girls that work with you or for you, Sarah Tammy, morissa, April and many more that do meth on their break and steal from the people they are supposed to be helping I will not hire this place. It is a joke they have no idea who they're hiring to do the work.

If you read these reviews, you'll see that most are posted by buyers who got "great deals". That translates to low profits (if any) for sellers. With Maxsolds requirment that they make a $1000 minimum, there is no incentive for their hourly paid employees to make the extra effort to photograph or describe your items in a way that might encourage more bidding.
I had to do a lot more work and cakoling than I expected to try to make sure I could get the most for my items. Maxsold fell far short of that. Any follow up comments on this site by their management will simply try to gloss over the issue and lay blame on the complainant. Shame on them.

I was moving and downsizing on quite short notice, so time was very important. I contacted Maxsold, having been referred to them by a friend, who had done some business with them. I was quite impressed how the procedure worked,, very well organized and I felt secure with the arrangement as anyone coming to my home for pickup was supervised. They were very well organized and the pickup went very smooth I think it was great safe way to handle the selling of various items, from the cataloging,, pictures,, online bidding,, payment procedure and pickup. For the homeowner it was a great way to downsize. I would certainly recommend this way of selling with Maxsold to anyone.

MaxSold is an execellent way to shop for both practical and unique decorative items. There is such a broad range of products offered by auction. I have purchased many useful items as well as many beautiful decorative pieces. The auction process is very simple and straighforward. The pickup process is also simple. The staff who administer the pickup have been very helpful and kind. I would recommend MaxSold to anyone wanting a bargain, treasure, or deal of the day.

Excellent concept, ease of use. Attending over 20 of these auctions/events, I have encountered the very same rude employee over and over. Despite complaining to Maxsold, the same employee remains, continuing her rude and unprofessional behavior. Other buyers have complained as well, to no avail. The most recent auction showcased her working the auction with her significant other, making unprofessional comments about the military and police, and asking if they could 'have things' - hinting that if they are not allowed to 'have things' that my account would be banned. I am now banned, was given no explanation from Maxsold, and those two Max employees are not, to my knowledge, held accountable.

WOOF! 5 stars from Baddog at 2dogsdigs! We have tried numerous consignment services, but found out about MaxSold and thought it was an intriguing option. Did our first auction in November, and were very pleased with the results. Sure it was nervous starting at $1 - but we had some items go well over $100 that we thought had little value, so it all balanced out. Any over 95% of our nearly 200 items sold! Planning our next one right now... so, yep - BigWOOFS!

I do not spend much time on Facebook but I am especially thankful for that day that I discovered a MaxSold ad. We were looking at moving from a big house to a condo. We had stuff we had inherited from family members still sitting in boxes in our basement from our last move of over 20 years ago. We knew we had to get rid of much of it. Then MaxSold came into our lives. Stuff we would have thrown actually made us money. Our first experience netted us about $750 and we did little of the work involved in getting it sold. I recommended it to a friend and we added some of our stuff to their sale and we netted nearly $2K the second time. Can't wait to do it again as I am assembling an inventory now to sell!

I was very unhappy with Maxsold. Items were grouped together in large groups putting many expensive items together. At one point they grouped 38 candle sticks as 1 lot. Crystal were grouped with wooden ones as well as with large floor candle holders. Expensive vases and urns were grouped together in large groups until I stepped in and made them break them up.
The groups were entirely too large and made no sense how the grouped them.
The photos where poor quality, some dark, some blurred.
I had 3 6' racks if Christmas items. They put each rack as 1 llot. They did nothing to group thing together that made sense. I did all the work, all they did was take pictures. They were supposed to be there till 6:00 but by 3:00 they said they were finished.
I would NOT recommend anyone using Maxsold... we made very little on the sale and felt the quality and professionalism was not there.

I have had an account with MaxSold for years and it has impressed me from the start. Over the years, it's impresse me even more with the variety of auctions and items available. I have purchased several items over these years and the process is seamless and everything has been as described. I recommend this website to anyone who's willing to listen. :) 10 Stars!

My wife and I watch MaxSold every week. We find great deals all over Mass and Rhode Island. The pick up has always been quick and the MaxSold employees have been pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend watching MaxSold.

I was extremely impressed with the MaxSold team and their operations. They were very professional and capable in all aspects of the sale, as well as the logistics in handling the buyers' arrival for pick up and removal of all the items from a very large condo sale. Faced with last minute challenges from the condo management, they quickly adapted and managed the entire sale without any difficulty, directing buyers in and out of the building in a coordinated fashion, and ensuring a very high degree of care and efficiency. Buyer's identification is checked along with proof of purchase, and staff accompany them to their purchased items for pack up and removal. I was very impressed and would very highly recommend them!

I won my first MaxSold Auction item recently and got a great deal. I picked up my item at the site and everyone was so courteous and proffessional. It was a simple process from beginning to end and I'm hooked! Can't wait for the next auction in my area.

I am looking for the objects of the Second World War, whether uniforms, weapons, ornaments, nothing related to this historical fact, this page is great, there is a bit of everything, also their auctions are great!

Love Maxsold! The process is so easy and worry free. I thought going to find and pick up my items was going to be a hassle but it WASN'T. I just drove up, my item was right there, I loaded it and in 5 minutes it was all done. Plus it's fun and easy doing the bidding.
