As a seller, I was completely satisfied with MaxSold. They were efficient with their communication with me, arrived on time to photograph the items I was putting my home on the market and needed to clear all the contents. The online auction occurred on the dates we agreed and Pick Up was arranged and was efficiently conducted. Staff was courteous and experienced. Accounting was provided quickly and to my satisfaction. First time seller and multiple technical issues such as: - Date I picked for pickup was not the date given to purchasers - Reports online differed from reports received (kept telling me one lot wasn't paid for online) - No instructions on what to do if lot isn't picked up - App DOES NOT link to a sale you've started - Uploading photos was a challenge Reported to Maxsold and basically told to bad. They only addressed the first issue and said a confirmation email had the same date as the purchasers despite their online system showing the data I had chosen.
The term as and conditions are very clear and one can not assume. The devil is in the details. If you do not understand ask but after the fact is too late. The organization fulfills a real problem of how to get rid of stuff. And it is this stuff which in the eye of the beholder is a jewel or junk. They help get ride of stuff quickly and effectively. You use the service for that reason only. If you want to sell for a profit or to get some of the value back this is certainly not the service to use. It is a great place to get a deal but again buyer beware it is someone's used stuff that they need to get rid of. So that being said, I have personally bought several items on several different bids and have got some junk to throw out at home and some treasures that I will keep until my sons put it up for bid after I die. I found the company very professional and honourable. Keep up the good work.
When I started bidding on maxsold, I thought this was the best kept secret. Now its gettinf out there that this is the place to bid on items without spending an entire day at a live auction. Can do this in the comfort in your own home. Dont have to waste a whole day at an auction house. I have found so many things that I keep and some I sell. Either way it is keeping things out of the dumps when we really need to upcycle.
As a first time bidder to an auction, i found this site easy to negotiate and make bids on. I did miss out on a couple of items i wanted, but, i will put that down to my own learning experience as i wasn't paying full attention as the bid clock clicked down. I did actually win 3 bids from 3 different auctions. I found the pick up of my new items was very easy, i even was lucky enough to have had a nice chat with all the people who had put stuff up for sale and on the last place i picked up from, i was also given 2 free items. A set of cool boot shaped shot glasses and a very large cookpot that i will be donating to our local Fish and loaves society, who provide free food for the less fortunate in our town. It doesn't really get any better than that. I will bid on other items, and see what other little treasures i can find.
As a seller, I was very impressed by the customer service support. All my questions were answered quickly and provided all the information and a step by step guide. The pick-up day went smoothly, with everyone adhering to the COVID pickup guidelines. I would recommend to anyone interested in using their services.
I have had quite a few winning bids with Maxsold, I have been very happy with all my items that I have won. All the people that I have dealt with have been very helpful and friendly. If I had an issue it was dealt with promptly and efficiently. I definately would recommend Maxsold. It's fun and easy and looking forward to bidding in another local auction.
I had hundreds of pieces to sell, 281 lots to liquidate my inventory: jewelry, textiles, statuary and religious furniture, in other word unusual lots. Dan and Sue, my Maxsold people, worked hard and efficiently and granted some flexibility for the specific properties of the inventory. Dan answered questions immediately on phone and by e-mail. I particularly liked not being involved in the pick up and viewing arrangements. If Dan and Sue had questions about the background of pieces they asked and always followed up. Maxsold is so easy. I don't have to bring money to claim my stuff because it automatically put on my credit card. I feel that my credit card is safe as I have never had any problems. I have won several auctions and I am extremely happy with all of my items. Maxsold is the way to go if you are downsizing but if you are looking for that unusual item for that person or yourself this is the place to look.

I bid on a cabinet and contents and won.
As soon as the auction was over I noticed they had changed the lot sticker on the cabinet and sold the cabinet separately. I contacted them and their response was that because the cabinet was not listed in the description in their opinion the photographs are meaningless. Even though the lot I bid on had 2 photos of the cabinet, one exterior with my lot number on it and one interior with no shelf contents, just an empty cabinet. Nothing in the description said contents only.
I have been to many auctions both in the UK and USA and in my opinion people think that their stuff is worth far more than it actually is. What they don't realize is that an item is only worth what anyone is prepared to pay for it. I had stuff that I thought would go for more and I also had stuff get a great price and I wasn't even going to put in the auction until I spoke with their knowledgeable staff. The staff came and photographed and sorted ready for the brochure and on the day those who were successful came and collected their stuff it all disappeared as if by magic. If I had got a junk removal firm to get rid of all I had it would have cost me big time but with MaxSold, even after paying their expected commission I have got a cheque coming to me. The staff of MaxSold were efficient and polite and never made me feel awkward in any sense. Thank you all so much - my house is now free of "junk" and I can go out and treat myself with the proceeds - you can't do better than that.
MaxSold had items I wanted to bid on, and I was a little concerned because the auction was ending soon. I was happy to find that it was really quick and easy to sign up and start bidding. I was glad to win two lots.
I have 'won' the most incredible items. Just this past week I 'won' a Waterford vase and a Lenox vase and 2 other items--all for just $35. I looked up the Waterford Vase and it sells for over $225. Like i said--I am totally addicted!
I have purchased from Maxsold 7 times and each time has been great. The bidding process is very straight forward and to the point. Picking up my purchases is very easy. Due to COVID, you must sign up for a pick-up time, but each time, the process has been seamless. I use Maxsold to re-sell, and in each of the 7 times, I have made my money back.

I have bought things at multiple maxsold auctions, and I've loved all of them, my favorite item purchased was 9totes worth of books for $2. The workers are always nice and good at directing the flow of traffic at the site.
I love auctioning here, where people are trying to get their stuff sold in a fast manner and it means I get really good deals on stuff! I've gotten furniture, paintings, mirrors, a hammock and some other odds and ends so far. Love this site and it can get a bit addicting to want to bid on stuff I don't actually need...
I won a bid and very easy to pay and collect the stuff. The staff was very cooperative and friendly. I went to collect as per my slot the stuff at given address and took hardly 5 mins to collect the items because organized well and easy to handle.
As a two time seller using MaxSold, I found the process a lot easier than a garage sale and we sold 95% of the items, some items went dirt cheap and others went for a price that was more than I could have expected. I also have been a buyer multiple times and find the process very smooth as a buyer. Will be back again in 2017 as a seller and as a buyer

I have both bought and sold on MaxSold, I love finding that treasure and getting to meet the original owner to get history. When selling I get to meet the buyer and experience their joy at what I am passing on to them. This is more than just buying and selling. It is an experience. I love it!

I know what I'm bidding on, what the cost will be if I'm successful, and precisesly where I'll travel to pick the item up. COVID-19 has created financial issues all around and when moving and relocating I discovered that I could purchase high-quality items from those that were really locating and selling their items. This auction site is fair and very easy to navigate and after less than spending $800 I have a full house completely furnished.

There was a happy ending to my bidding story. Google sent me in circles when I was trying to find the location for my pickup in a gated community in Florida. I missed my pickup time and couldn't find the location. I called the MaxSold number and the MaxSold team was able to help me find the way in and arrange a special pickup. Thanks MaxSold.
Maxsold was so convincing that everything would sell, words cannot describe just how disappointing the experience was. Over the phone they claimed 95% of the content would sell. When the crew came to the house, they were pulling stuff out of the trash that they said would absolutely sell. Further, after going through the entire house, they were certain everything would sell. And they said the numerous times after seeing all of the contents. After the auction closed, most of the furniture remained along with approximately 50% of the contents of the house. Now I have to pay 800-got-junk to clean out the rest of the house. In the end, going with Maxsold turned out to be the worst option for us.
In addition to taking feedback from our Seller’s and doing our best to make it right in their eyes, it’s important to provide the following information for transparency for others that may be reading this. It’s an unfortunate reality that the market doesn’t always pay a seller what a seller thinks is a fair price for individual things (or perhaps even in aggregate) under a competitive auction model (this is true for any auction company). Maxsold does its very best to provide both a detailed outline of our process (www.maxsold.com/sell) and share our past auction data (www.maxsold.com/past) to prepare sellers for the realities of the market when items must be sold. Sellers have both financial and emotional attachments to items and so our job is to sell only those items they need to part with - typically items that will soon be a liability due to a move / sale of real estate / etc. as selling the items avoids additional, ongoing, logistical and/or storage costs. Our model, which includes selling everything to the highest bidder regardless of price, guarantees our sellers a finite and transparent experience that passes the logistical burden onto the buyers as they MUST arrive and remove, with their own resources, all of their purchases from the sellers location during a short time window agreed to by the Seller. This saves hundreds (if not thousands) in labor alone.
Regarding this Seller’s removal outcomes, it was unfortunately negatively influenced by actions we advised them not to take as their decision was clouded by personal value perceptions (regardless of the transparent results available on our website). Although we are confident that a 3rd party professional appraiser would agree that our results were fair value (and that we offset even more significant disposal fees than they incurred), we are ultimately sorry that our seller is disappointed in this case.

Where other solutions try to control prices while having no control over time of sale, we give the seller control of time while giving up control of price to market competition. For people who have items that will soon cost them to hold onto, this is the most economic (and green) solution to the problem of getting things removed on their timelines (typically for a much larger value proposition such as a closing real estate transaction or avoiding ongoing rental/lease costs).

Maxsold has bumped their buyer premium to 15%. FOR WHAT? Just another money grab (GREED). I will stay with the other online auctions at 10% for example midland auctions, shackeltons auctions in Stratford and bid2buy from selkirk and area.
