Mint Mobile offers the services I need, at an awesome price. I've dealt with their customer service, requiring help getting Mint Mobile started. They were very patient and I have not had any issues since changing from V****** about a year ago.
They pass on fees that you cannot easily find in your account to you because they need to comply with federal law. That is part of your business model! As a new customer I paid 3.3% over my $180 plan. But now that I'm in, it's 12% over the $180 with a "recovery fee" that is $18.15! Ridiculous

Mint Mobile is now TMobile and they've outsourced their customer service to people who know absolutely nothing. My data crashed for no reason and I've been on the phone with Mint for 2 days, speaking with people who have no idea how to help me. It's unsafe and it's costing me money in lost business. I prepaid for my 12 month plan, yet have no service. Please stay away from Mint. It used to be a great company with great customer service and now it's horrible. My "ticket" has been open for 24 hours and I've not heard from anyone and still have no phone service.
UPDATE! I found a better company! It's Verizon's, Visible. Although it costs $100 more annually, so far it is fantastic. BTW, Mint is telling me that they don't give refunds. They forced me to go elsewhere because they couldn't resolve the data issue and now want to keep my money. I was only 2 months into my prepaid year. Run from this company!
Tip for consumers:
I joined Mint when it was new. I took a chance on this company. I've never received worse customer service in my 58 years. Something suspended my account and no one is trained to resolve the issue. I was promised calls back that never came. I was promised my phone would automatically fix itself and that never happened. It was a really upsetting experience and now they a resisting refunding my money.

Prepaid phone service.
I have been stranded outside of airports and hotels. Mint International is not a bad service. It is a non-existent service. There was no signal whatsover in India.
I have missed appountments, been unable to book Uber rides, and have been unable to use various standard apps - like Google Maps, for example. I cannot say enough bad things about this service.
Tip for consumers:
Just Don't do it.
Do not get this service. At first it starts off good and then after you have been there for a little while it starts going down hill. I have the prepaid service for unlimited talk, text and data for $40. I started with them on the 6th of the month last year. Now my billing date is the 1st, so how does that work. Yep, they are stealing customers' cellular data and money. On a second note, the send out texts that you can go ahead and pay your bill early. If you don't, they slow down your data and you will barely be able to use your phone. This is what happened to me the past week and then it got so bad, 3 or 4 days before payment is due, data really got slow, and I couldn't use my phone. I called them and they pretend they dont know what you are talking about. One rep actually told me it was time to pay my bill when it really wasn't and from there, I knew what happened. Their ads run unlimited service which means there is no set amount of data you reach. They told me that I had a 4g phone and I asked what that had to do with anything because I still have unlimited service. One day my phone went to SOS. They are liars and thieves. I see they have some lawsuits and hope they have more about what I am talking about here: false advertising and stealing customers' data. I plan to move on after the next month's run out. Do not get them because they are crooked.
Do not sign up for Mint Moble services. They have the worst customer service team that keeps you on the phone and run around in circles for 4 to 5 hours when you're trying to fix your cell phone they shut off my cell phone after I currently auto paid my bill and it took them over a week to get it turned back on And on about the problems I had with them, but it's not worth the stress of saving a couple bucks because you have to deal with fixing problems because their phones company doesn't work. It's not worth it. I don't recommend it.

The big picture is when I call mint they act as if they aren't aware that they have a service issue. So they pin it on Apple, I call Apple. They inform me it's a service issue. That's pretty obvious. I checked around on is it down. Turns out service is interrupted for a lot of people. I say it's a trash service. I'm ready to go somewhere else, going to shop around and see what I can find. $25 a month is hard to beat but I need consistency and reliability. And mint isn't that.
I ordered a phone and plane on 6 Sep 24 and the website says they shipped it that day, After multiple attempts to contact them I finally got through to a salesman. He informed me the phone should have been shipped within 3 days...after some research he told me it was never shipped and he contacted the warehouse only to find out they are "out of stock" and they may get some in 48 hours. The website STILL says they shipped the order and even provide a tracking number which says the post office still hasn't received the phone. I should have bought a phone from a better company then maybe I would have service to comment on. "UPDATE" 15 Sep I called the number given in the reply from Mint and there is no category for customer service only sales and technical support. I got hung up on twice and now I'm on hold after talking to a saleswoman (Christine) and have been transferred to (Mary) job unknown. Mary told me my order is processing, when asked how much longer, she informed me that it was mailed on the 6th of Sep, (a LIE) even though the last time I called I was told that it WASN'T mailed on the 6th because it was out of stock, she told me that it was the Post Offices' fault. When I told her that the post office never got the phone to ship she got confused and put me back on hold. I was just told that to prevent anymore delays they are gonna cancel the order and refund my money, when I explained by doing that they are gonna cause additional delays she got really confused, I explained that it would take days to refund and reorder but she still insisted it would be faster. I'm waiting on a Supervisor (Marcus) now to explain that course of action and he is checking the same things over again...45 minutes so far on this call, "I am recording the call because no one will believe this" 53 minutes total to be told that they won't refund my money UNTIL I return the phone that they never sent. I then explained to Marcus that I can't return something they never sent, he told me that it would be sent out tomorrow the 16th of Sep and when I get the phone to call back to activate it and they may give me some compensation for all the trouble. So far MINT customer service is HORRIBLE!.
Yes, AI strikes again. I had left a negative comment about Mint Mobile customer support when I found out that if a customer purchases any phone directly from the Mind website, there is a 7 day window in which to return it. The phone you receive may break on the 8th day, may get a virus on the 8th day, may malfunction on the 8th day--regardless--you are screwed. There are no refunds. Imagine purchasing an Iphone or Android for $1,400 - $ 1,600 dollars. On the 8th day after the purchase, if anything goes wrong Mint Mobile won't refund your money or even allow you to exchange the phone. So I asked the customer service guy "So that means you can buy a $1,500 phone directly from MM and if it breaks, you are out $1,500. The support guy said, "Yes, and it happens." At least he was honest. I found out all this when I contacted MM about 2 weeks after I purchased the phone. I was in another country and couldn't return it within the time frame. But the phone I ordered not only wasn't working properly, but was reviewed by android review sites as the worst model phone the reviewer had tested, giving it a grade of unacceptable. I mentioned all this PREVIOUSLY on sitejabber, then received an AI generated message to the effect that Mint Mobile was very sorry for the poor customer service and to contact them so that they could rectify the problem. I DID call their customer service because the MM message stated that I SHOULD. Well, it took about 45 minutes for thei customer service rep to understand why I was calling and another 15 minutes to discover that the AI generated message was "unactionable" (is that a word even)? So I wasted an hour trying to explain the problem. Unfortunately as it apparently wasn't included in the script the CS, they were baffled. They finally said to copy and paste the AI message and send it to their "live chat" feature. OK. I'll try. I bet I get the same AI generated message though. BTW, you have to look VERY CAREFULLY at the MM website to see this 7 day return policy.
Tip for consumers:
Get rid of AI responses.

Mint consistently overcharges on autopayments. I enrolled in a $15/month plan, but was charged $30/month instead. Despite providing all the documentation and screenshots confirming my agreed-upon charge, the company instructed me to dispute it with my credit card, as they couldn't issue a refund. They assured me they would correct the error for future charges to reflect the $15/month rate. However, six months later, I was once again charged $30/month. Since autopay is the only option, it's concerning that they consistently overcharge. I promptly switched carriers, as it seemed like a scam.

I purchased Minternational to get ready for my travel to Philippines. I purchased a 7 days pass and a 3 days pass. It cost me around 70 including tax. However, upon arrival in the philippines and activation of minternational, it didn't work. Fearing of being stranded at the airport, I decided to just purchase a new sim and data. I was so disappointed and upset, It felt like I was scammed by mint.
Mint mobile is by far the $#*!tiest serving phone company for customer satisfaction ever I just bought a plan and try to use my wife as a referral now mind you I purchased the plan and try to add her within 10 hours of purchasing a plan as the referral she's been a customer with mobile for 2 years now I'm being told that I'm not allowed to add her as a referral which don't make no sense because most companies give you a little lead time for stuff like this promos and stuff I would just stay completely away because one thing I've learned is that they're not about their customers
Mint Mobile is by far the worst company I have ever worked with. After mire than 5 years if being a client I mistakenly added a purchase request of 1 gb of data to my account not knowing my data pocket would get renewed tomorrow. One I figured that out, I contacted the customer service and asked for a refund while I hadn't used any amount of the newly purchased extra data. The customer service surprisingly told me that there is a policy that they can't refund anything being purchased from them. Be aware, this is a scam company and all the transactions you do with them is going to be one-way. I seriously recommend you to use other companies when it comes to choose a provider. Mint is a zero-customer service company.

My family of 4 have are on our 4th month of the Mint Mobile Unlimited (or "throttled at 40gb") plan. My daughters and I can't send pictures/sms msgs to each other, only texts, and data is always extremely slow, no matter if it's the beginning of the month or whenever. We've all come to believe that most likely, since we live in an urban area (100k population), T-mobile has deprioritized Mint Mobile here, permanently. I'm not sure how to get this confirmed, but we were T-mobile before changing to Mint & the network was NOT slow like this. But since Ryan sold out to T-Mobile, I don't feel so bad about giving Mint 2 or 3 stars.
I've had Mint Mobile for a while. I use a 3-month plan. In December, I recharged my plan for 3 mos, which was to be $75. They charged me $135 for 6 mos automatically, which was terrible timing, but I decided at least I don't have to think about it until June, per the info provided in my account.
Today, they suspended my account for non-payment! I called and referred them to my plan and transaction history. They continued to tell me it was time to renew and the payment failed! After more than 15 minutes of repeating myself, they decided to send this to the "back office" for review, as they could see what I was talking about, yet would not simply resolve this with integrity.
My phone still isn't working.
I am starting here, but I certainly am not stopping here - I'm blowing it up!

Not only did Ryan Reynolds sell his share of Mint Mobile, he's a big old liar! Setting up my phone was a hassle and even though I was supposed to have 'unlimited' data I had to repeatedly call for assistance (all of which are handled by an out of country service). He should be ashamed for conning us into thinking this is a reliable alternative phone service.

I switched to mint from Verizon. To be fair, I was on an outdated plan on Verizon unlimited calling and internet $70/month. Verizon offered to lower it to 50/month after I finally called them. Mint was offering 45/3months then 40/month after for unlimited calling and internet. However, mint does say there is throttling of internet after 40GB. I wiped out 40GB in the first 4 days. I am just finishing my first month, and after those four days I've felt like pulling my hair out half the time. It takes twice to three times as much time to complete simple tasks like ordering dog food, googling something. Half the time I forget what I was looking for while the pages load.
Was it worth the savings? Absolutely not. The wasted time and mental energy was not worth the potential $10/month savings. I will be looking to call Verizon back soon 🙁

For over a year no issues. Paid my bill on the 16Jan24 and no cellular service. Spent all day with customer chat. Resetting phone. Network. Finally told test SIM. Later in evening talked again via chat to service. Told network issues and engineers are working on it and SIM was test by them and was fine. 18Jan24. And still no service. I feel CS is just saying what it takes to get me off the line and have no clue how to fix. It's gonna take a week for refund of fees so I can switch carriers as this carrier is obviously not caring about its customers service and I'm losing money every day my service is down.
They try to lure you in and claims you can cancel plan if not satisfied. Coverage is poor in my area but I had to spend over 2 hours on the phone to ask for the refund, sure... they check the system, check check... then no refund despite of being told it'll take 7-10 days, no, not even 2 months and I had to call again.

I am in Mexico. I bought international roaming credit with mint mobil to use when I do not have access to wifi. I have been with them for about 4 years. It had been working fine. Yesterday I received an email from mint mobile stating that my international roaming credit was now moved to my wallet and it gave some options for some ridiculously expensive international plans. Today my roaming no longer works. I spoke with a supervisor who said i need to buy a plan. 1 week is $40 and i am here for 2.5 more months. So...no. This number is connected to my business and now i am stranded without data. My only option to get a mex sim card but that will be a diff# thus affecting my business as well as then having to notify all contacts of my new number. They did this with no notice whatsoever! And the international roaming credit i bought can only be used to pay my bill or buy into this new plan. I cannot even use what I already bought! And again, no notice! On average i was using $20 a month of data and now they say it is $40 a week or $10 a day. I could get no help whatsoever from them. Do NOT use this service if you plan to travel. The no notice for such a big change is unacceptable!
No mention of the "teaser rate" was given when I signed on. I was also told I would be able to receive a discount for being over 55 when I renewed my plan. So today was the day I needed to renew and now my rate is nearly triple. I ask about the over 55 discount and the rep says for new members only. If that's the case, why would I know about the discount but not have it implemented when I initially started with mint? I'm out.

We recently traveled to Canada, paid for international service beforehand, could not get our phones to work. Called Mint several times, finally got one phone working, but they used all our roaming money. Very dissatisfied, going to switch cell phone coverage.
Thank you Mint Mobile, for making it easy to transfer cell# from other carrier, mint mobile is efficient and understand the reason of your call and make it happen, in addition their fees are very affordable. Customer service excellent. Happy client 10/27/23 Lupe

The service and pricing are fine. The admin side of things is horrible. Wasted a bunch of time today because their emails don't have the correct specifics – ever. After my initial 3 month promo, I switched to 1 yr for the best price ($15 month when prepaid). The emails I got don't make it clear that I have switched - it appears that I am still on 3 mos after just changing to 1yr (it only lists my current plan and doesn't say anything about the year). Mint says that the email was just a confirmation of me having added a payment method and signing up for autopay. Very confusing. And then today I get an email encouraging me to get more savings by signing up for a year - despite the fact that I have already signed up for a year! This after they misinformed me initially, requiring multiple calls to straighten out THEIR mistakes. They used to be great, but now? FAIL!
