Mint Mobile offers the services I need, at an awesome price. I've dealt with their customer service, requiring help getting Mint Mobile started. They were very patient and I have not had any issues since changing from V****** about a year ago.
They pass on fees that you cannot easily find in your account to you because they need to comply with federal law. That is part of your business model! As a new customer I paid 3.3% over my $180 plan. But now that I'm in, it's 12% over the $180 with a "recovery fee" that is $18.15! Ridiculous
Customer service is a mind $#*!.
Whether through the chat, or the phone.
No refund possible, it seems, after 7 months in (I paid for a full year). I'm still waiting on some obscure technician to call me back. It's been 5 days since a ticket was created in order for my problem to be addressed. My datas haven't been working for a month now. I have tried everything that was suggested to me (and repeated myself A LOT in the process). And still, can't reach the internet unless there is WIFI around, nor neither can I send & receive texts.
I've been trying for a week to transfer my existing number. Did they just steal my $53 bucks?!? I was kept waiting in their "Chat" for over two hours last night until I couldn't wait any longer. Next time I checked my open chat with them it had timed out and now I have to start over. I don't have time for this. Very frustrating customer service.
This seems like a good deal at first but my god I would pay big money to never deal with them again. The customer service is possibly the worst of my lifetime. They really suck and now Ryan Reynolds is the face of suck.
Tip for consumers:
They wouldn't unlock a phone I had paid for. Called India three times to straight up be put on hold where I was prompted to enter a credit card or be hung up on. It is the most unprofessional customer service I have ever been apart of

The price is great and I get great service. However when I switched, my phone would not work for the first 3 days. My daughter also had the same problem. Customer service was able to fix it but then the next day, her data didn't work. It seems to work itself out after a few days, but it's still frustrating

This is the second time since last Nov I have lost phone service, can use internet but cannot receive or make calls. After many phone calls trying to understand the people in India another new SIM card was sent that again could not be activated. My husband prepaid for service until next June 2023. I have had enough and switched to T-Mobile. My husband asked to have the payment until June 2023 switched to his phone and was told they don't do that. Be very careful, they have shut my service off two times in one year or are supplying faulty SIM cards. Money lost. T-Mobile is a little more but the people could not be nicer and helpful and you can understand them. Mint probably won't be in business for long judging by all the negative reviews.
Customer service is an absolute joke, the Indian Men they have working for them are extremelyrude and misogynistic. They will take your money but not provide service. They bait and switch! $15 a month turned into $25 a month. Avoid at all costs! You truly do get what you pay for, this entire operation is entirely worthless.
Tip for consumers:
The Attorney General needs to look into their bait & switch!!!!!!!

Couldn't use their service, no one could unlock my phone. My old company said it was a Mint issue, Mint said it was an old company issue. I said screw it & canceled, especially after I noticed the bait & switch., I signed up for $15 a Month, but I was charged $25 a month.
Bought 3 phones for my kids and spent so much time trying to deal with the phones not working or bad service. They continued to move cell towers, but that did not help. I tried to return the phones and get credit for 3 phones and for the full year service plans a couple months later and they rejected it by saying they only have a 7 day return policy. Xfinity Mobile seems to be 100% better. DO NOT DO IT!
Quite possibly the worst customer service experience of my life.
Some of the cheapest rates available, but that definitely comes with some of the worst cell reception and customer service available.
Incompetent and unhelpful service people at every turn. People will say something is taken care of to get you off the line, when really nothing has been done. Employees will take weeks to respond, if they ever even do. No one can explain anything. Absolutely flabbergasting.
You better hope you don't mess anything up, this company will just ignore you until their 'return window' is up and keep your money.
Strongly advise against giving these fools any money.
They ghosted me. Never, ever...not one time actually answered their help line. Stayed on hold for hours. Never responded to one email. Never helped with chat nor social media requests for help. My phone has Mint as its carrier but their own SIM will not work. They refuse to send me another SIM, activate this one or give me a refund. They literally just stole my $150.00 and will not respond to my repeated requests for assistance. If anyone would like to jump on board I started mintclassaction.blogspot.com
Tip for consumers:
Read their social media posts' comments before you switch

None...they never actually activated my service nor gave me a refund
Tried to move my service from AT&T to Mint. I am using an iPhone 14 and after 6 hours on the phone, they never could get it to work. Since my number had been transferred, I no longer had any phone service.
I tried to get my account number so I could move to a service that knows what they are doing. They said the only way I could get my account number was for them to send me a text. Of course that was impossible, since the service never worked!
After many more hours I finally got someone to give me my account number.
Then I filed for a refund per their 7 day policy. It was rejected. So not only did they screw up my service, they refused a refund!
I've had some bad customer service in my life, but this is by far the worst.
You should avoid this business due to horrible customer service and no refunds for when it doesn't work.
There's a reason they're so cheap. Terrible customer service. Impossible to contact them by phone or chat. 1'20" on chat. No answer. Tried calling. 20" on hold now. Reps are utterly incompetent. Rep disabled my sim by accident. 2 weeks no service.
First off, this is the worst mobile carrier I have ever had. You definitely get what you pay for. I barely get any signal in the middle of a city. It makes no sense. I came over from Verizon to save money. That was the only reason. I am now going back to Verizon. I need my account number and pin from Mint to transfer back to another carrier. They don't give you that information without having to contact them. But when you try to contact them, you are waiting for hours. I have been trying to contact someone since yesterday. By phone, by chat...it doesn't matter. No one answers! They must think we have all day to wait around for them to respond. It's only because I'm leaving that they do this. If you are new to the service, someone is there to help immediately. I tell everyone I know to never use Mint Mobile simply because of the poor signal. And now the poor service is just the crap cherry on top.

Was told to shut up and if I wanted to speak to a supervisor or manager he would just hang up on me. I'd rather pay more for good customer service, so that ended fast and I'm back to xfinity. I wish there were minus stars, because on star is to high.
Tip for consumers:
I think they need an overhaul in there customer service policy's.
If you value Customer sevice don't use Mint Mobile.

I switched to Mint using a 3 month card 15.00 per month to start. I thought I had purchased the unlimited everything plan only to find out 5 days in that the 5GB was hidden on the back of the card. I was out of data in less than 5 days. I purchased the card from Target so the money back in under 7 days doesn't apply. This has been a really long month with a lot of trips to the library! I think 5GB is cheap and miserly from Mint/Boost/Tmobile period. Thank goodness I kept my account from the last carrier. I will be switching back after this month. The next 2 months (I've already paid for them) are worthless. I do not recommend Mint if you use data. It's not an even remotely good deal! What a huge let down. They need to catch up with the current unlimited everything plans for under 50.00.
Tip for consumers:
Site Jabber is far more accurate when reviewing Mint from actual customers. It's my first month with Mint and I'm miserable.

Its really sad and pathetic really.
Tip for consumers:
I do not recommend this to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!

Unexplainable issues such as suddenly being unable to send texts! Who knows why? I call and very very nice people, read from very very long scripts that don't answer the question(s) I have. Traveling within the US and not having coverage and contacting Mint at least 3 times for a period of time each time, till finally someone got on the line and that was resolved. I don't know why.
I just learned having foolishly paid the one year in advance that if I cancel I don't get any of that money back. Unfortunately I am in my first month. And honestly I think it is worth my sanity to get out. Perhaps it will work for others better. I am done and dont see an end in site. I am on the website and also on hold on the phone for 22 minutes for customer service and somehow disconnect occured! I had a different plan for Saturday and I started this round earlier in the day. I would say be very careful regarding Mint and someone can say to me, 'you get what you pay for'.
For the past 5 months, my service drops completely and will drop any active call I'm on. This happens about 4x/day. I run my business over the phone and have lost clients due to this issue of calls dropping multiple times per day. I had great service for the first year, and then all of the sudden, calls and service would drop all the time, no matter where I was located. I've made over 11 calls into the customer service center in the past 1.5 months with absolutely no help. They all promised to call me back with further instructions or email me, and NO times out of the 11 calls did ANYONE actually follow through.
All I'm asking for is a refund for the last portion of my pre-paid months as I have had to switch carriers and pay for another plan now too. No one has been able to help me. The absolute WORST problem solving and customer service offered here.
I spent 10 days trying to switch to Mint. But their chat reps are so ignorant. NONE of them was able to solve my phone issues because each will be missing one detail over what to do with my A32 Samsung. Their people do not know anything about cells, they did not know about locked phones, or eSIM, or switching carriers properly.
Tip for consumers:
Do NOT go Mint!

None, since they were so bad at service found a different carrier for my cell.
I am disappointed with the service provided by Mint Mobile. My daughter and I signed up for a family plan in March of 2023, which I understood to be $75.00 every three months for both lines, with additional fees and taxes bringing the total to $82.23. However, since March, I have been charged a total of $412.83, which exceeds the yearly cost by $102.18.
I reached out to Mint Mobile to address the discrepancy, but they refused to listen and cited the renewal date of each phone as the reason for the additional charges. I find this explanation confusing since it is a family plan, and I am disappointed that Mint Mobile refused to refund me the $102.00 or waive the charges for the rest of the year since it is already paid in full.

Tried for over 24 hours to activate service and was never able to do so. Customer service takes forever to get in touch with a human and when you do that human is only capable of following a script and cannot actually help or even think logically. Stay far away. Took over 30 minutes to even try to get my account number and pin to transfer to another service and I still have not received it.
Dont bother, little to no service. Call into customer service and all they can do is patronize you and read off a script. Made over 27 calls and chats. Lied to almost everytime. Sent me defective phone and i paid to fix it. Have no service at home and very little at work where i spend 90% of my time. Of course no refund. But of course they claim to have excellent coverage in my areas. I would caution anyone to stay away and avoid all the headaches and lies.

Bought a phone and 12 month plan for my elderly parents, pre paid for a year, phone shipped with no sim card, an hour on the phone with the worse support person, all we needed was a SIM card.1 hour call after being continually lied too...you don't need a SIM card, phone doesn't work without one...save your money asked to talk to supervisor, mope
Got a plan After they said the phone that I had and the area I was in was good. After trouble Shooting for 2 weeks When the network would work right. They finally told me that I would never be able to get any High speed Data where I lived. I would only be able to talk in text which made the plan useless and not what I Paid up front for 3 months. They would not issue me a refund.
Regrettably, I switched to the mint mobile for a 6-month offer on 11/28/22 of service as it was a better deal. I was not able to use 1 day to call no service. I Could not make any calls, on Dec 8,2022, after 10 days I asked Mint Mobile support to help resolve my issue and 5 agents were lying the same way. They refused to issue my refund due to the policy of more than 7 days I was with them yet never made one call, please never switch to Mint you will be scammed.

I paid for 3 months of service
After a full year of no issues, my contract came up for renewal. I needed a new phone, so chose a 12 month plan with phone. I went back and forth with customer service for 3 days before I finally asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor insisted they can't transfer from mint to mint, so I would have to change my cell phone number that I've had for 25 years. I refused so I am returning the phone and plan. It's been a nightmare. In my panic at not having a phone (I have breast cancer) I paid twice for the 3 month plan. Now I'm stuck with them for another 6 months on my old phone, which is dying. I'm on a very limited budget due to breast cancer. I'm trying to live on SSI so this is a nightmare for me.
