Mint Mobile offers the services I need, at an awesome price. I've dealt with their customer service, requiring help getting Mint Mobile started. They were very patient and I have not had any issues since changing from V****** about a year ago.
They pass on fees that you cannot easily find in your account to you because they need to comply with federal law. That is part of your business model! As a new customer I paid 3.3% over my $180 plan. But now that I'm in, it's 12% over the $180 with a "recovery fee" that is $18.15! Ridiculous
Customer service is a joke. They are not helpful at all. Frequent call drops and I live in the 2nd largest city in my state and constantly got " no networks are available when I tried to make a call" mint mobile is a waste of time and money!

Cell service I provided my own phone
I bought a new phone with mint mobile service for my son, it was stolen. I Contacted mint mobile, and they would not let me long in to my account. They kept saying I need to give them five phone numbers from that I called from the phone. I never used the phone and it was no other way to access my account on line. That's ridiculous not able to give them information from my email and credit card to access my account, when I never used the phone, my son live out of state. They need to find another way to access our accounts; I am cancelling my server and have to wait until my service run out, in the meanwhile somebody {the thief} has free service.
On a trip to the British Isles I planned to make calls for taxis and hotels and to use data (Google maps) by adding roaming credits $20 at a time. After two weeks, I could not add anymore credits because Mint Mobile has a limit of $100 per month in roaming credits. So I was left high and dry in a foreign country on a long holiday weekend with no phone service. Customer service was no help, plus due to the 8 hour time difference they were not available when I needed them most. In the USA the service has been fine. Customer service suggested Wi-Fi calling but my IPhone 13 is not compatible according to Mint Mobile's website.
I ported out my number to another phone, but I still had 3 months of service paid for. I called to activate my service on another phone and they cancelled my account without a refund. Just be aware the pricing is promotional.it goes up after your first 3 months
I am vision impaired, they said the phone would be specially set up for me out of the box, it wasn't, then they said they would send a return label, they didn't even after calling 4 times and each person giving me a different story about the back room, etc
Very dishonest company

none, this company is horrible
I got charged twice for a twelve month plan- that's 2x$390, so I have paid them $780 total. I have been back and forth with them for weeks, and keep getting a different answer from each person I chat or talk with. Some say that I was not charged twice, some say the issue is with my bank (it's not) and some say that I have a refund on it's way, but the refund has not come after 10 business days. Now I have to find out if I can take any legal action or if my bank has a way to help me dispute this extra charge. I think Mint Mobile is a scam company. Please stay away from this business!
Mint Mobile in my opinion is a scam I've been lied to on numerous calls and scared out of $700 the phone sent to my daughter can't be activated but they show 569mg used and 3 text sent I've been hung up on 7 times, given false numbers to call and blatantly lied to and Mint Mobile can care less. I'm a disabled vet and the phone is for my college bound daughter no working phone no available recourse and no refund alls I wanted was a real able way to keep in touch with my child. U people should be ashamed but of coarse its all about profit or precieved profits. Stop cooking the books u don't need to add on false charges Do you?
Their international calling service is horrible and no one knows how to fix it or even seems to care one way or another. I spent literally 16 hours over the course of a month or more trying to deal with their support staff who just tried the same thing over and over and over again and somehow expecking a different result.
Absolutely terrible service.
Worst customer service experience we've had! 6 days without phones because their e-sim didn't work and they were unable to "unlock" our new phones, finally canceling and switching back to our old provide that charged us of course for reinstanting. Ryan Reynolds may be cute, but Mint Mobile is not.
Thank you! BBB better business bureau! No thx Mint mobile because you fought every moment including disappeared!
It took me 5 months of wasted going back and forth.
You (ceo's) are condoning this behavior (free access to good & bad reviews).
Go on the phone, customer x,
And call for a rebate? No rebate department access, how convenient. Your making cash $ hand over fist on people who stop fighting (every penny)
I hear your selling mint mobile, oh! Well those great reviews should enjoy the ride because you will be a victim sooner or later, if you need help! Write BBB

Refund
Don't count on getting a refund or changing to a high capacity plan like 4gb to 10gb per month without charging $30 versus $15. A few other tricks so I favor Tello. Next step is to try Boost $12.50 unlimited plan as Tello drops the data connection and bandwidth depends on the time of day. As it appears Mint does as well in my case (LTE only). The Boost deal has not let me apply thus far. Could be 5g territory only.
Tip for consumers:
Buy the 10gb plan if your not sure because the government doubles down on the fees for the same time period. Mint takes their 30% overcharging as well. Tello is alright but I was trying to get an ATT MVNO for more stable bandwidth. Sprint was better with CDMA originally. Problem was MyMobileNation / Twigby was awful. After checking that mint had good coverage at my house I bought 6 months of service. When I activated I could not get it to work properly even after spending 3+ hours online with various support people. They told me I needed to wait a couple of hours for the network to register and when I needed to make a call the next morning I got a message saying I was not attached to any network. When I called support to switch back to my old carrier they took awhile to get to it but finally got it taken care of but my request for a refund was refused so now I am out the cost of 6 months service and the cost of having to switch back to my former service.
This is NOT the company that they present to the world. I would advise everyone to stay away.
Tip for consumers:
I would have read more reviews about their service before buying.

Be prepared for down time, trying to get your sims card they have to send it to you since they don't have hardly any stores available plus if your planning to keep your same number if you switch with them they will have to send you the sims card and they said it will gel 3-5 days if your lucky. I been out of a phone for 3 days now. And they say that I have to wait.
They never could get my phone set up. I spoke with one airhead that had no idea what she was doing, one lady that left me on hold and never returned so phone disconnected, one lady that said she would call me back and never did, and one man that told me my phone was not compatible, although the Mint website said it was. The fourth phone call to these absurd technicians was the one where I asked for a refund, which I was lucky to receive the next day. Whew! Never, never, never sacrifice good customer service with your phone plan.
I am having problem with call drops. I called customer service many times and every time "they check IMEI and connecting to strong network" looks like its standard answer. I fed-up with their answer and i asked to refund my money, agent disconnected my call. Than i asked in chat and after submitting the request for refund they denied. Now i lost my money and with bad bad service. I asked for new sim and checking my luck. Overall in my understanding they don't care about your issues
I bought international roaming service and it didn't work from the second I arrived in the country. Once I got back the US I tried to get a refund and they told me they won't do it because I didn't contact them right when it wasn't working. So Im somehow supposed to contact them to tell them my service isn't working when I don't have service to contact them? I even have a screen recording of me trying to use their app (to contact them no less) and it not working. Complete scam, I'm leaving immediately.
I purchased a "google pixel 3XL" and in checking with google for the manufacturer warranty I found that Google does not recognize this phone as a legitimate google phone. I have provided a string of 18 emails and a chat record between myself and Google with Google's statements about the phone. Mint Mobile sales was also provided with this info and Mint is refusing to replace it because I am past my 7 day, or 30 day, or 60 day warranty (had phone since middle of June, 2022). They refuse to address the issue of this being a counterfeit phone.
Bought new phone with service. Unable to activate. Website chat (supposedly 24/7) wouldn't work. 800 number kept hanging up. Eventually was told that I wouldn't get 6 mos of service which were supposed to be free, because I wasn't bringing number.
People must not have checked their phones compatibility or something, because Mint works great for me! I ensured that:
My phone was GSM Unlocked
I had coverage on T-Mobile's network in my area
My phone passed the compatibility check on mint's website
In my state in the US, Mint/T-Mobile reception is exceptional and my phone was activated in 5 minutes. Can't beat the price! People probably just didn't care enough to make sure it worked for them, hence the bad reviews. I recommend it, especially at the price of only $15 a month for the 4GB plan. I was told that what ever plan I got I would get the same amount of time free so I sign up for 1 year. After one year they shut off my service instead of honoring there promotion. When I call them up they first said the had a new computer system then after giving them a week they said that was not what they promised. I will never use there service again.

Stick with who ever you have.
Constantly freezing. Have to shut down apps numerous times. Half the time I can't even get my email to open. Never had such bad service.
Not worth the aggravation.
"Activate your device" "Registering the device with the network" These are the messages I get every time I power up my phone. This activation/registration always fails with a Connection Error 6601. So every time I power up the phone I have to wait over two minutes before using it. I have spent hours on the phone with mint mobile support. They have never fixed the problem but constantly put me on hold always being polite but just trying to wear me down. I was just told I could only get my money back within the first seven days. I have spoken with ten or more mint support people only to get an endless run around with the problem never being fixed and constantly being put on hold.
Do yourself a favor and go with another carrier. They pretend to be customer friendly but they are not. The last time I was put on hold they eventually hung up on me. These people have NO SOLUTIONS. Go elsewhere it you do not want endless run arounds and you want a phone that works correctly.
Tip for consumers:
Do not be fooled by the low price. They are unable to solve basic technical problems and put you on hold constantly. They just try to ware you out till you go away. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company.

Purchased Mint Mobile Samsung A71 phone with 6 month plan.
Terrible terrible terrible customer service and service. I would not recommend them. They are a money-making, rip-off scam. They will never give you a refund. Customer service is all non-English speaking people and keeps reading the script again and again instead of listening to customer concerns and trying to help and resolve or get the supervisor's help.
Three days after installing the sim we had no internet. 45 minutes on the phone with "customer service". Unable to solve the problem. Refused to let us speak with a supervisor. Asked us to re-download their app. When I said I couldn't because I had no internet the guy said, "oh yeah, right." They mistakenly sent us a trial sim instead of the three-month sim we paid for. In the end, we canceled and went to T-Mobile. It may cost more, but my phone works.
Tip for consumers:
I have never had such an awful customer service experience.
