Mint Mobile offers the services I need, at an awesome price. I've dealt with their customer service, requiring help getting Mint Mobile started. They were very patient and I have not had any issues since changing from V****** about a year ago.
They pass on fees that you cannot easily find in your account to you because they need to comply with federal law. That is part of your business model! As a new customer I paid 3.3% over my $180 plan. But now that I'm in, it's 12% over the $180 with a "recovery fee" that is $18.15! Ridiculous
Buyer beware switching plans to this ridiculous company. I've been with Verizon for 23 years finally got tired of paying their bill, switched to Mint May 4th 2023 have had nothing but problems for 55 days with not receiving incoming text messages, had to cancel service. I have a Galaxy S21 plus that has been unlocked by Verizon and the phone still does not work with Mint mobile and they were completely clueless on how to fix the issue and I know I'm not the only one that's had this problem..
When I purchased a new phone and plan from MintMobile for my son, the sales agent confirmed that I will get the credit for getting a new customer since I was already a customer. However, when my son activated his plan and I contacted MintMobile to get the credit, they refused to give me the credit. They said that they would only do that for a new plan, not for buying the phone and the plan together. The sales agent clearly told me that I would get the credits. Moreover, it is not clearly stated on their website that that is not the case. So beware of this deception by MintMobile.

Okay, so my previous review was written in great frustration and still think this company while offering good value is goofy; to reset my password I had to wait for a recovery code to come
To me while I'm on their site, but it was confusing because it kept saying: resending code with a 60 seconds count down, but it was actually sending it for the first time. The wording was confusing since I had not requested another code.
Resend, to send again is how I interpret resend.
I just got the eSIM card. It got deleted off my phone and never activate the service and then they said they're a refund me which is going on four days and to keep up making up story saying all it's processed and it's processing. This company has a policy where it has the 7-day refund. So if my refund is not processed I'm suing them for false advertisement. And I'm also contacting my bank. This company is open to many of lawsuits cuz I can see all the reviews. So hopefully all the customers know that they have a case that they can sue this company for more money than what this company is trying to rip off customers. Mint Mobile has up until 3 days and then the lawsuit and the paperwork will be filed.

You get what you pay for! Rude, ignorant and terrible service! No recourse when the customer service puppets assign the second phone the first phones number… then neither phones work! Cost me two days pay! What a circus! Please…. Don't Use This crappy service! Marcia Parrent

I live in the states was just in France for 10 days, mint mobile was the number one largest frustration from my trip! I couldn't call or text anyone the whole time I was there except for the mint technical support (for some reason that worked). I spent hours texting them (8 separate technicians) doing everything they said to do, could not get it to work. The last guy tried to tell me my phone is locked! It's not! As soon as the plane landed in the states the phone worked fine again. If you are planning to travel outside of the states, DO NOT COUNT ON MINT MOBILE!
The fact Mint went all out promoting 50% off ( buy 3 months get 3 months free) and ended it right before it was bought by Tmobile says it all. You dont see Ryan Reynolds promoting Mint now, thats because he made out with a cool 300+ million after the merger lol.
The service area in Reno NV is god awful. 1 Avg bar literally 75% of the time. NO 5G SERVICE EITHER. Numerous missed calls, undeliverable texts.list goes on.
Setting up your phone with Mint is a nightmare,...errors galore.
Makes you realize saving a few hundred bucks to switch from a big provider to Mint is definately, without a doubt, not worth it. Dont do it lol...we're done with this *******@tshow of a company soon as the 6 months are up.
Tip for consumers:
Dont do it....you'll regret it

Very dishonest company and will not refund my 45.00 which they know the sim card was invalid.I have file a complaint with BBB and they still refuse to refund the money when I have file my complaint on the phone and online.Do business elsewhere because of horrible company policies.
Switching from Air Wireless to Mint Mobile has been an absolute nightmare. It should be so $#*!in simple. My husband has spent hours talking and chatting with your Mint reps and they are all morons! My husband is with Mint and he and I have the same phone. It's a 5G phone. His transfer worked with no issues (he has been on Mint since June 2023). When I put in to port over to Mint, I could text, go online, but could not call out with the sim card they gave me. The reps kept telling husband it's our phone etc. they even sent us another replacement SIM card, multiple escalated tickets to tech support, and tech even called back and lied and said it was an issue on our end and our phone. My husband called them out several times and God bless him,he had to tell the same story to multiple ppl. I was going to tell ppl about Mint Mobile but I'll never do that now. How many times must we tell the same info to your engineering team for them to get it? After 10 days, my husband said to me now to try calling out. Finally worked. Smh. My husband did more work than your Mint staff. Ridiculous
When we signed up for Mint mobile everything went well we transfered from Sprint to Mint Mobile and Sprint didn't give then hardtime unlocking the cells all the process went nice and smooth, now we decided to transfer to Consumer Cellular because is wayyyy cheaper and more data. $ 75.00 for 3 lines with unlimited data plus we get a discount from AARP permanently not 3 months. We called to tell Mint mobile to unlock our cells and it takes from 24 to 72 hours to unlock it. This is crazy we all know it doesn't take that long. I hope this helps, something to think about before switching network.
Switching to Mint has thus far been an absolute nightmare. We decided to switch 3 lines over and have been on the phone for hours for the past 2 days, and still have one phone that is not functioning. Getting the eSim working on 2 of the phones took the majority of the day yesterday. Today we spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get our 3rd phone working. We were transfered 5 times and the call dropped twice. They kept trying to inactivate one of the phones that are working. MAJOR issues in communication and comprehension. Finally got the physical sim card ordered, and confirmed the address no less than 4 times. We get the shipping noticed and the address is STILL WRONG. We are beyond frustrated with this company and will most likely end up going back to our previous carrier.
Tip for consumers:
Be wary. The lower cost for service might seem attractive but the stress you will go through to get your account set up isn't worth it.
WHAT?! I signed up for a new account with mint mobile and purchased two new phones. They said the phones would arrive in 7 to 10 days and then I would have two new lines of service. After almost a month, I still had not received the phones. After speaking with not less than a dozen people at mint mobile customer service, they told me that the phones were lost in transit. I then decided to cancel my service with them and they told me I had passed the two week return policy period. WHAT?! They then told me that there was a cancellation fee, and also that my card had been being charged this entire time for service and for the phones. I had to contact Affirm payment processing company because that's who they use. I needed a refund for phone charges and for service charges but once I contacted affirm they told me that it was Mint mobiles problem. After countless calls to both companies and getting nowhere, I decided to send them emails which they never responded to. The other day I applied for a new line of credit with a small company and they said my credit was bad because affirm had sent a bad report to the credit bureau because of mint mobile! I don't know how to get this resolved, but a warning to anyone who's looking to get new lines hooked up with mint Mobile.

I have been a Mint customer for 2 1/2 years. Their coverage is not very good but with VOIP and wifi assistance it is fine. They are almost completely unusable outside of the US. All that is fine - it is only $15/mo. I recently had a problem that needed customer assistance to fix. Between their online "chat" and 800 telephone number I have spent more than 3 hours in the past 2 weeks trying to get a very simple fix. All of their customer service reps can only follow a script and will not provide any information that allows you to escalate an issue to get a common sense fix. The bottom line is NEVER PAY FOR 1 YEAR OF SERVICE - PAY BY THE MONTH. If you have a problem before you have used your year subscription they will not refund or credit your account. This is even if the loss of service is their error. Ryan - I am crushed and would have expected more from the company you own for a loyal customer.
Tip for consumers:
They have virtually no customer service if you ever have any kind of problem. agents are very hard to get a hold of and can not deviate from a script they are given.

Mint mobile succubus. It will suck you in with you-know-what and give you 2 days notice that your subscription is renewed. Uh. No way in he'll to switch. So. You're stuck for another 3 months. The service is substandard which you don't know because you are used to sh$tty service. Get out while you can. She will suck you dry until you look like the cryptkeeper.
All I can say is do not believe anything you see or hear from Mint Mobile. They go on national media claiming what seems to be a great price...however they cleverly veil the fact that the quoted prices are only if you purchase 12 month blocks of service. Mint Mobile also has their own definition of 'Unlimited'. Unlimited to Mint Mobile means either 40 or 60 GB of 'high speed data', depending on the plan. I was a Sucker for falling for their slick 'Hipster' vibe. Don't make the same mistake. MINT MOBILE CANNOT BE TRUSTED.
Tip for consumers:
I'm fairly sure that Min, t Mobile's advertising practice is NOT illegal. They put the onus on you to check the "fine print", and in thrur national advertising campaigns are not at all upfront about the real cost and conditions of their plans... basically the polar opposite of transparency.

Mint got me to sign up a few of my friends. Service was great. Collecting on the benefits of brining my friends along for the ride was wonderful until Mint decided to reneg on its commitment to give a benefit for bringing them to the party. Excuse after excuse, customer service calls after calls, they don't want to actually follow through with their word. Honestly, If this happens to you too, you should file with the FTC for fraudulent claims. Maybe someone will finally do something about their false advertising and unscrupulous business.
My data did not work for 1 week long. Support were just creating tickets, they close them with words: we checked - everything is fine. They do not think, do not collaborate at all, they following their procedure not matter does it make sense or not. I personally having long engineering background saw where the actual issue was, but they did not listen, their support do not care at all. I asked for refund, they declined, because "base on their system I v used 25% of data", but in fact the issue was in their counter itself, they were limiting my speed because of their bug. But they do not debug, because they do not care if you leave or not. If you tell them you do want their service anymore- they will not ask, they are not interested. You may purchase their service, it is cheap, but it is cheap not because of their effectiveness. It is a bad service.
I have never had such bad service.
I ordered a new iPhone (paid up front) the phone I was sent is clearly not new. It's either second-hand or reconditioned.
Every time I speak to Customer Service they tell me they will send me a return label within 24 hours. It has now been 8 days and I have just been told 24 hours again.
I don't believe they are trying to resolve my issue at all.
BE VERY WARY OF ORDERING FROM THEM!
Tip for consumers:
Just avoid them

This is THE worst cell company I've ever TRIED TO use. I say tried because I ordered a phone and prepaid for one year. I never received the phone. After numerous calls to their "customer service" numbers... which by the way are all located in Dominican Republic, Mexico and Philippines...I was given the run around for two months. They kept giving me new ticket numbers... to start a new 24-48 hour clock.
My package never arrived... and one rep was honest and looked up the FedEx ticket. THEY CHANGED MY ADDRESS WHEN SHIPPING. Bottom line... they shipped the phone to the wrong address and refused to give me a refund. I had to dispute through PayPal and eventually my credit card company reversed the charge. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Buyer beware.

Mint Mobile has been a nightmare for the 2 weeks that I've had them. To give some background on my situation, I lost my phone over the weekend and have been trying to sort things out by ordering a replacement sim. Initially I ordered a new phone + a new 12 month plan and then contacted customer service to ask if I'll be able to transfer my old number to the new plan. The customer service rep I spoke to was not helpful at all, stating that they can't help me and provided no useful alternatives. Before finishing answering all my questions, the rep made closing statement and said goodbye. I later received an email stating that my new phone + 12 month service plan I ordered was refunded even though that was NOT what I was trying to do. Well if they don't want my business that's perfectly fine because they have horrible service. If you have to contact customer service, good luck because their staff appears to be very inadequately trained as they are all incompetent. Their chat service on their website is also horrendous. You will literally spend hours on there just trying to connect with someone. For some reason the chat will randomly time out even as you're waiting in the queue and every time the chat closes you have to refresh/reopen it and start all over again. Worst customer service I've ever experienced and that's saying something.
My old phone with VZW was broken and the service was too expensive. My brother recommended Mint as he has been with them for years. I ordered the service and a phone and was shipped a brick.
I requested a replacement immediately and followed their directions, nothing happened. No return label, nothing. I escalated internally to the highest level to get a new phone expedited. They refuse to ship the phone without having the old one returned which takes 24hrs for them to just provide the label and then 3-5 business days for it to reach them, then 3-5 more for them to send a new one.
If I had a choice, I would remove the service and get a new one.

Time after several hours, I have an international phone and they could not help BUT they sure could keep my money because you can't get a refund after 7 days.[ 3 month payment]

After 26 yrs I left ATT Wireless. I was one of their rare Foundation Accounts. Keeping customers was no longer their agenda. I reviewed many carriers & chose Mint. CS is polite BUT not everyone is knowledgeable w/the transfer prodicol/procedure/tech. After 2 days, 2 supervisors, 6 reps I got rep Jose & he completed my connection to Mint. I almost canceled (7-day grace period). There are many consumers that live in rural areas that have no cell service & rely on Wi-Fi calling/texting when home. That's my situation & my acct couldn't be activated w/o being w/in a cell tower service range. That was explained by rep Mary day 2. If the service remains dependable I plan to stay (hopefully another 26 yrs+). Saving $64 month/$768 annually for 2 lines & more data w/Mint. If you rely on Wi-Fi calling be sure to be in a metro area or dark green coverage area (per Mint map) to port your number/transfer & unlock your phone.
Tip for consumers:
For me, Mint cellar coverage is on par w/ATT Wireless. Be prepared for atleast 7 days to receive your new SIM card plus a possible 2 days to connect. To be fair, it took ATT Wireless 24hrs, 3 cs reps, 1 tech rep to manually unlock my eligible phone (normal procedure didn't work).

5/29/23 Ordered eSIM and 3 months 5GB service package. Found eSIM incompatable with my phone, called same evening to alter order, SIM instead of eSIM. Reconfirmed SIM would be received in 2-3 days. They came and went, called on the fourth for a tracking#. No tracking number, may take another 2-3 days. Called 6/5 to cancel, I never received order or used service. Rep confirmed, SIM was never even sent out. Processed refund request, guaranteed refund would be issued as request was within 7 day refund guarantee. 6/7 received email denying refund request because out of 7 day timeframe. What!? I never received the product or used the service. How could I possibly be outside the tryout period? Appealed decision, explaining product never even shipped by the company and service never used. Request denied. This company is a scam. A menace to society.
