Mint Mobile offers the services I need, at an awesome price. I've dealt with their customer service, requiring help getting Mint Mobile started. They were very patient and I have not had any issues since changing from V****** about a year ago.
They pass on fees that you cannot easily find in your account to you because they need to comply with federal law. That is part of your business model! As a new customer I paid 3.3% over my $180 plan. But now that I'm in, it's 12% over the $180 with a "recovery fee" that is $18.15! Ridiculous
Not only service is horrible in areas where it's supposed to be great and there are not issues with connectivity but the customer support is even worse!

Like everything else in life it turned out to be too good to be true. I signed up for the service and talked to someone on the phone and they assured me the SIM card would work in my phone. I gave them the correct make and model number and they sent me out a SIM card after I had ported my phone to this new service when the SIM card arrive I installed it and nothing happened I called their customer service and talk to three different people all told me the same thing take it out put it back in and try it again. After a couple of days of not having any service or being able to get ahold of anybody at mint mobile I finally got to talk to someone and explain the situation and they told me that my phone was not compatible with their SIM card after all it was a real nightmare getting my old service back and my old number returned to me. Do not use mint mobile run run very far away tell everyone you know do not use mint mobile
I am hesitant to recommend Mint Mobile after a few horrendous customer service experiences. The service itself is good. I have not had network issues and have the reception I expected. But the customer service... is on a completely different level of horrible. They take forever to pick up the phone, hang up on your when they don't have the answer, have no idea what they are talking about, and promise they will call you back and never do. One a single issue I had people tell me about ten different answers. The referral program is a complete scam- they make it sound easy yet there are a million different excuses they will use to not give you the referral bonus. It took me probably 6 hours of phone calls from multiple family members to sort out getting the referral bonus, only to find out I didn't qualify because they had to call customer service for support when they were setting up their account(?). I clearly referred these two people so on premise, they should have just given the referral bonus as they as a company would've been missing out on <$200. Overall, I would no longer recommend Mint due to the low-quality customer service and untrained employees that are manning the support lines.
I order a sim card and live about 300 miles from the ship location and its now 6 days and waiting, Ontrac is below standard company. I am not happy with this process.
I lost my phone a few days ago (an unfortunate event, but something that happens and a phone carrier could reasonably anticipate in the realm of possibilities).
I ordered a replacement SIM card that was delivered very quickly. So far so good.
But then, the problems begin. To activate the SIM card, they send a text to your phone number. Not very convenient when you... lost your phone.
Then, I get on a call with customer service. They ask you to give 5 local numbers you called recently. Again, not exactly the kind of data you have readily available on hand when YOU HAVE LOST YOUR PHONE (duh). I explained the situation. They said they would bypass these guidelines, and it would be solved in the next few hours. And then nothing.
I call again, and again, they ask for these 5 local numbers. I was lucky enough that I had another phone and call data somehow synchronized (God bless Apple!) between the two phones. But otherwise, what are you supposed to do? I guess your phone number is just lost forever, as they literally have no other process to verify your identity.
I have been 2 years with Mint mobile. Not anymore.
This the worst mobile connection I have ever had, drop calls, delayed texts, and No GPS most of the time, and BTW if you sign up and pay in advance for 1 year, you only have 7 days otherwise if you try to cancel after that they take your money and No refund. Stay away from this very cheap and worthless Mobile network.
Mint mobile never sent me SIM cards, sent me wrong ones and then won't give me my money back after 3 months of trying to work with them. Terrible terrible service. If they say they're going to do something, they won't get it done. DON'T GET MINT MOBILE.
I got tricked by $15 unlimited so I paid 3 month, turns out $40 is paying 3 month ahead, I was paying $33 and had balance on my phone, I paid that in full only to find their Bait and switch strategy, and now I cannot event have their agent to cancel my number transfer, awful experience, do not make the same mistake.
I have received 80 telemarketing calls since I switched to mintmobile. Someone in their establishment is making extra $ selling our phone numbers. I'm leaving ASAP.

Had Mint Mobile for almost a year and the coverage was relatively good in larger cities but did not have any in smaller cities / towns. This was to be expected though, they tell you this within their Coverage map. We recently moved out of state to a location that was said to have had good to decent coverage, however, I hardly received any. Something to be wary of.
The price was really hard to beat and I'm typically connected to wifi anyhow, which is why we've stayed this long. Ultimately decided to switch to another carrier to get better coverage and upgrade to a new phone without paying for the entire cost immediately.
For those looking to make any cancellations, read the fine print thoroughly. We cancelled under the assumption that we could recoup the unused data from our automatic 3-month payment (had about 1-2 months worth of data unused). Come to find out that they will not refund any terminations past the 45 days upon the purchase even though you're paying for it monthly, quarterly, or annually depending on the plan you choose.
Ultimately, you get what you pay for. Price is hard to beat, service / coverage is mediocre. Customer support is great / easy to get ahold of. Refund policy is garbage.
Joined Mint Mobile January 2022 with a Motorola 5G Stylus (2021). Before I joined I entered my IMEI # to see compatibility on the home page, and it came back 100% LTE & 5G Compatible. Then I went to "https://www.mintmobile.com/features/wifi-calling-text/" to see if I was WIFI Calling & Texting Compatible and it came back Yes on Both. Fast forward 18 Months, I've now lost 5G & Wifi Calling & Texting. When I test compatibility now on the Mint mobile website, I am no longer 5G Calling, Wifi Calling or Texting Compatible. Stay clear of Mint Mobile so you don't get burned like me. I am now locked in for a year with a 5G phone that has no 5G capability with this carrier any longer. The graphic used to say I was 5G LTE Excellent. I don't understand how they get a way with doing that. I'm sure it was T-Mobile who dumped me and who knows how many others! Mint is a subsidiary of T-Mobile and they do what ever they want and not beholding to anyone!

The worst decision I ever made with my phone line. For the first month everything was fine so I subscribed to one year plan, after 3/4 months everything stop working. I'm not able to make phone calls, internet data is in 2g (impossible to use) and constant frustration of people trying to send me messages and I don't receive them. MINT IS THE WORST! In the attempt to save money with Mint you compromised your health with all the problems they give you.
And now I'm changing operator, And Mint will NOT REFUND ME THE SIX MONTHS I'D PAID IN ADVANCE! Don't do the same mistake STAY AWAY FROM MINT MOBILE

My old phone lost the network connection. I thought it was the sim card. I bought a new phone and contacted Mint to get a new sim card. I was told that no CSR could see my account because I had 2 part verification. My password doesn't work and now my phone doesn't work to receive a code. On at least two occasions, I've given them my name, email, address, and 5 numbers from my call log to prove my identity. I've been waiting a FULL WEEK for Mint to unlock my account, send me a new sim card, and activate it to my number. I finally received the sim card, but they still say my account is locked, so they can't activate the card or transfer my number to a different carrier. Apparently, they restarted the process of unlocking my account yesterday (6 days into this ordeal). I was just told that it might be 48 hours from that restart before the account is unlocked. For this entire time, I've been unable to use my phone or transfer my number to a different provider.
If I could give Mint 0 stars, I would.

I work for a non-profit that helps victims of domestic violence so I am frugal with our funds. My husband switched over to Mont Mobile so I thought I would try it for our agency. Unfortunately there were issues with the phone that I was trying to transfer the service to and it didn't work. I contacted Mint Mobile customer service to cancel the subscription, (I paid for a year in advance) and they basically said "too bad". I am very disappointed in their service and lack of cooperation to refund my money. All I asked for was 11 months refunded back to me as it had been less than a week and I was agreeable to paying for the first month even though I NEVER used their service. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND MINT MOBILE
First, Custom Service script is to do the least they can and will hang up on you.DO NOT PAY FOR the yearly service. Sure, it will work for the first month, trap you in past their return time and boom...NO MORE SERViCE you paid for that hasn't come up yet. Plan to spend your quality time to deal with ignorant thrives that are trained to steel your MONEY and TIME.

Worst carrier ever i never write reviews but i had to on this one because they need to be shut down seriously, i have never been so stressed to the point where i cry talking on the phone. They have the worse customer service ever. Never again like ever… save urself the trouble because they suck. And none of the customer service representatives can speak english correctly which makes it almost impossible to understand them on the phone and they dont have a store… like literally the worst experience ever. They gave me wrong information like 5 times and i was supposed to get my sim card days ago but it still hasn't arrived… ive been without service for 3 days because they said my sim card would come the next day so i went ahead and transferred my old number to mint… then come to fund out they didn't expedite my package so its taking its sweet time. "Got taken for over $100 by Mint Mobile. Please do not use this company. The service never worked from the beginning. I spoke with 10 different representatives from mint that all gave different reasons for why the service wasn't working. I asked for refund under the 7 days but was told the reason my service doesn't work is bc the tower was down. It would be back up in 48 hours. 48 hours later still not working. I chatted with them over 10 times. They switched me to a different tower. Phone still didn't work. So here I am 18 days in and still no service. So frustrating that I then told I'll request a refund I'm on your side they should have honored this. I was told I would receive a text message once approved. I received a text saying it was declined bc it was pass 7 days and that's their policy. ! I paid for 90 days of service and I'm still not getting service. Then I'm told we'll credit you back. How am I gonna be credited back and I cant get any service. So basically I'm gonna stay stuck with no service but they'll credit me back but cant figure out how to fix it or why I am not getting service. The last draw was them asking me to put my sim card into another phone. I dont have another phone so how is that gonna work. No matter how good the price looks dont waste your time. You will be kicking yourself later that you didn't listen to all of these poor reviews. Look at the reviews on trustpilot, they are all very similar bc these people are all telling the truth about their experiences."

I would give them a lower rating than one star. I prepaid for 3 months of service in April 2022. It worked fine. Then I prepaid for a year of service in July 2022. It immediately started dropping calls and in early October it stopped working completely. This was our main number that we had for many years. I spent many hours with their support people. They sent a new SIM card after saying they would 2 other times. It did not work. After a month of endless calls, we talked to a support person and told them we needed the number to work. We asked if we could port the number to another carrier and then get them to issue us a new number so we could continue to work on the problem. They agreed and we did this. When we called to get a new number, we were told the account had been closed and also told that they were sorry we were misled. We spent over $260 and they refuse to consider a refund since we are past the 7 day period of refunds. This is a pretty convenient rule (for Mint). We did everything in good faith. It is not our fault we had no working service after the first few months.
