Very clunky website

The website is very poorly designed. I click on validate and nothing happens. It throws you out when you finish filing transfer request. Horrible. What a waste of time.

It should be illegal to hold ones money hostage through a service like this. They do everything they can to pingpong you around their legalese leyden fine print and not tell you where fees apply. "See section 4, part 20, subheading (f), now go online. All to find your "fee schedule". Why wouldn't you want that clearly stated when you first rammed this piece of garbage down my throat? So you can surreptitiously apply fees wherever you can and hope I'm not sharp enough to catch the tiny subtext that says you're charging me $3 to move my pay into my real bank account. I will be very seriously looking into taking legal action against this company and my employer, though I assume they have an army of lawyers who have done everything just to skim the edge of legality with this foul, corporate robbery.

Bad tech support

Have had their app downloaded for 4 years, this past year it doesn't work, called customer service,and they said, " tech is working on it" what a joke, changing banks,this company is lame and liars!

DO NOT trust them with your money, ever. As soon as you get the money on the card, wait til you get the full amount before activating it, & then transfer it elsewhere IMMEDIATELY. It's so incredibly unsecured & should not be trusted. Believe all the terrible reviews - including this one - you will be highly upset, otherwise.

Closed my account on May 11.
Received an email from solspark.com (the agent on the phone does not know what this is!) on May 15 stating that my check was sent out ($12,818)
Called them on the 28,31 may, 2,6 june to find out. I was told that there was a "delay" with the checks (never got sent out) aldı the agent couldn't tell me the reason of the delay.
Called them on June 9. Was told that my check was sent out on 6/7
Asked why an email notification was not sent out. Agent on the phone told me that he was asking the same question to himself :((
He told me that I should be receiving the check within 7-10 days of sent date, which brings me to June 14-17,2023.

The stupid app stopped letting me login suddenly for no reason. I broke my phone but now the app wont let me access my money. The worst part about my experience is the fact that I can't even use my card-! I hate this company so much at this point. Not to forget that the app was sending push notifications for no reason for two entire days. It wasn't really anything serious, BUT, It was still one every 10 minutes and very angering. Tried to get to the app through the internet, and guess what... THERE ARE TWO WEBSITES. I don't know which one is real, but either way, both are still denying my entry to MY MONEY

I went to deposit $119 Connecticut income tax checks refund it was denied after I wrote a VOID across the front as asked, now I have to try to have resent, called customer service and got absolutely no help, DO NOT DEPOSIT A CHECK INTO THIS CARD

Fraud

I used my card at a atm in a wawa convience store. My card was compromised with someone scamming my information, and emptying out my account.I sent in my dispute, and in one day they denied it. How can you investigate in 1 day. They told me it would take 45 to 90 days. So I'm about to call the better business bureau, and get everybody that's possible to get involved to receive my money back. I'm giving fair warning not to use this company. I've put in a appeal, and if they do not do there work that they are supposed to, we will be going to court. I work to hard for my money.

A few years ago, I received a check from my insurance company for like $225.00. I should have just taken it to Wal-Mart to cash it but I was lazy and decided to use my money network app instead. Wrong move. I followed all the steps and when it was complete, the send me and email denying the check. So the next day u go to cash it at Walmart and they said it was already cashed. I was confused. I call money network, explain my situation, and they told me they cashed it but they couldn't put the money on my card and it was huge Hassel just to get my money back from them. 5 or 6 phone calls and a week later, I still have no money and I was so frustrated and upset, I gave up. Don't trust them, they have 1 or 0 star ratings everywhere for their customer service. Bad Egg. I only picked one star because the wouldn't let me skip it.

Can't get my money
November 7, 2020

So money network put a hold on my card since before covid. I've waited 4 months to get my 2100 dollars that I can't get. I'm a minor and the lady told my mom to get a notarized paper saying I have no mail to prove my address because I'm a minor and have a attorney send it in so I can get my money. Still haven't got it. And it's been 6 months now! Wouldn't even give it 1 star but I had to

My money network card was hacked and used at an ATM which I don't understand because I've had the card in my possession at all times, I reported it, they sent a new card but somehow the new card stayed linked to the cancelled card. There is major corruption going on with that company, we think they're selling duplicate cards. They are giving me the runaround but they don't know who they messed with, I'll get to the bottom of this mess. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Switch to a real bank!

If you are being paid on a Walmart MoneyNetwork Pay card, do yourself a favor and switch to a real bank. I tried to dispute a double-charge and was denied. The reason for denial? I had a history with the merchant. Of course I have a history with the merchant! I buy things from there often. That doesn't mean that their computers didn't make a mistake. The merchant even told me that their system didn't have a record of the double-charge, yet my transaction history clearly showed it. They obviously treated my dispute as a potential fraud case and didn't even bother reading the form that I had submitted indicating that I was double-charged.

BAD COMPANY! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Is Money Network a SCAM?

I have tried multiple times to activate my debit card for the CA tax refund without success. I am either told the number I entered is incorrect (it is not) or the call simply ends. I have also been unable to reach a human being on any of their phone lines, despite the fact the numbers are listed as CUSTOMER SERVICE. They also don't provide an EMAIL address for help, but only a (snail) MAIL address. What reputable company behaves like this?

These people are impossible to get a hold of. Their "Customer Service" line is always busy and you will be put on hold for hours and STILL never talk to an agent. Whoever decided to use these guys for this California Middle Class Tax Refund is not smart and is in fact probably a dummy. This just shows you how far gone this state of California is now. GOOD LUCK GETTING YOUR MONEY IF YOUR CARD HAS ISSUES, YOU WILL NEVER GET THROUGH THEIR PHONE LINE BECAUSE NO ONE CARES AND THEY PROBABLY JUST IGNORE IT. 0 STARS SHOULD BE AN OPTION FOR MONEY NETWORK.

So I've been skimmed and it's taking forever to get refunded when it's clear by the withdrawals OVERNIGHT that I never do amongst 16 transactions. The refund is taking forever and the app sucks every prick that works for em …but gonna get a lawyer involved cuz this is bull$#*!

I believe that there is inside activity between Money Network and wakeupthemount.com and vndstc.com. I was fraudently charged twice for transactions I did not commit to. Money Network customer service agents are incoherent and not helpful. Walmart is less than helpful. I will be contacting other avenues to get mtly concerns addressed

The biggest winner of this California Middle Class Refund is Money Network. It benefits very little taxpayers. I did not receive my debit card until March of 2023 after weekly calls to automated answering systems and have to # this and that. Every week from early November 2022 I spent hours on the phone. If I clocked those hours, I would have earned more money than this measly refund. Why would the State of California do business with this shady company that forces us to give so much personal information. In the midst of it, I was hit by an authorized credit inquiry from a third party that I am fighting to have it removed. This never happened to me in the past, but I would not be surprised if this is not due to my relentless pursuit of this issue with this company that I feel have invaded so much of my personal private information. The problem is that the Franchise Tax Board sent me a 1099 for a refund that I did not receive. That's why I felt I had no choice but to pursue it if I am obligated to file it under my federal and state taxes.

My debit card of $250 had a zero balance first time I tried to use it. I spend hours on the phone trying to talk to a human but never happened. Liars and cheaters. AVOID THEM!
