I wanted to transfer all my funds to my Bank of America account… it was a large amount so at first it all went well transfers over the phone then one day I couldn't make another transfer … I called they said maybe I have to wait a few days because of too many transfers … well he was wrong cuz that didn't help then I called back and they mailed me checks to use checks … checks by the way that I have never seen anything like these before I had to call and confirm the check with the amount so they could give me the transaction number and issuer number so I could write it on the bottom left of the check which means that money was already taken out my account and put into that check… guess what Bank of America didn't know what to do with that bizarre check they have never seen either … so I just gave them my debit card and turns out my bank can take money right out the account with the card something the representatives at money network failed to tell me was an option and would have saved me all this headache to begin with because they have no idea what options you have … then I called to cancel the check and now I have to wait 3 to 5 business days so that the money from the check goes back into my money network account so I can then go to Bank of America and transfer with the debit card.: jumping through hoops to get my money out is not the word … worst bank I have ever seen complete headache and just stressing me out all this month trying to get my money out … zero stars if you ask me
I have only been with Money Network for a couple of months I have already had two charges on my card that I have disputed which they say they denied my claim because not having enough information they have all the information that they need cuz they processed and let the charge go through on their end which took money out of my account as far as I know it could be them anyway I asked what I needed to do what the appeal process was what the company cuz they feel like I need to investigate it I thought that's what they were there for anyhow they will not send me an email they will not type me a letter explaining to me what needs to go into an appeal who the business was because I don't have any idea who it was I didn't make the charge but they refuse to put anything in writing even had one lady and customer service representative too I believe she was a supervisor tell me that it wasn't part of her job I tried to get an explanation of what her job duties were obviously customer support is not one of them beware of this card stay away I can't emphasize that enough because they will take your money and blame it on somebody else I want to try to get something done through law enforcement my local law enforcement my local Better Business Bureau because this company needs to be stopped they're nothing but Crooks may God help us
Oct 8 2022, the state sent the money to Money Network Financial On Dec 12th I received the debit card and activated it. Went to my bank on 12/15th, can only take $600, went back next day12/16th to take balance of $450. Card shows zero balance, no more funds available. I called the customer service number, spent over 45 minutes on the phone before I got a real person on the line. My debit card was used at Costco in San Juan. How that happened with the debit card in my possession and a pin number I assigned is beyond me. I was told that they will investigate and once resolved, they will send me a new card. Feb 4, the new debit card came, I activated on Feb 5th assigned a new PIN. I checked balance and it still says ZERO. I called customer service again on Feb 7th, after 45 minutes, Jonaise picked up the call only to tell me that the new debit card will show ZERO until the investigation is completed. I asked to speak to a supervisor, was put on hold and after 10 minutes the call was disconnected.
With all the problem reviews we have on this site, should the attorney general of California look into this and help its citizens get their money from this company? What other recourse do we have?
I have never encountered a company as bad as this in my life. WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO!
If so, MoneyNetwork is the next to be mentioned.
My experience with MoneyNetwork has been anything but good.
To begin my list of difficulties with these scammers, let me start with this.
Upon payday on 7/9/20 $1,163.57 was deposited into my account.
I saw the amount above and was happy to be paid, but even then I knew something was not right about the account balance.
Looking back now I see that there were so many problems.
Such as the amount listed above was $326 short of what was supposed to be my account balance.
On top ever day following my pay day on 7/9/20 my account balance has fluctuated by $100's.
Let me give you an example: I went to Target yesterday and I purchased a car vaccuum cleaner for $31.97.
My account balance before that purchase was $797.51.
My account balance following the vacuum cleaner purchase was $501.32.
Thats a big difference!
So on 7/11/20 I contact the MoneyNetwork toll number.
This fraudulent company states on their website that they have 24/7 customer service. I quickly discover that their 24/7 customer service statement is false.
I stay on the phone for 20 minutes, and during that 20 minutes all that is being repeated is, "We are unable to process your request, we are transferring you to the next available agent." On and on, like a broken record that never stops.
At this point I am angry. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and I want my money. So I go to my search engine and type in "corporate money network".
Nothing pops up, besides addresses to the MoneyNetwork home page.
My heart is beating rapidly, and then I search "MoneyNetwork reviews", and I immediately know that I've been scammed.
That is how I am here today, to warn anyone and everyone to stay away from this company. Tell your employers, and your family and friends to be aware. MoneyNetwork is American Greed Incarnate.
I have had money network for many years as the card that the business which I sub contract for that deposits our weekly pay onto. Haven't had many issues until recently. I recieved a call from someone claiming to be in the frauds dept asking me if I authorized a purchase in Florida at a Walmart for 150.00. I said absolutely not. I live in ny. He says that's why we flagged it and are calling you. He said my account was compromised and I need a new card mailed out. He asked me some personal info and says new card will be expedited in a few days should arrive. I waited 2 weeks and nothing. I call money network back and they say we have no record of you speaking with anyone. They ask for personal info again and say a new card is coming. Fast fwd to this week which is a month later after receiving a new card things go well until I get my weekly pay deposited at 1230am not an hour later I go to atm to remove it. Nothing. No money is in there. I do see a transcheck purchase for 350 on the transactions which I didn't make. I call customer service immediately and say someone made an unauthorized purchase on my account and I want the money back. At first the woman tells Me im sorry that happened we will refund it back to your account in 24 -48 hours. We will send a new card also. I call today to get tracking number after 24 hours and this woman says oh you have to fill out a form and wait 10 days to see if we decide to refund your 350. But your new card with nothing on it is on the way. Like this is how you run a business? You let people steal money out of accounts and then tell them it's ok we're refunding it back. Then say oh sorry you need to fill out forms and wait until we decide if you get it back. What a joke this place is. SCAM artists. Don't ever believe them when they call you out of the blue and say this is the frauds dept. Hang up.
As far as getting money on the card. No problem for me. As far as using the card no problem for me.
But calling customer service is a 0 in Customer Service Skills.
Called them in April to put a dispute in for fraud. Customer service Rep said will not put in a dispute until I fill out paperwork, and mail it back. Never received paperwork.
So went online printed up paperwork, and faxed back. Put my phone number on it.
Called on 6/19/23 to check on status of dispute, that I faxed them.
1st customer service rep put me on mute and never came back.
2nd customer service rep picked up but never answered.
3rd customer service rep transferred me to a supervisor at my request. Automated system said wait for next representative. No one ever picked up.
4th customer service rep said they did receive my fax. But nothing has been done with it. That a dispute was never put in the system. That before I can fill out paperwork, a dispute from customer service has to be put in the system, then fill out paperwork. But when I faxed dispute, my phone number is listed on dispute form. But no one called to say that. So when I called two months ago to do that. I guess customer service rep either was lazy and wants to get paid to do absolutely nothing. Or wasn't trained right.
But before I could get case number. They disconnected.
5th customer service rep took forever just to give the case number.
Mind you all five calls how long that took. Listening to their automated system putting your information in again and again. Then on the phone each time with a customer service rep giving my information over and over again. A maybe 15-30 time that should of been waiting. Took probably at least 1-2 hours. I didn't add up the time. And the 5th caller said wait for the survey. But hung up on me before I even was able to do a survey.
Customer Service needs better training. Worst ever.
Answer: It is a scam. No matter how much information you give about yourself they still will lie to you and send you a dispute sayin your claim is closed
Answer: My employer chose to deposit my pay check to this card, because she did not get a hold of my direct deposit info in time.
Answer: There is no getting in contact with customer service. On their website they state that they have 24/7 customer service, but I have yet to experience the validity of that statement.
