Im furious, awful company to ask for help from. Movers called to say they were going to be late. Then call again with another delay. We waited an hour before they finally showed up. Then they walked around the house as we told them what they needed to do. Then they complained about a box being too heavy. I have a dolly for just that and told them to use it if anything is too heavy for them. They told me to write down the address for them to move the stuff to. As I wrote down the address they were gone. These people just walked off the job. I'm very angry as I have a day left before my family is thrown out and I needed help to move some stuff before that happens. NEVER work with Cadillac Moving Services. Absolutely ridiculous
This company is terrible! Do not use them. What was supposed to be a simple move less than 1 mile away (one-bedroom apartment) everything boxed ended up being 3+ hours with 2 men and one acted like he had never picked up a box in his life or where the top end was! They charged my account 'willy nilly' amounts for the extra hours that I didn't approve. I am in the process of getting that rectified. They tore my (once good) sofa on the arm and flipped a box upside down and ruined a rain jacket I had in there. Everyone here is giving bad news - it's not just me.
I've used MovingHelp for 2 years and it's been great. It works like Priceline or Amazon and it connects me with the best and cheapest movers available. I personally recommend to filter the cheapest movers first and then find the company with a five star rating from more than 100 customers. I have never been disappointed.
This website is helpful in presenting possible movers but has very bad customer service and usability. Before you book with any company, make sure you do your own research about them (don't rely on the websites reviews) because they won't allow reviews on companies that screw you and don't show up. There is zero accountability for these companies on this website... no way to file complaints or anything.
MovingHelp is trying to be the Uber of moving help. However, they fall very short on what really matters, customer service and customer experience. When you have a problem with your movers, the only thing MovingHelp does is send an "urgent" email to your designated movers. As I experienced, their "urgent" email did absolutely nothing. My movers still didn't show up. Ultimately I had to cancel with the selected movers and reschedule with another one, costing me and my family 2 nights in a hotel, plus food. MovingHelp excuses themselves by saying it is not them, it is the movers. They take no accountability in being your service provider nor do they issue any penalty when movers fail to show up. Frankly, I'm surprised U-Haul supports this company since this company was advertised by U-Haul. Again, I think this leaves a poor image for U-Haul as well since I booked everything there. If you are listening U-Haul, your reputation is being tarnished by such poor service.
I used moving help when I first moved to Denver and had an amazing experience. When I went to move again with them it was completely different. The movers did not call or show up. I had to go with a local company who saved me.
I hired 2 guys from Freedom Movers (manager Kelly Scarborough) and the guys literally broke my brand new manicure table. It cost me over $400 and I had just gotten a couple of months prior and the guys ripped off the top of the table which had been screwed into the bottom. Now my table is wobbly and unstable and when I reached out to Kelly the manager, he assured me he'd get back to me even but he has since ignored me, forwarded my calls, answered my calls and heard it was me and then hung up. I've been nothing but respectful to Kelly and he continues to take advantage because he doesn't want to be held accountable. My issue with Freedom Movers is they have no way to hold these moving companies accountable so ideally they can break whatever they want and if you can't afford to hire a lawyer to fight it, then they can get away with it. I have had an awful experience using these guys mainly due to how Kelly the manager made me feel like he was going to help me handle the situation and then simply tried to just pretend the situation never happened and ignore me. Completely unprofessional and it makes it hard to trust any moving company moving forward without knowing their policy on damage caused by the company. You would assume that they would cover the damages but it seems that's not the case.
I paid money for service but provider did not show up the whole day but was in touch over messages and then suddenly disappeared. Movinghelp website updates status of my order is completed. I was shocked and wrote 20 emails to movinghelp customer support and they create resolution ticket foe our satisfaction and after 14 days they will send you email saying they can't help by pointing out agreement point no 9. It says they can't help. What a hitech cheating. Be ware Sony loose your hard faught money!
I hired clean cut movers through uhauls moving helpers. It has been the worst moving experience I've ever had. They trashed most of my items with no compensation. Justin Corey is nothing more than a con man. Gave me the run around for months and moving helpers do nothing to hold them accountable.
I just want to say very unprofessional please don't waste your time money energy nothing on them. They need to be reported and close down from all the reviews that I read. Times are too hard right now to be going through unnecessary bull s***
The companies on this site are fly by night. Some hire convicted felons to do the job. There's no insurance protection with these companies and Uhaul says it's not responsible for damages. If the company removes their listing you can't even file a claim. Look for a reputable company and pay the extra money. Several of my items were damaged from poor packing by untrained people. The company was Able Moving out of Hayward Ca.
Really horrible company. I paid for 2 movers and only 1 showed up so I ended up helping to move everything myself. I even paid them extra for flights of stairs (that I carried my couch, tv, boxes up...) and tipped the one mover well because I assume the lack of organization and terrible service was not his fault. Malicke Cole should be ashamed as he has never answered a single phone call or email - do not use this awful company it's such a scam.
Moving help did arrange for two great mover teams to deliver and pack my U-boxes at my home and to deliver and unload them at my destination. However, I was disappointed by the bait-and-switch promise of a small "refund" when I left a review. No refund either time, and no response to several customer service emails. You cannot speak to anyone on the phone, either, which was important to me because U-Haul screwed up my order number. How do they earn their income - by just scheduling movers? Big deal. I could have done the same by finding someone on Angie's list. Won't use them again.
You are completely rolling the dice by using this pitiful excuse for a "service". My movers never showed up, customer service did absolutely nothing to help other than tell me I could cancel my order and find someone else, and then they took my fee to use their terrible service. The fact that they can get away with this is appalling.
Veteran Movers stole my money because they never came to my home to do the job. I was contacted by Joe that verified all my information and asked for the payment code. They should have been there at 10am on 11/5/20 but they didn't show. Calls and texts were unanswered. Moving Help backs these thieves and won't hold them accountable.
After the completion of the move, we noticed several valuables missing from bedroom dresser drawers. This was reported to the police and a case number has been established. I hired Less Stress Moving and Cleaning company. The owners, John Harbison and Karen Petty, showed little or no concern about the incident as they did not answer the phone or respond to calls or texts. There must be a better source for moving help!
Movers never showed up. They never called or text the day before. MovingHelp.com washes their hands of any responsibility with respect to what happens after you pay. They charge you upfront and it takes a long time to get your money back. Millers Honest Moving Company - they are great, fast and affordable.
Before booking I made sure they had a 24-hour in advance cancellation policy because my new apartment was not official yet. I ended up having to cancel the moving help and it was the most confusing, frustrating process where I had to call several times and create an online account and hunt down a code to read over the phone. A couple days after I had supposedly cancelled, sure enough my card was still charged. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get a refund. They claimed they were never paid, but my bank account says otherwise. Supposedly I will get my refund in 7-10 business days, but I could really use that $200. It's hard waiting for a refund on a charge that should have never happened.
As a moving professional for 20+ years, I signed up for movinghelp.com over a month ago as a service provider just to get a little extra work for some of my guys during the slower times of the month. I was told I would be reviewed and activated in 5 days. Well this is day 37. I have sent numerous emails to them and received 1 reply back. "We approve companies in the order they apply." Well, I advise anyone to use this service to stay away, there are other labor service sites available, you just need to look online. I was approved on another site in 4 days, and have already booked 7 jobs in the 4 days I've been live on the site. If you can't get anywhere with a company you're going to make money for, I'd stay away. Especially reading some of the customer reviews in the Dallas Metro Area. Nothing but trouble!
I used this site to find movers. They were absolutely terrible and halfway through the day, I found out the man i hired to move my stuff and drive my U-haul truck did not even have a driver's license. Apparently MovingHelp.com does not provide even the most basic vetting of people who offer services on their site. Stay away from this company, do your own research and hire people by word of mouth. My moving experience was terrible and at some point I thought I might have a stroke. Please spare yourself the stress and frustration.
Answer: Do not use these people. They don't care if they ruin your furniture. They are very inexperienced, and are a total rip off! Don't believe what you read about them on MovingHelp, that's completely false!
Answer: A good moving company is Almighty Movers. I used them before and they are professional, did a great job, and do not overcharge. I about to move again, and will be using them again for sure! You can count on them for help.
Answer: Run do not use this websight they will rip you off and there is no one to talk to never see your money back.
