This company does not typically respond to reviews
I've used MovingHelp for 2 years and it's been great. It works like Priceline or Amazon and it connects me with the best and cheapest movers available. I personally recommend to filter the cheapest movers first and then find the company with a five star rating from more than 100 customers. I have never been disappointed.
U-Haul Moving Help Experience Feedback I had a negative experience with U-Haul Moving Help. I hired a moving company named RA Transport, owned by an individual named Ryan, through U-Haul's moving help service. We scheduled their services 17 days in advance, and they confirmed they would be there. We agreed on the job's timing, but communication issues arose as the moving day approached. The day before the scheduled move, we tried contacting them via text with no response. After calling them, we managed to confirm the move for the next day. However, on the day of the move, they failed to show up. Despite our attempts to reach them, our calls went unanswered and went straight to voicemail. Even after trying from another phone, we were unable to get through to them. It seemed like they had blocked us deliberately and did not respond to our text messages. I believe U-Haul should establish clear standards for service providers to prevent such disappointing experiences.
This was the worst moving experience I could imagine. The sent some crew out called camouflage moving. They were unapologetic in being late and when I ask the lead guy not to deny my wife's credenza, he said I should have wrapped it and that damage happens when moving. Then he immediately say he was leaving. His helper flashed a gang sign and threatened me. This is what Uhaul sent to my house. Never again...
In the beginning all was great - I paid, received confirmation and was scheduled be a friendly person who confirmed the movers- Grab nd Go Movers. They were going to be at my house at noon. They messaged me they were running late, then at 1:15 almost done, 2:30 almost there- then crickets. Nothing. No response nothing. Half my stuff was in the yard and rain was coming. The next day a flash flood warning and I was screwed. Could ding other movers that late. Just don't do it. No one is accountable and they are ghosts. DONT DO IT!
Short and to the point. I used this service to move from Ca to GA. I had to change the dates as I was pending orders for the job. This company owes me $585.00 to this date. The worst part was having 2 ex-convicts show up with no packing or loading experience. Many of my items were broken/damaged. Uhaul claims no accountability and neither does the sub company. I would go with a reputable company next time, even if it costs more. You can always write off the move if it's over 50 miles for a new job. I will never use again nor recommend this service, EVER!
They deserve negative stars. These people literally charge your account, never refund the money they took that never had a job done. And to top it off, they won't give you your money back. They literally delete the first order you made in your jobs' tab. They're thieves. Do NOT do business with them.
Booked two guys for a simple trailer load of a one bedroom apartment (I have a heart problem so I dont tend to move stuff much). Guy texts me on the morning of the move that they dont work in the rain and we can reschedule for 'tomorrow'. NO! I drove 4 hours to meet these guys at my daughters apartment. They said the ramps get slippery. No ramps... just a trailer. Wanted to post a review where I booked, but you cant review if you didn't pay. On top of it, MovingHelp sent me an email saying that its not their fault, they are independent, they have NOTHING to do with any of it. If you put me together with these clowns, you have something to do with it. All I wanted was a way to warn others that this company that was contracted, failed to show... but there is no way to do so
I'm so glad I didn't fall for this. I got a sense something was off when they asked me to pay with Paypal before anyone showed up to do the job. When I questioned the policy they said I should look at their reviews. Glad I did. Then I received several nasty texts from the company calling me cheap, saying they didn't need my job and that I should "hire crackheads from CL". Super professional. I hired movers that have a good reputation and don't require upfront Paypal payments before showing up.
Do not work for this company. I know someone that worked for them and a customer lied one time and said they were a no show despite CLEAR documentation that it was not; moving help immediately kicked the provider off the platform. With ten five star reviews they were kicked off over one customer lying. It is disgusting.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE THIS SITE AS A PROVIDER OR CONSUMER
1. The movers were triple booked, even though they showed as "available" on the movinghelp.com website.
2. The movers never showed up.
3. I attempted to request a refund BUT... movinghelp.com has no listed phone number. No chat feature. No easy way to complain that a mover did not show up as contracted to do so.
4. The day after the movers did not show up, my credit card was charged for the full price. I WAS CHARGED FOR SERVICES NEVER PERFORMED...
I will NEVER EVER do business with this company again. I like it in theory (finding affordable moving help) but the execution of the business plan is abhorrent. Absolutely stay away from this. U/Haul should be ashamed of themselves for subcontracting with movinghelp.com.
Tried to order labor help and our credit card was charged 6 times and no order for labor went through. Contacted these guys and they said there was no problem with their web site, try again. We waited two days and tried again and same thing happened, no order went through but credit card charged. Obviously they don"t want to stay in business with their lousy customer service and faulty web site.
The absolute worse experience. We hired moving help from movinghelp.com through the UHAUL portal and it's a scam. You pay for help in advance at the web site, then you're told to confirm 24 hours in advance. Then on the day of the move, no one shows up. You call the the moving company, in our case Let's Move Out (they're in Columbia SC), and they lie. I was told "they should be there in 15 mins" but they never showed up and Let's Move Out stopped responding to my messages. The big solution from movinghelp.com was to offer a refund, which, frankly, I had no intention of paying for the service that never was. When they reached out to the mover, to relay my accusation that they were a scam, that's when I received nasty responses from the moving company. Not one time was there an apology or explanation. It's clear this is a common complaint. One more thing, you have to PAY in order to leave a review. That obviously skews the tone of the reviews you see. This is a scam.
Tip for consumers:
You can find labor on Facebook. Pay the labor once the move is complete, not in advance like this company.

None. Working on my refund.
Amazing deal and company. They really live up to their name and were really fast with the loading and unloading of the items. Very generous and always asked questions before doing any sort of action. I would recommend using them again if I ever needed to move again.
I cancelled my appointment and was told that the money they had charged my credit card would be returned, but they only returned part of what they charged me. There website says that you can cancel your orders and they will return your money, so why didn't they return my money? It's frustrating. I would try to hire movers without going through them. They didn't provide a lot of value for me, they just stole my money.
I got movers through this site for a move. I put in the 3 flights of stairs they would use and oddly the selections did not change. Realistically, the price should have gone up as should the suggested number of movers. The movers, (2 person crew), I selected showed up and were surprised there were stairs. It took them twice as long as my reservation because the stairs were not accounted for and U-Haul suggested a 10-foot truck and it took two trips to the new place. My couch and wouldn't fit with the other things. If U-Haul suggests a truck size, I strongly advise you to do one size up. The movers were awesome! They stayed twice as long and the lady next in line on their schedule was kind enough to push back her move. movinghelp.com does a horrible job of figuring out what you will need for a move. Like U-Haul, I suggest adding an extra person and more time.
Used these guys as a contractor for moving. Movers cancelled two weeks ago. You can't reach moving help because they have no customer service. They have a chat that no one responds to. Need a refund and needing to go through Uhaul to help with that but they are having problems as well. Never use this company... horrible all the way around
Contracted this service for an unload of my effects in Kamloops in late April. Can-ex Truck was the contracted company. I had an extremely hard time reaching Doug Barrett from Can-Ex to confirm unload time. When reached he said he would call me back. He never did. On the day of the unload no-one from Can-Ex showed up and no-one from Can-Ex answered their phone or text message. I had to scramble to find my own help. Can-Ex should never be used for moving assistance of any kind.
I just used this service this weekend to move my daughter out of her college premises into an apartment. I originally ordered 2 men for 2 hours, but 3 showed up. I was not charged extra for the additional man. The young men were very nice and did not waste any time moving her stuff. Nothing was broken. They followed my directions. They kept to their allotted time of 2 hours. I tipped them because I was very pleased with their work and I assumed they were basically working for tips. I would definitely recommend them. I had used this service provided by UHaul 2 years ago and had a similar positive experience.
They were supposed to have arrived on Saturday at 11 am, we had someone waiting outside from 10:30 am. This was moving an elderly lady from an assisted living facility. They were a no show! When we called they told us they were on their way. One hour later, still no show. We called the company back, the guy was so rude and said if we keep calling he is canceling the job. He said he has another two guys coming. Again no show! So two 70 year old adults had to do all the moving into the truck because after we tried calling again, they would not answer the phone.
We found another company that met us at our destination to unload the truck, They are called Always Moving! Call them before you call this company. Worst Customer Service I have ever encountered.
In early July of this year I scheduled moving servie through movinghelp.com online for a price of $545. That service called me that night and said they could not do it for the online price, and it would cost three times as much. I cancelled the service, and scheduled my move through other movers. The charge remained on my card so I reported it as fraudulent. Two months later, my bank returned that money to movinghelp.com on the grounds that movinghelp.com provided my online "terms and services" agreement. This is despite the fact that these services were never rendered. I now have a negative balance of over $500 because I have moved and transferred my funds to another bank.
NO SHOW. NO REVIEW. My confirmed moving help did not show up to perform the service. The cost was refunded, but I was not able to leave a poor review for the company on the movinghelp.com website.
Reviews will not show poor reliability!
Tip for consumers:
Dont use this site!
I hired movers through the MovingHelp.com site and the company that moved my furniture scratched my brand new wood floors. I attempted to use the MovingHelp.com "resolution center" website to work with Mckoymovers.com to resolve the issue and after 2 months of communicating, MovingHelp.com shut down all communication between me and the McKoy movers. I contacted their online chat and "Andrea" - who said she was a manager, and she stated that she can't open a case once its closed. I asked her to assist further because I wasn't able to get a resolution through the vendor and she stated there was nothing else she could do and that I should contact the vendor directly. Of course I had already attempted this with no response for 2 months. This company is very unprofessional. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional. "Andrea" even ended the chat before I was finished with the conversation. DO NOT USE MOVINGHELP.com!
The plan has changed and the operator of Moving Helper that she was responsible to arrange the new schedule for me, She acts was so rude and when I asked her how could I cancel the service? She said I don't know, go and find it by yourself on the website. I was wondering what a reason you are working there If you are not aware of your service you provide it.
Used MovingHelp to hire two movers for two hours. The mover sent one person and they were 2 hours late. The mover told me they would issue a credit for half of the moving charge but never did. I disputed half the charge with my credit card company and MovingHelp refused the dispute. MovingHelp's response was that it wasn't their issue even though my payment went directly to MovingHelp. They appear to be a money laundering scheme for small disreputable movers and told me to sue the the moving vendor they matched me up with. Complete scam!
Tip for consumers:
Do not provide the pay code to the mover no matter what they tell you unless you are 100% satisfied.
But ppl failed to talk about the customers that try to scam the moving providers by booking a quick 2 hr load/unload and swear up and down they just need "help" putting a couple items on the truck. Once you arrive to the origin the customer has absolutely done nothing and than wants the movers pack and loaf the house than unload at the destination all under 2hrs, they knew damn well the job was gonna take more 2hrs, once you inform the customer the job is going to take longer and that cost, the customer throws a freaking tantrum about not wanting to pay extra and questions the movers moving exp and crying about not being professionals boo hoo. Look it at on both sides
