I've used MovingHelp for 2 years and it's been great. It works like Priceline or Amazon and it connects me with the best and cheapest movers available. I personally recommend to filter the cheapest movers first and then find the company with a five star rating from more than 100 customers. I have never been disappointed.
U-Haul Moving Help Experience Feedback I had a negative experience with U-Haul Moving Help. I hired a moving company named RA Transport, owned by an individual named Ryan, through U-Haul's moving help service. We scheduled their services 17 days in advance, and they confirmed they would be there. We agreed on the job's timing, but communication issues arose as the moving day approached. The day before the scheduled move, we tried contacting them via text with no response. After calling them, we managed to confirm the move for the next day. However, on the day of the move, they failed to show up. Despite our attempts to reach them, our calls went unanswered and went straight to voicemail. Even after trying from another phone, we were unable to get through to them. It seemed like they had blocked us deliberately and did not respond to our text messages. I believe U-Haul should establish clear standards for service providers to prevent such disappointing experiences.
We went through U-Haul and Moving help for our move on Monday (08/31). We planned this move and placed the order in 07/03- I state the dates to show they had ample time to get this right. The movers first movers they assigned us canceled an hour before our move. Unfortunately, we had to be out that day. I called Moving Help to get new movers - instead of apologizing they said they have no liability. Essentially we had to place an emergency order where they charged us twice the amount (way out of our budget). The second movers showed up with one guy and a limit of an hour for the mover. WE had to do a lot of the heavy lifting and we don't even get all our belongings moved. He left and we had to hire another trunk to move the rest of our stuff. With the surcharge fee and tips we paid $520 for ONE guy to show up for ONE hour and for US to do all the lifting.
We called Moving Help again and ONCE again they said they had no liability. It's a market place and they can assign whoever that want.
Do yourself a favor and NEVER go through them. Tell your family and friends as well. U-haul also said they have no liability on the events. So basically no one has any professional courtesy or liability.
Will never forget this experience and the stress we went through - oh and the fact we lost $300 on "moving help" when in reality we had to do it ourselves.
It was a struggle and worst experience ever. They dont take any responsibility of contracts they are cutting out and End customer suffers. They dont even confirm with the movers and at least check if they exist even. Movers never got in touch, did not show up and I kept calling them with no one picking it up. I was stranded in a downtown street with my loaded truck. I called them countless times and no one picked up the phone. Movinghelp asked me to cancel and reschedule the labor. Irresponsible, unreliable and very unprofessional. I had plenty of time when I scheduled it, If they were not capable enough of showing up they could have informed ahead of time. Customer care was of no help as well. I kept calling them, dialing their options and emailing them, they gave me same number and asked me to call again and again. They did not even help in arranging another mover. I had to hire locals by overpaying after several hours of struggle. Me and my wife unloaded half of the truck and we paid for parking whole day. My whole day was ruined.
I paid MovingHelp.com for 4 hours of loading and unloading help that consist of 2 Helpers from Texas Moving Center and the movers only helped me for 2 hours. I still had half of the house to move and the destination was only 2 miles apart. I needed 2 trips to complete the move, the movers only did 1 trip, which I still had 2 hours left but the movers left. I contacted MovingHelp and Texas Moving Center and all both told me that they have released the payments to the movers, but they both fell to answer why the movers didn't complete the move when I still had plenty of time paid for them to move my stuff. My bank statement shows MovingHelp received the money, yet MovingHelp don't want to reimburse me half of the money for the half incomplete work. I am a woman and my son who is a minor had to finish moving my stuff all by ourselves, because we had to turn in the uhaul truck that was rented out that day. I would not recommend anyone to use MovingHelp.com for more than 2 hours. Them men at Texas Moving Center only did one load and got the heck on. MovingHelp exact words "Two orders were placed... each location is a two hour minimum". So it was only 1 hour minimum per location used which left me 1 more hour of each location to use. This afternoon, a gentlemen from Texas Moving Center says they will refund me for 1 hour. At least he was human about this.
Doing a cross country move. Hired movers from MovingHelp.com to help me load the Uhaul at Point A, and another set of movers to help unload the Uhaul when I reached my destination at Point B. Point A movers never showed up leaving me high and dry and forcing me to try and load the Uhaul by myself after recently getting out of the hospital. After attempting to call the moving company 3 or 4 times throughout the day and leaving multiple voicemails with them, I called and spoke with Judy at MovingHelp.com, whose only resolution was to cancel Point A's reservation. In doing so she also cancelled Point B's reservation. When I asked if she indeed did cancel both reservations she assured me she did not... she was mistaken. Due to Point A movers complete lack of professionalism (should probably look into a different line of business), I had to hire an entire new set of movers on short notice for the following day, pay for a nights stay at a hotel, and incur other Misc. Charges. And thanks to Judy's error I had to hire new movers for Point B's arrival.
Moral of the story... MovingHelp.com is worthless and unnecessary. Your time and money would be better served if you simply set up your own movers.
I used C&E AFFORDABLE MOVERS and I got money from my account deducted twice and after texting them a few times to try and get one of the amounts refunded he told me to quit harassing him as though I was being a pain for trying to get one of the charges refunded and at one point said he had just bought cigarettes and didn't really have any money and then said I shouldn't be texting him 10 at night though I had texted him at 730 and he actually answered back around 10. Then he texted me around 3 in the morning. It'd be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. I had actually done a good review cause the work was good but not worth paying twice. And Movinghelp is no help whatsoever. I would never use them again and if you ever use C&E AFFORDABLE MOVERS, good luck cause you will need it.
I apologize in advance for the harshness of my words but the two men from top movers were completely unprofessional and came off as amateurs. They were unprepared for the job of moving my appliances to the third floor, even though I mentioned and called them three times to warn them. I rented a large dolly for myself previously before arriving, which they needed to use because they're dolly was incredibly small and inefficient. One of the workers was not wearing steal boots, and we literally had to guide them on how to strap the appliances to the dolly. They also did not bring any moving straps, which is usually a necessity for moving large appliances to the third floor.
They then proceeded to scratch and dent every single one of the appliances they handled which included the fridge, stove, washer, and dryer. They weren't even able to lift my mattress properly, which they promptly dropped, then dragged, finally getting it pierced at the bottom. The dryer was dropped as well because they were unable to strap it to the dolly properly. They were so incompetent and unprofessional that we were afraid that they would damage the rest of our things, so we sent them home only one hour and 15 minutes into the two hour shift we paid for. We got stuck moving the rest of our furniture, along with friends of ours because the job would not have been done properly and promptly.
This was an awful experience and it was not worth in the slightest what we paid for. We feel that the damages alone (not including the unprofessionalism) are not worth the cost of what we paid the movers.
. I booked two workers for 7/16/2022 at 2pm. But even though I waited for many hours, they did not send the workers. I called several times and I waited for long hours, but there was no news of the helper and my belongings were left on the street without any help. I charged the cost of the track and they caused me a lot of stress. Then theyu charged me for the servicesthey never did not provide. This is despite the fact that their apologized on the phone for not sending the workers on time and said that they are canceling my request. After they canceled the request themselfse, they charged my bank account again.
I want to ask them: Are you really well? Do you think that because my English is not good, you can play such an unfair game with me? I am a journalist and I will never let anyone oppress me. I informed my bank about that.
I will definitely be talking to the bank about their fraud and I will definitely consult a lawyer because I feel like I have been seriously hurt emotionally.
The "movers" hired through Uhaul for unloading my truck stole a valuable item $20,000. Has anyone experienced a theft? None of the movers listed are vetted. Uhaul has opened the door to criminals.
Service provider was late, strung me along for 6 hours as I waited in the already-rented Uhaul truck. Was a holiday and impossible to book another service provider at last minute. I am disabled, live on a very limited income, and much of what I was trying to get was needed medical equipment and supplies from storage. Wasted over $100 on the truck because nothing got moved. Movinghelpers web site refuses to do anything to make this experience right, other than to refund the money I had pre-paid to them. I'm out not only the money for the Uhaul truck but also having to pay another $70 for the storage rental for another month. People use Uhaul and their services to SAVE money, NOT waste it.
Oh, and the reason the service provider didn't show up? We were having a typical rainstorm in the area and the tires on his vehicle were "bad." (I checked the weather radar he area he claimed to be in and he sent pics of the so-called "pouring rain." It wasn't bad at all.)
Never using a service provider from them again. It's way too risky.
The day of my move I was woken up from a phone call from moving help to let us know that the two movers that were supposed to be meeting us at the storage facility between 10-11am were having car trouble and would not be able to make it. They apologized and said they would take 15% off of our moving cost and send three movers to help us at 1pm. The move went quickly but after inspecting the furniture, many pieces had horrible dents, scrapes and irreparable damage from being banged against the Uhaul truck or door frames and most things were covered in dirty fingerprints. I WOULD NEVER MOVE WITH MOVINGHELP AGAIN. THEY'RE UNRELIABLE AND CARELESS.
We were under the impression that these people were somewhat knowledgeable about the business of moving. We couldn't have been more wrong! They arrived late, one had no previous packing experience and the other was so out of shape he couldn't lift or carry things up the ramp to put things in the truck. They even told us they weren't "used to moving thing that matched". We informed the "boss" of the contents of the house that were to be moved and contracted for an hour more than he suggested. At the end of this time the movers wanted to leave and go "get some beers". When we told them to "keep on going they would be paid", it was obvious they were not happy. An incompetent became even worse. I had to instruct them to wrap shrink wrap around upholstered furniture and to use furniture pads to protect the delicate wood finishes of the remainder of the furniture. They kept trying to get us to just leave things behind. At the end the loading became to sloppy that we told them to leave. We spent another two hours taking things off the truck and repacking ourselves. My 200 year old rocking chair, 225 year old inlaid dining set, and new Bassett king bedroom furniture are all scratched and have gouges on them due to improper loading of the truck. I have moved three times before and used professional movers but thought this time since I'm retired I could do the packing and just get someone to load the truck. BIG MISTAKE! Remember... you get what you pay for, protect your investment.
Trying to turn a one day rental into a week uhaul made me feel as if i stloe the truck with no intentions of paying atall the card i put down was my sisters and uhaul took over three hundred dollars out of my sisters account i tried daily to talt to customers service and no one ever came on the phone to arange a new card profile i started renting on the 25th and it is now the 29th we rent a truck from you almost evey week for the blast ten weeks and would not consider using uhaul for our needs ever again
This website has ZERO customer service. Their website had a "glitch" and released a payment for a service I had yet to receive. They said I released the payment, which I didn't... hello; but then continued to state a time and well they wouldn't even of been around at that time. So another lie. They will not give any customer service or take credit for the issue on their site! So now, the helpers do not even have to show up and just got paid $200 for no work. Because the site wasn't working correctly and cashed out a service that was scheduled for a date in the future. Their "customer service " said, you have to contact the helpers, and see if they will give you the money back or help. Basically saying a big F you for our site sucking and F you for wanting to have it fixed. The customer service is straight up garbage, it sucks and their sites accuracy is subpar as you can see. So do NOT use them, they are garbage. I would like to tell workers on the site to advertise elsewhere because they suck! Horrible
Do not book with Uhaul for their no good unreliable moving help companies. They no show you after you pay for their services. Find a good & honest company to do business with. These folks are crooks!
If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT GIVE THE CODE TO THE MOVERS IF YOU ARE UNSATISFIED! I made the mistake of giving A to Z movers the code (just to get them out of my house) after they did thousands of dollars worth of damage to my furniture. Movinghelp.com will not do anything for you if the company you hire does damage to your property in any way if you give the code - Im not confident that they would help even if you DONT give the code. I was told by a representative that all a company has to do is apply to be advertised and they are. You CANNOT and SHOULD NOT trust them with backing quality, professional moving companies. This is scam and I wish I had done my homework better before this nightmare started. I will NEVER use movinghelp, com again and to anyone thinking of using them (independantly or through Uhaul) I say: "RUN FAR AND FAST! Dont do it!"
Tip for consumers:
DONT! Find help elswhere.

Help unloading a moving Truck
Reserved 2 teams based on their affiliation with U-Haul. One team to Load and the second team to unload at the destination. This for Saturday and I confirmed with both teams. Saturday arrives and the first team texts me they will be late 1 hour, then 2 hours, then nothing. 2nd team is waiting at the destination. I tell them to reschedule for Sunday at 2pm and they agree. Meanwhile, get my buddies to help with loading. Sunday arrived and the unloading team says they're running 2 hours late. Uh oh. This sounds familiar. Then nothing. Both teams are NO SHOWS! Truck sits at destination overnight Sunday. Monday, take day off from work to get emergency team to unload. However since I unload Monday afternoon, I have to pay for the time the truck was parked. 2 days X $200/day! Originally had planned Sunday for any last minute move items. That gets pushed to Wednesday. Yet another day off.
To put real numbers to this, total ADDITIONAL EXPENSES due to these"No Shows":
Truck Rental: $400
Lost Wages: $1080
Based on other reviewers, the best I can hope for is a"VIP Credit" from arbitration. Yeah, I don't TRUST them now, why would I TRUST them in the future?
Both teams get high marks at movinghelp.com, this is because you're allowed to leave a review AFTER the move was complete. Impossible to do if the teams are NO SHOWS. The high marks alone made me suspicious.
So, if you hire the following labor, you will get the pain you deserve:
Marathon Movers - based in Wyoming
Mojo Moving - based in Denver.
As for movinghelp.com,
Just stay the H** away.
MovingHelp was regretfully included in the process of moving a UBox across the country via U-Haul, from Michigan to Texas. They showed me movers in the Michigan and Texas areas and I paid for the movers' services. By the day the UBox is supposed to be delivered to my driveway, I haven't been contacted by the movers in Michigan. I have to alternate calling U-Haul and the movers themselves 3 times to finally get through to them. Turns out, the movers that MovingHelp advertises are no longer doing moving services. I'm finding this out ON THE DAY OF THE MOVE! MovingHelp had not updated that little detail in their system. When they offer me more expensive movers (without offering a refund or covering the price difference), they realize those movers are not servicing the Michigan local area either. In the end, after hours on the phone and left without options, I ask the MovingHelp representative what can be done. She says "there is no moving help for you." There you have it, folks: MovingHelp offers no moving help. If you're having issues that are their fault, they'll just refer you to their Terms and Conditions (that were never posted on U-Haul's site where you put in the order) that absolve them of any responsibility because they are "just" a website. They did at least refund me fully, so they get 1 star. Avoid them if you ever can, Although U-Haul pretty much automatically relegates hiring movers through them unfortunately.
TL; DR: Confirm the details of your moving services yourself by calling the movers you find on MovingHelp. You will not be guaranteed any services just because you paid for them.
I ordered this service through UHaul's App. I recieved a phone call from the mover giving them details about the move the night before. Day of the move, Im at the UHaul site ready to pick up the truck. I called the number of the mover 4 times, no answer, sent a text, received a reply stating "can we reschedule?" ON THE DAY and AT THE TIME I'm supposed to get the truck and meet the helpers. No forewarning at all. Moving Help.com wasnt much help. I waited on hold for 20 minutes only to finally get a person that made some incoherent noise, then hung up on me. Tried their chat feature which wasnt much better but at least I got a promise to refund my deposit (we'll see if I get it). So... my recommendation would be to NOT use AW (All Weather) Movers under any circumstances, be cautious using Moving Help. Its very difficult to get help if you need it. The first UHaul rep I talked to was outright nasty, disavowing any knowledge of the relationship between UHaul and Moving Help. Second person I spoke with from UHaul was helpful with rescheduling. I used (held my nose) Moving Help to reschedule using a different mover. Fingers crossed. To have a problem with providing the help you contracted for is one thing, not calling to discuss it, giving no forewarning is absolutely unacceptable. Again, my recommendation is to not use AW (All Weather) Movers, Silver Spring, MD under any circumstances.
I was charged for a service but did not receive any services. There is no phone number to call, all correspondence is through email.
I had a false sense of security because of the affiliation with Uhaul, a company that I no longer have any respect for. Adding to the false sense of security is the claims section of the website, which is a farce, and the fact that usually there is since protection that comes with using a credit card as payment. The movers hired through the site didn't mention that they badly damaged several pieces of the furniture during the move. It didn't occur to me that I needed to inspect every piece after they said they successfully moved everything. After finding my mirrored dresser, headboard, antique chest, and washer damaged, I contacted movinghelp.com and filed a claim through their website. Their response was they are a neutral party and don't do anything (though they have the claim section of their website and of course collect a fee with each booking). The moving company won't respond and movinghelp won't even require them to respond and continues to let them advertise on their site. I am so disappointed in both the moving company and the website. I was scammed by both.
I have tried, believe it or not, twice to place an order with this company. The first time, I was charged TWICE for a moving help order that didn't process and held my funds for five days for $300. When I called U Haul to get help I was given the phone number for Movinghelp.com and called. Alicia spoke to me, rudely and was very condescending. She wouldn't help with my issue. I asked for a supervisor and of course he had "just went home" per Alicia. The bank couldn't help as the funds were being held through MovingHelp.com and of course they had no record of it. The second time I called and spoke to believe it or not Alicia again. She went through the order process with me over the phone and then stated she couldn't process the order as the billing address didn't "match". I checked with my bank - it's correct. I called her back after seeing the funds on hold for this order and she stated if I didn't give her another form of payment she wasn't going to help me. Again the sweet Alicia was rude and condescending as usual and of course a supervisor had just gone home. Why would U Haul associate with this company? It's a horrible reflection on them. Now again I have to wait for this to "drop off" my account just as before. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
The worst experience of my life, they never called and I had a hard time moving. I never recommend moving helpers, the worst moving company in the USA.

Let me make myself clear, the individual mover Moving Help contracted with were wonderful. Moving Help as a company was the worst organization I have engaged with. They never communicated what I needed, they sent an order to the mover for an upload only. I ordered 2 UHAUL pods I only received 1. I flew from the East coast to the west only to have a botched incomplete job because of no communication between Moving Help and UHAUL. I recommend not using Moving Help or UHAUL PODS. I was on hold for 32 mins stranded in my storage unit waiting to speak with Moving Help. It was a nightmare and no one responded. UHAUL stated they were so sorry but it was not their problem as they had no way to connect to Moving Help. A complete waste, now that they have my money, 500.00 dollars, I still need to get the job finished. The actual movers were just as frustrated with Moving Help.'s communication, Be for-warned after they get your money there is no follow-up at all. I can't even rate Moving Help on their site. The infrastructure of the organization is worse than poor from my experience and the whole experience was a nightmare.
Great company. Arrived early and kept in touch via texts. We had them here for a small job. It did not take long and they were very pleasant.
