I've used MovingHelp for 2 years and it's been great. It works like Priceline or Amazon and it connects me with the best and cheapest movers available. I personally recommend to filter the cheapest movers first and then find the company with a five star rating from more than 100 customers. I have never been disappointed.
U-Haul Moving Help Experience Feedback I had a negative experience with U-Haul Moving Help. I hired a moving company named RA Transport, owned by an individual named Ryan, through U-Haul's moving help service. We scheduled their services 17 days in advance, and they confirmed they would be there. We agreed on the job's timing, but communication issues arose as the moving day approached. The day before the scheduled move, we tried contacting them via text with no response. After calling them, we managed to confirm the move for the next day. However, on the day of the move, they failed to show up. Despite our attempts to reach them, our calls went unanswered and went straight to voicemail. Even after trying from another phone, we were unable to get through to them. It seemed like they had blocked us deliberately and did not respond to our text messages. I believe U-Haul should establish clear standards for service providers to prevent such disappointing experiences.
We book 2 helpers end of may, they arrived 2 hours late and drunk! That is not normal. We are still waiting for a compensation
I made a reservation via Uhaul.com (which uses movinghelp.com) for assistance in moving in Roseville, CA. I made the reservation online on 6/20 for 7/5 and then also followed up with the assigned company, A1 Moving. Movinghelp.com charged my card. I confirmed the reservation on 6/20 Witt the company in writing. On 7/3, I sent a text to again confirm the time and move. He moving company replied it was no longer working with MovingHelp. I immediately called MovingHelp (almost impossible to get a number for it) as MovingHelp never contacted me to find another company. I called it and waited on hold for over 2 hrs. Finally got ahold of an agent who said he price would now be 3 times the amount of the original price which had been charged stating it was my fault for "waiting so late to change the reservation" & that since my move was after a holiday I now "had to pay a premium and also a $10.95 fee to book on the phone." I am reporting them to BBB So buyer beware of their bait & switch tactics and fraudulent behaviors.
I cancelled my move with them via voicemail and u-haul and when they called to confirm. They still charged my F**king card. Disputing it with the charge card bank now. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Movers 4 hours late, after an excuse "oh the client before you added on hours" then finally said movers were on the way, (while i was on the phone with uhaul who heard convo) should be there in 30 mins, so should have arrived around 2. 2. 30 i get a call saying whats my address they are on their way, which means i was lied to about them sending people at that time (1.30). Showed up at 3 to a truck that me and husband 3/4 already packed. Help us with the last few items, then@ the drop off location, the young kid was constantly complaining about things being too heavy for him to lift. Kept taking things from the 3rd helper to do the "light stuff". Same kid then tells me "hey i left your dining table at the patio, i couldnt bring it up all the way, let my boss know." at one point i started helping bringing stuff in becuase i was wayyy behind schedule, and then the older one says "grab it with her(me), she can help you". Then after i left my husband finds they put all dressers in one room!
Opened a case on moving helpers website and after 2 weeks i do the online chat and their response is "we are just a go through company to help find you local movers, once you give them the pay code its out of our hands, you have to go to the company that you hired for any refund/ dispute"
Tip for consumers:
just dont use this site, any resolution needs to happen before you give the payment code which is something they dont tell you at the time of booking.

was a moving service. "essential movers" in charlotte nc. had to use them even though they were 4 hours late.
Two guys showed up at my apartment and got the job done in an hour. Great guys, would recommend their service to a friend!
Their FAQ says: "if your mover doesn't show up, just look for someone else that does same-day moves". Essentially, you're on your own.
The guys were on time and very courteous and pleasant. Easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this company!
John was very knowledgeable and careful I would recommend again this company! All of our stuff were taken care of

U-haul. I am so disappointed in your company. On Monday I booked a rental car and moving help. I attempted to call the moving guy that you recommended all week and got no answer and his voicemail was full. Today was the moving day and I was never able to contact him. I have him until noon today hoping he would show up and he didn't. I went online today and switched to a second mover who promised he would be at my house by 5pm. He never showed up either. These are the people that your company are backing as good movers. I called the 800 number and was told the truck I have was rented for tomorrow so I had to call the local scheduling office to see if I can keep it. Called the number I was given four times and was transferred to Miami and they said they couldn't help and to call back tomorrow. Now I am stuck paying for another day on the truck because I trusted that the movers that you recommended were on the up and up, the person that has rented this truck tomorrow is sol because I have to keep it because it's half loaded and I have to get the rest of my things, I have lost a whole day waiting around for movers that never came and I used a day of my pro for this. I will never ever use your company again and I will make it my mission to let everyone know this is how you do business.
I registered on July8,2018 to have Movinghelp.com help me with a move on August 9th, 2018. They took their $215.14 that day. I had to cancel the service which I did by text as well as phone call to the mover on July 30th, 2018, He said no problem head office would refund my money, 10 days later i called him back he said he would look into they were having trouble getting money back. Two months later head office tells me they returned money to mover and it was up to me to get it back The mover is not returning my calls and as far as i am concerned the firm that initially took the money should be returning the money. This is not fair as i never used their service and no one cares WATCH OUT THEY DO NOT HONOUR THEIR COMMITMENTS. I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE REVIEWS OF SCAM AND FRAUD.
U-Box set up order for deliver & load & return to U-Haul for 7boxes in Asheville, NC. Talked to Rebecca, Melanie, Chantia (twice w/ her) was quoted firm price of $1002. 95. Next day, Rana Sprivrilli advised that we were not on the loading schedule and I had to cancel order order and enter new one. NEW PRICE $720 TOTAL.
Two days later, received a new call from H&H Movers and they advise new price $997 total and I have to call U-'Box and place the order over again,
Same day, talked to Judy with U-Box (won't give her last name; says she doesn't have one. Must be like Cher), She says she must change the price $1400.
Tried to explain that they caused the cancellation and U-Box did this because they wanted to raise the price.
Judy No Name says that H&H Movers won't do it for $997 and U-BOX can't book it for that even I just spoke to H&H and that advised that they will take the business for that number.
Don's say you weren't warned.

Great service! The guys were super fast and gentle with my stuff. Made moving super easy! Highly recommend.
If I could give a tenth of star rating I would. My brother a disable veteran that used a U Haul to move. We saw there was moving help available and decided to take advantage. The problem is you find a service, but can't speak with them until you've rendered payment for moving services you can't confirm they can actually provide. For disabled people it's not as cut and dry as for folks that are not disabled. There are extenuating circumstances that must be addressed before a disable person on a fixed income can spend there money. This is where the problem come in, because this service takes payment before you are allow to communicate with the moving service. If they are unable to deal with your extenuating circumstance. You now have to attempt to get a refund for a service that was never provided. Considering you as the disable person on a fixed income don't have any extra money to still go and secure the services your require. You are now at the mercy of a flawed system that has your money tied up in a refund process that takes 3 to 5 business day at a minimum, but you need service now. Now after you spend an entire day about 6 hours bouncing around between entities pointing at each other. Because it says "Powered by U Haul" but it's not U Haul it's Movinghelp.com which is a third party organization. So after spending an entire day trying to get to someone that can actually help you get answers to the question you have. They don't actually answer your question. They tell you they can take the money you paid and turn it into credit to be used instantly. How is it instant if it takes an entire day to communicate with you. How is this service a help if it ties up your entire day, only to turn around and stand behind the flawed process, then hang up on you. Anyone whom uses this service either has no other choice of is cracked in the head. The is the last time I will ever subject myself to anything that has anything to do with U Haul. There are far better services out there, that are actually trying to service the customer not pretend and take your money. Get a life, and I am, one that doesn't have U Haul in it.
I tried placing my order for moving labor for 2 days on Uhauls site. I kept calling MovingHelp directly [Uhaul wouldn't help me at all] and was on hold for at least 20 minutes before giving up. I then went to the MovingHelp website directly and was able to finally book it through their site. HOWEVER. Once I actually booked it, their site changed my address automatically because it is a new build neighborhood and their system didn't recognize it. I tried to change it on the site and it wouldn't let me. I went ahead and booked the reservation with the incorrect address thinking they could change it on the back end. I use the Live Chat, to avoid being on hold for another 20+ minutes, and they told me they couldn't change the address and to call their phone number or the mover directly. My credit card now has 4 charges showing from them because they kept trying to process the order I submitted that their system wasn't able to process. Seriously. Use their site to find the help you need and read the reviews. Then just call the mover directly. Such a WASTE OF MY TIME.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use it.
Matthew and his helper were professional fast efficient and courteous I will definitely use these 2 again
Booked MUA Enterprise from Bayshore, NY for 2 movers/3 hours for $472.50. Paid a little more than some companies listed based on good reviews. They were supposed to arrive at 9:30am, did not arrive until 10:15am and left at 12:30pm... they did not complete the full 3 hours. I specifically told the owner that we need help moving big furniture and if there was time, to help move other stuff. What does he do? He sends the 2 smallest guys that looked like they were in high school. They definitely were not experienced or professional. To make matters worst, they broke a window with a couch they were moving. Their response? "Oops." I text the owner and he never replied to me. He also removed his company from the Uhaul/Moving Help site! So shady and such a scam. Please do yourself a favor and spend the money to hire reputable movers and learn from my mistake. I am so embarrassed because I actually hired movers as a housewarming gift for my uncle. Luis Smikle, if you're reading this, you should be ashamed of yourself. I am not going to keep contacting you and will karma do its thing.
Payed 9 weeks in advance for move in Ks. 8 calls till 4:30 when finally admitted weren't coming. HELL
If you don't want to have a terrible experience like the movers no-show scenario. You keep away from booking movers through Uhaul or its sister company Moving Help.
Here is my experience last Saturday(7/3/2021). Hope you won't enter into the same terrible situation as I did.
I booked a UHaul and booked two movers from one of their suppliers named Tetris Master Movers, which is one of the top-rated suppliers on the Uhaul platform. The resp texted me on the same day when I placed my truck rental order on UHaul and confirmed the moving scheduled to 10 am on the above-mentioned date. Pretty good right?
What the terrible drama was they didn't show up! I kept calling Uhaul to see if they have any contingency for this terrible situation. After one hour I got a live resp and he transferred me to MovingHelp(Where this hell came from I was thinking? I paid the money upfront to UHaul!). After I got transferred, the line was cut off immediately. I was totally knocked out!
After two hours, the previous resp who texted me about the arrangement told me that the movers direct family member passed away. So the movers cannot show up on that day. While it's a great reason especially in the pandemic, but as a prepaid customer, I deserve at the least a heads-up in advance, right?
The drama is not ending yet. After four days till now, I found there is no refund made. When I reached customer service resp, I was told that I have to contact Moving Help by myself. For me, it's like I book a Uber, and then I have to turn to the driver for a refund if he/she no-shows. Is it make sense for you? Not at all for me. Terrible business modal and mindset. Keep away from MovingHelp. They have no customer service and no obligation to clients at all.

The movers themselves were WONDERFUL. Super professional Swept Away
The site, the organization, the customer "support", the issue resolution and the way they abuse their movers is unacceptable.
Tip for consumers:
Don't. Just don't. It's poorly constructed, with no way to get help should anything go wrong. As you can see by the ratings, or have ever actually moved a thing from house to house, things often go wrong.

I had movers in Los Angeles load a uBox, then movers in Detroit unload said box.
I thought that since Moving Help was sourced through the U-Haul website, they must be good. WRONG! So very wrong. It appears to me that Moving Help is just a website middleman connecting "providers" with customers. I was connected to "Bay, City Moving." The comma after "Bay" is not a typo, that's how they list their name. I cannot find them on Yelp. I googled them, found a listing, but it just sends you to the Moving Help website.
The guys that came to load just a few items acted like professionals. The lead guy talked like he was experienced and knew it all. He knew nothing. I stressed over and over again when I booked the service, when the scheduling person texted me, and the guys that showed up, is that I wanted the furniture very well protected for a 700 mile move in a U-Haul trailer. The lead guy assured me that he'd take care of me. He'd wrap the furniture in the moving blankets I provided and by his self proclaimed Tetris skills, "I'll take care of you, it will ride nice, no worries."
It didn't ride well at all. Just the opposite. The bouncing of the trailer on the highway had josled every pad out of place, leaving my expensive furniture to rub on the walls of the trailer and against each other.
Do not take comfort in the fact that these fly by night services are linked through the U-Haul site. U-Haul does not stand behind it. You call them, they'll just give you the Moving Help number, which you will be on wait forever if you call. Do not take comfort in the fancy Moving Help website. It looks to me like they're just middle men connecting you with God only knows who. In this case, I think "Bay, City Moving" doesn't really exist as a real company. No address, no website. Could be just a group of guys with a slick idea to make more money than the minimum wage jobs they qualify for... and they just talk slick to make you think they're real movers with real experience when they're not.
We had paid through U-Haul a week in advance. We confirmed with the movers their availability, drove 1100 miles and they did not respond to phone calls or texts on the day of arrival. (SAFE & SOUND in Memphis-901/487-8922). We had a 2hr. Window for elevator, spent 1 1/2hr on the phone with U-haul & movinghelp and finally cancelled as they were not able to "help", either contacting their movers or replace the no-show crooks. 3 hrs. Later, the movers call and say they can't help due to cancellation. SERIOUSLY? AFTER HALF THE TRUCK WAS EMPTY? Moving help should vet the people and guarantee the help paid for! But they don't care that you PAY in one of the most stressful situations, run against the clock and out of breath and let you out in the cold. DO NOT COUNT ON THEM! AND there is no phone contact on their site for customer service. I had to call U-haul, on hold for 30min. To get their phone no. Then wait another 30 min, explain for 10min., then drop the call and start again. In 100F in Memphis, in the middle of the street, unloading a truck after driving 1100miles. Unbelievable! Use yellow pages instead and read reviews first, before paying!
They make up reviews that customers didn't make. When asked to bring them down they refuse to do so even if customer did not make the review.
MovingHelp is complete false advertising as it preys on people by using the Uhaul brand name. IT IS NOT PART OF UHAUL even though they seem to market as such! The mover I hired was not equipped, unprofessional, very ill and should not have been working. They moved slow as one of them had the flu and went longer than planned and charged me the extra time. They refused to leave until they received the payment code even though MovingHelp terms of service state that payment can be withheld until satisfaction is acheived. Furthermore they broke furniture, lost parts and damaged the walls on my brand new house.
To add insult to injury, when I contact or attempted to contact MovingHelp(they make it extremely difficult to open cases) the system seems to only benefit the movers who are NOT BONDED OR INSURED and does not aid the customer in the slightest in resolving issues.
I am highly disappointed in this service and will not recommend anyone to use this service again. Do not use or recommend this shoddy company to anyone.
Steven and Co worker both are excellent. Job is done very well and organized properly.
Loading and unloading took very faster than expected.
I paid for 6 hours and only got 4 hours of work out of 2 employee with All 4 you movers. Now the excuse was they couldn't understand how the system allowed us to book them for Saturday due to them being over booked that morning. My $380 was already taken from my account and we needed to move asap so I could not wait for refund so the guy called an agreed to move us on Friday afternoon instead of Saturday morning. That gave us less than 12 hours to pack everything which was stressful when we thought we had at 45 hours to pack. We stayed up the entire 12 hours packing overnight. Only for 2 guys to show up and seem tired during the loading of uhaul to the unloading of the uhaul. We get to new apt and the lead guy said well I have to get to another job so they would only unload the HEAVY items ONLY. Mind you not one of us had any sleep, been up all night thinking we had help moving as im disabled and can't help. So not only the movers had additional help from my son and husband they still left us with a uhaul FULL OF BOXES. That my husband & son couldn't finish by them selves. We had to keep the truck an extra 2 days due to my husband had to start his new job. And finally come Sunday 11/1/20 my 2 sons & my husband finished unloading uhaul boxes. I originally placed order on 10/29/20 reserved uhaul for Saturday 10/31/20. After phone call on Thursday 10/29/20 w/ All 4 you movers we agreed to pick up the uhaul earlier to be squeezed into their schedule for Friday after again only given us than 12 hours to prepare. Yes I'm mad, upset and frustrated- all bundled in one. I didn't get what I paid for and they left us stuck out with a loaded truck, we had to pay extra 2 days due to no way for us to return the truck same day. Beware using this service movinghelp.com. You never know who will show up.
