I've used MovingHelp for 2 years and it's been great. It works like Priceline or Amazon and it connects me with the best and cheapest movers available. I personally recommend to filter the cheapest movers first and then find the company with a five star rating from more than 100 customers. I have never been disappointed.
U-Haul Moving Help Experience Feedback I had a negative experience with U-Haul Moving Help. I hired a moving company named RA Transport, owned by an individual named Ryan, through U-Haul's moving help service. We scheduled their services 17 days in advance, and they confirmed they would be there. We agreed on the job's timing, but communication issues arose as the moving day approached. The day before the scheduled move, we tried contacting them via text with no response. After calling them, we managed to confirm the move for the next day. However, on the day of the move, they failed to show up. Despite our attempts to reach them, our calls went unanswered and went straight to voicemail. Even after trying from another phone, we were unable to get through to them. It seemed like they had blocked us deliberately and did not respond to our text messages. I believe U-Haul should establish clear standards for service providers to prevent such disappointing experiences.
This company is a joke they packed my truck with no blankets. I had 60 blankets and use only a few, my Tv's were scratched furniture ruined. If you make a complaint they do nothing. They also suppress the ratings of their movers on there website. U-haul should be ashamed of themselves for promoting this company.
Movinghelp sucks. I had problems to book a crew in the first place, and I got in touch with them first by chat. Some yoyo gave my tips I tried already before. Then I send them an email, and the response was the same unhelpful stuff. Eventually, they just ignored me and I had to find another solution for my move. A service who starts like this... I can't imagine how the rest would have turned out?!?
Tried to schedule a move... got to the end of the process to enter credit card info. Did exactly what was required but the site said there was a mismatch of some kind and would not let me complete process. This is a card that I have used for 20 years with the same billing information. All they told me to do was check with my bank. Ridiculous when the problem is clearly with the website. It would at least help if it gave me a clue what it didn't like... but no. Tried 2 different cards with same results. Customer service was highly condescending and treated me like an idiot. I am a web-page designer and Software Engineer... I answered all what I knew would be their questions and their response was as though they did not EVEN read my email asking for help... NOT recommended. Process on-line is impossible.
Second time using this service. For a move that would cost $300, the site charged me $478 and could not account for $178. All he could say was it was your financial institution, although I explained to him that my institution does not hold funds that large. Instead of having empathy and using his customer service skills, he hangs up on me. Never again!
Honestly I've already given so much of my effort towards this terrible company so here are my last words about the matter.
Heed my warning if you book this place movers will never come. You will waste money, time, and patience with these people. Beware.
I tried to use this service to hire movers for our move. The movers contacted me 3 days before we were supposed to move and asked for all of the same information again. Then told me they were required to add another person for another $200 because of the size of the moving truck. When I told them there were 4 other people helping they said that didn't matter. They also said there were other fees such as how many times they went up and downstairs that was not included in the original price and charge. Then they told us that our move site was outside of their radius so they could help us load but then would sit there for us to go unload and come back to load again but the time would keep running while we unloaded and came back. Am so disappointed in the customer service and lack of communication. We will not recommend or ever use this moving service again.
Our movers were over 30 days late delivering our household. The insurance they offer only takes claims of lost or broken goods. The carrier was no longer "in business", so there was no recourse for the late fees. Not only did I have to wait but I am out the $1000 they owed me in refunds. Do not do business with this company!

It was a moving company with "insurance guarantee" for delivery. The insurance only covers lost or damage but the contracted late fees have to be paid by carrier. They claim to be out of business so there is no recourse. I am happy that I at least received my goods...30 days later than should have been delivered.
I guess I didn't estimate well how long it would take 2 people to move my belongings. I thought they charge by the hour. I estimated 2 hours, but it only took them 1 hour. Since I estimated 2 hours, they charged me for hours. Next time I will read all the fine print. "You agree that You are not entitled to a refund from Us for any Services that are completed in less time than that amount of time set forth in your Request."
I have tried to use two movers on this website. In both cases, I have been very unsatisfied. In one case, the mover cancelled me on the last minute and endangered my moving plan. In the other case, the mover got really bad attitude towards customers and even lied about the appointment time when I actually had the records of text messages and reconfirmed the schedule the day before. I would not recommend anyone to use this website unless they can get their quality control in order.
Booked movers through Moving Help to help with our U-Box. Turns out, the movers don't even offer U-Box service and I spent literally 4 hours trying to get in contact with someone to no avail. This service is literally useless, provides no customer support, and we ended up moving on our own. Oh, and the mover they recommended said he didn't have a license. So there's that
I reserved and paid for moving help several weeks before my move. On the day of the move, no one showed up. When I called the contact number, they said they were busy and hung up on me.
Because I was unable to move from my apartment on my move out date, I was charged hundreds of dollars for violating my lease.
Don't use this company. They don't actually screen the movers you hire.
I ordered a U-Box move from Ontario to PEI.
U-haul told me to pay this company to get it from NS to PEI. That was supposed to happen last week. They have not got it to me nor called to resolve the issue. I call them and they keep giving me the run around.
You'd think for a site such as MovingHelp, they'd be looking to "help me move" my stuff. Nope!
I was able to cancel the job easily online but since I had already prepaid for the movers, it didn't mention anything about a refund. I try to open the chat since there is no phone number, and the chat says there are no agents available right now. Great.

This moving service was absolutely excellent! I booked through U-Haul, and it was so extremely easy. The guys were running a little bit behind, but they let me know right away and it didn't hurt the move at all! They moved my roommate and myself out of our apartment, carried her stuff to her new location and put my stuff in my separate location! They were so helpful, so strong and amazing I would strongly recommend this moving service.
I don't usually write reviews, however, I have never been treated so poorly. I paid upfront for the moving help at Uhaul, it was paid directly to them according to my CC bill, they never put in a job number, and are telling the money I paid was to uhaul. It was not. I have spent two days trying to get this corrected. No one will help. I started a chat with them (you can't call) the chat was open for 3 hours with no response. It finally toned out after that. HORRIBLE
I went through All the right moves professional moving. The guys worked hard but I underestimated them. After unpacking, I found out one of my box was missing! Yes, my things can be replaced but integrity is everything especially when you work in this profession. I will never book through movinghelp and All the right moves again.
I paid for a company called Ready Movers to move my things and one of the movers hurt his hand and was bleeding and I had no idea at first. He never washed his hands and continued to move my things. When I got to my destination I noticed there was blood dripped all over my belongings. It was disgusting and a safety hazard. On top of that the movers illegally charged me extra money for the move. I called Uhaul and they hung up the phone on me because they know they are responsible. Do not go with this company.
These people have no customer support. If anything goes wrong, all they send you back to the individual movers who will deny everything. They have no accountability for their actions, and the moving help customer support agents are useless. DO NOT USE!
I called and texted this moving company "Top Dog Movers" multiple times before the day they were scheduled to help. I contacted Movinghelp.com regarding my concern and they sent me a text message stating "Elite Movers" were confirmed to assist with our move. This was not the moving company I reserved. Both moving companies have the same contact number. The movers did not show up the day of our move. Disgusted and upset. Will never go through Movinghelp.com.
The level of "who cares" that was put into moving my things was astounding. Almost every piece of furniture was scratched or damaged in some way. My grandmothers antique table has multiple gouges taken out of it. They were provided moving blankets and instead of using them they just threw the bags in the trailer. AVOID AT ALL COST. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Smooth move for us with Salers Moving company from Poughkeepsie, NY! Ben and Marquez were super friendly and helpful. I asked for a piece of furniture to be moved twice because I couldn't make up my mind where I wanted it, and they didn't mind at all. It's not often you meet a professional team like these workers. I'm keeping this phone number for future moves. Five stars for this company!
I also booked a company (KAYLA'S moving} through MovingHelp.com, they damaged my furniture cost of $250. I filed a dispute thru MovingHelp.com who after 3 responses close the claim as unresolved, once that was done Kayla's Moving would not return any of my calls. Moving Help sent me this email "We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced in not receiving resolution on your case. MovingHelp.com is a neutral venue whereby we bring the consumer and the Moving Helper together. Each Moving Helper in our marketplace is an independent labor provider and is solely responsible for their customer satisfaction and level of service."
I guess they do not care about their reputation!
I worked with Mitchell's Movers in Ohio and I had an absolutely wonderful experience. They were polite, put plastic bags over their shoes to keep my home clean, and extremely fast. I couldn't recommend them enough
Stay away from any of these companies listed under Moving Help. They don't show up on time, do not care what happens to your furniture. When you read about them at movinghelp.com you see a five star rating. That is totally false. They don't even deserve a one star rating. Thank God I hadn't made a reservation with them yet! They are a total rip off!
You can call *******110 to get it resolved. Basically I received an e-mail saying my refund was processed immediately upon cancellation. I never received anything for 2 weeks. It took multiple phone calls to Uhaul and the number above for MovingHelp.com (Their online chat is worthless. No one ever shows up).
My "refund" was sitting in their system as a credit. Someone had to issue the credit to me while on the phone. My guess is they have a very small shop that is trying to handle a national operation.
I'd avoid like the plague.
