I've used MovingHelp for 2 years and it's been great. It works like Priceline or Amazon and it connects me with the best and cheapest movers available. I personally recommend to filter the cheapest movers first and then find the company with a five star rating from more than 100 customers. I have never been disappointed.
U-Haul Moving Help Experience Feedback I had a negative experience with U-Haul Moving Help. I hired a moving company named RA Transport, owned by an individual named Ryan, through U-Haul's moving help service. We scheduled their services 17 days in advance, and they confirmed they would be there. We agreed on the job's timing, but communication issues arose as the moving day approached. The day before the scheduled move, we tried contacting them via text with no response. After calling them, we managed to confirm the move for the next day. However, on the day of the move, they failed to show up. Despite our attempts to reach them, our calls went unanswered and went straight to voicemail. Even after trying from another phone, we were unable to get through to them. It seemed like they had blocked us deliberately and did not respond to our text messages. I believe U-Haul should establish clear standards for service providers to prevent such disappointing experiences.
I hired "A+ Reliable Movers" (so much for the name) and even confirmed with a guy named Josh the day before they were scheduled to help us move. He said they would arrive between 930 and 10 on June 15th. They NEVER SHOWED UP. Josh would not answer my calls all day and still to this day will not answer my calls. I have left voice mails and text messages. I have even contacted a Jennifer Carson who I think owns his cell number because that is the number that comes up. So, if you book moving help and you get a call from what looks like Jennifer Carson at *******961 and it's a guy named Josh and he wants to schedule your move, just hang up as he is a scammer and will not show up. I have reached out to Customer Support on moving help's website and have not received a response.
This company is horrible, DO NOT USE. I booked a moving company for help with our U-Haul and never received a confirmation email with the moving company name and contact information. I waited to hear a confirmation from the company and never did, so I had to seek out the contact info myself, which I was only able to do by making an account on this website. Once I found the company information, I called the phone number listed and was sent directly to voicemail several times. After multiple attempts, I was unable to get in contact with the company and tried to contact the customer service at movinghelp.com. Since they do not have a phone number listed, you can only talk to a robot through a chat and all they were able to do was tell me how to cancel my order. Although they did provide a refund for the order, I would not recommend using this service to book any moving company. Do your own diligent research!
We used Oregon Packing and Loading in Eugene, Ore. Ryan was professional and we would recommend him highly. We used A+Movers in Olympia, Wa. Dustin was also very professional and very skilled in moving our belongings into our space. We would use A+ again.
The movers referred by Movinghelp were 5 star movers, and they had to reschedule my time which was not a big deal. They showed and were polite, however they seemed very inexperienced. They were rushing to load the truck instead of focusing on being careful. They banged several items on the doors and scuffed up things. They dropped my white leather headboard onto the street, and they shattered my dining table into a million pieces onto all of the other furniture loaded on the truck. They promised to clean out the glass once the truck was unloaded however they did not. They left me to clean all of the glass out on my own. They had no clue how I was supposed to file a claim, and Uhaul did not know either. So I have damaged items and no dining table yet I paid for this to happen. BEWARE. No moving experience. Lack of any care with your belongings.
My movers for my move out were late and for my move in had to cancel last min. No way to contact moving help when things are not going smooth. I had to book another mover and then hope moving help would refund for the canceled one as the chat client never seems to be working and there is no phone number or email. We move a lot and I will never use this service again.
Had to move furniture from one house to another. Rented a truck from UHaul and tried MovingHelp to get movers to load the truck and the to unload it at the destination. What a mistake.
First movers had a family emergency, offered to get a backup tram four hours later. I said no, my sons would handle it. Later they lied and said I had agreed so wouldn't refund me. Movers at the destination never showed up. Had to keep the truck an extra day. Movers the next day entered the wrong address in their GPS. Showed up two hours late after I had dragged almost all the furniture off the truck BY MYSELF.
End result: spent $350 for about 5 minutes worth of work. NEVER AGAIN. Rental truck was fine. MovingHelp was a total disaster.
I prepaid for 2 men for 2 hours. Only one man showed up, he said the other was on the way. He insisted on starting so we did. He refused to load the trailer the way i wanted, and i had to help carry things. I am a senior disabled veteran, thats why i hired help. We finished the job and the second guy never showed up. Tried calling uhaul, but there was a one hour wait. When i finally did reach them, they refused to refund half the money. DO NOT USE THEM
The helper never showed up, and never responded to my texts or phone calls. After numerous attempts, I had to unload the truck myself. As a result of the time wasted, I was unable to use the uhaul truck I had rented to make a second trip to pick up more items. This ultimately cost me several hundred more dollars to rent a truck again on a subsequent day.
Our moving helpers were from Flash Movers. They texted before and upon arrival. They were prompt, friendly and efficient. We showed them what was to be loaded and they got right to work. We had a small move and they were done in 50 minutes with everything carefully packed in the U-haul. No breakage and no shifting of our belingings during the ride from MD to NY. I spoke by phone with the owner of Flash to inquire about procedure and confirm our address. He was quite personable and professional during tbe call. I also contacted him by text to reconfirm and asked a fw additional questions. The owner replied to each of my questions promptly and thoroughly. All in all our experience with Flash Movers was excellent! If this review asked for stars we give Flash Movers 5 stars!
I had to give it one star because it made me, even though I would put negative stars if I could. Booked service plus movers through UHaul. Confirmed our day and time with them the day prior. The movers never showed up or contacted us after several calls, emails, and texts. UHaul was no help, or movinghelp.com. Neither was taking responsibility and kept forwarding our call along. They refunded the money but would not contact the company or provide any compensation because the companies are "independent," even though THEY hold the deposit. And yes, you must pay ahead of time. And YES, you must PAY AGAIN to hire another moving company or get ANY OF THEIR CONTACT DETAILS. Every person was unhelpful and we are still combatting fees with both uhaul and movinghelp.com. We were never able to move out that day and had to postpone our entire move. The whole situation is a disaster and I will never use either company again.
After battling this terrible website, I was able to reach two excellent moving companies. Moving Now based in Fort Worth provided timely and professional services to properly wrap my furniture and load my 15ft Uhaul box truck. The gents from Done Rite Moving, based in Dallas, came down to my country home in Navarro County. They were very courteous and helpful unloading my furniture. The human side of this move was excellent. The website side was horrible.
I requested and paid for 3 Movers for 2 hours for a 2pm move, I received 2 Movers that were 2 hours late and I had to call the owner, who would only answer text. He stated that they were stretched thin that day and the 2 movers could handle it, disregarding all else (Like I didnt pay for 3 Movers?). I ended up having to call friends to help the 2 guys move the things up 3 flights of stairs. MovingHelp states that they are only the middle men and have no oversight over their service contractors. Also advised to pursue the company in other legal avenues. Over $200 down the drain!
At the end of the move the Moving help mover told me I owed him an extra $125 and I'd have to pay cash because of moving a gun safe. I told him that there was nothing in the contract and he said he just does what that boss says. I paid him to get rid of him. When I called Moving Help they agreed that there shouldn't be an extra charge and told me to "file a claim". I did what they said and they have ignored me ever since.
I went through THREE movers. ALL of which could not be found with the number provided. I finally just hired someone off of the local trading pages. You can't call anyone, the responses are ridiculous, Luckily I was proactive or no one would have shown up. Will NEVER do business with this place again and WILL NEVER recommend. Find some local kids or call movers directly to hire labor.
We were moving to our new house when the scheduled mover cancelled. The buyers for our older house needed to move in NOW! Jake at UHAUL (14 Mile and Ryan) put us in contact with McCord Home Improvement. Montel McCord, *******731, answered our 10 PM call and, if we got the truck, he would bring the people. We did, he did. He was there the next day with two movers and they worked solid for essentially three days. They were polite, hard working, and never slowed down. Thanks to them we were able to get out on time and in to our new home. They saved the day. If we move again, they will be the first people we call.
The dumbest moving company i know. Customer service is stupid and can't do anything to help you. The agents reponding to my email claim to be all managers but can't do refunds. All answering responding like dumb robots. Will not help to make adjustments after there are issues with the movers ran away with the code saying it can be refunded when we finish early. Don't do this kind of business when you don't have the pwoer to get refund when the service providers are unresponsive. You should be in the middle to protect the customers. Dumb stupid $#*!.
I rented a U-Haul in Fishers Indiana for May 13,2021. And also hired helpers to load the furnitures on the truck through U-Haul website, movinghelp.com. They have charged my c. Card twice for the May 13th service $185.95. After contacting them, they credit my card $5.95. Where is my $180.00? This is so wrong! I wonder how many other customers they have done this to.

Today I moved and hired two men to help me. Not only were Prentiss and Cory on time and friendly but they went above and beyond for me. They helped me take a door off its hinges to get the washer and dryer in the basement, packed my Uhaul like they were auditioning for a Tetrus game show, continuously helped me and my friend Megan by grabbing and unloading all the heavy items leaving us with the lighter ones all while being friendly and small talking with us. I went over my 2 hour booking and was LUCKY that they could stay for an extra thirty minutes. Best money I've ever spent. If you need help moving request these two men because you will not be disappointed. I am so happy with how easy and efficiently today went, that if I ever move again (hopefully not for a while) I'll be requesting these men.
Do not hire movers through this website. Every time, I have, my furniture is damage. Sometimes these movers use people that they hired that day and are not familiar with placing items in the truck. This last time I hired a team that was covered by the Safeload Insurance which I purchased. Three of my pieces of furniture were damaged and I filed a claim. Without even reviewing the pictures of my damage and speaking with the movers, they sided with the movers. Seems very one sided and not worth the money. Next time I will spend the money on a mover who is licensed and carries their own insurance.

We went through U-haul and movinghelp.com twice to hire movers to help us load. Both times, they never showed up and quit responding to phone calls or texts after they had confirmed that they would be there. After 20 minutes on hold with U-haul, they sent us to movinghelp.com who said they couldn't do anything to get new support and that we should call U-haul for a refund. Refunds don't help you when you drive 5 hours to a storage unit to load and then have to drive another 5 hrs to your home. Uhaul and moving help should have made an effort to arrange replacements but they are too stupid to be useful and they told us this was a common problem and they aren't willing to do anything about it. I hold Uhaul responsible for this chronic problem because they refuse to hold their subcontractors responsible or at least boot them off the site for not showing up. No one in my family will NEVER EVER use U-haul or movinghelp again and we move A LOT.
I saw this company through U-Haul then i was planning to take a look so i can schedule someone helping me move. Then I went to there website, I wanted to ask some questions through Live Chat. Then there's this person named Brian answered, I asked my question but was very clear about his answer. I was typing my question then he ended my chat, then i reopen it, this Brian again answered, and then ended the chat as soon as he said 'how can i help you'. Third time i reopen the live chat, another person answered and provided enough information to me. I complained about the Brian action said 'he ened my chat twice while i was typing and i was typing as soon as i opened the chat', the person told me 'Of course, what's wrong with that?" Thank you for your customer service, for sure i won't use this company anyway!
I guess it depends on who you choose. We used EZ Moving in Sacramento CA and their guys, Charlie and Noel, were on time, totally professional and really hard working. When I made the reservation the office was helpful and courteous. They called the night before to make sure we still needed them. We couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks to MovingHelp, EZ Moving and Charlie and Noel for making a stressful situation (moving) just a bit easier. I wouldn't hesitate to use MovingHelp again.
I paid over $200 to schedule two movers for 2 hours. Not long after I paid I received an email from the moving company saying they could not move my items. They said movinghelp.com has been overbooking them, and they had no availability. On Uhaul's website however, moving help said these movers were available. I had to spend an additional $200+ just to get another moving company ASAP.
Moving help is garbage, this was a complete and total SCAM! They had the audacity to take my money BEFORE I was notified there wasn't any moving availability. Absolutely unacceptable, Uhaul should be ashamed of there partnership with this moving service.
I booked my Uhaul with loading help, they never came, never called to tell me they won't come.
I called them multiple times, it takes you at least 40 minutes on the line for them to answer (which I only succeeded doing this once) they won't help you and they offer just to change the company even without confirming that the new company will come.
Worst experience ever, I will never even try using them again.
I even tried to review them on their website but it is harder to write a review for them more than getting a masters degree, so I ended up writing my review here.
For your sake, AVOID THEM
I verified all the details of the move the day before. Movers were supposed to be there at 3PM. I call my movers to try and figure out what was going on and they said they aren't even in town and are still at another job. It will be a minimum of 2 hours before they will be on the way. No call from them to even let me know they were running late. I cancelled. Trying to move by yourself while your husband is away serving in the Navy is hard, which was why I hired someone. Too bad they couldn't follow through.
