I've used MovingHelp for 2 years and it's been great. It works like Priceline or Amazon and it connects me with the best and cheapest movers available. I personally recommend to filter the cheapest movers first and then find the company with a five star rating from more than 100 customers. I have never been disappointed.
U-Haul Moving Help Experience Feedback I had a negative experience with U-Haul Moving Help. I hired a moving company named RA Transport, owned by an individual named Ryan, through U-Haul's moving help service. We scheduled their services 17 days in advance, and they confirmed they would be there. We agreed on the job's timing, but communication issues arose as the moving day approached. The day before the scheduled move, we tried contacting them via text with no response. After calling them, we managed to confirm the move for the next day. However, on the day of the move, they failed to show up. Despite our attempts to reach them, our calls went unanswered and went straight to voicemail. Even after trying from another phone, we were unable to get through to them. It seemed like they had blocked us deliberately and did not respond to our text messages. I believe U-Haul should establish clear standards for service providers to prevent such disappointing experiences.
First, I could not click the "I accept terms" on their site. Tried multiple times after reseting and other browsers. I clicked and nothing happened. So I could not book online.
Then I contacted their live chat for help, you are not allowed to call anyone.
Attempt one I waited for a response for 2.5 hours with none.
Called Ubox/Uhaul who connected me with them.
Waited on hold for 40 minutes.
They gave me a phone number, it was a fax machine (or modem)
Ran errands, came back tried to book again. Same problem can't click box.
They had me clear my cookies and various other things. Still could not click the stupid box.
THEN they gave me a phone number so I could call.
I sat on hold for 25 minutes here where they tell me repeatedly how easy it is to do this all online and that I will be charged an $9.95 non refundable "CONVENIENCE FEE" for booking on the phone. SO CONVENIENT SITTING ON HOLD FOREVER. I have given up and refuse to use them. Infuriating waste of a day.
Made the reservation and was confirmed the night before we moved our daughter in Ft Worth with Keith and they NEVER SHOWED. Called your number and it was inactive think this might be a scam. Old Folks got it done. And yes you can call me look me up under my uhaul rental W Burns
Dont use this service! They have people using "moving businesses" and they arent actual businesses. They tell you they dont charge you until after the move, they charge you that day. Its all fraudulent behavior. They never showed up and every number listed was either out of service or not correct... and movinghelp.com doesnt have a customer service phone # they only respond via email. Well, I WANT TO SPEAK TO A PHYSICAL PERSON!
THE BUSINESS ITSELF ACTS LIKE THEY ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS, THEY DONT FOLLOW UP AND I DONT BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE LOCATED IN AMERICA, JUST ANOTHER BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO WANT SOMETHING FOR NOTHING.THEY ARE VERY HARD TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH. IF YOU WANT BETTER SERVICE WITH NO LANGUAGE BARRIER THEN TRY AN AMERICAN COMPANY WHERE THERE ARE LAWS TO REGULATE CERTAIN BUSINESS PRACTICES AND AVENUES TO RECOURSE IN CASE SOMETHING EXPENSIVE REALLY GETS DAMAGED

YES, DONT USE MOVING HELPER

MOVING HELPERS
This company is terrible. I ordered a van through Uhaul and they contract with Moving Help. This is South Florida and every building will only allow contractors to do moves if they have some kind of moving insurance. MovingHelp KNOWS THIS but they contract with people who have NO INSURANCE! So you take the day off work, pay for a Uhaul, reserve elevator time with both buildings you're moving in and out of, and then someone shows up with no proof of insurance and the condo associations won't let them do the move. MH is completely aware of the fact that movers need insurance, but they don't care and won't help. Abigail in customer service could not have been less helpful or empathetic. I pity the people who work for these sleazy, scammy moving services companies. Thanks for adding tons of stress to an already extremely stressful time.
Exceptional job. Could not have asked for a better group of movers. Very nice, very professional, extremely hard working and efficient. Packed the Uboxes perfectly.
Nick & Friends were on time, courteous, hard working, and careful with my furniture. They did a great job. I certainly would and hope to hire them again.
I would definitely use your own movers. Basically they way it is set up is movinghelp.com is a middle man for the moving companies in your area. They (through Uhaul) facilitate you scheduling and paying for your moving job. Once the movers complete the task money you have paid to uhaul will be released to the movers. Im sure it works fine in most instances but in my case I couldn't get ahold of my moving company. Uhaul is no help as the moving services are through movinghelp.com. Problem is there is no phone customer service through movinghelp.com (there is an email but no phone customer service). If I did it again I would have just paid for my own movers and not bothered with movinghelp.com.
Simple. Don't trust them to show. They won't even call or text you back. They work in tandem with U-Haul in what must be a variety of ways, and all unscrupulous.
Tip for consumers:
Don't. No working phones after you pay them. Bad move on U-Haul's part to nationally advertise this criminal operation.

Moving services.
The most unorganized business I've ever been a part of. Randomly hold pay for 3 days, the application they have us use is archaic, it could be in a museum.
If I can choose no star, I will definitely choose it. The moving help was suddenly canceled by this company just 2 days before. They never offer another helper and, when I complained about it, they said that the cancelation was done by providers. But their email mentioned it was canceled by them. Don't use this company. Your reservation may be canceled 2 days before inbusy season and you will fail to move to another place.
This is a review for Mike and Diego at BEST COAST MOVING. I selected them via the U-Haul website under MovingHelp.com. I'm so glad I did! There was a mistake on U-Haul's end about when my movers would meet me in Los Angeles driven down from Oakland. Mike fixed the issue right away and was able to come the very next morning to unload the U-Haul truck. Both Mike and Diego effortlessly unloaded the 15' truck in under 2 hours. They placed everything exactly where I needed it following my direction. I highly recommend BEST COAST MOVING for all your moving needs!
Not sure what's going on with this site. I never got a chance to do anything with them. I set up moving help from a company but never heard from them for over a week. With the move date coming up soon I decided to cancel that job and am supposedly getting a refund but I haven't seen it yet. I tried setting up a new company to help me move but now when I'm in MovingHelp's cart nothing is working on their page. The Delete/Edit job buttons don't do anything and the Confirm Order button doesn't do anything. There's no errors or messages popping up anywhere. This is consistent between all the browsers I've tried and closing/opening a new page doesn't help. And I can't get hold of anyone for help. They only have a live chat option, with emails just for comments about the site and no phone option. I waited for an hour and a half to chat with someone on Monday before ending the session and then the next day waited on chat for over 10 hours without getting any contact whatsoever. No update about wait time or anything. As far as I can tell they don't actually have anyone working there, just a bank set up to collect people's money. Hoping very much I'll finally see my refund show up since I clearly won't ever be able to speak to anyone if it doesn't go through. This site is shameful.
Sent me a quote for a company that doesn't provide the services I requested. There is a phone number, but no answer- I had to cancel online, which means they have my money tied up for the next 7-10 days. Requested another company that would do packing/unpacking/load/unload. So far I still have not been able to schedule the services I've already paid for, because the owner sent my first two calls to voicemail and asked if he could call back in a couple hours on the third call. That was yesterday. I move in 2 days and now have no idea whether the people I've paid another ~$550 actually do everything that I need, nor if they are actually available during my window of need. If not, that makes a total of $1100 this dumpster fire of a company has now tied up for a week that I cannot access, meaning I have no more money to go out and hire proper movers and packers if this company is as useless as the last one they suggested.
Stay away. Do not use them. Go to thumbtack, where you interact directly with the companies before spending your time and money getting ripped off by movinghelp.com. I tried to save a couple dollars, now the moving costs twice as much with no security that it's going to even be done.
Not sure how this company is allowed to operate, since they seem to rip off 90% of their users.
Disgusted with the whole experience.
Tip for consumers:
They will take your money and run. They will quote you for services the companies don't offer. And no one ever answers their phone, so be prepared to go through your bank if necessary to get your money back. Just don't do it.

None, since the services I asked for weren't offered by the company they recommended, and I have had no communication with the second company recommended.
I hired 2 guys from Freedom Movers (manager Kelly Scarborough) and the guys literally broke my brand new manicure table. It cost me over $400 and I had just gotten a couple of months prior and the guys ripped off the top of the table which had been screwed into the bottom. Now my table is wobbly and unstable and when I reached out to Kelly the manager, he assured me he'd get back to me even but he has since ignored me, forwarded my calls, answered my calls and heard it was me and then hung up. I've been nothing but respectful to Kelly and he continues to take advantage because he doesn't want to be held accountable. My issue with Freedom Movers is they have no way to hold these moving companies accountable so ideally they can break whatever they want and if you can't afford to hire a lawyer to fight it, then they can get away with it. I have had an awful experience using these guys mainly due to how Kelly the manager made me feel like he was going to help me handle the situation and then simply tried to just pretend the situation never happened and ignore me. Completely unprofessional and it makes it hard to trust any moving company moving forward without knowing their policy on damage caused by the company. You would assume that they would cover the damages but it seems that's not the case.
Very friendly and prompt service. I would use them again. The two movers were very careful moving all furniture. I had gotten a truck that was too small but they strategically fit my furniture.
My roommates and I booked 2 movers for 2 hours with Moving Help for our July 1st move-in. On the day of, we encountered issues with acquiring our van and had to push the time back to 4 PM instead of 3 PM, which did not seem to be a problem, in fact, the exact answer was "Yes but our company charges for time change!". At 5 PM (an hour later than planned) one mover shows up alone. I called the company to inquire about the second mover and was treated with a complete lack of respect and professional etiquette in addition to having to move half our furniture ourselves. The employee I had on the phone yelled at me that it was my fault for moving the time and they would not give me any compensation for my troubles. I have never in my life been treated this poorly by any business. The one star I give to this review is for the fantastic mover who helped us carry our boxes and furniture under the blaring heat of summer. As for the company, I really hope they will work on their policies, communication, and basic respect for their customers. I am still waiting for my $160 refund.
Tip for consumers:
Don't.
Absolutely amazing service!; Would recommend! Movers showed up early and stayed late. They were courteous, respectful, and hard-working. Amazingly, they didn't take one break in five hours.
I had arranged for Forte movers to help me move, disabled from cancer, to move me about three miles, Not only were they three hours late, no communication, then an hour later and mind you, I am sitting in a car outside of the house I was moving from with a Uhaul truck and receive a text they are around the corner. I text and called numerous time to no avail
Another 1.5 hours later another two said they were coming and it took them another half an hour to get there
I was told by one of the movers do NOT give them the payment code that it was free. I went to tip them and they said again it is free
I contacted my bank and disputed the cost, Now I just talk to the owner and since this was a couple of months ago, He said there are no free moves and when I brought up the payment code, He said he never heard of a payment code
We all know there is a payment code. Stay away
I contacted moving help to receive assistance before paying for services to avoid a potential misunderstanding. Jessica, the admin on live chat, didn't answer one of my questions. Why is Jessica employed if she can't do her one job, which is to answer customer questions? Instead of Jessica answering any of my questions, she decided to give me provide me with a customer service telephone number that seems redundant. When I called the number, I was informed I would be charged $9 to make a reservation. Had Jessica felt like doing her one job, my service could be complete and booked. Hello, Jessica, you are hired to do a job. Don't give a customer a telephone number of someone else that can help me when you are perfectly able according to your employment contract to assist customers with simple questions. If not, the unemployment line should be of good use to you soon. To Jessica's manager, seriously consider terminating this employee. If Jessica was rude and useless to me, how many other people is she incompetent towards as well? Thanks to Jessica I will not be utilizing MovingHelp nor the third party within their website.
Tim and Darius were very fast and efficient at moving our sofas and dining room tables up our steep stairway. They made sure nothing was damaged and completed it in record time.
I am moving tomorrow, and scheduled someone to come out at 12:30, however
They said they could not come out due to an extended appt. I have been waiting for close to an hour. After waiting I went online as suggested by the company and did not get anyone. I am so disgusted and frustrated. DO NOT USE EMOVERS.COM
This is a ZERO STAR Company. Moving Help is an awful Company that does NOT provide any customer service whatsoever for it's customers. They will STEAL your money, offer a resolution option for problems with their service providers and then close the case with NO resolution and keep your money. Their Service Providers are NOT movers for the most part. Instead they are people that are unable to get jobs anywhere else and decide they'll form a moving company and destroy people's personal and household belongings.
If you happen to be in the Plant City, Florida area definitely AVOID Homecoming Moving Company. Don't be fooled by their owner Phil and his "veteran owned" gimmick. It's NOT a trustworthy Company and Phil lacks integrity as do his so-called movers.
MovingHelp through Uhaul - Arranged appt weeks in advanced. Called them 3 times to verify even the day before. They didn't show up at 7AM. Called them, they said they would show up at 8 AM. They didn't show up and said 9 AM, and still didn't show up. They pretty much had lied to me... I eventually had to move my stuff by myself. Very bad company
