“Coke Lack of Rewards”

William s.
6/22/17

Coke went from providing hundreds of products for points to a Las Vegas Gamble on which you can't even play the game you want. Just like all those who wrote reviews before me, totally agree what a joke. You turn in points for the chance of wining something versus turning in points and actually getting something (at a healthy exchange in their favor). Very disappointed having been using a rewards member since 2006. But I am done. Hope the money they think they will save costs them dearly...

Why does the price f the coke keep going up then? I don't win and already paying for the prizes. What a joke! My time is more valuable than this! I can get paid $20 a week for not doing this! Annoying

Though our household enjoyed Coke brands well BEFORE the rewards program began, coke certainly had much serious competition that would often win over the cupboard real estate space. The rewards program made Coke brands take front and center as goals for what used to be desirable items and choices helped to entertain all. Now all that is left of the program is a shadow, a ghost of what once was. Coke should be embarrassed at how they've totally bungled their now turned cheesy, makeshift rewards program. The new program is totally anemic at best as donating rewards to causes are offered by many, many other products. We NEVER appreciate having a REAL CHOICE taken away. We enjoyed using our points for some of "everything" (donations, items, etc.) but NOW we are NOT Buying, Drinking NOR even THINKING coke products! This is America and We LIKE V-A-R-I-E-T-Y. So... Good-bye Coke, it was nice while it lasted.

MCR used to be great. It motivated me to buy Coke products and the rewards were good. Then they got lamer and more points needed. Now Coke ascended MCR and I had 1,000 points I couldn't use. I am glad the j used points were donated to charity so they didn't go to waste, but now this new Coke program is the worst. They kept messing around with a good program until this new one which is the lamest yet. I am cutting out Diet Coke. Perhaps this stupid "rewards" program is a blessing in a disguise.

Lame - $#*! "contest", amounts to a big waste of time. How long did it take for the wizards at COKE to come up with these time wasters. Lame. Give yourselves and "F" and fold up shop.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but the only thing I saved for was the magazines. The new ones is sweepstakes and social media links. I wish they'd bring back the old one. The codes are worthless to me now.

In the past I have entered and saved points and redeemed for NIKE gift cards - awesome deal and I have several pairs of great running shorts thanks to Coke. HOWEVER, the new website now has levels of Status that you have to achieve (bronze, silver, gold) in order to get the different tiers of rewards. I wouldn't mind this except that the ONLY way to get status points involves whoring out your social media accounts as free Coke marketing. I choose to be extremely minimal on social media for a reason and Coke isn't going to be the thing that changes that. Watching videos, taking surveys etc isn't a bad idea and I would participate in those but the caveat is that to get your points you have to also tweet or post of FB that you did it - that's waaaaaay too intrusive and controlling and the rewards offered aren't worth it. Basically if you aren't willing to sell out and give Coke free marketing you should skip this rewards program - not worth it anymore.

The previous MCR program was fun and -- wait for it... -- REWARDING! Now you can get DISCOUNTS? From PERSONALIZED BOTTLES? WHO CARES about THAT kind of stuff? It was FUN to be able to rack up points & get free 20-oz sodas! THAT is (was) a reward, right? I can NOT believe Coke did THIS to the program.

No reason to pay the high price for coke product now, before with the old rewards program you actually had a reason to save points. Now just a waste of time. I be drinking something cheaper now!

It wasn't always as bad as it is now, but don't worry it will only get worse. They're replacing w a truly awful program that looks completely worthless. What a slap in the face.

How disappointing the new site is. Why change a good site? Now, I have bags and bags of caps I have been saving since March and for what...
VERY DISAPPOINTED... Not sure like many that I will even keep these caps at all. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

About 20 years ago my dad passed away due to diabetes complications, at which time I stopped sugared soda (yeah, I know, should stop soda altogether!). So I've been a diet soda addict since. My taste buds happen to love the flavor of Coke Cherry Zero the best, though I will go to Diet Cherry Dr Pepper, Diet Mt Dew, and other from time to time. Like you all, I have spent many hours typing those codes into MCR for many years. A number of my family and friends have diligently collected up caps for me (because they love me <3 :) ). The new rewards program sucks so far (though I did get an extra 500MB Verizon Wireless data for 5 caps!). They should have just said, "listen, we're not giving away stuff like we used to. It was fun, but we have to stop now". That would have been much better than all the hype about the so-called new and improved rewards site. It definitely sucks so far. I have a few gallon size zip lock bags of points ready to be entered. But if the rewards site never accepts them again, I'll be ok, life will go on, and I'll definitely find other more productive things to do with my time. Will I boycott Coke? Absolutely not. Will I by competitors diet drinks? Sure will, when they are on sale, or that's all I can find. Move on people, it'll be okay. Thanks Coke for the good tasting products :)

Facebook? Twitter? No thank you. How about 276 shares of KO? How about a decades-long consumer who purchases overpriced 12-packs when they're not on sale? One who used to be called a loyal consumer with over 4000 points but can now only redeem at a bronze level, excuse me, bronze "status" because I don't live on social media? That's insulting and a shame. My status as a customer is determined if I tweet? How stupid! Do I buy more Coke or Cheerwine? Or RC Cola? THAT decision, of putting a carton of Cokes or Pepsi into my grocery cart is what SHOULD drive a consumer loyalty program. MCR is supposed to be, or started as, a loyalty program. Coca-Cola and MCR, you've ventured too far off the path and have lost your orientation.
I won't be voting as the board recommends next time - an upper management that tolerates (maybe even encourages?) the alienation of loyal consumers is not worthy of my support. Actually I don't care for Pepsi but I own PEP too. Their shares over last 5 years have trounced KO. Maybe they treat their consumers better? Maybe I should find out...

It takes a lifetime to enter codes now. I also hate the pesky reminder to add twitter and instagram. Please go back to the old site, the new site is 2 steps backward.

Seriously. What used to be a mediocre rewards program is now a horrifically bad rewards program.

What kind of reward is it that I can spend my money on their product and the only benefit I get from the program is that I am allowed to submit codes so that COKE can donate to questionable charitable causes and reap all the rewards for themselves? What happened to rewarding the CUSTOMER?

I mean, at this stage of the game, all but two of the so-called rewards are for "CoVid support". What the hell is that? Does coke not know that most people are no longer concerned with CoVid and simply living their lives, while organizations like COKE continue to perpetuate the scaredemic? Sure, "Omicron" is all the rage right now. Anyone who's anyone has it or has had it. What are we ever going to do when it's all over?

One thing is for certain. There's no way in the world I'll waste my time entering codes into this lame excuse for a "customer incentive" program.

How will I ever survive without my precious Woka Cola? I guess I'll find out. There's very little chance that I'll be supporting their ridiculous agenda any longer.

Such a sad and pathetic joke they've become... like so much of corporate America these days.

Tip for consumers:
Find another beverage. These people will only waste the profits you give to them.

Products used:
Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Coca Cola

I guess it's time to drink Pepsi. I always went out of my way to buy Coke instead of Pepsi because of the rewards. Now that they've done away with that incentive, I'll be drinking a lot more Pepsi.

If what I have seen so far of this new rewards program it is not a rewards program at all. I guess I will switch to another program and drop drinking coke products.

Been a member of coke rewards since 2010 and seeing what the site has become enraged me. 2 and a half years later and coke has done absolutely nothing good to benefit me or consumers in anyway. I spent those same two years complaing to coke about the absurdity of its "rewards" program and nothing was done whatsoever. I've had holidays and birthdays ruined because of this crap. Worthless charities forced on us which I will never waste caps on unless I get something in return and equally worthless insta win offers you will never ever win and if you do its just an entry just to win which again you won't get anything. The final straw was making the easiest items like a 2 dollar Amazon gift card or a amc voucher insta win. I'm sick of the crap cokerewards has pulled. Two and a half years of garbage they've pulled. There was nothing wrong with the original rewards program and they change it into something worse. I've called again and complained and voice my concerns and again coke doesn't care. If people put more pressure on the company and its sham of a rewards program maybe things would change. But then again they won't.

I have been using this site and entering codes for some time. First I used the points for merchandise which, to be honest, was not very good. Then I went for the sweepstakes, which apparently they have now stopped (or I do not have enough STATUS to enter). They recently overhauled the site to make you jump through hoops on social media and be a shill for Coke to get STATUS, the sweepstakes link doesn't work and the BRONZE REWARDS (which is the STATUS you start out with) are meager and marginal. Don't waste your time doing unpaid marketing work for Coa-Cola.
