“Coke Lack of Rewards”

William s.
6/22/17

Coke went from providing hundreds of products for points to a Las Vegas Gamble on which you can't even play the game you want. Just like all those who wrote reviews before me, totally agree what a joke. You turn in points for the chance of wining something versus turning in points and actually getting something (at a healthy exchange in their favor). Very disappointed having been using a rewards member since 2006. But I am done. Hope the money they think they will save costs them dearly...

Why does the price f the coke keep going up then? I don't win and already paying for the prizes. What a joke! My time is more valuable than this! I can get paid $20 a week for not doing this! Annoying

It used to be so fun to rack up some points with all the Coke's I have purchased which was a lot. The excitement of entering codes is over. I'm no longer buying as much Coke either. Why bother. You don't get any rewards. Very disappointed in the change.

They might as well just cancel the rewards program at this point because you never win anyway. RME. The prizes made being bloated from drinking so much coke worthwhile! Back to water I go. IGA spring water!

Since Coke.com has ceased to offer goods that you can "cash" in coke codes for and apparently only have sweepstakes it has become not worthwhile.
Doesn't appear that they read these comments or they just don't care what the public thinks.

Basically the marketing department had a spot on idea 10(?) years ago. The days of entering 10 point codes for a free 12 pack, six month magazine subscriptions, Cedar Point tickets. Then somebody decided that THOSE lavish rewards were costing them too much money so they introduced the lotteries. Enter TEN codes for one entry, but still something tangible? It seems like Coke finds cash for operations value of $9.8 Billion and free cash flow of $8.7 billion too paltry of a sum. After all, Chairman of the Board/CEO needs a raise! That $17,623,796 will just not do! The COO coming in a distant second at $6,759,847. Those good ol' boys need raises! I feel like they should just say they are trash canning the program and be done with it...

I miss the old rewards when it was fun and exciting to get something for buying a certain brand or product. I have been saving caps thinking that they will read the consumer reviews and make some changes but clearly they could care less. So Dear Coke! I AM OUT!

This used to be a good program before they changed the rules and you have to enter points every 90 days or lose them. Way too much trouble. Will no longer be buying Coke products after losing all my points.

Lost over 3,000 points upon change in site. Have contact MyCokeRewards at least 4 times by e-mail, after much delay get response that says everything is fix. Upon login find that nothing has changed. Can't get thru on the phone. Expected much better from Coca-Cola. This rewards program is a disaster.

Glad I read all of the reviews on here and others feel the same way! The sweepstakes entries listed (same one now for 3 weeks) I have entered only 1. I get it they have to make money also off of others advertising but dang how many Verizon customers are there really? Lol. At least they could have included the other major carriers. But besides that whose to say you would even win. What 1 out of 1,000,000,000. And please tell me how many would even click on each product in top row of website for the nutrition info.? All is rock gut and not good for us but I still drink it. Anyone wanting that information surely will not be drinking the stuff anyways! Just disappointed in Coke and their new and approved program.

I have been in this so called Coke rewards program for over 5 years. This has been the worst year ever for there so called rewards. It takes a lot of time and money to enter these damn caps, codes, and status activities. For what a 10 $ reward that you can only redeem once. Coke rewards hyped us all up this year.To only disappoint it's loyal customers. I can't even spend my points to get out and wash my hands with it. What a joke. There boxes of joy instant win challenge is a joke as well. Spent 100 caps a total of 300 points and didn't win anything, but they claim there is 85,000 prizes to be won. Dont waste your codes on that fraudulent game.

Coke seems to have veered away from making it's loyal customers happy and moved to something that doesn't even make sense. Points used to mean something. A really great prize. Now, you get NOTHING. Don't waste your time.

Saving the points to wanted them every week, was the one thing our family did together. Every Sunday night my wife and 3 boys would all gather around the dining table. We all would take turns reading the codes to my wife as she entered them. Since the reward system ended I haven't seen my wife, and the three boys won't come out of their rooms. Do you have any idea how bad it must drink up there? My love has been in shambles, lost my job 2 weeks ago.
Coke has no idea the ripple effect it has caused.
Seriously the new program sucks.

I had a serious health issue was lucky enough to survive 4 months in the hospital and constant care facility so inactive and Coke just voided all my points I had collected for over a year. I'll drink alligator piss before I'll buy any of their product again.

The old program was amazing! The new one is nonexistent. All they really needed to do was add the option that codes could be scanned with a phone in addition to manually entering them. Instead, they got ride of EVERY good reward they offered. Now, you can only enter contests? No thank you! I spent a lot of money on coke. Thirty-five years worth, to be exact. This is what they do for their loyal customers? I'm happy to say I quit drinking coke after this happened. I haven't had one since. I used to drink 5 a day too. I feel so much better. I guess I should be grateful.

Absolutely pathetic change made by Coke. A multi billion dollar corporation can't even afford to give out 1 free 20 ounce soda once a month to loyal customers? Completely worthless. Lost my loyalty as well as many others as you can see

This mom doesn't like clutter. Why should I hold onto garbage (cardboard and caps) on my desk to enter in codes that don't reward my family anymore. This mom is opting out of Coke Rewards, disappointing.

The whole thing is very misleading now. They still print codes yet there are no benefits for us the consumer. It's just donating points and that's it. Not worth the time or effort for the amount the charities would get by doing that.
I have several hundred codes I've been hanging on to and accumulating hoping over the last few years that they would add some rewards like a free drink for example but nada -- nothing.
What a waste of counter space for the caps that have been collecting dust there.

The new rewards program was "marketed" to be better than the old one. The old program had great gift cards, coke products, etc. that you could spend points on. After reviewing the new program, I can only conclude that Coke thinks its customers are stupid. Why would anyone save codes for just a chance to win a prize?

Thanks a lot, Coke. You have made your disdain very clear. After 40 years, I will no longer spend my hard earned dollars on your products. It would have been more honest to shut the program down, rather than mislead and insult.

Loyalty should go both ways.

You overcharge for your product, then dangle a carrot of rewards to try and "gain our loyalty" then when you pull it away you expect us to stick around? I feel sorry for the people who are addicted to soda and won't stop buying the product as a matter of principle. If you want change stick to your guns. Start making ice tea or buy one of those home soda machines until we give them a reason to change, like hurting their bottom line. Otherwise they will just laugh in the face of "soda junkies"

The new program is an utter and ridiculous sham on loyal customers. The offerings have been reduced to only a few meaningless drawings and nothing of substance such as gift cards or merchandise or offered. Coke has taken many steps backward in appealing to their loyal base and is insulting. I would give it a minus zero if I could - it is less than no sugar added.

The one star review is correct - it doesn't get any worse than this! I saved all my old codes that I didn't use before and kept saving more - what for? There are no rewards I want - oh wait, let me rephrase that - there are no rewards period - they are all contests! Like I'll ever win. What the hell is this? I even called them twice to complain - well apparently I was the only one each time. Even though I did it once before... so how can I be the only one? Anyway, once in a while, if you catch it right, you can put in codes for a $5 Amazon code or a movie ticket. Big whoop. What happened to the hundreds of actual rewards to choose from? Now it's 99% contests or give to charity. There is no reason to continue to specifically drink Coke anymore.

I did Coke rewards for 2 years. In that time their rewards were harder and harder to reach. I got a few things for free (magazines and cds) that I enjoyed. I was saving up for a bigger reward and one day my points were gone! They told me the points expire. So get what you can while you can. I won't be back.

I have been a loyal consumer of putting in codes for 10 years now! YES that's 10 years and have yet to win a darn thing. It is very disappointing and won't even encourage others to join as I have NOT won a thing in 10 years :( I am a very disappointed consumer. :( :( :(

Not worth the effort of even scanning the lid. You never win and you max out on attempts to enter your favorite giveaways. This is not a rewards program; a rewards program actually incentives loyalty. This program is more irritating than incentivizing..
