“Coke Lack of Rewards”

William s.
6/22/17

Coke went from providing hundreds of products for points to a Las Vegas Gamble on which you can't even play the game you want. Just like all those who wrote reviews before me, totally agree what a joke. You turn in points for the chance of wining something versus turning in points and actually getting something (at a healthy exchange in their favor). Very disappointed having been using a rewards member since 2006. But I am done. Hope the money they think they will save costs them dearly...

Why does the price f the coke keep going up then? I don't win and already paying for the prizes. What a joke! My time is more valuable than this! I can get paid $20 a week for not doing this! Annoying

Only thing I can figure is Coke was having a problem with the money involved in maintaining the old rewards program and is trying to ease out of it. Not a good transition. You just need to stop printing the codes on your products. No current rewards are worth collecting points. On the other hand it was great while it lasted

This isn't even worth a 1. I have collected coke points for 8 years and have seen the site go through changes but never anything that essentially wastes your time like this. Spending points on sweepstakes only is like tossing all the points in the trash. Extremely disappointed with Coke and I hope they hear us and change things back like they have in the past with other mistakes they've made. This does not show appreciation to consumers at all.

The old way was better... kept me buying coke products instead of store brand or Pepsi because I was getting Shutterfly codes or gift. Cards etc.
I've been trying to enter codes for several days and there are no programs to enter for. I'm sure the other way was costly, but so is losing business.

Bring back the old program. This is terrible. Coke should be ashamed. There was nothing wrong with the old program. I will not be purchasing any more coke products, until the new reward program comes back.

It seems that many people have posted their distaste for the new rewards program, I have been buying and collecting coke/codes, and was the main reason I chose to drink coke products. Hopefully after you get enough complaints, and your sales drop, you will come to your senses. I encourage everyone to speak out against this issue.

2018 second quarter earnings for KO (Coca-Cola) down 8% while PEP (Pepsi) is up 2.5%. Hopefully KO will collapse, get bought out by the Chinese and the new Chinese executives will know how to market this dying product.

Pepsi Stuff is back and yes, you use its codes to actually earn tangible merchandise. What a concept!

I am so disappointed, having been a mycokerewards member/player for many years. The new program does not really have rewards, rather a few sweepstakes that can be entered. Nothing like the old program and not even worth the time to collect and enter codes.

The new rewards system is just terrible. Really, they would have done better to just eliminate the whole thing, rather than trying to convince us that the new program was somehow an "improvement". What a load of crap! Boycott coke!

This new program is garbage! There are only "chances to win" something and it seems that no one ever wins! I was entering codes for a free movie ticket. I was one code away and then the reward was just... gone. It was no longer listed as a reward. So, I entered all of these codes toward that reward and they just disappeared. Ridiculous. Way to piss off your customers, Coca Cola. The old rewards program was 1000% better than this mess.

Like so many others here, I used to LOVE the My Coke Rewards program. Enter codes, save up points, pick cool prizes. What's not to love. THEN they changed it. Not so great, but at least I could still enter points and get AMC movie tickets, $5 Amazon cards, etc. THEN they changed it AGAIN. Complete waste of my time. No concrete prizes, only "chances to win." Haven't won one single thing from this new iteration. I'm done. I think it's time to throw my caps in the trash and switch to a healthier drink... WATER.

What a terrible program! Go back to the old system. There is no real incentive to collect codes. With the old reward system, you at least had some great merchandise to choose from. Now it's just Shutterfly, magazines, or sweepstakes. So much for collecting codes. So disappointed!

There are no rewards on this new program. Garbage! I have no idea why they changed it. Why fix something that was not broken. Is coke really do that badly that they had to more or less scrap the program as a hole. New site is complete trash. Caps are just pilling up waiting for a chance to redeem them. Shame on you coke!

I liked the old program where I could "buy" things. This one is absurd. Initially the chance of winning was the ultimate long shot and now they don't even do that. How hard would it be to have a few things to "buy"?

The rewards program used to be a lot of fun, but it went from providing fun Coca Cola swag, to providing sweepstakes entries, to only providing charity donations (and I'm pretty sure that Coke takes the tax credit for the donations). I'm guessing they are going to donate to those groups anyways, so all you get for the time spent entering rewards is to direct which of 4 charities gets the money.

Short of simply shutting down the program, this seems like a brand phase out program. Given the market challenges for soft drinks overall, you would think they would have further improved their existing program. This is a great case study for a brand management failure. I hope their sell through numbers reflect this poor decision, and result in a program which has value.

The new rewards is a scam. If I could give zero stars I would. I am left with a bag full of useless codes. Whoever thought of this reward switch is losing Coke business. Have been drinking Coke all my life but am switching to Pepsi

What an astounding way to drive your loyal customers away from your product. The person in charge of this fiasco needs to be fired. This isn't an upgrade it is a phase out. I am really sad to see this company crap all over their customers.

They ruined it when they changed it into charity. Rewards are supposed to be just that rewards for their customers not to make the company look good. I had so many pts saved up for a special item and u guys screwed me over. Not doing the rewards again thanks a lot.

I redeemed 2,000 points to get a "Misfit Shine" fitness tracker. When I received it, I was unable to use it with my phone - I do not have enough memory on my phone. I called the company to inquire about returning it. Their response was, "You may not return it to us because you can purchase more memory for your phone to use it". I am dumbfounded! 2000 points spent! Time to wean myself off of Diet Coke - it's so bad for you anyways...

Coke Rewards is a scam. Saved all kinds of cartons, caps and so forth only to learn that to really get something of value I had to keep adding. Everything was "locked" unless I signed on with social media. Well, I don't do social media. So, enough is enough. Switched to Pepsi and guess what. Tastes better and no screw job contests.

If the rewards points are only good toward sweepstakes, and there is nothing that they can be saved up for and spent on, what good does donating them toward a school or other organization do? What can they use them on (that those donating can't)?
I had been on the older program for years, enjoyed many movies from saving for AMC tickets.
I agree, don't bother continuing to print them on the caps & boxes if they can't be used.

I used to love Coke Rewards and would save up my codes for Shutterfly products and AMC snacks and movie tickets. I didn't mind that I had to save up 10 or 20 codes to get a reward. Now the site is nothing but contests that no one ever wins. Today I saw a $5 Target gift card offer so I entered my code only to find out it that is also a sweepstakes... no mention of that in the ad banner, which of course I didn't win. There is not a single "reward" on the site that is not an Instant-Win sweepstakes. So my bag of codes just keep getting bigger because I'd rather save them up for a real reward than waste them on an Insta-Win that I'll never win. Thanks, Coke.

The old program was worthwhile. The new one is mostly lotteries for a chance to win some award (75" TV). Reminds me of the games of skill at the travelling carnival. It takes forever to enter the codes and for what? A chance to win something. The old program was better. Had many and nicer rewards and the site allowed you to enter your 100 points in quickly each week. Every time I stop in to enter some of the points that are piling up now I end up not finding anything worthwhile or get pissed off on the inability to enter them in easily. Just not worth it. There is nothing rewarding about the new program.

I have been doing Coke Rewards since almost the begin and it seems to get worse each year. The last 2 years I have given most points to charity but wonder If it is really getting to the charity. I have supposedly won prizes but never receive them. Contacting them is hit and miss.
Coke has recently been pushing the app but it has more bugs than previous releases. Then I have discovered that not all contest are open to all Rewards members. How do they choose what members are eligible for certain contest.

The new program offers nothing except 1 in a million chance to win raffles for items I wouldn't want. Not worth it to save codes and definitely detracts from fun of being a faithful coke drinker. Did anyone else notice they also didn't announce with any or much notice to enter code prior to March... they didn't allow enough time to actually enter codes that you may have had sitting around given the limitations on how many you could enter it once. I'm going to stop drinking the product.

Such a shame what you have done! I enjoyed saving the reward points and made sure I only bought coke products. Not anymore! Have switched to diet A&W cream soda. Who ever came up with lame idea to change the rewards program is an idiot. For every one of use who takes time to voice out opinion, there are many, many more that are quiet. It was fun to gather the pionts and redeem them. Why?
