“Coke Lack of Rewards”

William s.
6/22/17

Coke went from providing hundreds of products for points to a Las Vegas Gamble on which you can't even play the game you want. Just like all those who wrote reviews before me, totally agree what a joke. You turn in points for the chance of wining something versus turning in points and actually getting something (at a healthy exchange in their favor). Very disappointed having been using a rewards member since 2006. But I am done. Hope the money they think they will save costs them dearly...

Why does the price f the coke keep going up then? I don't win and already paying for the prizes. What a joke! My time is more valuable than this! I can get paid $20 a week for not doing this! Annoying

Well, Coke. You've failed miserably with this farce of a rewards program. I haven't read one positive thing about it online. I have hundreds of codes awaiting your reversion back to an incentivized promo. Like all huge companies, you don't listen to your customers. It's your way or no way in order to save a buck. You're too big to fail. You have good products, and your company doesn't owe us promos; however, rotten rewards programs do not enhance your image. It's obvious that you have produced a crappy program on purpose for whatever selfish reasons you may have. If you're trying to save face, do so by entirely dropping what you call rewards. I'd respect you far more if you'd simply quit.

I've been with Coke rewards thru its many iterations over the past 12+ yrs and loved it till this last move. Huge variety of partners, cool items with a HUGE range of points redemption... the list now is pathetic and most touts "... enter for a chance to..." i. E. easily lose countless points for zero 'reward'. An insult to injury is regardless of single bottle cap, 12pk, 24 pk... are ALL same # of points.
The clearest message - actively (and effectively) decrease fan interest by watering down the program to no rewards and eventual demise.

I have stacks of codes because your last program would only let me enter so many a week. Now they will sit and collect dust because there is nothing worth using them on. This was definitely a downgrade to MYcoke rewards. Whoever came up with this bright idea should be fired. Go back to being an actual "rewards" program. There is nothing rewarding about your revamp.

The new program is no good. For a minute they had Amazon gift certificates (with a max of 2 per person), but at least it was something! The Walmart chance to win g. C. Makes me feel like I am just tossing the points away.
As a past MCR sweepstakes winner (3 day Busch Gardens all expenses paid trip a few years ago), I am grateful for the former program, but think this new version needs to be changed.

Publicly this program promises 1000's of prizes! Failure at its best. McD ap failure. It has nothing to do with McD ap. Who gets you to download it and register. Coke who is doing the promotion fails to even complete once a customer finishes registering to see what prise they may have won. To call it crap would improve what they have created. A tease and no follow through. I would call this constipation participation. What a failure!

The old site took forever to get a decent reward like a gift card or a product, but now you can't even get those. You enter codes for sweepstakes entries or something like a song download from a band you've never heard of. Not worth the time and effort of going to the site and entering the code, let alone being an incentive to purchase from them. They might as well not even have the codes anymore.

New program is AWFUL... Glad we are shifting to water and tea. The old system was better, I used it with my kids to clean parks and places we went to to clear liter. They got stuff and enjoyed but also realized they had to work for it. Now its all pot luck... any code can win... seems socialistic to me... everyone has a chance and here is your participation ribbon...

No more saving up codes for free item coupons, just tons and tons of sweepstakes. As a mom, entering the codes to earn soda coupons was the thing that keep me interested in the first place. If they don't offer something in addition to the sweepstakes soon, I won't have any interest in participating in the program again.

I entered the codes for the $5 Amazon gift card. I called customer service with no resolution. I was told to copy and paste the email verification which did not work. This is not right. Coke rewards program is a joke.

I'm not sure what the masterminds at Coke were thinking when they redesigned their Coke Rewards website, but I can guarantee you, they were not thinking of the customer. I find the new site cumbersome to use, and more effort than it is worth. It appears that I am not alone in my evaluation. So let's see Coke: Are you going to put the site back the way it was or lose a lot of customers? Your response will let us know how you feel about people who have been loyal for years (in my case 51 years!)

Tip for consumers:
Don't bother!

I've been drinking Coke for close to 60 years with all the changes you've made to "Better" the taste of Coke. Now you've screwed with Coke Zero... Yuk. Who ever the taste-testers were, you could have hired a bunch of chimps to do a better job because the new flavor tastes like WATERED DOWN PEPSI! Those taste-testers must have been eating onions right before they tasted the new product! All I taste is carbonated water and the fake sugar flavor of Aspartame. As for the new way to use our codes... that stinks too. Why change a good thing like rewarding us great folks with the ability to spend our points on free coupons for coke... I guess the owners aren't making enough profit. Ha!

The old rewards program required a lot of customer effort to enter codes and so forth but it was worth it in the long run. The new "program" is not fun, not interesting and certainly not worth the effort. Coke follows the suit of Kelloggs who totally destroyed their rewards program, which was also fun, a couple years ago. I stopped participating in it and now it is time to stop being a Coke loyalist too. Very sad. Who makes these horrible decisions?

Guess what?. As if MCR couldnt get any worse,... lol it has. The codes on caps and 12 packs has an expiration date, I've saved up thousands of caps and stopped using them until this new site starts and give it a chance before it disappoints me but now all those caps i have are trash (2 trash bags full). I don't know who or what caused coke to do this?. Is it a sociological experiment to enrage thousands. Lol

Yes the old system could be time consuming. But at least there were tons of options. I was a big user of Shutterfly rewards. Now there are only a handful of "chances to win" options, not really rewards... and they seem to be mostly sports related or promoting Coke products. I'm a huge loyal fan of Coca Cola... but as others have said, the rewards aren't worth the effort. Very sad about the change. Hope there are lots of reviews like mine... and maybe Coke will listen and make some changes.

Many years ago Coke decided that they wanted to tinker with the original coke formula and came out with the "New Coke." It was a disaster. Now Coke has done it again. What a bunch of dummies. Coke execs are you listening. "'Pepsi Please"

Constantly reducing the number of points you can enter. Constantly increasing the points to get rewards. Programming in a nagging urge for me to patronize social web sites I am not interested in and generally wasting my time of 3 minutes just to get signed into the site.
Program bugs also delay or stop me from entering more than one code.
Coke you need to hire some good programmers to alleviate the agony of MCR!

This new program sucks. Who ever thought this up really "screwed the pooch". Have enjoyed Coke for years and used the points to take my children to amusement parks, buy them gifts, and I have enjoyed the experience. This new program does none of this. I am switching to Pepsi or stop drinking soda overall. I encouraged my friends to drink Coke also and they would give me their caps. No more.

Lots of the Diet Coke caps don't work. It's not bad enough that many are unreadable! These were legible and still got the "error entering" message. I also noticed that the weekly entry maximum is down and the points required for the best items is up. I guess life-long Coke drinkers aren't valued anymore. Oh well... time to switch to tea!

I just lost 2,000 points! I was a loyal customer of Coca Cola and now I'm so mad they can keep it. I'm going to drink Pepsi from now in. They lost my information with the new and so unimproved coke rewards deal of 2015. When they started the new deal everything evaporated. And when you call customer service they say you should email them. Then they ignore your emails! So I called and finally got thru only to find out they can't do anything I need to email them. And I'm back to nothing at all.

I am in total agreement with everyone here. I am furious about how coke slowly decreases weekly point accrual, increases point cost for items, requires participation in outside programs (social media), and then has the audacity to say their actions are an 'improvement' and that they're 'listening and responding' to their customers' concerns. And being evasive with their answers when confronted. Well, I'm going to take the advice of two of the posters here and file a complaint with FTC, and also to take them to small claims. I urge everyone reading this to do the same, and I'll be telling everyone I know to do the same.

I have to agree with other reviews. I guess they were giving out too many free soda's or something. This new program is not worth the effort. I guess I will slow down on drinking soda, which is better for you anyway. No need to drink them like I was when the reward program is like this.

Not much to choose for rewards! Some of the ones they do have available are of no interest to me ~ Speed Way, Shutterfly (you end up spending too much for shipping), and AMC (not available in my area). I liked the old program better, much more to use your rewards on!

I am so incredibly disappointed with Coca Cola. They no longer reward their customers. Rather if you want to enter your codes you are forced to donate your rewards. To me it is a slap in the face as a customer. It seems to validate the "disposable" attitude in the world today.

For years I saved points to cash in for Movie Tickets and Amazon Gift Cards. I definitely felt it was worth the effort to input the codes each week. I'm really bummed about the new program. I have a whole bucket full of bottle caps that I'll probably toss out very soon since the new program doesn't entice me to log in. I keep hoping the Coke Execs will reinstate some type of cumulative point system. I definitely felt there was a payoff for patronizing Coke products during the former program.
