“Coke Lack of Rewards”

William s.
6/22/17

Coke went from providing hundreds of products for points to a Las Vegas Gamble on which you can't even play the game you want. Just like all those who wrote reviews before me, totally agree what a joke. You turn in points for the chance of wining something versus turning in points and actually getting something (at a healthy exchange in their favor). Very disappointed having been using a rewards member since 2006. But I am done. Hope the money they think they will save costs them dearly...

Why does the price f the coke keep going up then? I don't win and already paying for the prizes. What a joke! My time is more valuable than this! I can get paid $20 a week for not doing this! Annoying

Coke points not worth saving. All they have now is "sweepstakes" which just gambles away your points. Bring back the purchase with points program or get rid of the points all together.

It's better because I'm no longer a slave to their products. I don't have to wait for sales on their products so I get my codes at a decent price. I don't have to forgo buying other items I need because I needed to stock up on the week their items are on sale. My budget is easier to manage because I buy what I want when I want. Recycling is so much easier because I don't have to rinse out all those bottles, I just leave the cap on! That saves me time and money on water too. I also save A LOT of time not saving & sorting caps, cutting boxes & plastic and the tedious job of trying to read and enter all those damn codes. I save even more money not having to print out gift certificates. It's also nice that I don't feel compelled to rummage through recycling bins or pick bottles up off the ground anymore LOL! When I look at all the savings in time and money I feel it more than makes up for the gift 'cards' I earned. I've also found it easier and more rewarding to get rewards from Walmart, Target and my local grocer (Publix). While I still enjoy the occasional cola, I'm glad I only drink a fraction of what I used to and that I'm not supporting a company that blatantly lies to it's loyal customers and clearly demonstrates it has ZERO regard for that loyalty. When I consider all the benefits of not having to participate in the new program there'e only one conclusion I reach, for me it is indeed better!

I faithfully entered my points daily with the old program so that I could get movie tickets and soda for my family would take awhile but it was worth it... They said when this new so called program took over it was going to be so great that you didn't have to store up points and just go for what you wanted... WEEELLLL there's absolutely nothing to go for, I thought let me give it some time maybe it will get better as it is new, it's been 7 months and nothing, SOOOOO I officially have given up and don't buy coke as much anymore would rather just go for cheap on sale brand being as I no longer have an incentive... BYE BYE COKE YOU SUCK!

I agree with the negative reviews. I just sent them an email as well. Told them how much I hate the new program and let them know I would be purchasing Pepsi going forward.

If I wanted a chance to win money I would buy a lottery ticket. There are no rewards, just crap chances to win money and gift cards that probably don't exist.

12 digit code are out, only 14 digit, it was not out when I paid dear for them with the 12 digit codes, but they say it made room for more people to play by doing 14 digit. WHY DOES THAT MEAN YOU CANNOT STILL USE THE 12 digit codes that you paid dear for?
I think I am thirsty for a PEPSI! Coke rhymes with joke, cause it is a joke!

The new rewards only reward Coke. It is a disappointment and a waste of time. I still like Coke better than the other cola choices. But I'm out of the rewards business

My computer and connection aren't perfect, but will open any site on the web - almost. I can find and contact a lawyer, read the news, get the weather forecast, use eBay and Amazon to buy and sell, and do all my emailng through Gmail webmail. The exception is that no matter how long I wait, it cannot, it WILL not, open My Coke Rewards.

This website is strictly for fun, and tailored mostly to the under-12 crowd. Who else would take the time to enter an almost unreadable 14-digit code to get points worth a couple of cents? But it is NOT fun when the website will not open except to the very newest, latest, best and fastest technology - and how many kids have that? How many children are being frustrated because they no longer can use something they enjoyed, and how many parents are being inundated with demands for the latest, newest, fastest technology so their kids can enter a code worth a couple of cents? And how many of those parents are responding by saying "We drink NO more Coke in this household!"? (Just the sensible ones, I'd say.)

My Coke Rewards used to have a user-friendly website. It opened a little slowly but OK, and even had a link to click if a kid had any trouble entering his codes. That link went to a page that opened and worked with lighting speed. Now the entire site can be used only by people with the fastest 5% of connections on the planet. It's a shame. Used to be fun - sort of.

Tip for consumers:
Don't bother unless you have the latest, newest, fastest technology *and* are willing to enter a long, almost unreadable code to get points worth a couple of cents. This is just for kids.

I used to diligently enter points to get some Coca Cola shirts. After the switch to this awful "new" program, I DID switch to Pepsi and threw away all the left over coke caps. Good bye.

Can't even gets codes entered anymore. After one code, you get an error say "We didn't get that". After a day or two, you can enter one more code until you get the error again.

Horrible. Not worth saving the coke points anymore. Very disappointed. Nothing to choose from. I am upset I had people saving the points for me and now I am not going to use them.

The changes to mycokerewards is horrible. The social aspect is worthless. Less points per week. Less value in the rewards which were already not very valuable.

Not worth putting in points.

I have a lot of codes that I will not use. I have stopped purchasing Coke products. If we, the consumers, really want to make a statement we have to stop buying coke products.

Loved the old program! The "new program" is nonexistent. The site is confusing and a sham if you call it a loyalty program. A big disappointment from a great company.

The program is a joke and illegal in most states. It is illegal to require you to make a purchase (to get the code) to enter a sweepstakes/game of chance. Coke, are you listening?

This new program is basically only for Verizon customers. Otherwise, there is no reward for you. My hatred for this new program is too immense to be measured with words.

Coke should have just canceled the program. There is no rewards in the program, as much as I dislike Pepsi, will try to learn to. Will drink a lot more water but not Dasani

MCR has be down, for me, several months. In the past they have erased my points twice, they did restore them when called; but I simply haven't be able to sign in since May of this year. Each time I call I'm told A) They have changed the website; and they say it in such a way as to indicate that they did more than just 'change' it! B) I must have the latest version of a 'compatible' browser; I'm using the same updated browser I've always used, (either FF or Chrome)! C) I must clear cookies; I automatically clear cookies once a week anyway just to keep my history clean. D) I must be sure to clear the browser's cache; which I do as with cookies. So, according to Coke I 'shoulld' be good to go, right? Wrong! When clicking "Sign In" I'm taken to another MCR page, black screen, with red words, information page where I'm able to select what I might like information on and the ability to type to a virtual assistant. Also, each time I've called, the agent says they are able to click "Sign In" and are taken directly to the SI page; well hell, would you expect them to say anything else? Once I tell the agent I've done all that they require, they turn surly and state they can't do anything else, in a 'I don't care' tone of voice; kind of makes you wonder!? I have tried different computers and different locations, they just aren't playing anymore and won't come out and say so. Does anyone know someone who IS able to sign in?

Basically you save your My Coke Rewards codes and enter them in for prizes and such. Some of the prizes are kind of cheezy and in my opinion nothing I would save like crazy for, and the ones that are really good have an astronomical point value. However my husband drinks an insane amount of Coke and we do save our rewards.
I turn mine in for coupons for free food or drink that they will snail mail you. You can also get free Club Pogo memberships by turning in your codes - my son enjoys this very much. Also, you can get the codes off of anything manufactured by CocaCola, including Powerade and Desani water, so it's not just Coke you have to drink.
The things I don't like are the site only allows you to enter 120 points a week which is kind of a pain in the butt... I like to enter whatever I have all at once and not have stuff hanging around my house... but it works for me I guess. And also if you don't turn in points or trade for a reward for 90 days your account is considered inactive and you will lose any points you have banked. I have a friend that this happened to, but she did say she called the company and they had great customer service and replaced her points for her. All in all, if you or someone in your house drinks a lot of Coke products, this is a decent site.

Everyone has pretty much summed up what I think of the new "rewards" program. Coke should be ashamed and I will buy whatever is on sale now!
