Be warned! Really good until you get sucked in and "bam!" here comes ep 5 and on, the level of homosexual and transgender/drag-queen content slaps you across the face! What is wrong with these people who create this content. Are we no-longer allowed to just have a cool fantasy show without having this sh*t shoved in our faces. I never cared if people were gay, but brother let me tell you how I feel now. I cannot stand it. Shove this in our faces almost 24/7 and drive a huge community away from your business. *signed* America! Ps. They need to at least warn a person, just stating sexual content does not prepare you for a grown man telling a woman how much he likes to f**k her son and visa versa! (Any heterosexual couples in this show are at odds and fighting as if they are always toxic, as if gay is the way. Wtf?) call me homophobic all damn day, I call you sick and perverted. Disgusting.
I forgot I had a Netflix account until I saw it pop up in my bank statement. I gave it another look and found there wasnt much there to rationalize the monthly payments. Almost an instant cancel A few forums and articles mentioned a suspiciously affordable but legitimate SelectTV (https://goo.gl/YCyy34), which seemed to have more than enough to suit my modest appetite for entertainment. For a casual viewer like me not looking to spend much I've found its practically perfect. Even enthusiasts should find it has plenty of options. I still havent tried Hulu or Amazon, but I see no reason to at this point.
I think that Netflix has really gone down hill in the three years I have subscribed. I know that it's "cheap" but they should still offer something for our money. The shows they are adding now are truly inferior, boring and impossible to finish. A great new show or series is rare. Even the 2nd season of "Bloodlines" was a real snoozer - even my kids hated it.
I could make a list of 100 classic movies they could add but apparently there is no interest on their part in quality entertainment - only dollars. I'm probably close to the end of my subscription days and will go back to reading.
Though I have limited my interest to movies that can be found downloaded through their website, for the price it is nice to see some 80s and 90s movie hits that haven't been forgotten. It may take a few minutes of dedicated searching, yet it does provide an alternative to Redbox, etc., for evening entertainment.
I had Netfix way back when they sent you DVDs in the mail. When you could rent current movies. Now, I have TWICE signed up and quit my membership within the first month because I can't find anything to watch! If there are any movies that you've even heard of, they're all ten years or older. Nothing current. Biggest waste of money. Amazon prime offers better. I bought a Roku and that offers a lot more options, (including Netflix). I'm not sure what happened a while back with these people but they can't seem to offer any real decent movies. I wouldn't waste my time if you're looking for current entertainment.
While it is nice to have a streaming service for videos I find my self watching less and less of Netflix.
I have had a subscription for several years and I find content lacking.
While they do produce some of their own shows now, other new content is rare.
Additionally been having more and more hang ups, or unavailable service when attempting to view videos.
(This has been from their end, I checked on different devices and on other ISP's)
(Will be leaving to join Hulu this month will review it later this year)
Netflix changed my life. - i joined netflix in 2004 and have been a loyal member ever since, even from Guatemala. Though they don't deliver there, I've got the account going for my parents while I'm living abroad, with the agreement that they don't touch my queue or ratings. Netflix has nearly everything i want in terms of independents, documentaries, artsy fartsy obscure, asia extreme, etc. they are 99.9% of the time on time, and when there are issues with their receiving DVDs back from me, there's never a problem with resolving those issues. They're fairly responsive when i request a DVD that they don't have. I only wish they were faster in terms of making the more obscure flicks available. Also, the help center could use some improvement. It can take me some time to find out where and how i can email customer service.
I've heard complaints, but Netflix provides an important service to my family. We have online streaming, that's it, but its all we need to get all the entertainment we need. Whether its cable, Dish, etc. it all became far to expensive, considering I'm discriminatory. I found that the quality of good TV dropped and we watched few channels. Just not worth it! Netflix gives me not only something I can afford, but Netflix gives me only what I like!
I have had Netflix for a long time, within the last year I have been mostly streaming. My one DVD out at a time tends to sit on my coffee table for two months. Thats not really the point. The point is I am a long time customer and suddenly they want to double the price on me? The letter we got in the email explaining the increase was basically "were raising the price, to bad if you don't like it" They did not offer a grandfathered in price or anything. I chose to kick the DVDs and just keep streaming, but i can tell you, just because of how they handled it, if i ever find someone else with a decent stream library then I will be a former Netflix customer.
Netflix is truly one of those things that is totally reliable and you get what you pay for. It has Netflix only shows like better call Saul which is related to breaking bad. It has loads of movies and I could watch movies from it all day.
I'm a post price update netflix user. I've kept the online instant plan and dropped the dvd's. I think it's fair price for the amount I use it. The quality of a movie isn't the greatest, but I'm sure they can work on it as they restructure.
I pay $17 a month for this service because I can't afford cable TV, but this service ends up being removed from devices. I can't afford to go out and buy a new TV or Blue Ray when this happens. I like to watch the big screen in my living room, not on some hand held device that is difficult for someone with MS.
I have a college student who under other circumstances would be "at home", however for at least the next 3-6 years he is in another city. So now I have to feed the pathetic CEO and Board members who are clearly suffering in this economy! Boo fckn Hoo! What a $#*!hole corporation!
My Netflix keeps freezing every time we try to watch and when we ask to chat with someone it says here is an agent only for it to be an automated assistant. This is not customer service this is we are jacking up please don't really talk to us to. Then the automated response tells you the same thing to do over and over and when you do it what is their response the exact same thing as before try this turn off this log out is this and none of it is helpful…what's the point of having and paying for a service that works maybe half the time?
If you have the uk version you get less things than the American version which is rather unfair considering they pay the same amount... it is good at first but then after a month or two once you've seen everything you've been recommended and want to, it's just abit dead tbh.
NetFlix.com is fantastic for a number of reasons, not the least of which is their company identity / personality. This company really gives the impression of being a good corporate citizen. I mean, they are not "greed" based. They are extremely inexpensive for the service they deliver. SO cheap for what you get that you might even feel guilty using this service! They recently raised their prices but ONLY because the movie studios were giving them a hard time because they weren't making enough of a profit. Even with the higher price structure, this is still the greatest bargain I've ever seen! Also, picture quality and speed is terrific. They also get 5 stars on the movies they recommend I watch based on the ones I liked.
Nothing really new to say, great for the things it does have, and they certainly have been improoving their supply of shows lately, but #1 when I am killing a weekend by blitzing 3 seasons of a show I don't need a screen popping up asking if I am still there... and #2 I really wish they would stop double listing shows. It takes more time finding something to watch than watching something... stop putting 1 show in 15 categories it barely fits into... I need an option to just go through every show in alphabetical order, those categories are useless.
I have had Netflix for about a year. Use it almost every day and I have only ever had a problem once when Better Call Saul was released so i assumed the website was bombarded with viewers. That problem was fixed within 20 mins and I was happily streaming.
This was the worst movie I ever saw. It is so racist against white Jewish people. I suggest this movie be removed and thrown in the garbage. I was so insulted. Shame on Jonah Hill for co writing this and staring in it. Also how could Julia Louis Drefyus and Rhea Perlman work on this. I guess they have no respect for their heritage. It doesn't deserve any stars.
The streaming service itself works almost flawelessly. The major problem is that they keep removing/replacing the shows that have already won viewers' hearts. I understand it all comes down to the underlying contract agreements, but it is disheartening o wake up one morning syked to binge on a show, only to discover it's been dropped.
Answer: They do not, but he can listen to stand up shows I guess
Answer: Ohh finally someone thats having the same problem... Netflix always blames my Wi-Fi but, I know thats not the problem. Considering canceling.
The company has a mixed reputation, with some customers appreciating its extensive library of content and user-friendly interface, which enhances the viewing experience. However, numerous complaints highlight significant dissatisfaction with rising subscription costs, technical issues like slow loading times, and customer service inadequacies. Many users express frustration over billing problems and the perceived decline in content quality, particularly regarding Netflix originals. Overall, while the platform remains popular for its variety, the growing concerns about service reliability and customer support suggest a need for improvement to retain loyal customers.
