Placed an order on NEWEGG, they billed my credit card and without any notice they canceled my order 7 days later. I only found out after I went to my PayPal account and saw it was canceled. I will never buy from them again. They also allow resellers on their site so you never know if the merchandise is legit or new. Buyer beware...
I bought a 1500$ computer from Newegg recently, I received a faulty computer that I barely could use for a month. First before I could return it I had to go through a gruesome process with MSI that tried their best to convince me it wasn't a hardware error, which it was. The only nice part of my experience with newegg is the issuance of a replacement and the conversation I had with customer service at that point.
After they received the computer, it took the two days to test it and accept it was broken. Then it took another day for them to realize that the computer I bought was now out of stock, since it has been replaced by MSI with a newer model. The procedure was then to issue a refund, which would be in my account in 3-5 business days.
In the following conversation with customer service, I suggested another computer. In the following conversation I had with customer service, the agent abruptly cancelled in the middle of our conversation.
Having friends who have used newegg and had similar experiences I would recommend you going somewhere else. Amazon will provide you with the same goods, but far superior customer service.

When I tried to return a failing fan I bought for my computer, Newegg tried to charge me $8 for the refund of a $7 fan! Got ahold of customer service online, and he fixed it for me, saying dont bother sending it back, just toss it. Also, gave me the full refund (online, of course) His name is Hugh F. Thanks Hugh!
However... I have dealt with the company for 10 yrs; when I first started they were by far the most reliable, open, and trustworthy company and they would have 5 stars no problem. Now they are completely different. The are no longer a computer items company at all. Now they sell: office furniture, janitorial supplies, air conditioners, automotive parts, refrigerators, sofas, women' s panties... the list goes on and on. They are no longer a computer/electronic parts company; they are trying to be another Amazon.com, but are failing miserably, at least from the customers standpoint.
One more thing: whenever I check for an item I am interested in, I am more than likely to see that it is being sold; not by Newegg, but from Achmeds Electronics in Nowhere NJ! I built my first computer in 1974, (just a small red bulb, and a beep, but still...) and bought my first computer as soon as the floppy disk came out, and built my first as soon as the components were readily available, so. Trust me, I know what I am talking about.
Newegg, remember: in any business the first and by far the most important thing is to TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS! Otherwise, in time, you will become nothing but a memory.

So, in the past, I had always done the vast majority of my shopping at Newegg. They have a great product selection, and a very easy to use filter/sort system for categories. Since newegg was bought out a few years ago now, things have slowly made a turn for the worse. I continue to find that "deals" are rarely even deals anymore. I can usually find items from other major retailers (no specific names will be given) that are better priced even when not on sale. The customer service has basically decided that its customers dont matter and it has really started to show in a few particular transactions this last year. The worst part for me is the misleading shipping times. The actual shipping time estimates are usually fine. The part that they are not upfront about is the pre-shipment prep time, which has gotten pretty ridiculous recently. 3-day shipping becomes 6-7 day shipping essentially. Dont even bother with free shipping, as it will quite literally take almost 2 weeks in most circumstances. My advice for using newegg is like a Christmas catelog: look for what you want there, buy elsewhere (my recommendation is the E-tailer giant that may or may not rhyme with wamazon). Seriously, just dont bother with them unless you cant find the thing you're looking for anywhere else.

My first (and now last) order with newegg went sour. I signed up as a "member" and ordered a projector. Next day, I get a message saying they had voided my order and I had to re-order. I called them to find out why and was told they could not validate my credit card information. I asked what was wrong and was told that by the customer service POC that he did not have access to that information. I was asked for some validation information and was told everything matched and that I would be contacted by someone who could correct the problem. I was contacted and informed that they had corrected the validation issue on their end and I could re-order. Still, I was provided no information as to why my order was voided. Why did they simply not process my order? I went back to their website and discovered they had raised the price on the projector I had ordered. I believe that they voided my order to avoid selling me the unit at their previously advertized price. My credit card company records show that he charge was processed and is pending! I am not going to waste my time dealing with an outfit that treated me this way, especially when there are so many reputable companies that sell at a good prices. My experience is not something that I can recommend.

I am so frustrated and have never experienced anything like this. I ordered a new battery backup for computer. Never bought anything from Newegg before. They had a great special. When I received it, it was placed straight in a shipping box. No manual or cd. I went ahead hooked it up an alarm sounded with an alert on display saying failure. A I returned this battery backup EXACTLY HOW I RECEIVED IT. I called newegg right away [as soon as I could get a hold of someone took a day] I explained there was NO MANUAL, CD, OR EVEN RETAIL BOX. When I start it up it said failure and can't even look up what that means because it doesn't have a manual. This was over 2 weeks ago. I spent 3 days trying to get a hold of someone. Transferred several times grrrr. I just received an email saying I'm not getting a replacement because nothing was included in my return. I want to scream I'm so pissed. That cost $124 and there's no way I'm going to be scammed. I'm so upset. I just want my money back don't even want a replacement! This is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure they sent me a refurbished one only thing I makes sense and now they are trying to rip me off. I'm so frustrated and mad at myself for ever trying newegg. I'm not going to let them take me for $124!

The product is fine, but some seller charges a high premium. I waited a long time for Newegg to list it for $169 and bought it immediately, thinking I got a deal, especially during this pandemic.
However, 5 days after my purchase, Newegg is selling it for $149. It was fine, so I called and asked for a price match. It took the representative 15 minutes to look it up. I waited but was informed Newegg would not refund me the $20 difference because it is black friday sale right now. They left me the only option to return my first order ($169) and place a second order ($149), plus I had to pay for the return shipping (~$12).
Of course I didn't do anything in the end--my time is much more worth than a few bucks. The only time I buy from Newegg rather than from Amazon is when Newegg has sales. But since Newegg doesn't honor its price match policy during holiday seasons, I'd avoid it completely in future. At least you get worry-free return on Amazon, or other local stores. There are a few Reddit threads talking about Newegg's terrible price match policy. Read them before you buy.
For any of you thinking about buying it, the lowest price I've seen is $149 for your reference. Don't pay a premium on these!

NewEgg didn't want refund money to my PayPal Account.
I made purchased on eBay store NewEgg May 16,2018. In some hours I received email from *******@newegg.com - Newegg - Order Cancellation Verification Issue
I check eBay and PayPal - eBay order still not cancelled and PayPal still not refunded.
I called NewEgg - they answered that money was refunded to my PayPal. But it's lie.
I called eBay and after PayPal. They told me that if seller cancelled purchased he should refund money right now and cancel eBay purchase of course.
After I called NewEgg again - no help. Only in some hours I received on eBay case closing purchase. But I can accept it because of eBay notice: You should only accept the cancellation request if you haven't paid yet or you've already received your refund from the seller. If you haven't received your refund.
I called PayPal again they told me that I should open PayPal dispute to resolve this problem.
Absolutely inadequate shop. Waste money and time. Didn't want refund money to my PayPal Account.

Tried ordering from another site who backordered me as soon as they couldn't upsell me. Found my 65" OLED here on NewEgg and ordered. Immediately I knew it would be a different experience when I received confirmation of my payment, order and shipping details. My TV arrived a day early in perfect working order! Skip the ABCTV route and order from someone who DOES deliver!
I ordered a SSD hard drive early on Wednesday July 29th way before their cutoff time for same day order processing. I use Shop Runner which is 2 day shipping. Friday rolled around and I still did not get a shipping notification but I did get a notice that their New Jersey location was doing inventory and the drive would be shipped that day. If they had put a notice about the inventory and delayed shipping I never would have ordered the item. I didn't get a shipping notice until early July 5th and according to the tracking number I am not getting the item until Thursday which is too late. When I informed my customer of the delay they cancelled the upgrade so now I am out the money I would have made and now I will have a hard drive that I may or may not sell in the near future. It is not 2 day shipping, it's more like 7 day shipping and I have lost a very irate customer. Newegg said that they were going to refund the shipping cost but that will be a good trick since it was free 2 day shipping. I am a member of Amazon Prime and I would have had the drive by last Friday or Saturday at the latest guaranteed. Amazon's prices are just a good as Newegg and they don't screw up shipping. I don't know what I was thinking ordering from Newegg but that will be my last order with them.

I purchased a "NIB" Asus ROG Rampage V edition 10 motherboard ($500) on 5/30/18. It was obvious that this was an open box as it was missing things, even the antistatic bag.
The MB was defective (wonder why it was returned in the first place!). I was issued an RMA by Newegg. After returning the MB back to Newegg at my cost, they "rejected" the claim based on a rebate being available. At this time, the rebate was not longer offered. Newegg returned the MB and stated that I had to send the MB to ASUS. 2 weeks later, the MB arrived and now I had to send it off to ASUS at my cost.
As of this writing, I still do not have a MB and I am out $500 thanks to Newegg.
I did file a complaint with the BBB and the AZ Attorney General's office. The BBB has responded, then Newegg stating that they wished I did not take that approach.
All I want is what I paid for. Had Newegg just exchanged the MB, I would not be writing this.

Get a new customer service team. They are awful and rude. Marie is the worst and gives you attitude when you are simply trying to resolve your issue. Since this company has been bought out, the services have gone completely downhill. Customer service treats you like garbage and then when you call them out on it, you get a measly 20 bucks as if that's the magic wand to fix the problem. Thinking that you can provide dog crap tier customer service and then buy back the customer is silly and would not be necessary if your team treated people like human beings. I have unsubscribed from all promotions and will not be a return customer. The only reason I will return to newegg is to further tarnish neweggs image for their laughable attempt at getting return business. Amazon happily took my money and will be getting me what newegg couldn't on time. Been a customer with newegg since 2012 (sadly) and have literally watched as my used to be favorite retailer dropped like a pooh in a toilet. I will do everything I can to make sure people know not to shop newegg anymore.

Recently ordered a laptop from Newegg, and it included a bunch of free promotional items. A backpack, and a free fortnite bundle.
This was Deception #1. The fortnite bundle was not free, they charged me $49.50 to my credit card for the game. This is ridiculous because Fortnite is absolutely FREE game anyone can download.
Deception #2: Shipping on the laptop was supposed to be 3 days, but they shipped it via Fedex ground which took 5 days instead of three. If I put a similar sized package into the Fedex ground system it indicates 5 days. 3 days was a lie. I was badly in need of a new laptop, and would have gladly paid for shipping, but they lied.
I got the laptop OK, but customer service was terrible. In total, I spoke to 3 customer service reps. They wouldn't refund my money, and further calls to follow up resulted in customer service re[s that argued, didn't listen, and even a supervisor (Vicky) that refused to help get my money refunded.
The free gifts are a scam they use to increase profits. I will never order from Newegg again. You are better off going to Amazon.

I first bought from Newegg in 2001 and have been a loyal customer, off and on, for a long time.
Recently bought a new TV, arrived with half dead pixels. "Ok, no problem" I thought because Newegg was a good company, right? Oh man. It's now been over 2 weeks, I received the following promises:
1) Your return label is 2 day - lie 12/7/2015
2) Your RMA will be expedited - lie 12/7/2015
3) I will set your RMA to be expedited and 2 day shipping back to you (other customer service rep, noting that it was standard) - lie 12/18/2015
I just got off the phone with "RMA specialists" - they were rude and hostile. I explained I was upset about this process and the rep noted "it will take 2-5 days to process your RMA, we just received it Saturday" (now Tues). I asked about the expedited RMA - "I don't see anything, well I see one thing here - I guess it might be faster than 2-5 days."
Seriously? Not only will I not be able to give my Christmas gift that I ordered almost a month ago, but I hope I get it before New Year's...
Pathetic process, pathetic customer service. I can even understand laziness, but for employees to get hostile with customers is beyond a business mistake, it's unacceptable.

Bad experience for no good reason. Worse follow up.
I saw a good deal on a good product. I tried to buy. However, I wanted to use PayPal. For reasons that no one can figure out, Newegg would not ship to my CONFIRMED PayPal address. They would ship only to an obsolete address. The website locked me into that option. That address was no longer present on my PayPal account. Not even the PayPal customer service people could find it. Newegg Customer service was no help. Policies are policies.
Now, here's where it gets weird:
I posted a negative review on another review site. Newegg customer service tracked me down and also had that review deleted because I had not made a purchase.
Of course, that was my complaint: I couldn't make a purchase I wanted to make! If I'd been able to make a purchase, I wouldn't have had a complaint.
The site policies required only an intent to make a transaction ("shopping, but not necessarily buying" in normal person talk).
The point is: Newegg gets good reviews because they hunt down and eliminate bad reviews.
Be careful. Things will probably go well for you, but if they don't, too bad.
