Highly recommended for computer parts and electronics in general. Much wider selection than Best Buy, and better service than Fry's. Very quick standard shipping, usually arriving within 3 days. I've even purchased a few refurbished items, all of which continue to work.
Placed an order on NEWEGG, they billed my credit card and without any notice they canceled my order 7 days later. I only found out after I went to my PayPal account and saw it was canceled. I will never buy from them again. They also allow resellers on their site so you never know if the merchandise is legit or new. Buyer beware...
My video card is defective. It does not function as advertised. I contacted NewEgg and they directed me to the manufacturer. I went through the support at the manufacturer and they RMAd the card. The new card had the same exact issue. I called the manufacturer again and said it was a known defect and to contact newegg.
I then contacted NewEgg and informed them of the situation. They authorized an RMA with them. Even though the serial numbers would be different because the card had been replaced, they said as long as it had all the pieces they would honor the return.
I mailed the unit and received an email that the RMA has been rejected because the serial numbers do not match... I have since spoken to half a dozen different representatives who, after an hour of holds and explanations, understand the situation and tell me I will get a credit that day. I've spent countless hours just trying to get this resolved.
Finally after posting a review they contact me back and fix the RMA. Unfortunately, they gave me half my money back and half a gift card and refuse to do anything about it. I've already bought a new card, how long exactly was I supposed to wait for a credit that was rejected multiple times.
I tried going through their "*******@newegg.com" email and got the same run around and poor customer service I got on the phone.
Do yourself a favor and go with a retailer that stands behind their products and will make things right on the first attempt not the 12th...
Wide selection and fast delivery but bad customer service. Ordered a PC on 10/24/17 for $1299 and on 11/19/17 it went down to $1099. I chatted with customer service and they told me to send it back and to order another the new one at the lower price. They sent me a RMA and call tag and I thought at this point my experience was awesome but then I read that there was a 25% restocking fee which the rep forgot to mention. I called again asking to get some kind of refund and the best they offered was a gift card. I called the next day and spoke with a manager who recited how their price match policy says "only within 14 days" but I reminded her that policy only stated for competitors and not their own merchandise, since this was sold and shipped by Newegg. In the end she wouldn't budge. Then there was the $500 monitor that I bought through Newegg but was shipped by Pixio and had crackling noises, lots of screen clouding, and had issues with the displayport. I asked Newegg for an RMA but never got a response, emailed again never got a response, and finally live chatted with them and they said there would be a restocking fee! I contacted Pixio (BTW they are great) and they said they would replace the monitor for free and said they normally don't do this but they understand how Newegg can be very difficult (how did they read my mind). Overall I got the items I wanted but Newegg's customer service and return policy are very lacking. Next time I will probably go though Amazon or pay the premium and go big box store for the security of returning/exchanging an item and price matching.

One of my favorite places to buy electronics. Always had fast delivery and always nicely packaged. No complaints.
The platform is pro-seller and anti-buyer. I had an issue where the seller shipped a completely wrong item.
My history with Newegg dates back to my first computer build in 2003 with many builds and components since. I remember orders being shipped the next day with fast shipment times. I'll admit that in the last year I've become an Amazon junkie because, well... If I don't get stuff the same day, it's 2 days max. Incredible. However, I decided to give Newegg a shot with a new motherboard and CPU last week... What a mistake! I ordered Sunday 12/6 with 3-day shipping (Newegg 3 day) specified. The order didn't get shipped until Tuesday 12/8 and they incorrectly shipped UPS ground versus the 3-day I paid for. The package won't arrive until 12/14! That's 8 calendar days after the order was made.
This was the last order I will place with Newegg. To put things in perspective, on Thursday 12/10 (while I'm waiting for my package from Newegg that won't arrive until the following Monday), the same components on Amazon have a Prime member option for delivery by Saturday 12/12. That's 2 calendar days from order and 2 calendar days before the Newegg shipment will arrive which was ordered a week before! And, good luck trying to get in contact with anyone from Newegg to get your shipping refunded. You'll sit on the phone for hours and the live chat is a joke. When you first log in to chat, you're greeted by a message saying it will be a 42 minute wait. After the wait time counted down to 29 minutes, it reset to 45 minutes... LOL...

Sadly, when it comes to Marketplace orders and claims, if the seller is unable to provide the item ordered, since Newegg does not have the ability to fulfill third party orders as far as replacements go when it comes to the claims process, and it is not a direct item sold and shipped by Newegg, but the seller instead, a refund will be issued on behalf of the seller if they fail to assist further.
While we are glad to hear we were able to issue the funds back, I do want to apologize that the seller was unable to process the order in a timely manner.

BUT when you try to return:
- get ready for huge RMA fees
- get ready to be scammed: we paid $400+shipping for a product. We ended up with $320 less shipping after all the scams (and that's for untouched unopened packages of items that are returnable and were returned promptly)
- don't bother calling customer service: you will be on hold for ages and then the system will simlply respond with "good-bye" and cut off

Depending on the reason for the return, a customer service agent must manually remove the 15% restocking fee when a refund is requested and the agent can issue a prepaid UPS shipping label to be used in returning the item to Newegg at no cost to the customer. I've been using this site since I first moved out, I've never bought parts or a computer from anywhere else (I bought a flash drive at Wal-Mart once, so I guess I'm lying). My dad has never bought from anyone else, either, so I guess it runs in the family. Neither of us has ever had a problem with an item we purchased from Newegg. The prices at Newegg are consistently 25-50% lower than buying from Wal-Mart or Best Buy or some other random store. They provide customer reviews of every item they stock, so you have a great chance to tell what you're getting beforehand. The site is clean, easy to navigate and user-friendly. What more could you ask for?
I've used this site to make my own computers, purchase any technology needs, used it to rebuild friend's computers, and used it for a home business rebuilding/upgrading computers. Out of some 100+ items I've bought, I've had one that died on me. It was refurbished and I knew I was taking that risk, so when it failed, I sent it back. Yep, they charge a restocking fee and yes, I had to pay for shipping. But, unlike some of the people here, I'd read their terms of service and knew to expect that. IT'S STATED CLEARLY! It's not Newegg's fault that some people have not yet mastered the basic skill of reading.
I got my money back, minus the fees that were CLEARLY STATED, and haven't had a problem since. In fact, the computer I'm writing this on is a refurbished laptop I bought from Newegg. It's been the most awesome laptop, and the price was literally unbeatable.
If you're dubious about a product, read the customer reviews--the ones they have for everything they stock. All you have to do is check the reviews out before you buy to feel safer about your purchase. If there are no reviews and you're still dubious, wait for some reviews, or buy your item locally for about 25-50% more, that's your prerogative.
I have never been tempted to switch to a different computer store, these guys are awesome!
Well, I did end up getting my full refund after I wrote this review, so let me give credit where credit is due.
