Highly recommended for computer parts and electronics in general. Much wider selection than Best Buy, and better service than Fry's. Very quick standard shipping, usually arriving within 3 days. I've even purchased a few refurbished items, all of which continue to work.
Placed an order on NEWEGG, they billed my credit card and without any notice they canceled my order 7 days later. I only found out after I went to my PayPal account and saw it was canceled. I will never buy from them again. They also allow resellers on their site so you never know if the merchandise is legit or new. Buyer beware...
I used to love Newegg. I built many computers from there. Unfortunately now they just don't care. Products are packaged with much less care and they almost always arrive beat up. I know this is a shipping issue too but this never happens on Amazon for me.
Website is a trap. You Google your way in and can never get back to your Google search. Look at history and you are hundreds if not thousands of levels deep. I realize it isn't difficult to go start another tab/window, but what the heck. Poor form.
They were amazing when I was growing up, roughly 20 years ago. They simply have turned more to caring about profit and not so much about the users. They are considered awful to use if you have any other choice of vendor. Don't be like tigerdirect...
Great site for electronics - I don't know much about electronics, but whenever my husband, brother or boys want a new toy, this is place I go to for them. Their prices are rock bottom, great return policy and excellent customer service.
I recently spent just under $3,000 on a laptop and updated software. I needed the equipment urgently so I sprang for overnite shipping. I discovered only 3 days later that they don't in fact guarantee overnight processing (even when you add their 'rush processing' charge). The computer arrived in good order (4 days later...) but when I began setting it up I found that the advertised SD card slot was plugged and not useable. Since this is a necessary component for me (this is a work computer) I have been trying for days to get thru to their so-called customer service without success.
I'm fed up - they are plenty happy to take my credit card info but far less so when I have a problem with their product. They have seen the last dime of my money!

I always know what to expect, have spent thousands of dollars on Newegg over the last few years, and have never been dissatisfied.
Apart from the customer service being rude, the fact that you can't cross border shop because their systems are stuck in the ice age is appalling for a tech company. I live on the border and haven't had this issue for years as companies have caught on that they need to accept Canadian credit cards or PayPal if they want the business. That I can send money to a friend and have it work but can't buy a monitor at their site is incredible. I will not be using them again.

I've built several PCs over the last 20 years. They've been my first stop most times.
I only had to make a return once and they took the ram back without question and seem honest to me.
My only issue with them is their stock of new amd or nvidia graphics cards is always low. They always sell out quick and have waiting lists for weeks or months. I don't know if it's a supply issue or just what but this is my only issue with them sometimes. That's the price of living on the bleeding edge.
Don't make a mistake while ordering especially with high ticket items. Ordered an item that did now work in my system that cost $700. Tried to return to find out they charge 15% to restock. Don't waste your time with newegg. Use Amazon with free returns at most u have to pay for shipping. Their advice was don't return it and sell it myself.

I have had nothing but good experiences buying from Newegg for over 10 years. Once there was a problem with a item and it was fixed without delay with no money out of my pocket. I have always received my items within 2-3 days max, but I live within 60 miles of their California warehouse, because of that I also have to pay an extra 8% tax.
Their website is easy to navigate, their prices are very competitive, good communication, and good deals can be had with the daily Shell Shocker. I can highly recommend them without any doubt.

I have been using Newegg for electronic purchases since 2001. Newegg has low prices, is consistently fast, and is easy to work with. I get pretty much all of the computer parts I need to build computers or keep computers running here. Many years ago they built the free 2-day shipping cost into the price of the item, these days they charge separate for shipping like everyone else. Also, these days it seems they have some stiff competition from Amazon on pricing for things, but when you buy through Amazon, you are sometimes buying from other companies. Newegg is always solid and is always worth an extra couple dollars for the piece of mind. Plus, the product reviews on Newegg behind most all of their items are unbiased and are heads above the product reviews anywhere else.
My account was hacked into, information changed and an order made with my stored credit card information. Although they advertise the highest confidence of security, they do not practice it.
Additionally, when I tried to contact them the online chat was down and phone wait time exceeded one hour...

I can't restore my previous review. I docked one star, because I am seeing strange suspicious behavior on reviews, and may have evidence they are selling products which are not officially sanctioned and so do not have warranties.
I'm currently investigating if it's a problem on Newegg's end.

For now, I'd recommend not trusting their reviews.
Excellent service, order shipped within 4-5 hour of placing order. And delivered in less than a week (opted for ground shipping). Product itself was brand new out of the box. Would recommend. I got everything I wanted. Nice bluetooth head set. I got everything on time... Cons: None noted.
I bought a couple of items from them and later find out 1) overpriced 2) low quality or defective 3) no warranty and no complaint you can file to. 4) I wrote a review regarding a hard drive enclosure which worked first time and then cannot be recognized and tested on several computers proved defective, the review didn't show up. It is not a fair and trustful company. I will keep out.

Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen and I always thought they were suppose to be so great looks like they have changed they have more negative than positive reviews mounting up over the last few years. I will never shop with them again there are too many other good places with great prices & service no need to suffer what newegg will put you through.
I ordered an Asus laptop from these guys two weeks ago and had tremendous difficulty with my order afterward. I had to call in 4 times to verify my order (they only process orders every 24-48 hours). After much headache and time on the phone, I finally confirmed that the problem was because the Newegg customer service rep did not input the correct Apartment number. The customer service rep who finally helped me with my request told me her systems were always busy, especially approaching holiday season and my situation was not unique.

I've spent days trying to order parts from newegg. From changing prices and ship dates, I will not recommend anyone use newegg.
After placing an order and having the arrival date change, checking the website alluded to faster shipping at $26 LESS cost. Newegg recommended I cancel the original order and order again to receive my item in time at the reduced cost. This is after offering a $10 discount on the order that was clearly $26 more expensive. If that sounds confusing, it's because it is. How the shipping cost was $26 more the day before is truly baffling.
For an order to sit for over a day (for next day shipping) is unacceptable.
Don't use newegg -- every other online store has managed to ship on their promised date.

The 1 compulsory star is 1 too many. 4 years after having bought a 5-year-warranty data-storage card from them, I found it failed and asked them for remedy. Since they didn't reply, I complained through BBB. Newegg remained silent. After BBB closed the case, I looked Newegg up (stupidly too late) to find them rated "F" with BBB. Don't make my mistake yourself! Buy elsewhere!
The customer service on the website over the past few years has been getting progressively worse. The company gives estimated delivery dates that are often far off from the actual delivery date. When I had defective merchandise delivered the return process was an absolute nightmare and took over two weeks to have the issue resolved and have a new item sent to my house. The customer service is unapologetic and just follows policy and in no way tries to satisfy the customers needs.

I would not recommend if you needed anything vital or within a specific time period. Shipping as well as customer service seems to be an issue with the website and when it comes to returns the process is absolutely slow
