Neighborhood awareness
Neighbors have been able to reach out to one another about disturbances to their residents as in their cars front porch is etc. Because of this site there is a heightened awareness amongst all of our neighbors to watch out for one another!
Kept getting notifications of messages from NextDoor when there weren't any messages. Finally deleted the app to see if that fixed it. When I reinstalled it I asked for a password reset that never came. Tried to contact them but got in their endless no help do it yourself loop that never worked. Maybe a bad review is the only way to get their attention.
America is based on a set of principles that NextDoor violates
To promote the Woke agenda. Christians and other normal people are banned simply for expressing their beliefs that Freaks and Nextdoor
Cannot tolerate because they can't refute them.
Nextdoor is a good neighborhood resourse; however it is poorly used by some people. I personally do not like the new 'digest' format and prefer the previous format. More user-friendly training might help. The boundaries for our neighborhood are not accurate and include another neighborhood.
Some members and myself were reported and suspended for no good reason by a biased moderator. I stood up for myself and the next day she defamed me and slandered me on a new post. I was bulied and harassed by her lynch mob. Cant report her. Next Door wont help me. I then open my laptop up this morning and there was that same post i complained about on my microsoft page with the Next Door ad. Im going to contact a lawyer! Disgusting. Next Door should be removed permanently!
Nextdoor.com has become a joke. Someone posted they were looking for a male dog to breed their female dog with ASAP because she was in heat. Her reasoning was she just wanted her dog to have puppies. I tried to educate her about the overpopulation of dogs and how many millions are euthanized every year. I was honest, presented verified statistics, and explained why she shouldn't do this.
She reported me multiple times for discrimination, attacking her, and threatening her. None.of this ever happened. Nextdoor.com suspended and refuses to discuss it.
So I was so suspended for trying educate and prevent more unneeded dogs being born. She's still on there bragging about breeding her dog which, by the way, is kept on a crate all the time. She shouldn't even be allowed to have a dog.
Nextdoor shouldn't even allowed to solicit for this kind of breeding but obviously Nextdoor doesn't care what's right.
They are supressing freedom of speech and whatever viewpoint the "Leads" dont like its scary and Orwellian.
Im talking about civil, descent speech... descent discussions. They are trying to shut down ideas that they dont agree with. This platform will Not last
Next door sucks big time! People go there to talk garbage and complaint about why homeiwners associations like Estancia have rules and bylaws ECT...wow! How ignorant people can be, don't they know what a community is? But of course, people want to do whatever they want to do and not respect any laws rules or bylaws...typical Pembroke pines! Welcome to the city of ignorant and denial people not to mention Complexed...what a joke of a city
In my neighborhood, we have a LEAD that is out of control... Today, she accused people of homicide because they opposed a traffic plan and someone got killed on a bike... The Next Door reps ignored all the complaints on her, and she has torn the the neighborhood (once voted most improved neighborhood in the USA by NUSA) apart... It is sad, stay away from this destructive site!
Terrible the amount of adverts you must endure. I wish there was another way as you cannot hide sponsor ads. If this was a TV program there would be 5 minutes of program and 25 minutes of sponsor ads. Miserable!
I just got banned from Next Door because they said several people from my neighborhood reported me as they are unfamiliar with my name. I was like 'wow are you for real?' They asked me for a government issued id that states my given name as prove. I think I got ban because I pm a neighbor asking her to feedback on a handyman she referred on the app, as I was thinking of hiring him. I believed she was unhappy to receive my pm. I did nothing out of the norm that day.
Next door is easy to use and helpful when there is an urgent message to the community. The layout of information could be updated a bit. Also the search function could be updated, it's hard to find an old entry.
We signed up for Nextdoor and immediatlely we started getting all kinds of Spam and unwanted emails. We tried to unsubscribe but to no avail. Do not use this app or site. They report your personal information to other members without your permission. There is no accountablity and no response when abuse is reported other than to kick you off their network.
The local Nextdoor App has liberal anti-law enforcement agenda. The leads and moderators allow posts and comments that do not follow community guidelines and are each their own little Markie Zuckerbergs.
Don't waste your time on this site. You are better off finding or starting a local area FB page or website. ND is terrible. I was the victim of a neighborhood crime & I wrote a post to worn other people. They took it down and did not tell me why. I put another one up and now I can't log on. Bull$#*!. The whole point is to let neighbors know what is going on around them! Especially when there is a house full of Heroine addicts in the middle of it.
Whoever moderates this site is HORRIBLE and FULL OF THEMSELVES. To bad, can someone else please make a site not run by a bunch of NOZIS? Thanks
Very helpful when posting a neighborhood meeting to address a concern or to announce a neighborhood event like the fishing tournament this weekend or a social. I don't post as often as some members but very quick and helpful to get the "word" out...
The site is full of people who openly lie. The moderators often side with the people who lie, and the moderators throttle speech when someone calls them out. There is also a lot of trolling that the moderators will not remove. One of the worst social media sites I've used, and that's saying a lot.
I have not had an opportunity to post anything, but I am glad I have it. I have learned a few things since signing up. The one downside, I have noticed a few times that on some posts, there have been some negative comments
I like Nextdoor. I like keeping informed of both the good and bad events in my neighborhood and surrounding areas. I also like reading reviews about companies or handymen that have been hired and save that info in case I need it in the future. I like checking out the free item giveaways, and also things people are selling. Basically I like keeping informed.
This is my first experience with Servair, and I would recommend this company to my friends or anyone who asks me if I know of a good heat & air company. The service tech, Tony Adorante, was a real gem. He was courteous, knew his business, was efficient and offered suggestions. I'm a 72-year-old single woman and new to the area, so I didn't know who to call. Servair was recommended, and was assured that I could trust them to do a good job. After my experience, I now know why the company is talked about in such a positive manner.
Answer: The negative reviews are honest reactions to being duped into sharing too much personal information (that Nextdoor now owns and will NEVER delete and will continue to sell to advertisers until your dying day) to join a site that seems friendly on the surface, but which does NOTHING to protect users. I was bullied by a convicted murderer, who is a Lead in my neighborhood--and I was banned from the site for complaining. Leads are nothing more than early adopters of the site who have been assigned power over other users so that Nextdoor does not have to police it's own site. In short: No. The negative reviews are not wrong. Heed them! I wish I had known before it was too late!
Answer: Forget about nextdoor and leads. Get a life, a real one. Don't waste your time with toxic online communities that tend to get the worst out of people. My advise is run away while you still have some dignity left.
Answer: Kay is right. That is their policy. However, don't expect them to hold to it. We have leads unfairly removing only some people's comments and Nextdoor does nothing about it. Best bet, dump nextdoor.
Answer: Neighborhood. Rocks is in development. Another 6 months.
Answer: Truth is like oil and water. As long as the scam artist have enough venture capital (other people's money) they will continue to shake the bottle leaving it a murky view obscuring the truth. Run out of cash, they'll be exposed for the incompetent boobs they are and the top dogs will clear out their bank accounts and move on to the next scam. One look at their "leading edge tech" pulled right out of the 1980's is proof enough they will die in the tar pits just like the fellow dinosaurs. Want a state of the art app? Check out https://wiggio.com or www.neighborhoodlink.com
Answer: Dallas, SiteJabber rates it at 16%. It would surely rate lower if there weren't so many fake positive reviews. Folks review Nextdoor either 1 or 5. The fives read like ads about Nextdoor's features and potential. The ones are written by real people and give accounts of how awful their experiences were.
Answer: Several other reviewers on this site have had the same thing happen to them. We have been fully banned from nextdoor (beyond just "suspension"), but they keep our profiles, and sometimes our names still appear in the neighbor registry. They refuse to remove us fully, I suppose, in an attempt to misrepresent our endorsement and participation there. It's clearly unethical, but their TOS states that they can do this, as any nd apologist will point out.
Answer: Here's a tidy answer from corporate... Hi Colleen, Thanks for getting back to me. Our Community Guidelines prohibit posting about Lead activity on the main newsfeed. If your Leads are inactivate and youre concerned about moderation in your neighborhood, you should reach out directly to Nextdoor Support. If you have any specific concerns I can help you with at this time, please let me know. Best, Amanda Nextdoor However, the minute you alert corporate to issues with leads in your community you'll find your account terminated. They are very protective of the information surrounding who really is controlling the activities on the boards. Most people in my community are under the misguided impression that corporate is in control. They don't even consider it is their neighbor who sits in judgement.
Answer: Nextdoor wants your full legal name, house number and address and your email address that they link all together. As an added bonus... They have a little map that you can click on. That way if, OMG, you offend someone the little map leads them straight to your house. Run, do not walk, away from this site. No good comes from Nextdoor.
Answer: Your name and address will be known to everyone who uses the NextDoor application and website. I don't suggest using it. I recently discovered that low income apartments in ghetto areas might be able to use the application to do crime. Car theft, asaaults, kidnapping and just about everything else under the sun.
