I am renting a server at nitrado to host an ark server. We have done several changes and managed to make a boo boo. Contacted customer support and Alejandro Chavez was assigned to help me. He provided excellent help to me. And our server is now back to full normal status. I'm very happy with this server host, and the support they provide. I also want to say this has been resolved so quickly, and that has been during Christmas holidays!
Garbage company that will give you a terrible server. Doesn't matter the game, if you have ANY other choice go with them.
Paid for a server and within 8 hours it was useless, couldn't log in or anything. Total scam, do not use this company.

Zero response from the providers and from support. No reason given, this is the worst provider out there. Avoid this German crap server completely.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid it. They have no problem taking your money, cancelling the service is impossible, will have to dispute it with your bank or paypal. Service doesn't work at all. AVOID THIS!

After testing a xbox game server DayZ 10 slots on 1 month we say that the last players were incessant. We tried on a server 32 slots this time in London for a period of 3 months, and the miracle had become a little more fluid but began to get bored after a request to add RAM Nitrado certify that it does not is absolutely not possible with the addition of RAM would not be that of servers minecraft, yet on Pc and ps4 we could choose our maximum RAM to order, after a little insistence here we are change of machine with a Ip Still based in London, we were able to watch at 4gb maximum to 5.1gb maximum gaming night without any shifting and incomparable fluidity of any machine changes, and we ended up with the base memory machine based in Germany despite the database with which it is still based in London this creates the same marks as on the 10slot based on the new version of the game made unforgettable and our service paid for 3 months unusable. Despite my requests, the change of machine to the location chosen and paid at the base (London) has not yet occurred. This is a new year, a new penetration. We are waiting for a solution that allows us to finally enjoy our location in good conditions.
Nitrado was good when I first bought it a year ago for some friends and me to play on for a month and stop and a few months later we would rent it again. But I switch over to pc and it was fine for a month we went back to play on it again this time a PVP ark world for me and some friends. But it was super slow, when it did a restart like it would take like 10 minutes to an HOUR to start up again. Which was annoying but we could deal with it. Not only that mods would not work either. BUT THEN THE WORST THINGS HAPPENED. IT WOULD FREEZE US THEN KICK US OUT AT RANDOM TIMES AND I KNOW IT WAS NOT OUR GAME BECAUSE ONE TIME MY GAME FROZE WHILE MY FRIENDS GAME WAS FINE THEN I GOT KICKED OUT THEN ONE MINUTE MY FRIEND GOT KICKED OUT AND SENT US FAR BACK TIME AND IT WOULD DO THAT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I TRIED GOING BACK TO AN OLD SAVE FILE BUT IT WOULD STILL FREEZE THEN I DID A REINSTALL AND IT HAS BEEN 3 HOURS AND IT IS STILL NOT UP AND I JUST PAID TO EXTEND OUR TIME FOR THIS GARBAGE SERVER AND THERE IS NO REFUNDS TOO AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS PACKED WITH PEOPLE. I'VE
SPENT 3 DAYS TRYING TO FIX THIS GARBAGE SERVER ONLY 6 DAYS GONE TO WASTE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Have been renting servers from Nitrado since 2018, but recently the performance is abyssmal. The WebGUI is slow, server reboots on it's own accord, restarting server now taken 40 to 60 minutes, players getting kicked. The reload log button on the WebGUI more often doesn't than does work,...
Logged a ticket, they told me 'sorry, the game is buggy, nothing we can do'. Except take my money and then tell me they can't do anything it seems, that's working fine.
(info in ticket is literally 'find a solution online somewhere or accept this sometimes happens and might resolve itself or not. You might or might not need to reinstall)
(as I've been accused that I'm lying and they never said this, original message in Dutch:
"Het spel geeft aan de server kanthelaas geen logs om vast te stellen wat het probleem is. Zoals je wellicht online kunt vinden is dit een probleem dat wel eens gebeurt, soms vanzelf weg gaat en soms een backup of herinstallatie nodig heeft")
Happy customer since 2018 now fed up with their nonsense and 'support'. We reply within 24-48 hours, true. Sadly, the replies are as usefull as an elephant in a porcelain shop.
As I'm typing this, my server is yet again mysteriously stuck in a restart loop - forced stoppen, restarted, wait another 45 minutes; I'm now paying to watch paint dry while I wait for the few happy minutes my server stays up and is usable.

So I picked up an Atlas server for me and a few friends. Unfortunately, their server is for only one grid on Atlas. So, you can't even experiance the feel of exploration without picking up one of their expansion servers. So, if you're like me and did, you will quickly realize that you then can only travel to two grids. Wanting to travel to the entire map would take multiple servers, at $14 per month. Kind of a lame scam if you ask me. Or I can go into the server, and switch one of the servers to an adjacent grid, restart the server kicking everyone out, and then we can travel to the next sector. All of this needs to be explained more before people go to pick up a server. If you are good with working out of one grid, great, but if you want to explore, forget it. Exploration is what the game is about, so that limits the playable area, and destroys the game. Also, maps did not ever work in this server, and there were several glitches. If you did load the large map in the map area of the server, the game would never load. It would time out before getting into the server. So any map larger than 1x1, would suffer a time out before loading. Stay away from this ripoff.
Let me just say, that other than the misinformation, the server worked halfway decent when it was running on 1x1 map. It was hard to start back up when you make changes, but when it did run, it ran decent. I'm not hacking on their server abailites, just the fact that there was no real information upfront about how big the Atlas server was. If you play in one grid, you're golden. If you want to explore, you're screwed. This is all on Xbox by the way.
The experience with Nitrado's customer support was horrific customer service and completely unhelpful. Our server was brought down multiple times over multiple days unexpectedly through a fully server-side initiated save and shut down, not a crash. I proved through the logs that the server did not crash, the technician refused to believe this and insisted on the issue being with the discord bot. All the modified dates of every file on the server was reset to the current time of the shutdown. This leads me to believe the server was shutdown with no notice to copy our files from one machine to another, interrupting our service with no notice. This is poor business practice and caused detrimental effects to our playerbase.
When asked to escalate to a supervisor on the phone, the technician refused and insisted that there were no managers in the call center. When pressed, he said he would check if his supervisor would take the call and then proceeded to tell me that they refused to take the call and we would have to wait 2 business days to hear from the development team, which the ticket was never actually escalated to, and the technician continued to insist on the issue being our mods. The technician was unprofessional, lazy and refused to give any help beyond blaming our mods, which worked without issue on our local server and our previous host.
He also claimed there are no surveys to give feedback on about the customer's experience with support. In my 8 years working at call centers, I've never seen a technical support call center not have a survey to fill out. After this experience, I reached out to support to file a formal complaint on this technician, this was never done despite being assured it was. I posted on Nitrado's forums of this experience only to have my forum account banned for speaking out about their customer service with no reason being given to why I was banned. I had to reach out to a volunteer moderator to find out any information, which they let me know that the reason the account was banned was because complaints need to be directed through support tickets or calling support, which was the whole problem to begin with.
To any managers that read this, I am extremely dissatisfied with my entire experience with Nitrado as we paid double over our previous host and received worse performance, worse customer service and no tools to monitor our server at all. I do not recommend renting servers with Nitrado.

I do not recommend this incompetent host.
I have requested them to add "-sv_pure" to my server's command line, in order to run pure servers, can't have people joining with modified materials like transparent walls and such.
They don't actually give you an option to edit the command line yourself, that would not really be an issue if they made the changes you ask them to, sv_pure is a BASIC, ESSENTIAL setting not something uncommon.
After waiting more than 4 weeks (yes, more than 4 weeks) for a reply in regard to the support ticket I've opened requesting "-sv_pure" to be added, they've said:

I run multiple game servers but have did the mistake of transferring one of them to Nitrado, as my servers are built on a very strong fair play foundation that is an ESSENTIAL feature for me and my players, i find it unacceptable that a "Game Host" provider isn't able to do a basic modification like this, as a followup, i will terminate my hosting with Nitrado.
As most of you server owners know, it is not easy for servers to go thru an IP change (especially for users) this has created many frustrations for me + even more time wasted.
I cant not classify Nitrado as anything other than an incompetent game host.
I've messaged their CEO (Marco Balle) to inform him of this but have not gotten any reply, this to me shows he does not care about his customers, why should they (we) care about his business then?
I strongly advise you to avoid marbis GmbH AKA Nitrado, don't make the same mistake i did.
Firstly, I'm going to be fair to Nitrado: Their game servers when they perform well are great to play on. I've been a loyal customer of theirs for 3.5 years without any performance issues as such. However, all that changed for me on the 17th December 2019.
I had to contact customer support, because I couldn't connect to my server anymore. I was immediately informed by Nitrado that the Left 4 Dead game on my host server was not patched to the latest version, which consequently stopped all my member-players from connecting to my game server.
This could have been a very simple fix, and all that was required was to patch the game from version 1.0.3.1 to 1. 0. 3. 8. - something that could have been easily fixed within days, instead of many weeks.
Over the next few weeks I kept trying to reconnect to the server hoping it would be fixed, but it never got fixed. I kept emailing for an update as to when the server would be fixed. But I got no feedback. Then on the 9th Jan I tried reinstalling the L4D game for myself - and to my shocking surprise it had the latest patch applied. So why in hell didn't Nitrado's tech support fix this sooner and report this back to me and tell me a fix had been applied to the server?! And at what point did this fix get applied?!
I've finally got my modded server running again - but only through my own efforts, I also had to rebuild my modded-server with its many addons and also had to re-upload 13.5Gb of custom maps. That was a lot of extra work for me, and something that Nitrado could have easily fixed for me if they had been supportive to my pleas for help in the emails I sent them.
Nitrado's tech support has been a very bad experience for me, causing me prolonged stress and much anxiety over these past 3-weeks. This is extremely poor service from Nitrado! And that why their tech-support gets a 1-star rating from me.:(

Company was dishonest with me, and ended up having to request a refund. The forums removes comments of problems and told me it is not the place to troubleshoot, though that is the exact forum title. They close threads and mark them resolved, while the servers continue to not work. The issues were never resolved, and after being promised a full refund, they turned around and told me it was a credit and that I am to use it with them for another service.
The server would go offline nearly daily, and would not have any reason in the logs or explanation when asking customer service as to why.
Server settings could not be applied, regardless of trying their methods, and even when they attempted to do so for me, they could not get the settings to work in 2 separate attempts. (note: on a private server, on my own pc, the settings updated without any issue, and did not need a new game save as they claimed was required each time.)
Ram displayed upon server booting up showed approximately 650 mbs, while I paid for 2 gbs. When I asked about this, I never received a response.
Server ran sluggish and had interesting lag issues which they claimed was due to running on the wrong equipment, and then claimed that they moved it to proper equipment, but no difference was found in the supposed new equipment.
When told that I would receive a full refund in a live chat, they then messaged me that they will give me a credit so I can purchase another service from them, and then sent me emails asking if I wanted to change my mind about the server, instead of my refund, which I still have not received.
When calling their phone number provided multiple times, it just rings nonstop with no one ever answering the call. I waited over 10 minutes multiple times.
When asking their customer service why I could not use the EAH program for the Empyrion server, which is released by the developer and comes with the game, I was told it is a third party program, though it is not.
I have more grievances with this company, but this should demonstrate the issues and to their degree of fault. They could never explain the nearly daily occurrences of the server shutting itself down, why settings and game admin controls would not work, why a program made by the game makers was not support, why the ram was a fraction of what I was paying for, and why the server continued to lag even after their supposed equipment change.

If there were a zero-star option for rating Nitrado, I would eagerly click it without a moment's hesitation. But alas, the rating system forces me to award them at least one undeserved star, a faint glimmer that grossly overstates the dark abyss that is their customer service.
Navigating Nitrado's support ticket system is a Kafkaesque exercise in futility. It's as if they've deliberately designed a labyrinthian maze aimed not at aiding customers, but at trapping them in a purgatorial cycle of confusion and frustration. And should you miraculously make it through to actually submit a ticket, brace yourself for one of two equally infuriating outcomes: either you're greeted with an error message, or you're met with deafening silence. Both roads lead to the same place: nowhere.
The company's Discord channel is another bewildering arena of disappointment—a digital wall of lamentations featuring unanswered queries, unresolved issues, and general cries for help that fall on deaf ears. If you're expecting assistance here, don't hold your breath; you're more likely to get a response from a pet rock.
In the rare instances when your server does work, expect frequent and unannounced downtimes, sluggish performance, and FTP connectivity issues so unpredictable they make a game of Russian Roulette look like a stable investment. You might as well be throwing your money into a black hole, except even a black hole occasionally emits radiation.
The cherry atop this disastrous sundae? The existence of a "Nitrado Rep" who pops up to apologize for the company's blunders on platforms like Sitejabber. The irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife: Nitrado can afford the time and resources for a dedicated apologizer, but not for an actual support team that solves problems. To this mysterious "Nitrado Rep," I say: stop extending empty apologies online and invest your time in actually addressing the heap of unresolved issues plaguing your customers.
In summary, Nitrado is a masterclass in how not to run a service-based company. It serves as a cautionary tale that should be studied in business schools as a prime example of what to avoid at all costs. Until they enact wholesale changes to their infrastructure and approach to customer service, do yourself a favor: steer clear.
