I was a big fan of NordVPN for a long time, but after being a customer for 3 year, I watched a YouTube video showing that they track their user's activity and were ranked one of the worst in several categories of a consumer reports article. I then asked for a refund only a few weeks past the 30 days of my fourth yearly subscription, and they refused to refund my money. They lost me as a customer. Instead I recommend Mullvad VPN, which ranked #1 on the consumer reports article.
You cannot call them. I spent 45 minutes online chat, and they tried to bypass my problem. They could not solve it. They will not log into my computer to see the problem and then when I did everything they asked me to do, it did not solve the problem.

I am not sure how Nord vpn even gets 2 stars. Is there a negative star rating? The vpn has worked before. Actually 5% of the time. That is if you continually reboot your computer. I encountered a problem obtaining the service credentials to manually configure the meshnet service.
At the moment I'm using/evaluating the service at free level.
I used also the "real time" chat, and it's really awesome.
I spoken with "Keanu" and "Phoenix" and both these boys are really patient and available, more in deep their questions are pertinent...
Unfortunately the problem involve some central settings (related to the rendering of pages), so at the end the support take over the problem, but from the enduser perspective they're competent and despite the fact that the problem was not addressable by a simple knowledge-base page, their analysis was good.

I bought a Nordvpn subscription using paypal. Nordvpn will not recognize the active, paid subscription. I can not use the service w/o an active subscription. Customer service tells me my account is active, which irrelveant since wo a subscription it is useless. Terrible customer service

I have been trying to use it, seems 4 months now, and it doesn't work. U are supposed to be connected, but you have no internet whatsoever. It is garbage. I have tried to change all the possible protocols to get a better connection, but nothing works. Don't waste ur money... IT IS THE WORST VPN EVER.

I was having a purchasing problem where the purchase wouldn't complete but also was taking my payments with each attempt I'd made. After being transfered to Dean, I was given a link that was successful in processing my purchase. I was also given a personalized coupon code for my troubles that'd lowered my total price by almost half of the price I was originally going to pay; which was already 69% off the original price with a different coupon code I was using from a youtuber. I couldn't stop thanking Dean enough after several failed purchasing attempts. The price cut was extremely amazing and I'm grateful; but I wouldn't even call that the highlight of this review.
Basically an ok VPN no better or worse than any other Imo.
However they seem to have a habbit of taking money from people that have cancelled their memberships if mine and others experiances are anything to go by.

Not going to call them scammers but they're bloody close.
It was working ok and quit working 2 weeks ago getting a message saying that I couldn't connect because of a problem on Nords end. Took a week of sending screenshots of that message before they admitted it was on their end. Claim they're working on it and each answer from them has a different thing I'm supposed to change on my device and nothing works. Won't refund my subscription or part of it. Been two weeks and they have no idea when it will be fixed. Cancelled my auto renew!
