This company has the worst website for asking questions they just put it online for someone else to answer they don't reply to anything not in live chat which there isn't anyone or texting them your messages don't get delivered save yourself grief if you're not sure what your buying don't count on this company
Needed repair for my generator
They would not answer phone call, kept hanging up phone I finally took it in.
They failed to repair the unit.
I fixed the problem after watching YouTube.

Extremely poor service
I have purchased numerous high dollar tools from your company. With each and every purchase I have experienced bad issues or tools and customer relations. I purchased wood stove and took it home in a looked like damaged create, got it home and discovered over 1/2 of fire brick broke,. Purchased a log splitter and arrived at store and was told the only log splitter was a assembled and I had to pay over 200 dollars because it was assembled got it home and discovered it needed HYD and motor oil, again was not informed it was not already oiled. Also recently had a issue with same said log splitter and called customer because it would not start, at the most it has 200 hours and I changed filter and spark plug same time last fall. I decided the coil tested bad and needed replacing. Now for the last straw, I called parts and customer and said I needed the part number for coil. Because in the owners manual there are only "kits" that have part numbers and other related parts do not have parts number. Discovered the reason is because there are only 3 parts that can be gotten because of Chinese made motors have very few parts and then I was informed I had to go to 3rd party parts company who northern tool has purchased and created a monopoly so if you need parts you have to purchase then through Jacks small engine company. If you have not already figured I will not let this slide I do hundreds of reviews and this takes the cake for robbery of customers. This is shameful and I will make every effort to inform the public, as I have make countless purchases with northern but none any more.
I have a mower which has starting issues. They said they can fix it but they just doing nothing with no fixing on the starting issues, and said they will not return my mower back to me unless I pay the 60 dollars plus restocking fee. Very unprofessional! BE AWARE!
Bought a $4,000 tire machine and it's 2 year extended in house warranty. Broke down after 13 months. They could not find anyone to support or repair so they totally ignored me until I stopped complaining. Benpack stuff is junk. And so is everything else they sell and suck you into extended warranties that they don't support!
I had used Northern Tool for the 8 years in my pressure washing business. I had bought 15 machines and hoses from them. My go too machines were the 3600 psi and 3 gpm machine with a Honda engine and Cat pump. The new machines come with a Koehler engine. Their excuse is they cant get Honda engines. That is B.S. Simpson and DeWalt both offer Honda engines. They now give you crappy hose with the machine. Complete garbage. Also, their premium hose is now garbage. They are going right down the tubes.
Do not order anything. Could take up to A month to get it they cant even track it and have know idea where it is 13 days and still waiting. Never again. If they don't have it go somewhere else don't order it unless you don't need it.
I purchased a welder November 15th with a latest delivery date of November 28th. Today is December 12 th and I still don't have the welder, I've called several times as well as emailed and all I get in response is it's shipped. No tracking number but it's on a truck to the store for pick up. I even tried to cancel it but I still have to wait until the welder show up or if it even show up. Seems like fraud activity
This Company is absolute nightmare to work with, I would highly suggest never purchasing anything from them. They will either lose your order or it will be months before you get it.
I had bought a Kerosene heater from Amazon but the actual seller was Northern tool as their 3rd party seller gimmick. After only 2 months the heater flashed a code E! And blew out a large plume of smoke. I contacted Northern tool immediately the next day to report the issue and to be told I would need to call the manufacture for service repairs, etc. Its just another way companies are trying to find ways of dodging customer repair or refund issues and hope if they make it difficult enough the customers wont even bother trying.
Two weeks after I ordered my trailer, it still had not shipped. I called the corporate office and the lady I spoke to was very helpful. She apologized and stated she would personally call the warehouse and have it shipped asap. I finally received my trailer a week later (3 weeks after purchase). The assembly instructions were useless. They basically include a "one size fits all" manual that covers multiple models of trailers and is very difficult to follow, considering the parts shown aren't necessarily the parts included.
It took me 7 hours nonstop to put it together alone, only to discover the tail lights were faulty and would not work at all. To make matters worse, the title to register the trailer was missing from the box. Once again, I found myself on the phone with the corporate office for Northern tools. The rep told me it takes them 4 hours with multiple people working on it at one time to assemble the trailer and explained that the title would be mailed separately and that I should receive it in an envelope within a few days of receiving the trailer. As for the lights, he said he would look into seeing if he could ship me some working lights separately. It has now been a full month since I ordered my trailer, I've yet to receive the title and I'm having to come out of pocket to fix the tail lights. To clarify, I have $1000 trailer sitting in my front yard that I CANNOT use. Multiple calls to corporate later, I'm now having to threaten to get my attorney involved just to get the title to the trailer I paid for. Save yourself the headache and avoid ordering from Northern Tools unless you can pick it up in person.
The supervisors are horrible, the Shipping esti.ates are a joke at best. You guys wouldn't know your $#*! from your elbow, I'd invest in a sinking ship before I'd order from your $#*! show again. How do you have a deal with a delivery date shown and then have that fall apart? I'd shoot myself before even thinking about using your company again!
Northern tool store in Conyers. Asked employee about two lights for the garage. They were two different manufacturers of the same light and we were just asking which one was better because it was a pretty big difference in price. He responded that one of the manufacturers had one on sale, and that was all he knew. We asked him if there was someone in the store who might know anything about them. He answered for every employee in the store that no one in that store knew anything about those lights. This guy wanted us to LeAVE hIM ALONE! His cashier job was clearly interfering with his tik tokking!
He checked us out and before we were even out of the line, he was back on his phone playing his candy crush. Definitely sticking to Home Depot from now on. It's pretty amazing that he can speak for every single employee in the entire store. The laziness is astounding.
These guys are Crooks! Go ahead and order the deal of the day and you'll get an emailed response saying it'll be 3 to 5 business before it arrives at your local store, Then you'll get an email saying updated delivery date 15 to 20 business days. Then you call in and speak with someone and they tell you that your order has been canceled and you won't even receive an email informing you, Don't do business with Northern Tool, get your tools elsewhere and save a whole lot of headache!
Bought an Earthquake Tiller from this untruthful company and it was damaged. The rep incorrectly told me to file the claim with FedEx who denied it because NT had to file the claim.
I ordered a product on the 13th one Sunday the 15 th I received a email it was shipped. When tracking the product it said only a label was made. I called today the 18th, the customer service representative told me it was in a phase either being put on a truck or sitting in a warehouse with others orders just sitting there. But she really didn't know and was making things up. Terrible customer service and she claimed this process is normal. I don't believe I will ever buy from this company again, regardless of the deals. The family owned business is to big for there britches

This is our 2nd time ordering off of the website, both times paying the Express Air shipping (next day)
Their online confirmation gives the date of arrival, (this is the reason why we chose to order in the first place!)
We are affected when our clients are affected and this is the 2nd time late deliveries we paid for have happened.
As of now it has taken over 2 business days for the item to leave warehouse/store.
It's disheartening when you call the customer service line and you can't get a honest answer.
Every rep has a different answer and isn't concerned with the issue.
We were told conflicting information: it will ship out, it has shipped out, they don't know if they have it or FedEx has it, it's a constant run around.
I'm not sure why it's so hard to honor the shipping dates that the website provides.
And if those dates are incorrect, I would hope their website would be fixed to not miss lead future customers
Bought a palm sander, used it 5 times and it stopped working. They said since I didn't have an extended warranty there was nothing they could. Do. I expect a product to be more durable. Never shop at Northern again. Their product are crap. Never had an issue with Home Depot or Lowes. Never again.
I had a very bad experiences with the repair shop in rogers MN...I paid $150.00 and got back a bunch of parts...I do not rec-amend this place at all

Answer: Absolutely horrible, you get the rub around with emails containing same useless info from multiple people, shop elsewhere and save yourself the stress and anxiety
