I was in Office Depot on S. Mopac near Sunset Valley in Austin today when a lady came in. She was waiting her turn, and the woman at the counter, frazzled though she was asked the customer what she wanted. The customer said something about printing photos, and the worker said she had to go to the website? The customer asked a couple of questions, and the worker said she did not have time to deal with her right then. The customer would have to wait her turn. Well, the customer had not interrupted the flow, so what was the snapping at the customer about? I left to go get something at Target next door and returned to get my order. Upon my return the customer was still there, finally her turn, and she was upset because they had had her do all this work on the phone to get the pictures sent to the store. They then told her she had to pay on the phone. The lady lost it. She said with all the work they had just done to get the pictures, now they are telling her she has to pay this way. She had a card in her hand to pay. So the guy who was helping her was being nice, but there comes the same snappy hateful woman worker and that did she do? She started telling her that she should have known this. She gave her a card, and the customer tossed it back across the counter at her. The worker then goes screaming through the store that the woman was throwing things at her. (How old was she? 3?). Now comes some nasty assistant manager who starts yelling at the customer in front of the entire store that she can't through things at the workers and abuse them. What about the worker being verbally abusive to the customers? Finally the male worker told her to send them the way she had in the past and he printed them out for her.
First of all, Office Depot has changed some policies, and she did not know this until she got to the counter. All was not explained to her upfront. How about the manager listening to the customer instead of just assuming the customer was wrong. I was ready to slap the worker. The customer was crying. Congratulations to the guy who helped her.
I work from home and I go through quite a bit of ink. I have always bought my ink at Office Depot but this last time they did not have the name brand, the clerk told me he could sell me the refurbished ink and it woulld be cheaper as well. Not cheap $53.99 for the duo set he had for me that was refurbished ink.
I bought the duo the color and black and my printer kept telling me the ink was empty. Or that, A PROBLEM HAS OCCURED WITH THE INK CARTIRIDGE- I took the ink back and the manager said, we can give you another pack but you have to bring both the color and the black back. So I went home got the 2 inks and returned, he gave me another duo kit and I brought them home and the printer once again, said the cartridges were empty. It also SAID INK CARTRIDGE CANT BE RECOGNIZED I am never buying the refurbished again, I asked the manager if this was a common experience, he said sometimes they do not work. If you know this, quit selling this type of ink. It is very messy and not at all convenient. I have not been able to print for almost 3 weeks trying all the different inks. Today I am going back to Office Depot to return the 2nd box of refurbished still cannot print anything! The multiple trips are the hassle, I paid almost 60 bucks and cannot print a thing! DO NOT BUY REFURBISHED INK FROM OFFICE DEPOT!
Inkfarm does a better job, i can buy same grad printing paper and ink for less cost. I can get the same brands at a lower cost, over priced.
I Went into the Colorado Blvd store in Denver Colorado and a man assisted me in a return And basically lied straight to my face and said he couldn't return an item because I didn't have receipts. I asked him to point out the return policy. He said it was in the fine print and I asked him Again to show me and he refused service and made me leave store. I was so embarrassed. This store advisor was the most rude, unprofessional, sarcastic worker I have ever encountered in all history. THEN CALLED OFFICE DEPOT CUSTOMER SERVICE on PHONE AND REPRESENTATIVE, SAMMY ASSISTED ME. I VOICED MY ISSUE AND HE CALLED THE STORE IMMEDIATELY AND TALKED WITH STORE. HE SAID THAT I COULD GO BACK IN STORE AND RETURN MY ITEM AND THAT THERE WOULDN'T BE ANYMORE PROBLEMS. SAMMY IS THE GOLDEN VOICE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR OFFICE DEPOT. HE WAS THOROUGH AND FAST & KIND VOICE IN HANDLING THE MATTER & MOST IMPORTANTLY VERY PROFESSIONAL. I COULDN'T ASK FIR ANYONE BETTER HANDLING THE ISSUE. OFFICE DEPOT is AN AWESOME STORE AND HAD NEVER HAD A ISSUES. THANK YOU OFFICE DEPOT FOR EXTINGUISHING THE PROBLEM. JANELL
