Don't use this, immediately sold my email to Kriss Berg, who's been bombing me with CBD emails. Total scam has no place in my life
OpenTable missed one of my reservations and subsequently removed my 2600 points. I will never use again.
I showed up for my reservation with Opentable and the restaurant was closed! Go Resy! $#*! Opentable!
Tried for hours to reserve a table for guests from out of town at skycity in Seattle & all I got was ooops something went wrong total trash app!
Be careful, not only are there a very limited number of restaurants where you can use your open table gift card, there are other things even worse:
A) you must make a reservation AND input your 15 digit/alphabet gift code from your paper gift card onto a website. THEN you have to print that out and bring to restaurants (you now have 2 pieces of paper to humiliatingly have to show your server).
B) if you do NOT use your allotted gift amount, we were told by the restaurant you lose that difference.
C) if you decide not to go to the restaurant for whatever reason, you lose your gift amount.
D) The actual gift paper is printed out from your gift givers home computer. It looks really cheap, and to sum it all up, YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CLIPPED A COUPON TO ACTUALLY USE IT. 2 of the restaurants we tried it in had no idea what it was.
When I called open table they told us to just have the manager of the restaurant call them and they would be happy to walk them through it. Yes, I'm sure restaurants slammed at dinner service want to do that.
DO NOT buy this gift for people. Either take them out or give them a visa card to cover dinner
If I could give a negative 10 stars, I would. Juniper & Ivy purports to sell gift cards online and their marketing representative, Krista Kerr, made a blatant misrepresentation to me that Juniper & Ivy does "offer gift certificates, you may purchase on our website." Not true. Open Table sells the gift certificates. And when I ordered and paid for it through Pay Pal, complete with receipt (receipt showing Treat Technologies, Inc., as the payee), the intended recipient never received it which was supposed to be delivered by email. When I contacted Krista Kerr of Juniper & Ivy, she shirked responsibility for the failed delivery and referred me to Open Table. Open Table could not provide me an explanation other than to claim that perhaps the transaction was not completed despite the fact that I provide Open Table, Juniper & Ivy and Treat Technologies proof of completion. Moreover, my bank reflects "PAYPAL INST XFER ******* OPENTABLE" on the date of the transaction. No further response by any of the three merchants despite my repeated emails to them. Apparently, their holiday is more important than mine and I am out $150, my sister doesn't have her gift and they're enjoying the holiday without a care for their customer. I will never frequent Juniper & Ivy and I urge you not to as well. I also would think twice about ever using Open Table for anything, but certainly never buy a gift card if it is involved in the transaction.
Only way to resolve issue as Diner is by Live Chat. They have been unable to fix my account. It has been months!
Madison WI melting pot. Had a great meal with a good friend. The accommodated out special requests with a smile. Dar provided awesome service
Exceptional receptio, food and service - from someone who has been around a bit...
Enjoy every aspects of it - lovely with a hint of perfection :)
You have points and they take them away,
When you least expect it. Stay away from this opentable. Not to be trusted.
Answer: I don't know, but I do know that Open Table gets $1 from the restaurant for each person on the reservation. So they make $8 for a party of 8, but give a (puny) $1 to the person booking it. Good point to bring up with them.
