I was waiting for a game to go on sale for 4 weeks and no sale. I bought the game on a Monday and it went on sale the next day and I called and asked them to credit me the difference and that I was going to buy more games and they told me no. I'm upset because it's a small request and they can see that I bought it 3 hours before it went on sale. It's only 20% off but it sucks to lose money. They could've remedied it but they didn't.
I want to thank everyone at Origin Broadband for the smooth transfer of broadband supply recently.
In particular thanks to Gareth at the technical dept who helped me with a Wi Fi password problem. He was very patient on each of the three times I phoned. He took me through the steps for password set up and even though I typed in the wrong password Gareth guided me through the process again until it was successful. Gareth was friendly and knowledgable and a credit to your company
Worthless. ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS. I had ONE game that I wanted to play, that I have bought. I cannot play it without downloading Origin. I have had this downloaded onto this very same PC before, but now all of a sudden, there are nothing but errors. I should not have to download this crap anyways just to play a game THAT I PHYSICALLY bought! Get over yourselves
They should remove the two-way verification option from getting enabled because then if a user has lost his/her phone then there is no way from entering the website(if the user has enabled two-way verification)
There is not a single worse platform than this one. Just the fact that it's by EA speaks enough, but on top of everything you can't even download games normally without anything screwing up.
I received charges on my bank for 69.99 for there courses that i never purchased and never heard
Of until today.
I tried to reach out to them to try and clear this up with no answers and unable to contact them on the
Phone. I sent email advising charges that were wrong or fraudulent and that i wanted a refund but again
No response. I have reported to fraud department at my bank cancelled my card and they will
Do what is neccessary. This company is somehow getting your info and stealing every chance they get
And I hope the authorities catch them.
They are far from legidimate watch out for them, clearly a scam
Soooo f**king many bugs, always says "we've noticed... offline" blablabla, then you have to check everything on your own computer then ended up with installing your game and restall it... I payed for the game and this bug all the time, this is very annoying. Stupid. Won't purchase any EA products anymore.
After 12 months of origin monthly charges from my credit card, whcih was used to susbcribe without my knowledge, had to cancel my card and bank account just so they stop charging me. If some scammer is reading this - you can easily use stolen cards and unless the person you steal from has logins to your Origin, support wont help him.
Origin can be good sometimes but most of the time it gives me a hard time and loads of inconvenience. It's great and all with the game but loading the application up can take a million years. It's sad to think that such a great game marketplace have so many downsides.
This app sucks its giving me errors when i try to play the game, my mom wasted her money buying me sims 4 and sims 3 orgin wasted me and my moms time i was having fun when i first got it and a month later its broken
This is my least favourite game launcher, and I only use it to get the free games they give out. My sister got the SIMS 2 and 3 after a friend of hers got free giftcards of them after buying them, and since we've just grabbed free games. The free games are great, and are often quite good ones rather than very cheap random games no-one wants, but it's about the only thing I like.
I find the lay-out very awkward, and hate using it. It's often very slow and laggy, and often makes me re-open the launcher before actually working.
I hate this program so much I had to create an email account called *******@gmail.com because creating an account was so bad. I had to wait for hours for an email back when creating an account hence the email. Even after that, I play a game, and then $#*!ing EA pops up and slows my ping down for $#*!ing much. It wasn't doing anything just the program being just makes my ping wants to kill itself. On top of all that games crash all the $#*!ing time and ruin the experience. Origin was made with of bunch of unqualified developers who need to get their heads out of their asses!
First I lost a whole account with all my games because somehow I manage to create 2 accounts with the same email and my first one got locked behind the new account. Why couldn't the service just let me login without having to fill in my gamer tag? Additionally I lost 8 hours of game progress because their cloud sync failed and there is no way to recovere that data. Why not just publish all games on steam? Never have I ever hada problem with Steam.
! WARNING! Do not purchase SimCity 4 from Origin! They've recently made changes to the game which doesn't allow you to patch an important update for better game play. I would suggest visiting other sites Stream but do not purchase the game from Origin!
I haven't even got to start playing the game I bought through them because it is STILL trying to download. I started downloading Sims 4 at 10:30 PM and it is still trying to download. At 2:10 AM. Also, I downloaded the Origin "app" for my computer and all it did was make my computer run slower. Very irritated.
Bought games. Do not launch. Contacted the customer service... but no use... the customer service guys are of no help. Plz dont waste your money buying games from origin. Its better you purchase the game from the website
Starts with conflicting messages when slecting the download/install location.
Weird erros on starting a game,
Not even given feedback why something doesn't start.
Another game opens a freaking EA website while the bloody origin loader should give the info straight back.
There is has to connect with the same origing software but can't load it and spins endlessly.
HOw the hell did this get developed and tested, AVoid EA and ORIGIN at all cost.
It's a disaster
I regret that EA decided not to publish their games on Steam anymore several years ago - so I was using Origin to buy Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3. The app works great, even though it does not have that scope of discounts as Steam plus that number of games on shelves. But if you need something from EA - you just have no choice.
Origin is ok. It is best if you have a newer/faster pc or computer. If you do not play for a while you will have to go threw a downloding process that can take 10 to 30 minutes and if you just want to play a game that you had to PAY for then this will make you want to mash your PC/computer into pieces.
Waste of money and time. My account was deactivated without my knowledge and I was unable to regain access. I no longer had access to the email on the account and was told that was the only way to regain access to the account. Was told that I was the one who deactivated the account, but no authorization was ever given by me to deactivate the account. Put out a lot of money on games over the years for them to be lost. Just wanted to give some feedback to the company and was told there was no survey, email, or number I could call and that the only way feedback was able to be given was for them to relay the message.
Answer: No longer. They have you by the neck if anything goes wrong.
