First the APP sucks (maybe you can use tone meter on that), stalls, does not upload, log outs, facial recognition issues, list goes on and on. Customer service is horrific. They advertise 1 GB on all accounts. That is only 1 GB for first time user. Not only do I pay $110 for crap app, now every year I need to pay more for GB space, increasing yearly, SCAM. Why, because you cannot archive or offload messages from the prior year subscriptions. I am on year 3 of this APP and if I am on it for next 3-5 years, I will be paying nearly double for space year over year. Apple charges.99 or $12 a year for 50GB, you all want charge $32 for 5GB or $58 for 10gb? Absolute sham and complete kickbacks to legislators, judges, court rooms. You all are worst app and my ex and I are so fed up we are in agreeance on something. We will not be using you all next year. Absolutely, disgrace of company and product.
This site is way more than messaging, my ex and I hardly ever been send messages. We can share everything we need to using the other sections. If I do have to send a message I know she's going to get it and I can see when she reads it. The functions on the calendar have been really helpful too like the parenting schedule and trades. Overall this site offers way more than regular email or texting does. It's been a huge help.
Bottom line, this program is a way for lawyers and judges to feel good about themselves by referring high conflict people to a program to solve their problems. The real problem is the user(s) and not what program you are using. No one monitors the conversations and no one looks at it in court. Unless you have something in writing that would hold them in contempt of court, there is no consequence or way to stop them from being a jerk. Lord knows you can't include 'Dont' be a jerk' in an agreement and no one cares how much of a jerk the other person is and a program won't change it. Also, the program is pretty archaic in its features and capabilities. Save your money on this 'Feel Good' program and do something that really makes you feel good... like a massage or a pedicure.
GMail or any other email client would be a far superior solution. Using any other email client I can forward my emails to the same recipient thus keep continuity. This apps makes every email message unique if you want to follow up on your own email... such as a reminder. This simple issue causes more confusion than anything and we want clarity.
The fact that the app doesn't sort based on chronology is equally mind blowing.
OFW likes to decide not to print... often resulting in delays to creating motions, affidavits and evidence.
Not a single judge knows anything about this app other than to suggest it.
Hi, Stephen - Thanks for your feedback. I understand how the ability to forward a message you sent to the same recipient would provide a way of sending a reminder about that message within the same chain. I will bring your comments to our development team as we continue to update our technology. By default, many entries on OFW will be viewable in chronological order automatically. For instance, messages in your Inbox are sorted in chronological order with the newest messages at the top of the list. On the website, you can reverse the order to view the oldest messages at the top of the list by clicking the ‘Date’ header at the top of the page. Reports on OFW can also be generated so that entries are viewable in chronological order in the report. If you’re having any trouble generating a report to download and print, please reach out to our support team so that they may provide assistance. Our team is available seven days a week by email at info@ourfamilywizard.com or by phone at (866) 755-9991.
I am using this app the same way as I would with google account. The only difference I have to pay $ do the other parties request during court.
For 4 years now we had week off/on and the only communication needed was for medical/dental appointment notice and uploaded documents following visits. The other thing was notice for pick up time/location.
I am not saying this app is bad or good. I know in my situation I will still refuse respond to any negative response from the other parent. Going back and forth with undermining decisions or pointless comments can never be solved by an app especially when the other party disagrees with everything.
Thanks for your review. Unlike services like traditional email and free online calendars, OFW offers a high level of documentation for all of your communications and entries. This eliminates the risk of your correspondence being manipulated or deleted, and it allows you to easily report on your co-parenting communications in case you need to share that information with your lawyer. Additionally, OFW is equipped with tools specifically designed for co-parenting communication. For instance, the OFW calendar has a built-in parenting schedule function that allows you to input your routine and sets it apart from other entries like events for doctor’s visits or other appointments. If a parenting time swap is called for, the Trade/Swap tool facilitates these requests in such a way that reduces confusion and keeps the details of the swap request as clear as possible. You can learn more about the complete OFW toolset by reviewing the Tips & Tricks section of our website or by simply reaching out to our dedicated Customer Support team. We’re available seven days a week by email at info@ourfamilywizard.com or by phone at toll-free (866) 755-9991. Support hours are as follows: Mon - Thurs: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM CST, Fri: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM CST, Sat - Sun: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM CST.
I wish I could give this 0 stars. This whole website/app could be avoided by use of a simple shared google calendar. This $119 per year is ridiculous, I can think of much better ways to use that money. We use this because we were mandated to, but once that is over, we will be using common sense and a google calendar (with read receipts) that does the exact same thing - for free!
It's a shame that courts mandate this, divorce is expensive enough.
Hi Shannon - Thanks for your feedback. In the time that you are using the OFW website and mobile apps, we will be happy to offer assistance to help you optimize the use of these tools. This app offers little more than email and a shared schedule for a hefty cost. $170/year per person. Yes it provides a log of communication in one location and a journal and calendar can be shared but there's not much else.
My co-parent decided it wasn't worth the month and is no longer using it, because email is basically the same, so I'm out the $. On a very restricted income raising 3 kids and doing my best but there is no recourse. It's mine for the remainder of the year, regardless of it being just over a month of using. Zero flexibility or extenuating circumstances from customer service. Rarely do you encounter that. Most companies are understanding and take into consideration circumstances but it seems like just a money grab for what it is. If you can make it through email save the $400 and do something better with the money.
Hi, Heather - Thanks for reaching out with your comments. Even if your co-parent is not using OFW, there are still ways you can use it for yourself. You can document child-related expenses, track payments and reimbursements, store medical data and other vital information for your children, maintain your parenting schedule, keep a log of check-ins at parenting time exchanges, and much more. You can even create free, limited access accounts for your children and other family members to access the Calendar, create entries in the Journal, and send/receive their own messages. Our support team is available seven days a week to walk you through using any aspect of the app. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d ever like assistance. We can be reached by email at info@ourfamilywizard.com or by phone at (866) 755-9991.
This app has features that are either difficult to use or do not work at all. Calling Support to resolve these issues doesn't seem to get the makers improve the logistics of this app.
Its a total waist of money.

This site has been a huge help to our family, it has greatly reduced our return trips to court to fight over parenting time and expenses. Everything is documented on the site and I never have to worry about the other parent "not getting" my messages.
This is a garbage app that costs WAY more than it should. Their "full suite of tools" costs more to use than the base $99/year for each participant. So for $200/year you basically get a text app. You can link your lawyer to your account, but they do not actively review your communication.
Customer service is abhorrent. I've had an easier time explaining math to my 1st and 3rd grader.
Courts should not be allowed to force you to use this app.
Answer: You can add Tonemeter to your subscription anytime by logging into the website from a computer or your smartphones interent browser, then go to My Account and click the green button to enable Tonemeter. You can also add Tonemeter to your subscription each time you renew your account. When using Tonemeter, red bars will appear at the bottom corner of the New Message window to alert you of any emotionally-charged phrase that it has detected. Click those red bars (or the orange box next to those bars when using the website on your computer), and you will see Tonemeters analysis of the phrases in question. If you see no red bars, then Tonemeter has not detected any concerning sentences in your message.
Answer: Hi, Jennifer - From the OFW Calendar, you can export events to a. Ics file and import those into your outside calendaring systems, like iCal. Here is a link to more instructions on how to do so: https://www.ourfamilywizard.com/knowledge-center/tips-tricks/parents-website/export-calendar
Answer: Hi, Katelynn - If your co-parent kept their notifications active, they'll continue to receive them even after their account has expired. As for being able to read a new message you sent, each user is granted two grace logins that will allow them to access their account after it has expired. After those two grace logins have been used, the subscription must be reactivated if they want to access their account and any new activity waiting to be viewed.
Answer: Hello - Yes, you will be able to access all of the messages and other entries in your existing account by renewing your subscription. You can renew your subscription yourself online by logging into your account via the website. If you need assistance in accessing your account or renewing your subscription, please contact our support team by email at info@ourfamilywizard.com or by phone at (866) 755-9991. Support hours are as follows: Mon - Thurs: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM CST, Fri: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM CST, Sat - Sun: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM CST.

Hi Whitney - Thanks for your comments. You can also download and print free PDF reports of your communication and other entries within OFW. If you are not working with your attorney or other family law or mental health practitioners directly on OFW, our reporting tools allow you to retrieve the information you need from your account to share with your practitioners or keep it for your own records.
