I've had too many blow over cracking table glass, then later plastic. Although it looks a little fragile fabric, actually very durable. Wish there were a tie down though. Crank works fine. Size as requested. The 30 mph wind resistance is no joke.

Do not order from this company! Low quality and the worst customer service. Our umbrella faded (see photo) after 3 months. They wanted to charge us $40 for the umbrella to be replaced under warranty.

Do not order from this company! Low quality and the worst customer service.

Our umbrella faded (see photo) after 3 months. They wanted to charge us $40 for the umbrella to be replaced under warranty.

Received a dark green umbrella instead of the ordered grey one and have been unable to get the company to even respond to my issue. As requested, i have filed the exchange request by email with photo proof, which was acknowledged by automated response. Nothing since. Chatted via the chat function with josh, who said he informed the warranty department of my issue too. Two days and counting. Will now dispute the charge with my credit card company.

Broke within 3 months, never left up. Was taking it down when broke. They tell you it has a full warranty if anything happens to it but what they don't tell you is that your $300 umbrella will cost you an additional $150 to get it replaced. Fraudulent is The word I would use to describe this company.

Been looking the perfect umbrella for our back patio. Hopefully we found it at PatioSunUmbrellas. Haven't received it yet, but should this week. Super excited about the life time warranty, and the shade:)

It doesn't get worse than this. Stay away!
Crank umbrellas break after first use. They do not replace the broken one or refund the order
There is no way to call customer service only sales and they can only send them emails
Then they tell you you didn't order anything from them despite you sending a copy of the order
Really bad. Dont waste your money or time

When my umbrella broke (cord snapped, fabric tore) less than 60 days after receiving it, customer service replied very promptly: They would send a new umbrella if I paid a $40 shipping fee. I declined, not wanting to pay half the cost of the umbrella for shipping, and asked for a refund. After multiple phone calls and emails I was told that was not an option. Would never buy from this company again.

When I looked up my tracking number, there was a place that said buyer would have to pay possible import taxes, fees from Canada. I e-mailed customer service and within a few hours, I received an e-mail back stating that there would be no fees. Everything was paid by the PatioSunUmbrellas. Very impressed with the rapid response time. Can't wait to get my umbrellas and use them!

We purchased three umbrellas at twice the price under the illusion that they were better than most and would not fade. After 6 months our bright red umbrellas had faded to white. When we notified the company they advised they would replace the umbrellas at a cost of $40 each for shipping. Strongly recommend you avoid doing business with these people.

I am a new customer, placed my first order. My umbrella was shipped and delivered within two days! Wow! However, unfortunately; the crank on my umbrella was damaged upon opening. I contacted customer support who took care of me right away! Thank you so much PatioSunUmbrellas.com =)

Ordered three umbrellas in MY, one shipped write away and was received that was great. Had to call to get other two shipped took a while but finally shipped and only one showed up. So that was June 15 still waiting with no response on third umbrella. I called email

I bought umbrella because it had a good warranty. After less than one season it broke and they want to charge me an additional 40.00 to send a replacement. The quality is so poor, it is not worth 10.00 to replace. Complete garbage!

I purchased an umbrella and it never worked from the beginning. After a few uses within a month it broke. (The string that winds the umbrella up broke in 2) I tried to contact the company for a replacement since they say all over their website lifetime warranty. They said they would send a replacement but I had to pay $40 shipping. Wow! The umbrella was only $89. So, I received a defective umbrella with free shipping but now they won't stand by their product to send me a new umbrella for free. (Which is what the website says) That's not free and that's not good customer service. Tried to call a few times, sent emails... asked for a refund and they would respond at all. I would not buy from this company. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot.
I wouldn't have given them 1 star but had to choose at least 1

I had no trouble reaching people as others had reported. They both answered the phone and responded to emails. HOWEVER, I do have an issue with the Lifetime "Warranty". All they are doing is making you buy a new umbrella at a discounted cost. My original umbrella was purchased for $210. It now sells on the site for $249. My "warranty" replacement for a faded and broken umbrella was processed for a $150 "shipping charge". Highly upset with the bait and switch. Don't go paying extra thinking you have a lifetime warranty. You don't.

I ordered an umbrella from this company and tried to return it due to receiving it damaged. I was told I was responsible for shipping back to Canada ( where it was shipped from).

Unknowingly, my husband also ordered a different umbrella from this company. It arrived and the umbrella had too many panels and would not open properly. We have emailed 6 times and they keep asking for more photos. Unacceptable! Some one should go after this company for such poor business practices. Neither issue has been resolved. NEVER BUY FROM THEM.

Will make sure everyone knows not to buy from you.so much for warranty sent 5 emails and pictures. Never received a response. Calling consumer advocate and better business beaurea. Paid 90 dollars for trash. Should be ashamed of themselves

Purchased a cantilever umbrella. Once assemble and opened, the umbrella repeatedly tips over. Poor quality. Poses a safety hazard. Notified the company and were told, rudely, that we must pay the return shipping, to CANADA! Or take a 20% discount off the price of the umbrella and we keep it. We informed the rep we do not want product that does not perform/function as advertised. And furthermore, do not want product that is unsafe. We also refuse to pay for return shipping. POOR customer service at best. Will notify my credit card company. Stay away from this website and product...

Won't get too verbose here. Short story is I ordered a Tan umbrella. Received the email invoice and noticed it was a White umbrella. I called the 800 number immediately, spoke with a heavily accented order taker. She put me on hold, came back and assured me they will ship the Tan. 6 days later I receive a white umbrella. Sent a curt email detailing the mistake. Received an email apologizing for the mis-step. Told me to keep the White umbrella and they will send out the Tan one FOC. Fed Ex has a ticket created but received no such product to ship. I would deny the CC charge, however we leave for an trip internationally and I don't want deal with any issues with my CC while away
This company is slime. STAY far away

The company should not have a return policy as its prohibitively expensive to return items. The quality of the umbrella fabric is inferior. Definitely, not worth the price! And, customer service is non-existent.

I would think twice about purchasing anything from this company!

Read what the BBB says about this place. It has an F rating! They fail to mention you (the consumer) will have to pay shipping costs-TO CANADA regardless if they made a mistake and sent you the wrong thing, the item was defective or damaged, or you just don't like it. Seems like the owner of this place is banking on the fact that it would be more expensive and more of a hassle to ship the item back so people are just stuck w/their purchase. If David Levy (the proprietor of this place) is operating legally, he's on the cusp. There are many other more legitimate places to purchase merchandise from!

Tip for consumers:
The critical reviews are 100% spot on about returning issues. I wish I had checked before I purchased from Patio Sun Umbrellas

An umbrella was delivered with a cracked plastic cap that fits in the center of the pole where the top and bottom poles connect. In response to my email with photos, I was asked to use the cap from the "old" umbrella. However, my old umbrella did not have a cap anyplace on the pole. I was very disappointed in the failure or refusal of PatioSunUmbrellas to provide excellent customer service.

I purchased a cantilevered umbrella and it came in with a hole and it was so cheaply made that I was very disappointed. I then found the same umbrella at a local store for half the price. The company would not respond to my emails after I asked for my money back. They offer to replace it but did not want to send it to me. I paid through my paypal account and had to file a complaint. The then came back and said that I had to close my complaint before they would send me a new one, of course if I do that then Paypal will not help with the resolution. I was stuck and the company does not have a number to call for customer service. You have to communicate via email and they are very poor at responding. If you want quality products and good customer service, go somewhere else. I am not out my money with a defective product.

Bought two umbrellas... after 4 years, it is torn...
When I call and leave message, no one answers. When I send emails, no one answers. Promise of lifetime warranty.? Haha
Bought another from a different store.
Do not buy from this company. No service, false promises. Very sad to have a business like this get away with false statements.

I bought this as a birthday gift. Arrived totally unassembled. As they were assembling it, they discovered a missing (critical) part. No amount of calls, chats or emailing have resulted in even the courtesy of a reply. I too relied on the Lifetime Warranty in choosing this product. Go local where you can find someone to respond to you.

They offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee because they know that you can not return it! The website makes you believe you are ordering from California. It actually comes from Canada... so if you need to do a return it will cost more than the umbrella to ship it back. They offered me a refund of 20% back but have never received it and have emailed them several times. BTW when you call it instructs you to email them and I haven't been able to talk to a live person. I would not recommend ordering from them!
