DO NOT TRUST

I would like to advise people that PayPal can not be trusted... I tried to claim a refund on a item that was delivered to a different address I never got my goods after so many emails... Also PayPal said they have a pic of delivery so they are happy even though it clearly was not my front door... They accept random pics from front doors even without asking for your own pic of your own. DON'T TRUST ANYMORE.

Expensive and bad

I am Paypal customer since 22 years. At that time, they were good and priceworthy - now they are bad and expensive. They are unwilling or unable to deal with situations outside their standardized procedures, they support criminal activities and do not care for their customer's rightful issues and close you out if you complain or are not satisfied.
Understandably they receive 87% negative reviews - and here is one more

Dubious behaviour

A bank transfer that should take 3-5 days and 4 weeks on still haven't received any money. No communication from this bank at all we have to ring them constantly never getting a proper explanation about what has happened to the transfer. Telling us we will get a call back when they have more information but they never call back.thank God for coming my way by using GAARD.IO they helped me with my lost money buy recovering my lost money

Bad service

They promise costumer protection but never protect me when my packages were marked as delivered but was not. Courier left a package at an exposed place and it was stolen. I did not receive it. I sent to Paypal a photo from courier where he left it, Paypal did not pay attention.the photo shows that courier even did not enter the building to deliver and put the package at an exposed place at intercome area for everybody to take. Aliexpress and Paypal refused to refund as usually. That is why they like to work together. Aliexpress prefer payments through Paypal. Paypal never helped me with my lost packages I did not receive. Aliexpress and Paypal protect only sellers if your package wrongly scanned as delivered but was not. Be careful

I was clearly fraudulently bilked by a hacked Garmin file which gave me a telephone number of the Tech Services in Yonkers, NY. When I tried to update my maps on my Garmin Drive, the hacked file led me to these guys who represented themselves as Garmin subcontractors. I even had a witness who was a guest at Christmas dinner who heard this. They told me Garmin was not honoring the free maps it promised (partly true verified on the Internet) and charged me $199 to fix the problem. In fact they got the maps free from Garmin and uploaded them to my Garmin Drive through my computer while paying themselves through Paypal and sending emails supposedly from me to them saying I would not dispute the charge. Paypal denied my claim to stop a clearly fraudulent charge without even contacting my witness. I will never use Paypal and wish I had found this site earlier.

It was the best company in its field and ended up being the worst and usless and incapable customer service i ever see!First of all i want to notice that i had two accounts!Both of them the last month have the same problem i cant open my messages.After many many chats with their customer service no one can solve my problem and they say about cache cookies and etc that i was already cleared!So i delete my account!I had a long time to use the second one and when i go in i see the same exact problem.When i spoke by chat with their customer service they said that they want to verify that the account is mine and also for work properly i have to send them documents id and address proove.This is the first time i hear this in my life!Anyway i sent them the documents and again the same problem!These guys this company is a big joke right now!I gave them 1 day then i will delete also this account and i will never use paypal again.And i will say it for one more time that in the past it was a great company and they help in many issues that i had with some stores but now they became a company to avoid!If the ownership change i want to congratulate the new owners for this amazing service!

Can't be trusted

I really want to give no stars. I had a merchant take hundreds of dollars out my account then put it back then took it again this went on more than 12 times. Then they took money out through 14 transaction all were made on same day at the exact same time which is impossible. You can't make that many transactions without a. In passing by. I did a chat with the merchant whom said I did not use my card that day and I had to dispute it through PayPal I took screen shot sent to PayPal have been fighting with them for over a month. They only gave me the money back for 5 transactions and trying to say the other 9 were authorized how can 9 transaction be authorized and not 5 when they were all the the exact time and the merchant even said I did not do it. And show activity from merchant sight to prove I did t do it. They should have caught them when they were playing around with hundreds of dollars back and forth. They can't be trust with anyone money. Cause when something happens they don't have your back even though you have proof. I will be post this on all social medias anyone who reads this please share.

Unfortunately Paypal does not protect the customer, despite clear indications that I was scammed, my case was closed in favor of the scammer. It is very sad. This lesson cost me $39.99 but now I know that Paypal is not safe...

I would often choose a seller based on the point that they have PayPal as an option for safety.
I received counterfeit Nike shoes from kickonstyle.com
When I reported it to PayPal, they wanted me to ship them back in the mail.
PayPal should know that it is illegal to put counterfeit items in the mail. Because I refuse to do something illegal, they closed my dispute.
Don't trust PayPal.

Untrustworthy

PayPal denied an appeal regarding Discord. They claim I received services. I was unable to appeal. It was closed the day it was denied. The 10 day deadline was not offered to me. I have screenshots as proof.

Also, since the dispute, I have been experiencing issues with logging into my account. Before the dispute, there were no issues. It could be a coincidence but the timing is sketchy.

Upon speaking with Paypal and expressing my concerns on a recorded line and on another occasion, sellers in my case, are offered no protection as for a buyer. Here are a few points to consider - A case was opened by a buyer seeking a refund and funds were immediately deducted from my account, always this the case with Paypal, at least in my experience. Furthermore, Payal allowed the buyer to keep my items after the case was decided in the buyers favor, although a label was sent to the buyer from me to return the products my items his possession. Paypal did not enforce any seller protection so the items so the items could be sent back to me once the case was decided in the buyers favor. Is anyone else experiencing such inept seller protection in Paypal? This is not the way to do business in the real world. Even worst still, my customer, agreed last year to an open invoice, to be paid monthly. Half way through the agreement, the customer without notice and upon receiving the 3k worth of items, decides to quit paying. But why should he respond? There is no penalty to a buyer who doesn't pay a seller in Paypal invoicing. How is it that Paypal is so one sided in favor of a buyer in just these two cases and not a seller? Paypal is like a sanctuary space for buyers only. I have to hire a collection agency to go after the customer. If the roles were reversed, the funds in my account would have been immediately removed from my account as they always have been, even before an appeal and further review. And that's even before attachments are sent from the overprotected buyers. Is this how Paypal discourages sellers or is it just me, to continue to do business on such a sanctuary space for buyers only platform?

Incompetent.

I bought bitcoin in PayPal and tried to transfer it to somewhere for finance, but I kept getting security blocks for 10 days. Finally, I gave up and sold my bitcoin and went elsewhere. PayPal is extremely incompetent when it comes to crypto. Its agents were useless when I asked for help.

A customer accidently did a chargeback. Called bank called paypal and now PayPal is holding my account hostage sitting at a negative balance until clear. DO NOT USE PAYAPL FOR SELLING! Been with them for two decades never had one single charge back they never questioned the charge back they never called me contacted me just automatically made my account negative and now they're telling me that I'm stuck for the 75 days ev.en though the customer recalled

These people are currently holding $77 and change of mine hostage. My friend sent it to me but accidentally sent it to the business account. And they froze it and their excuse was that I must be a miner. Or I made it in a country that doesn't accept the middle Ohio, USA. You guys need to be charged for theft and plus pay all extra money that you earn while holding our money in bigger accounts. Your thieves, your scumbags, and you use little foreign pieces of $#*!. So we can barely understand you anyway

They don't populate transaction data older than 2 years. You have to call and request a PDF.
I did so and did not receive a PDF after a week of waiting (supposed to be 24-48 hours) and upon calling back, the next rep said they could see a request was made but was still being processed but would "restart" it for me. I asked for a manager and "one wasn't available".
The biggest problem here is after calling Paypal, an old CC that was one of the few listed on my Paypal account, was locked for fraudulent activity.

So something that should have been as easy as me accessing my account and looking back on a calendar, turned into something that could potentially cause ID theft and more personal account issues.

Thanks, PayPal.

At the end of October 2024, I transferred over $8,000 to my fiancé, using PayPal, but I accidentally clicked a field labeled "goods and services" instead of "Friends and Family". Upon seeing this, my fiancé immediately tried to return the payment, but my money was not returned. My fiancé called PayPal and she was told by PayPal that the only way I can get my money back is that she needs to provide her Social Security number, which she is not willing to do because PayPal will report it as Income to her. We have spent many hours on the phone with PayPal Customer Support, explaining this was a simple mistake, but they tell us that there is no way to correct the designation that I accidentally assigned when transferring the money. They also said they would send the money back in 60 days after deducting 24% tax but after more than 60 days they did not do that and we had received no communication from them. This was money that I earned and it has already been taxed! Upon realizing we would get nowhere pursuing PayPal, we contacted the Better Business Bureau as well as the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau and finally after more than 3 months, they refunded the money to my fiance's account. We now understand that PayPal is not an honest enterprise and we want all people out there to be aware of the horrible business practices of this financial organization.

I do understand that banks and companies like PayPal must confirm your identity. Hence, I work for a company that needs to do this.
What I don't understand is that PayPal, a company that works in almost every country, makes it impossible to adapt your data. Impossible! But limit your account because of this.
PayPal! There are many inhabitants of the universe who move from country to country for their jobs. They live there for some years. Or shorter, and then move on to another country.
But because of your faulty website, information cannot be changed.
Thus, I cannot change info, because your website doesn't let me, yet I am the one who is being limited?!

I tried to remove my account, but I cannot even do this because of the data that I need to provide.
You know what!. Do you believe I am going against your AML/TF regulations? Please report me. I don't care, I am as clean as can be.

Known to be close peoples accounts and confiscate they're money for no reason even after giving them all your personal information Id Driving license bank statement etc.Thank you paypal for freezing my account an my money for no reason. I learned a lot by avoiding you. There are a ton of services out there with much lower fees that doesn't steal peoples hard earned money.
