“Folder sharing links”

Rayon E.

The folder sharing link is great. The folder can be shared in the email as well, once persons are invited but i hope that persons who are not invited can still access my folder in their email too, in the future via a link through email and social media apps

“Scam "free trial" can't cancel, will continue to charge your CC”

Ray S.
9/18/24

I am not subscribed for anything other than the free plan. No way to cancel anything that I'm not subscribed to, but they keep billing my Credit card $144/month. Even after canceling the card, they are still able to keep charging me anyway? Subscribe if you think they are worth it, but FORGET ABOUT FREE. I do not have proof as my bank already flagged it as a fraudulent charge.

Basically the site is designed to trick you into editing a pdf, then holing your work hostage unless you pay for a subscription, which is either 70$ for a year or 20$ a month. The software itself is ok, although not really worth the money but this underhand tactic is disgusting. I'm left in a situation where I'm down 2 hours or 20$, and as a college student I can't afford to spare either

Tip for consumers:
Don't if only because the marketing tactic is immoral

I signed up for the free trial only to have the $72 taken out of my account instantly. After calling to resolve this issue the staff were unhelpful when they finally agreed to refund the money i needed them to contact my bank to say the money could be released back into my account instantly so the lady told me to ring them in a 3 way call so i asked her to stay on hold whilst i rang them and as soon as i put her on hold she hung up i have now been trying to call them back for 3 hours and they will no longer answer my call. This is the worst experience i have every had with any online application would not suggest unless you would like to lose money and deal with useless staff.

This was recommended by Google, so I uploaded my document, completed 5 pages, tried to print it to check, and was a told I could pay 6 dollars a month - in a lump sum, for a year - or pay monthly for 20 dollars a month - for the honour of printing it.
This is dishonest. I don't mine paying, but tricking someone into being forced to pay or lose their work is immoral.
I will start again with a different software.

The service did not work for me. The representative could not help me fix anything. I cancelled with him on the phone, emailed and received a confirmation of cancellation on Nov. 3. Now today I saw PDFFiller charged my bank account for $120. I'm going to get down to the bottom of this tomorrow morning.

After 2 hours typing in a complex Social Security document, I had my choice of $20 (month to month) or $72 for the year in order to print the document. No information is available until you click "DONE". Then you are taken to the payment page. So very, very frustrating and misleading.

I wonder when PDFfiller will refund the $72 that was taken from my Paypal account. I have opened a Paypal dispute and my next is to open a dispute with the Better Business Bureau. My fee was to be $6 per month, but they took $72 from my bank account through Paypal. I closed my PDFfiller account the very same day that I mistakenly opened it. I have been in one sided contact with the company several times. They never answer. There is a money back guarantee, so return my $72. Thank you

Hi Nina,

I apologize for the confusion. If you sign up for monthly plan, you pay $19.99/month. However if you want to sign up for 1 year right away, the price is $71.88 for all 12 months. This works out to $5.99 a month instead of the $19.99 - a 65% discount per month! The full 12 months is billed right away.

We have already refunded the money on 04/27/16. I apologize once again for the misunderstanding. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you. Feel free to drop your concerns at support@pdffiller.com.

This site will not let you print or use the site to fill and print. 20 dollars a month otherwise your docs are a hostage. I refuse to do business with people who advertise "free pdf editor" and rip you off... UGH!

Avoid this product if you're expecting a free pdf filler. The worst thing is that you only find out once you've gone through the process of completing a form and you want to export it. I wasted 45 mins of my time only to find it wants payment when you click on export or save e.g. as a PDF!

Cumbersome, expensive, very difficult to use. Way overpriced (a postage stamp is $3). Doesn't save documents for you... necessary service, but could be done much more effectively. NOT user friendly! Also annoyed because I tried to review them on their site, and they wouldn't allow a review under 2 stars.

It's a bait and switch, everything upfront screams "free". You are deceived into inputting form data, try to save a copy, then get hit with the paywall asking for card info. They promise prompt customer service to reassure you it's not a con, knowing full well they will get away with charging a lot of people for months on end because of this horribly shady practice. They could implement a feature that allows a certain amount of free downloads before requiring a payment/subscription, but their goal is not to gain customers through honesty, transparency, or through a superior product.

Tip for consumers:
Do not give them a cent, if you’re going to pay you might as well use Adobe products

Alex hi!
First of, we advertise the free trial, and we never state we have a free plan, because we don't have that (and never did) and we are very accurate in our wording.
Our free trial is full 30 days, no limitation on the quantity of downloads or uploads whatsoever. And having a paid plan afterwards is most certainly not a must at all. You can always cancel.
And since you've mentioned a comparison with Adobe --
You might want to compare their free trial (7 days vs 30 days in our case) and pricing (significantly higher).
With all the honesty, we strongly recommend you give it a full test drive of 30 days before calling names :)

I signed up with the basic plan, which is free for the first 30 days and then $8.00 per month and cancel anytime. I used it once and cancelled within the first 30 days, but still got charged $8.00. A month later was charged $155.00. Thank God that my credit card company saw this as a fraud and declined the charge right away!

Maria hi! Many thanks for reaching out!
If you were charged (twice), that means that the cancelation of your free trial did not go through, sorry.
$8 is our monthly plan, $155 is our annual plan (+ taxes). It appears that you somehow switched from monthly to annually (we can't do this transfer on our side, unless a customer requests this specifically).
Anyways, let' make sure your subscription is fully canceled and there are no future charging attempts on your card. Please email support@pdffiller.com from the email which you've used as login in pdfFiller. We'll handle this case ASAP.
Many thanks in advance!

Email I sent in response to PDFfiller prompting me for payment. Needless to say, it was a no-reply email address.
"Sarah:
I am reluctant to pay for a service that is not upfront about its fees. I have just read numerous negative reviews after I became suspicious. Plus there appears to be no page up/down functionality, which makes it a pain to move around the document. What is exact one-off cost to print the 2011s and Schedule K forms? I'd prefer to send a check. Is there a guarantee you would even unlock my pages so I could print?
Thanks.

I am disabled and needed to use this "free" tool (as advertised) to fill in my claim form for disability benefits. 3 hours later, I go to print only to find I have to sign up to print off. You are complete $#*!s, nothing more. Bad business. As an aside, when you look at the pattern of reviews (5 star vs 1 star, very little in between, name patterns of 5 star reviews) it is clear they are using "paid for" 5 star reviewers. Also, those apologies they send: if you are sorry then change your practice and stop scamming customers.

I spent hours researching and finishing my documents. Went to print it, perfect, register and pay $6.00 month for it. This company, not unlike many other shysters on the internet, do not have any concept or idea what free means. No access to computer dictionary like the rest of us. Might be worth $72 to someone, definitely not me. Scared to be up front with the customer. Something to hide.

DO NOT give any of your credit card details to this company. My card had been used for 4 transactions of Personnal uses and I had to cancel my card and block my account to prevent further damage.

I had use google pay which I thought is trust worthy to sign up the trial, and 2 days later my card was being used. I will report about their criminal act and take action against them.

AC hi!
We are somewhat confused by what's written here and would need more info on the case. Since you've mentioned Google Pay, was it desktop version or our mobile app? In any case, we do not charge customers on the second or third day of using our service. Our mobile free trial is one week sharp, our desktop free trial is 30 days (the first charge goes on the second month of using our software). So, you were charged 2 days after subscribing with us, there is a great probability this was not us, actually.
If you would like us to investigate your case internally, please email support@pdffiller.com, we will certainly do that.

PDFfiller does not work. At least with the Florida RT-6 form. It frequently will not let me fill in the last character of a field or sub-field leaving it blank and moving to the next field. I tried to erase the field in question, and that did not work at all. Then after spending over an hour with it, I discover that it is a whopping $6 a month. Ridiculous price for software that doesn't work to the point of being totally unusable.

My best regards to your fast, professional and friendly customer service. I am extremely grateful for your quick help.
I had some issues and have decided that I don't need their product but because I found some solution for my business. I was thinking that they will keep my money and will not make any refunds. But it was really operative after my first request to their customer support.
Their relation to clients is really good.

They simply copied the form I wanted from the IRS website. I should have gone there first. No up-front pricing info, filled in what I needed then Wham! You have to pay up to even print the document. Going to write the IRS and see if they can lean on these people.

Tip for consumers:
Don't! Go to IRS.gov to get any forms. Many IRS forms can now be filled online. No need to pay to get the same forms you can probably get for free.

Verified purchase

It has been necessary from time to time to complete forms for travel and other official uses where it is important that the documents are legible. My handwriting isn't great, so recently my wife and I used PDFiller to complete forms for visa applications. We found the software easy to use and the end result very satisfactory. In addition, in this application, completed forms may be stored for future reference or reuse given that much of the basic personal information remains the same.

I wasn't looking for a handout and found the price point very reasonable. I actually found it cheaper to other similar services. Other reviews have people complaining about auto-renewal, but that's no different than a Netflix subscription. Simply, it's a really good program with an easy interface that allows me to do what I needed to do on a budget.

Company is a credit card scam!

I've been registered without my will and knowledge by someone with strange e-mail. They used my credit card details. I've been charged 20US.
When I asked a company about that, they VERY QUICKLY decided to refund after my first message, without checking anything. But if someone was registered as a simple user (even with a stolen card), why make refund so quickly? Without any investigation and questions? So I checked all the complains to PDFfiller and the answer is simple.
PDFFiller management knows very well about their methods to "acquire" users and stealing credit card data from other companies. This is how they do their "business". They should end in jail.

Evaluated product for less than half a day, and ultimately found it would not suit my needs. Less than 24 hrs later, I got an email I had been charged for one year subscription. I contacted them immediately to cancel and they simply canceled the automatic renewal set for 2020. Thus, I paid $17 and change for something I got absolutely nothing out of. I call that a scam.

When searching for a USPS form a pdf was brought up on the web page which I thought was just a form. When I tried to print it then a page appears saying I will be charged $6.00 I find this obnoxious at the time but paid via credit card. I then get an e-mail saying I will be charged $120.00. A pure scam. Avoid this company. They should not be in business.
