My husband, myself and daughter are sick. We ordered 3 times and we're no shows. They lied on us and used a number I changed personally 4 years ago. They've used the right number in the past. I have never wanted people fired before now! No compensation was offered as well. Shame on them!
Even if specified in delivery hints. Driver delivers wherever the hell he feels like it and I had to call my bank. Awful experience.
They constantly "forget" to deliver groceries, deliver to the wrong address. They have terrible customer service. Everyone on the phone states they cannot "do that" for any questions. No one seems to take responsibility for their actions. Terrible customer service Terrible delivery service. I would NOT USE THEM!
Received some expired items from peapod and customer service ignored me, to get a refund I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company and my visa gave it back to me. Then peapod emails me about the chargeback and how i need to respond to them to settle up. I reply explaining what happened. They ignore me and a few weeks later send the same email to me. Again I reply and explain. They ignore me and again a week later send the same email to which I reply and they again ignore me. They deactivated my account when they sent the first email insinuating i can't use peapod anymore unless i pay for the expired items they sent me. No thanks. No desire to use them again. Their customer service is trash. Who sends expired food and expects people to not request a refund for it?
My online order was $130 and the store over charged me $152. Sorry But $22 is a big difference
Call the store and assistant manager John McLean had a bad attitude and addressed me by yelling at me instead of explaining why I was over charged. I called Corporate and they are as useless as the assistant manager. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. YOU STOLE MY MONEY BUT THIS IS THE LAST TIME. ALSO REPORTING PEAPOD TO THE BBB. SADLY DISAPPOINTED
So I am at home sick with Covid, and since they forgot my ginger ale actually suggested that I come to the store to get it. I ordered it this morning and now they are delivering it late tomorrow.
NEVER AGAIN
The last time I use this company (10/22/2022), they were not only late they missed delivered my groceries, only to received them 4 hrs. Later from a neighbor, I had to throw all the meats out for safety precaution. The produce appears like the ones they would throw away, and they charge for things that weren't deliver. You're better off going on your own and taking an uber or Lyft to get your groceries home.
I waited several hours only to have the delivery person dump my groceries in front of my door without even ringing the bell. And to add insult to injury, a whole bag of groceries was missing. Finding the number ti complain is like looking for a needle in a haystack. And then the only solution is a refund. So much for convenience. Anthony - worst delivery in NW DC. I get a peapod order every month since I got sick and had to stop working. Until my last order almost doubled I didn't realize a couple things until I talked to someone today an employee that doesn't want to be named told me to be aware of. When going through and placing my order I pay attention to sale items and only purchase those items for my family as I'm given an allowance bi-monthly to spend. When I went to input my order I was informed that I used my allowance in the last order but I couldn understand how as my last order was only $6 over the budget. Now when I received that order I was also upset. I ordered 3lbs of grapes on sale for $1.99 I received 3 huge bags of grapes all different brands totalling way over 3lbs. I ordered strawberries they were buy 1 get 2 free. I received 6 different types of berries organic, candy, Driscoll's, bubblegum, regular but 2 different brands. And these were just 2 different wierd things that I received that changed the price of my order drastically at no fault of my own. I also found out today from the employee they've ha alp of complaints because the peapod system doesn't recognize stop and shop sale items when they shop and ring the order out. On top of the fact the raise the prices for shopping his way you think they'd care about the orders and customers. I don't have the option or ability to shop at another store but ivi could I would bad enough the employees don't care what the produce looks like that their putting in your order and I have found it goes bad so much quicker than if I went in and got it myself. If this is how stop and shop and peapod treat customers regularly it's pretty disgusting. At 48 I've shopped at stop and shop my whole life and I love across the street I'm really reconsidering shopping right now. With the cost of food being high as it is my 178$ order ended up being 320$ and that's unacceptable to me.
RECEIVE 1/2 OF MY ORDER THET BILLED ME FOR THE WHOLE AMOUNT DUE. I CALLED THEM TO GET MY OTHER ITEMS MISSING THEY REDELIVERED. THEN BILLED ME AGAIN FOR THOSE SAME MISSING ITEMS. THEY RETRIEVED THE MONEY BACK I TRIED CALLING PEAPOD NO ONE ANSWERS ON HOLD FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. NO RETURN PHONE CALL LEFT MESSAGE WITH GIANT PEAPOD RCEIVABLES, NO COURTESY TO CALL ME BACK. TERRIBLE SERVICE. THEY STILL COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY THEY TOOK FUNDS WHEN I FINALLY TALK TO SOME. DID NOT APOLOGIZE. DISAPOINTED WITH THEIR SERVICE. I AM ALONG TIME VALUE CUSTOMER. SHAME ON THEM.
I I'm so sick of Giant Food just changing my order to suit them. My latest order delivered today, they updated my order and said I did not order the butter or the milk. The whole reason I placed the order was because the butter was on sale. I'm 63 and not senile. Retired at 59 comfortably. I must have been doing something right. And my milk? Where's the milk? Was there a big run on milk and butter? I know what I ordered, but they removed it on my order status. Why my order was $75.11, to $61? When I called them, they said they do not see those items that I ordered. I know what I ordered. I need to just stop using the giant delivery system and go instacart. This is not the first time giant has done this. I still have my paper check cashing card from 50 years ago. Ridiculous how giant picks and chooses what you're going to order.
I ordered groceries online for delivery on 12/3 and a hold was placed on my credit card for the total. I was subsequently charged on 12/6 for the order. However, the hold was never released. This caused serious issues as I needed those funds for other authorizations. I constantly emailed and called the folks at Peapod to try to resolve the issue. I even went to the Store Manager. On 12/10 I was told I would get a call back from someone in billing within 48 hours. After 48 hours and no callback I called again each day with no success. It has been over 10 days and my credit card hold is still not released. This is unacceptable.
That's it! I've given him more chances than they deserve!, Last time we sat and waited for 4 1/2 hours for our delivery!, After several calls we find out that someone cancel our order along with four other orders and nobody could give us an answer! Obviously that's why they got a 1.4 star rating should've been -1.4 they're so pathetic! This time they were two hours late of their delivery time they said between 11 AM and 1 PM Sunday the seventh so once again our daily routine has been interrupted by the pathetic service Peapod gives you! What's the census asking for special instructions like his duly noted come to the back door our kitchen is in the back of our house but no once again ring the doorbell and there's a bunch of bags sitting on the front porch, maybe they just can't read? I refused to pay $10 for a lousy delivery service and it's not the $10 they brag about their fantastic door to door delivery but I can't even get the right door multiple times late I just don't understand how they're still in business I'm better off just putting my order in and go pick it up curbside! Constantly misleading on their delivery time even with a three hour window they just still can't get it on time to us, you would think with the multiple complaints they would try to make their company better but instead they're just slipping away every order, it's a shame they cannot provide a good service of just simple delivery!, Maybe it's just me?! And I don't like when they break my cookies! Or the gashed cantaloupe which now has to either be eaten unripened or just thrown away again, well I hope my review is helped other people not waste their time and again I hope I'm not the only one complaining but from the other reviews obviously I'm not! I tried to put an order with peapod bye using my snap card and I had enough money on my snap card but they also put a $20 hold on my checking account which I didn't have and they cancelled my order, WTF the reason am on snap is because am poor and don't have any money
No delivery before a holiday because the driver didn't have GPS? Customer Service Terrible. Horrible
The search bar rarely works so it's hard to find products you need. The search bar for coupons never works so you spend a lot of time going through the list of coupons to find relevant ones. They cancel items often. Just don't make it available to put in my cart if you don't have it. That simple. I've given up trying peapod because it's so time consuming due to its terrible website.
Items are always out of stock even after the selection was available at the time of selection purchase.
Twice I have taken a 3-10 time slot as that was all that was available. Both times it showed the order shipped and ready to go at like 12pm. Then their map app showed the truck 5 minutes away from my house around 5 pm. Did they make the delivery? Nope. They went an hour away from my house for the next delivery, then took another hour making deliveries out that way, then came an hour backwards to my house making my delivery at almost 9pm. Then they couldn't deliver to inside my house saying the stair was too slippery. I am in a wheelchair and handicapped and I had someone put rocksalt down at 5pm when I saw them 5 minutes from my house. Who expected them almost 4 hours later! WHAT! NEVER AGAIN.
Peapod not only charged me for items that they never delivered and when I told the driver items are missing he shrugged and took off. To top it off the dairy items are all smashed and the cake I ordered was not sent but a totally different smashed caked was in its place. But even worse is they took

After waiting for 4 days for order to be delivered, they did not deliver my groceries because I did not answer the door.the website says contactless delivery for covid. The fees are higher than any other service out there. Half my groceries were out of stock and I was charged for them anyway. On top of the high delivery fees these people want a tip on top of that. If you don't tip they circle "tip not included " on the receipt in red. I will never use them again since I discovered instacart, which is far superior.
Answer: It's a legitimate company. We have gotten deliveries from them when we needed them. BUT ---- and it's a BIG BUT when you are dependent on an order being filled with inventory in question. Are they truly completely out of eggs and onions? Was I charged for them? I'll never know. BECAUSE -- they are 100% unresponsive to problems and concerns. Three emails -- unanswered. One phone call (forewarned about a 36 minute wait-time) disconnected at their end after 77 minutes. I HATE THEM.
Answer: Never got the same day or next day expiration, though, last Thanksgiving I ordered a tray of sweet potatoes and tray of stuffing and received two trays of stuffing. Credit is given pretty quickly.
